I absolutely loved reading every single word in The County Village Winter Wedding. It’s the most beautiful page turning story I have read in a long time. I read it with a smile upon my face and in some part with watery eyes, that I needed a tissue.

Christmas is the most magical time of year, and what’s better than getting married at Christmas with the twinkling lights and the possibility of the white sparkling snow.

The Country Village Winter Wedding is a must buy, must read that’s a joyful feel good, festive novel, that glows in your heart with joyful characters.

The community in Little Bramble is a wonderful place, where after Hazel’s husband had been unfaithful to her, she moved to Little Bramble, from Edinburgh where she had her own business arranging weddings.

Hazel Campbell is a wedding planner now in Little Bramble. Hazel is like a magical fairy on a Christmas tree, who waves her wedding planning wand to come to Clare and Sam’s rescue. Hazel is now taking over planning of Clare and Sam’s Christmas wedding, as they were running out of time with their busy life style to arrange everything for their Christmas wedding for the 18th December.

With the village church closed, talented wedding planner Hazel in search for another location to give the bride and groom a wonderful Christmas wedding.

I really enjoyed reading all about Hazel’s life, she is sweet and very kind to everyone she meets. I prayed that Hazel would meet a nice man to make her happy again.

If I could make one Christmas wish it would be that The Country Village Winter Wedding would be made into a Christmas film, this is why I highly recommend reading this beautiful festive romance story.

It was truly lovely to be back in Little Bramble again and to be able to catch up with Clare and Sam, who are struggling to plan their wedding.

Thankfully Hazel our leading lady of this book has just moved to Little Bramble and is setting up as a Wedding Planner and attempts to come to the rescue. She is also sworn off men after discovering the truth about her fiancee the night before her own wedding, and isn't really sure where she can trust women either.

And as much as I enjoyed the focus on Hazel it was the alternating chapters where we get to know Josh in great detail that I couldn't get enough of.

I was hooked on seeing how his story would evolve, plus I loved the rest of his family especially Bobbie. They just seemed like a fabulous family to be a part of.

And Kyle, Clare's son is utterly fabulous too, I loved some of his one liners, his teasing banter and generally the energy he brought to any scene.

This is such a heat warming and cosy read, bringing with it the best elements of Christmas and Weddings into one compelling package of book. I loved it!

Thank you to Zaffre and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Well what a brilliant read such a warm book with great characters and such a lovely plot and full of starting life over again and happiness with romance to and plenty of learning to be yourself a great read from the first page.
Clare and Sam are getting married in their lovely village but they are so busy and have left everything to the last minute and are struggling to organise it. But Hazel has moved to the lovely village having run away from Scotland as she found her ex who she was due to marry the next day in bed with her best friend and she is trying to make a go of her wedding planning business and when she hears Clare she says she’s happy to help to organise their wedding. Can she get it all sorted in time and can she slowly start learning about herself and be happy again and will she find romance or will she loose it when her ex turns up wanting her again what will she do. Will the wedding all go to plan and can she find happiness again.

Clare and Sam are getting married and everyone in Little Bramble is excited for it. The only problem is they're busy people and have left everything to the last minute.

Hazel is a wedding planner, who has moved to the village from Edinburgh. She's nursing a broken heart after she caught her fiance and best friend together. Can she find her own true love while helping Clare and Sam?

Get yourself cosy with a hot drink and blanket and get lost in this story. This has all the Hallmark feels and I loved it.
I got so invested in the characters and what was happening with them. There's laughter, sadness, tears and happiness. It's a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. I've got to say Bobby and Penny are just the cutest girls and I think they may have been my favourite characters in the whole book.

Little Bramble is definitely a village I would love to be part of. All the people were just so loveable and I look forward to taking another journey there.

Another deliciously enjoyable tale from the pen of an author who knows how to keep her readers happy!

Hazel Campbell left Edinburgh when her best friend and business partner got a little too close to Hazel’s fiance – and on the cusp of their wedding day too! Leaving it all behind, Hazel sets out for a new start in the village of Little Bramble where, as luck would have it, she comes across Clare and Sam who are getting married but haven’t had time for the planning! It’s a match made in heaven when they all get together and Hazel is thrilled to get her new business up and running. With the whole village watching, she has to make a success of it!

What a fabulous story! It has everything we expect from a festive tale – and more! Wonderful characters, entwined threads and, best of all, a perfect setting. Little Bramble is the kind of place we would all love to live and Hazel’s fears of being lonely are soon abated. I adored – but wasn’t surprised by – the addition of a rescue dog; having followed this author under her many guises I know she is a great advocate for re-homing animals and her passion shines throughout all of her novels. This is a gorgeous read, absolutely perfect for the festive season and a fantastic addition to this series of stand-alone reads. Skilfully crafted and beautifully written, this will leave you full of seasonal goodwill! Highly recommended and easily worth all five glowing stars!

