Usually when you find out you have a stalker, you don’t fall in love with him.
But Banger Olivia Crest isn’t your normal, run of the mill, everyday girl. Banger is a truck driver who just so happens to know how to sling drinks in her spare time.
She’s had a bad hand dealt to her time after time, and the last thing that she wants is to go all in. At least, that’s until she meets the geeky biker with his shy looks, and his surprisingly awesome fighting skills.
Easton McKennick, ex-FBI agent and newest member of the Battle Crows MC, never really intended to actually reveal that he’d been stalking Banger since his early days in the FBI. In fact, he never intended to do anything at all when it came to the woman that held his heart.
That was, until she offered to be his fake date to a police ball that just so happened to be where his own stalker would be. To sell it that he was happy and he’d moved on from his previous relationship, Banger and Easton pretend they’re a couple.
All it takes is two hours for them both to realize that there’s not very much pretending going on.
The only problem is, Easton’s stalker put a bull’s-eye on their backs, and they don’t know how to fix it.
Lani Lynn Vale is married to the love of her life that she met in high school. She fell in love with him because he was wearing baseball pants. Ten years later they have three perfectly crazy children and a cat named Demon who likes to wake her up at ungodly times in the night. They live in the greatest state in the world, Texas. She writes contemporary and romantic suspense, and has a love for all things romance. You can find Lani in front of her computer writing away in her fictional characters world...that is until her husband and kids demand sustenance in the form of food and drink.
I love the freedom and creativity that LLV brings to her novels. She is quite entertaining at her craft. This installment was no exception as it was another great addition to the series.
Banger and Easton were a little unexpected. Easton had piqued my curiosity but his story wasn’t at all what I envisioned. A deeper look into his personality actually gave me some refreshing differences from the “typical hero”.
Banger was a great heroine. She was independent and sassy, playful, and she kept everyone on their toes. I enjoyed the development of the relationship as a unit and felt they were well matched, stalker tendencies aside.
The plot was a little OTT but that’s what makes these books so much fun! You never quite know what to expect. I am looking forward to continuing the series!
Complementary copy received and voluntarily reviewed.
Wow just wow. I wasn't expecting that to happen at all but it was fucking amazing!!! This series just keeps getting better and better as the books go on.
Banger Crest has not had a easy life. Bad things happened to her and brought her to the attention of a FBI agent that can’t get her out of his mind.
Keep it up, and you’ll be a strange smell in the backyard. -Banger to Easton
Easton McKennick has been stalking Banger for years but he’s to shy to do anything but watch over her. He left the Agency and started his own business after they did the unthinkable.
If you see me talking to myself, just move along. We’re having a team meeting. -Easton to Trouper
This story was so good and kind of a turnaround from what we usually get. Just keep getting better with each new adventure. I can never get enough of LLV.
Easton is a bada$$ but different in so many ways. Banger has learned from past experience that you can’t trust. Together they learn happiness.
“If you’re willing to date your stalker for real, that is.” Was I willing to date my stalker? Heck yeah, I was.
"Banger, I hate to break it to you, but you're hot AF. You make me nervous as hell."
An anonymous letter breaks the ice between Banger Crest and Easton McKennick. When Banger quits her job at her father's bar, not only does she make herself jobless, but she also makes herself homeless. Easton comes to her rescue by offering her a room at his barndomimium. Living in such close proximity escalates their attraction. Having a stalker in their midst brings a whole host of other problems!
"You do this...you open this door with me, and we walk through? I'm not going to let you go easily."
This was another fantastic read from this author. She keeps us on our toes with humour and sexiness, twists and turns, swoony heroes and spunky heroines. Banger was sassy, direct, and could totally handle herself. I want to be her when I grow up. I mean, she drives an eighteen wheeler truck, tends bar, and can punch like a boss! Come on! Easton was dreamy. A guy as built and gorgeous as him, who had such a squishy core, as well as being a total nerd? Yeah, dreamboat! I adored him! This series is just so good and easy to read. Can't wait for the next book.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finally Easton's book !!
It was a book I was looking forward to because we've known Easton for a while (when he was fresh out of school in Conjugal Visits, his brother's book) and I was really curious to see how he was going to be ... And I devoured his cute romance with Banger ! There was drama (I love the crazy ex trope xD Even if I have to admit I wish it had gone further ... I'm sadistic like that xD) but also cute moments ("Bang Bang " <3)
In short, another light romance perfect for the holidays =)
PS: I was wondering what the Gator Bait MC series will correspond to, I wonder if it will not concern the story of Hank in Florida ??
