New dad Istvahn Olenev has proposed to his baby’s mother Nefertiti “Tee” Robinson, but she’s turned him down. They are trying to make things work but she thinks Istvahn is too bossy, and that she can’t raise their eight month daughter. She’s too obsessed with taking care of herself and her daughter. Istvahn is a control freak and he wants the woman he loves to marry him, he needs to convince her everything will be alright. Tee is obsessed about keeping her baby safe at all time, she exhausted from lack of sleep. He plans a weekend for them to reconnect and express their feeling and get them back on track and hopefully he can convince her loves her and not only wants to marry because of their daughter. Tee wants a marriage based on love not just sex. This is the first book of Jamie Schmidt’s I’ve read. It’s good story and a stand-alone story, but I felt I came in the middle and I needed more background after the baby was eight months old possible from a previous book of how they got together and his previous proposal. I got this book in goodreads giveaway and I have to say I really enjoyed this book. The author can really tell a story. I enjoyed the sexy love interest between Tee who worked for Colleen at a BDSM club and her man who worked in security for Colleen, Istvahn is a Dom also who loves to play with subs. Good thing Tee is a sub and enjoys their playtime but things had been stressful with the birth of their daughter Ezina. They weren’t really in a relationship just playing around. This is a story of their relationship and how they handle being co-parents and how their relationship and all their friendships and family they have and have made at the club where they also live. It’s definitely steamy at times so get ready.

This is book 4 in Schmidt's The Club Inferno series. I may be a bit bias, but I love this series and I think this is a great addition although this can be read as a stand alone. Our main characters are Tee and Istvahn who are new parents. While it's been awhile since I've had my kids I can totally relate to some of the feelings, thoughts and doubts that arise in this read. I love, love, loved this read (and really every book in this series). Schmidt does an amazing job of writing a well balanced sweet, steamy romance with all the feels!

Nefertiti (Tee) is still suffering with baby brain looking after her eight month old daughter, Ezina. Ezina's father, Istvahn, wants to marry Tee, but she thinks it is because of their daughter. They both work at Couture/Club Inferno so Istvahn sees plenty of them. Can Istvahn give Tee the relationship she wants and help her to accept his dominance?

I enjoyed the relationship between Tee and Istvahn, and I loved the support they both received from the people at the club.

I really enjoyed this story. Tee did drive me a bit crazy at first as she is so paranoid over her baby, but then you learn of the reasons why and you can kind of understand better. Itsvahn is a total sweetheart and thoroughly a dom. The passion between these two is is sizzling, but there are some intriguing underlying events that really make you think and wonder. I can’t wait to read about Emma and Dante next.

When young parents meet passion…
Yeah, I remember that time ! Lol.
Principal focus is on the baby, second thought is on the baby and third grade of attention is - on the baby.
So sorry, but you have to fight for every single minute you can get out of a new mom, because there’s just no time left. And that’s what Istvahn does. Fighting for Tee. But he is sneaky enough to get what he wants. Or is he ? Read and see while I am waiting for Dante’s story.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book in the Club Inferno series is about Tee and Istvahn getting their shot at more than just parenthood. They have an infant daughter who ties them together. The feelings are there but they are on different pages. Tee is unsure whether to trust in Istvahn's proposal but he wants more than she thinks. This was an emotional, sweet yet steamy love story. These two really are great together.

I liked the story and what the author was trying to do but I just didn't develop an emotional connection. I definitely empathized with Tee as a new mom (though I wanted to shake some sense into her sometimes). Both she and Istvahn show some growth in terms of realizing they can't control everything and nor should they. There was at least one last minute twist thrown in that seemed superfluous. Finally, I would've liked more detail as to the ages of Tee and her siblings.

Loving how Istvahn and Tee work to get their connection back!
Every Mom will instantly relate to Tee’s experiences as a new Mom and will love how Istvahn and her work family help to get the old Tee back. There are plot twists at play with work and each of Tee and Istvahn’s families that will keep you turning the pages wondering if they will get even stronger or allow the pressures to destroy their new bond.

Although part of the Club Inferno series, this reads like a standalone. Tee thinks the only reason her Dom, Istvahn, wants to marry her is because they have a child. Tee is also suffering from obsessive new mom syndrome and isn't paying attention to her man and how he is a partner in this. The book is more romance than BDSM, and I was disappointed that Tee didn't trust what her Dom was saying to her. But overall, a good read.

Fantastic series, delightful, kinky, complex

Loved entire Club Inferno series. This well written series is hot, hot, funny, and full of complex, rounded characters you wish were real. What a fun place to work, live and play in. Jamie Schmidt truly put her talent into creating each storyline, person and twist and turn. Did not want it to end. Hurry and write faster.

It is a well written and fast to read story. This one is even better than the earlier ones in the Club Inferno Series. I just cannot wait for more.

3.5. This was the story I’ve been waiting for, although it was a little disappointing to see the capable Nefertiti be such a mess.

Passion is the first book by this author I've read. Although the 4th in the Club Inferno series, it stands alone, focusing on Tee's and Istvahn's - I love the unusual names - journey to a happy end. This is a story about misunderstandings due to lack of communication as well as one about events in the past still dominating one's present behaviour. There are steamy sexy times, but the power exchange elements are very low key. The book deals with some heavy subjects which are described in a very sympathetic way. The ending is a bit abrupt, but a happy one and since characters from the previous books make appearances in Passion, I look forward to seeing more of Tee and Istvahn in the future.