Hazel is a wedding planner and the owner of Country Charm Weddings. After discovering that her fiancée has been cheating on her with her maid of honour Hazel together with her cat Fleas Witherspoon move to the village of Little Bramble to start again and heal her broken heart. Little Bramble holds fond memories for Hazel as she spent her childhood holidays there and before she knows it she finds her first clients, Sam and Clare who ask her to organise their wedding. Jack has just arrived in Little Bramble to spend Christmas with his sister and her family. He is hoping to stay with his sister whilst deciding what he wants to do with his life which includes making some big changes. Can Hazel and Jack both mend their broken hearts?

My last visit to Little Bramble was in June when I read The Country Village Summer Fête and I was so sad to leave. I was ecstatic to learn that the author was writing another book and eagerly awaited the next instalment. This book did not disappoint. The story was cosy and heart-warming. There is just something about Little Bramble that is truly magical and inviting. I loved all the characters in this book. Both Hazel and Jack are strong characters despite what they have been through in the past. Hazel is such a determined person and wants to organise the perfect wedding for Sam and Clare. Despite Hazel’s previous experience it doesn’t jade her love for weddings and trying to organise memorable weddings for others. I was sold on Jack from the beginning especially when the description of him looking like Aiden Turner was mentioned. The chemistry between Hazel and Jack was so sweet and there was definitely a spark between them from the outset. The first time they saw each other and that first look between them was so adorable. It was the perfect meet cute. There were also some old faces from the previous book that made an appearance such as Connor and Emma. It was brilliant to catch up with them and see where they are now. Special mention has to be given to Jack’s niece Bobby who was so funny and had some brilliant comedic moments especially every time she said bloody.

A truly amazing read that I would highly recommend!

A quaint little Christmas romance given to me by one of my lovely friends. The country village winter wedding was exactly what I needed to snuggle up with over the festive period!
Hazel, a wedding planner from Edinburgh decides to make a big move and venture down to little brambles to start her own business. After catching her fiancé with her best friend the night before her wedding she needed to clear her head and get a fresh start. Little Brambles - the perfect name for the sweetest little village that reminded me of Stars Hollow through and through, gave us warmth, community, a winter wedding and the dreamiest love interest, Jack. Who doesn’t love a rom com at Christmas?

Loved this book from start to finish. Hazel Campbell is a character that you root for and engage with from the start, and it's an 'easy read' which really means it's expertly written in such a way that it's like you are watching it unfold before your eyes and you can't and don't want to look away. Perfect for this time of year and sure to perk a reader up and give them a nice fuzzy feeling.

3.5 stars. I did like this but Allotment is still the strongest of the series in my opinion. This did lose half a star because of the main character doing something really stupid about 75% into the book. I just think it could have been done in a better way personally. Overall though I really do like this little village and the community spirit.

It’s always a pleasure to be back in Little Bramble, especially when there is a wedding to attend!

Clare and Sam are getting married but being busy people they enlist village newcomer Hazel as their wedding planner. Hazel has been unlucky in love and decides Little Bramble is the place for new beginnings to mend her broken heart.

The Country Village Winter Wedding is the third book in the Little Bramble series but can easily be read as a standalone. Cathy Lake’s writing is wonderful and narrator Julie Teal on the audiobook really brings the story to life.

With heartwarming characters, set in a beautiful village during the most magical time of the year. It was an absolute joy to take a trip back to Little Bramble. A cosy read that will have you laughing out loud and leave you smiling.

This was a cosy christmas read, and not really my usual genre. I think the book had some pacing issues and you could see the direction it was going in very early in the book. Having said that it was a nice seasonal heartwarming story.

As I said above, I really enjoyed visiting Little Bramble in the summer so I couldn't wait to return again in winter. One of the many great things about series like this is that you get to meet your favourite characters again, I loved seeing how Emma and Connor were getting on, as well as Harmony!

The second, well third thing to jump out at me was the names of Sam and Clare, back in June I married a Wilson myself so it felt a bit like a kindred spirit and I felt linked to them immediately (1 and 2 were the title and the cover).

Even though the book is focused around Sam and Clare's upcoming wedding, we learn more about Hazel and Jack, both suffering with broken hearts but ready for a fresh start. Hazel is lovely and I loved exploring the village with her, getting to see the different shops and aspects of the community, it was nice to be able to rebuild that image in my mind. I also love that her cat is called Fleas Witherspoon... I mean come on **. Jack is coming to terms with the loss of his wife but there is also something else there that we don't discover for a while which I have to say, kept me on my toes throughout wondering what it was as there are little hints.