Banger and Easton were really perfect for each other. Both of them seemed to roll with the punches, but were there to support each other, even when they didn't really know each other. Of course Easton had a leg up there, I was glad that he confessed to Banger early on that he knew, liked more that Banger wasn't upset, but realized she didn't have to explain her horrible past, which made things easier for her. Easton's ex was a POS, glad that Banger was ready to protect and give Easton an out. But man that crazy was strong with the ex, it didn't bother me one bit what happened to her. The ending made me smile, loved seeing these 2 happy and living their lives.
The other woman drama took over the book. It was annoying.
But I liked how obsessed they both were.
The hero has been stalking her for years but never made a move. I didn't like that. Her dad and the heroine have a fight and she has to leave her apartment (she lives over her dad's bar). So hero says he has a spare room she can rent. That is his move.
Get Tragic is book 5 in the Battle Crows MC series and while you could read this as a stand alone, I don't recommend reading it before at least reading the first 4 books. There is a LOT to understand about Easton, and the books leading up to this provide that background. Honestly, it all kind of starts in a different series!
Banger is fantastic! She is quirky and tough. Her family is super dysfunctional and she was once sold into human trafficking by her own brother. Easton is perfect for her! He is a big nerd with a heart of gold. These two really just are perfect for each other. Both of them have complicated family relationships and a lot of baggage, but it just worked.
The main drama comes from a bat crap crazy ex. She is seriously unhinged. But, Banger and Easton aren't going to let her win!
POV: dual 1st Tears: no Trope: dysfunctional family, crazy ex, fake relationship Triggers: Series/Standalone: series Cliffhanger: HEA:
I'm getting so pissed. I wrote this review twice and it's not posted either time. At this point I'm about ready to throw fists at my technological devices!!..-_-
I fucking hate technology.
Banger and Easton are for sure an absolute favourite of mine. I've already read them three times. You know when you people are so fuckjng awkward in different ways it's hilarious but it also works like Peanut butter and jam. That is them.
Easton and his stalkerish shenanigans had me howling. He is so sweet and so awkward it truly is impossible not to love this man. Especially when you get to see him for more than just the fbi agent that switched sides. I lived for it. I lived for his awkward fumbling and crazy love for her. It is EVERYTHING.
Banger is sharp. One of those characters that you'll either love or hate because she doesn't fuck around and she isn't there to please. Her mouth can be lethal with her patience shorter than my pinky nail. But I loved her. I love that she knows what she wants, that she's hilariously witty and so damn dry and that despite the many obstacles lobed her way.. she continues to move forward. There is also something so special about the kind of character that you have to work for. It makes it all the more worth it when you see the softer vulnerability beneath the hard exterior.
Banger and Easton cracked me. They just had the wholesome crazy vibe that had me invested from the start but especially so when she moves her, her truck and her skunk in his damn house. It was a whole moment. They rooted for eachother and didn't take no prisoners. The chemistry is crazy and the connection honestly is fucking palpable. I could set them together in my mind like they weren't just two characters in a book.
As always with Lani, she brings epic characters, a tonne of crazy shenanigans and a whole lot of emotion. It's always a whirlwind of unexpected surprises all the whilst she teases us with what's to come. I'll never get bored of it. I laughed so damn hard at so much.
Now the wait for what's next.. I'm so excited. The world is a damn good one to be in.
Lani Lynn Vale has done it once again the author is such a amazing story teller I love everything she has written including this one . Get tragic is book five in the Battle Crows series it can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading them in order . Easton has made a couple of appearances in stories by the author he is the little brother of the hero Conjugal Visits which is one of my favorite books by LLV I loved reading more about him and just learning more of his story . Banger was awesome I really liked her no surprise the author really knows how to write her characters to were you really connect to them and the heroine just stole my heart loved the growth she went through . Always love seeing characters from previous books and also seeing characters that I can't wait for stories . If you are new to the author you are in for a treat you have so many books that you can binge and if you are a fan of the author this is already in your reading device so you obviously know that it's the bomb .
Easton is... SO HOT! A nerdy biker that is quite private, Easton has been stalking Banger forever. He's secretly in love with her. She's ignoring him, mostly, in the beginning of this story, but circumstances bring them together. This is THE BEST book! There's steamy scenes, action, such a good story line, and we get to visit with our Battle Crows family. There's some graphic scenes, so be ready for that. Can LLV write a bad book? I think not! I fell in love with Easton and you will, too! 5 stars!
I'd recommend this if you are looking for a book about what happens when a former FBI agent joins a motorcycle club to be near the truck-driver/bartender that he's been stalking for years decide to pretend they are dating.