Jack is staying with his sister's family, Bella, Lee and their two daughters Bobby and Penny who just couldn't be a nicer unit and welcome him in with open arms, warm fires and fresh coffee. When Bella bumps into Hazel at the green one morning it is the start of a beautiful friendship and you can see that they hit it off instantly. Plus you can't help but notice the looks between Jack and Hazel... is there something simmering there?!

I loved the run up to Christmas in this book, it was a really realistic timeframe as well, spending time at the Christmas market, going ice skating and decorating the tree, all activities that I enjoy. There was a true sense of magic throughout this book and I really wanted a happy ending for both Hazel and Jack, and Clare and Sam of course but I was definitely more invested in the former.

The wedding itself sounded so idyllic and I really liked the way that the community rallied round to make sure everything went ahead smoothly. If only I could be whisked away to Little Bramble for a cosy winter weekend, this book has left me wanting snow, eggnog, mulled wine and days wandering around a Christmas market looking at all the little trinkets!

Thanks to Bonnier Books for the advanced copy of this title in return for an honest review.

Oh this is such a wonderful book. It is festive from the get-go, which is always a plus point for me. I don’t like a book that markets itself as Christmassy, but then doesn’t show any festiveness until halfway through. Give me jingle bells straight away and you’re onto a winner. It is warming and comforting but not sickly. But it doesn’t shy away from the hardships in life such as relationship breakups, grief, and loneliness,

I really liked the main characters of Hazel and Jack and felt they really worked well together. The cast of secondary characters like Bella, Lee, Nobby, Penny, Kyle, Clare and Sam also provided enough erecting background action of their own, but also helped the main plot points seemlessly along. It never dips in pace and is quite easy to get lost in and read in a day.

I have always dreamt of a wintery Christmas wedding, and Cathy describes it so perfectly she may as well have climbed into my brain and written down my perfect day. One day I hope this will happen, and I’ll definitely be using this as a blueprint.

Christmas has always been my favourite time of year, but after losing my dad nearly 4 years ago 10 days before Christmas, the festivities have never been 100% the same, but that’s okay, it’s about learning how to live with it and enjoying this new future you have. As Cathy describes it:

“You have to come through the darkness before you can appreciate the light.”

Cathy Lake’s The Country Village Winter Wedding is an entertaining, enjoyable and engrossing tale brimming with humour, charm, warmth and plenty of heart.

The village of Little Bramble can barely contain its excitement – Clare Greene and Sam Wilson are about to get married and their wedding promises to be the event of the year. Everybody in the village simply cannot wait to put on their glad rags and watch the beautiful couple get married. However, Clare and Sam are busy people who seem to have underestimated just how much hard work and planning weddings require. With everything left to the very last minute, it doesn’t look like Clare and Sam’s dream wedding will take place any time soon – until Little Bramble newcomer Hazel Campbell steps in at the eleventh hour and saves the day!

The wedding planner has just moved to the village from Edinburgh. Hazel had thought that her life was as close to perfect as it was possible to get. She had it all from a successful career to a thriving business and a gorgeous fiancé – until she caught her bridegroom-to-be in bed with her best friend! Distraught, devastated and upset, Hazel had been left with no other choice but to pack her bags and leave her old life behind and move to Little Bramble.

The gorgeous village seemed like the perfect place to start over and with a wedding to organise, Hazel thinks that she has found the perfect distraction. Throwing herself body and soul into organising this wedding leaves her with little time to worry about her own problems. However, Hazel soon realises that in Little Bramble, she might just end up finding the happiness that she had long given up on – providing that she lets go of the past and embraces this unexpected second chance.

Cathy Lake’s The Country Village Winter Wedding is cosy festive reading at its best! Witty, warm-hearted, emotional and full of delightful characters it is impossible not to care about, The Country Village Winter Wedding is a superb tale of second chances, renewal, new beginnings and falling in love that charms and delights and is sure to have readers eagerly anticipating their next visit to Little Bramble.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It's been so lovely to return to Little Bramble in this story of a sparkly winter wedding. I've quite fallen in love with this quintessential English village where everyone seems so supportive of each other and for Hazel Campbell starting over in a safe place is just what is needed to mend her broken heart. Newly arrived from Scotland, Hazel is keen to get her fledgling wedding planning business off to a good start and what better way than to help villagers Clare Greene and Sam Wilson have their perfect Christmas wedding.