Overall, I rate it 4⭐out of 5 which means I enjoyed this, had a great time reading it, and recommend it. I'm likely to read this again, especially if it is part of a favorite series, and am looking forward to reading more books by this author in the future.
What worked for me: • Easton looking after Bangor for years with the only intention of keeping her safe. • Bangor's acceptance of Easton's quiet, geeky personality hidden behind his tough exterior.
It was very meh. I discovered Lani Lynn Vale a couple years back. At first, I loved her writing. Spicy & Sarcasm. My favorite mix. Now, you can tell that her trying to get a book out every month or every other month has made her work suffer. This “Battle Crows MC” series is just not on the same level as her “KPD Generation 2.0”. It’s to a point that I think I need a break from her books. I’ll finish out the series, but I’ll be hoping Ms Vale will bring the drama & loving of her previous books.
****. This is added the next year, about 5,6 months later.
I reread this series & this is bugging me. In Tide & Coralline’s book, “Not A Role Model”, Easton is described as looking like “Uncle Jesse” from the sitcom Full House. John Stamos, “Uncle Jesse”, has the amazing looks of a Greek God, a dark Greek God. In his own book, Easton is described as having the look of a Viking, a blond Viking. On page 14 it says “He had blond hair that was shaved down the sides and a little bit longer on top, giving him a viking-esque appearance.” Hell, even dude on the cover has dark hair! Did no one see this? Or did they think we wouldn’t notice or care??
Banger has had one hell of a hard life, but she hasn't let it bring her down. She's quirky, she's strong and loving. Then Easton happens to her. He's a hot nerd, former FBI agent, and has his own company. She knows he and his MC are in the grey area of the law, but she doesn't care - he's too hot, too sweet to be ignored. Can the man with skills she never imagined (bedroom and otherwise) be the one she has forever with?
Easton's been fascinated by Banger since long before he officially met her. He may have been stalking her for years, but now that he's actually met her, he's even more into her. When she offers to be his fake date, it's as if he died and went to heaven. This is the shy guy's chance with the woman living in his mind. Now he just has to keep his stalker away from his new girl. Yep, the stalker has his own stalker. But his stalker is unwanted. Can this couple manage to find happiness with all the chaos in their lives?
I freaking love this series! Each couple has me falling in love with their out of the box selves, the delicious chemistry, the witty, snarky banter, and the suspense that weaves seamlessly throughout. Banger and Easton just may be my favorite couple yet. The bartender/truck driver Banger was my kind of heroine with her mouthy sass, her quirky ways, and how she put up with no kind of bs from anyone. Easton the shy nerd in the hot guy body, with serious skills, and his longtime fascination with Banger - how could I not fall in love with these two?! Now I'm all impatient waiting for Jeremiah and Gracelynn in Strange & Unusual.
Easton McKennick is completely infatuated with Banger Crest, she is brash, a go getter and the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. Banger has noticed Easton every time he comes into the bar she is with his MC but one moment she is talking to him the next she is moving into his house. Then Easton has to go to a the Police ball and his stalker will be there, Banger offers to be his date. One thing leads to another and Easton finds himself falling harder for Banger, who definitely has fallen for him. A determined stalker though is intent on tearing them apart, can they both put a stop to the stalker before too late?
The series keeps getting better, loved this couple. Banger pulled my interest in from the moment her character was introduced. Very curious about her sister Salem. Another wonderful addition and several new characters introduced.
Another hit from LLV and this series! Banger has had the absolute worst luck her entire life, and as an adult, things have not improved for her. Working as a trucker while also moonlighting at her father’s bar and writing anonymous letters telling people to do better, she has captured the attention of Easton, who has been enthralled with her for years from a distance, until circumstances change and he’s there to pick up the pieces. Finally standing up to her family, Banger finds herself out of a second job and homeless, and Easton welcomes her into his home with open arms. And when she finds out what Easton’s true occupation is in doing so, she falls for him a little more than she already was. The chemistry between these two was hilarious, and it was crazy that Banger was so oblivious and thankfully Easton is always there to save and protect her. I hated Banger’s family but loved that Easton’s family took her in and showed her what the word is meant to be. And I loved these two together as well. I can’t wait for the next installment – I can never get enough of LLV’s books! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Banger has overcome a difficult past and not only has she emerged stronger, but she is determined to forge her own path despite what others may think about her. She not only works as a truck driver but was working at her father’s bar until that ended abruptly but thankfully Easton, one of the patron’s, offers her a place to stay.
Easton is a former FBI agent who is now a member of the Battle Crows MC. He is aware of her past and ever since then he has kept an eye on her never expecting to be part of her life. He has attracted the attention of the wrong person and all it will take is her agreeing to go with him to a social event to show them that they belong together despite the person who is determined to keep them apart.
The banter between them is humorous and their chemistry intense as Banger finally finds people who are there for her rather than trying to tear her down while Easton finally claims the woman who has always owned his heart.
I feel like I just started reading about Easton and Banger, blinked and it was over😭 Ok, it just feels like I flew through this story so quickly but I enjoyed it so much, I just did not want to stop reading❣️I think I feel that way about most LLV books and then eagerly await the next one, “impatiently”😉
Easton used to be an FBI Agent but eventually left and joined the Battle Crows MC to keep an eye on Banger. Now years later, he’s finally getting the chance to get to know her, when she quits working at her father’s bar and moves in as his tenant. To make matters worse, Easton has his own stalker and asks Banger to attend a police event with him to let said stalker know, he’s not available - only for them both to realise they feel more for each other than originally thought❤️ But will that stop said stalker?
A great story that I received an advanced copy of and willingly leave my honest review. I’m eagerly awaiting Jeremiah’s story next🤩
Lani Lynn Vale is back with the next book in the infamous Battle Crows MC series and y'all I was here for every single word.. every single emotion. I have loved all book in this series and I swear they just keep getting better and better with each new release.
Get Tragic is the fifth standalone and y'all, Banger and Easton are here to steal a piece of your heart. I devoured their story in a few short hours and gahhh, I wanted to experience it all over again after it was over. Banger and Easton, they didn't disappoint for a single moment.
I can't wait for the next from Lani.. it's sure to be another hit.
Get Tragic is the 5th book in the Battle Crows MC series by Lani Lynn Vale. This is Banger Crest and Easton McKennick's story. Banger's past is super rough. She is finally supposed to be getting back on her feet when life knocks her for 6. Thank God for her brother and his sexy friends, like former FBI turned hot Battle Crows MC Easton. The chemistry between them is sizzling hawt!! But before he can make his moves, he has a stalker .. oh plus he's been secrectly stalking Banger for several years as well. Soo yea.. there's twists, turns, secrets, action, drama, danger, romance and an HEA that made this quite a spicy read. Looking forward to the next book.
This the the fifth book in the Battle Crows MC series. They are stand alones, but we did meet Easton in Souls Chapter Revenants series.
This is Easton and Banger's story.
What a stalker Easton is. But it wasn't bad stalking, don't worry. All the bad and crazy stalking went to a girl he went on three dates with. Now she was crazy.
Banger is awesome. Everything she's been through. Just wow! She's a survivor and strong as hell.
I love these two together.
"Keep it up, and you'll be a strange smell in my backyard."
"Being an adult is the dumbest thing I've ever done."
Ms. Vale does it again, what an awesome story in was so much fun we found ourselves laughing throughout the entire story.
The story drew you right in from the moment we start turning the pages, we were already laughing. Banger was a strong female character, we loved her right off the bat. We loved Banger's personality she was funny and compassionate, take no crap kind of girl feisty and had a wicked sense of humor, and although she had more than a few tough breaks she doesn't let her past control her future.
Easton was an awesome character as well, we loved the man's kindness, his mind, his sense of humor and the nerd in him, as Banger would say. The man is brilliant and smart, and not afraid to call himself Banger's stalker.
Banger and Easton had awesome chemistry and easiness between them that made you envious. Loved how she fit him and also fit in with his club. I loved how she sassed Trouper and challenged that man, those were some fun times.
Overall, we loved everything about the story, right down to its characters and the plot. If you could see Banger and Easton together you could see with your own eyes they were a match made in heaven and that trip to the sex shop was downright priceless! Grinning...
Easton found Banger when she was part of a case that he worked for the FBI... they didn't meet until later when Easton moved his world to be near Banger. Banger is a badass who doesn't take crap from anyone anymore. Because she has been through the ringer of life. Lani Lynn Vale doesn't shy away from troubled heroes and heroines. She does things her own way, and I love each and every one of her books because of it. The Battle Crows MC toe that line of 1%ers, but they do their bad for good. We don't get as much FaceTime with the MC during this book, but I didn't miss or need it because of the way the story plays out. We got insights into past series with Easton's connection to Trouper as well as teasers into the next MC series.
Banger and Easton was a wonderful read. The story was unique enough to keep me interested. Easton being a good man and not a womanizing asshole was a nice spin. The stalker woman wasn't so unusual for LLV but still different.