As always the village, and its inhabitants, come beautifully to life and by cleverly intertwining a couple of story threads we get to learn more not just about Hazel, and the joys and pitfalls of organising a last minute winter wedding, but also about another new arrival whose reasons for being in the village are just as poignant as Hazel's. The run up to Christmas is done really well and both the chaos, and the joy, of meeting deadlines, and getting involved in all the Christmas activities, is what makes this story so special.

The Country Village Winter Wedding is now the third book in the Country Village series of cosy romances and each one brings something quite special. I enjoy how the villagers we have grown to love make little appearances in each novel and whilst the main focus of the story is on someone new to the village, it's really great to catch up with those characters we have met before in previous novels.

Beautifully written, and charmingly romantic, there is no doubt that this cosy series has captured the hearts of its readers. I am certainly looking forward to reading book #4, The Country Village Allotment, which is planned for 2022

3.5 stars as cant do half stars on here.
It probably didn't help i read the 3rd book without reading the other 2........

This was a lovely story. I enjoyed reading it. It wasn't overly Christmasy as the main focus of the Story was a winter wedding. The book had a great sense of community as friends and family come together to sort the wedding. The story made me smile it just wasn't good enough for a higher rating. It didn't always graphic my full attention. I was really into the story at the start, but as it went on, it just didn't keep it. I was slightly disappointed, but I was still glad that I had read it. It had nice enough characters and flowed well enough. I think I just needed a bit more excitement and atmosphere.
Many thanks for creating a nice story that I am sure others will enjoy.

Clare Greene and Sam Wilson are getting married, and everyone in Little Bramble is excited for the event of the year. But Clare and Sam are busy people and have left organising their wedding to the last minute.

With thanks to netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review which I freely give.

I have read Cathy Lake before and really enjoyed her work. It was lovely to be back in Little Bramble for Christmas and a wedding. Double delight. I loved the snowflakes on the pages at the beginning of new chapters and to break up a chapter. This book is a dual story. The 2 main characters are Hazel & Jack. Both have broken hearts. They both come to the village for a new start. Hazel returns to village where she had a holiday here with her parents as a child. She was a wedding planner and was due to get married. The day before she was due to marry she arrived home early only to find her Fiancé with her business partner. Broken hearted she leaves her home in Scotland to make a new life for herself and Fleas, her faithful cat. Jack having lost his wife in a car crash goes to stay with his 'Big' sister and family for a few weeks for Christmas. Apart from his wife being killed Jack also finds out that his wife had kept a secret from him.

It is not long before Hazel is organizing her first wedding in the village. We gradually meet many of the residents, including Bella, Lee and children along with Jack. Clare and Sam are the couple getting married, I will not expand anymore as I do not wabt to spoil it. Clares family are funny.

I really enjoyed this read. If you have read Cathys Christmas show book and enjoyed it, you will love this. I can fully recommend this book and have no hesitation in the 5* rating.

THE COUNTRY VILLAGE WINTER WEDDING by CATHY LAKE.

With thanks to #Netgalley and #BonnierBooksUK for an ARC of #TheCountryVillageWinterWedding by #CathyLake.

This is book 3 in Cathy Lake’s Country Village series. It follows on from, The Country Village Christmas Show and The Country Village Summer Fete.
Although they can all be read as stand alone stories, they are best enjoyed as a series.

Clare and Sam are trying to arrange their wedding, but they are both busy and have left everything to the last minute. As luck would have it, the village has a new resident, Hazel, who is a wedding planner, steps in to help.
Hazel has arrived in Little Bramble to escape her own heartbreak and to make a new life for herself.
Will Clare and Sam get their perfect wedding day, and will Hazel find a second chance at love and happiness?

It was wonderful to take another trip to Little Bramble, to catch up with old characters and get to know new ones.

Through this whole series, Cathy Lake has created a warm and welcoming setting in Little Bramble. With likeable characters who are easy to take to and care about.

The Country Village Winter Wedding is an easy, feel good read. It will leave you full of warm and fuzzies.
As we say in Wales, this is a cwtch (cuddle) in a book.

Next year we get part 4 of this charming series. Until then, enjoy the heartwarming tale that is, The Country Village Winter wedding.

Hazel Campbell is a wedding planner with a broken heart. Right before her wedding she found her soon-to-be-husband in bed with her best friend and business partner, so she decides to leave everything behind and start again in Little Bramble. With a new house and a new company, all she needs are clients. Everyone in Little Bramble is excited for the wedding of Clare and Sam and thanks to her charm and some brilliant ideas Hazel is hired to organize a winter wedding right before Christmas. Busy with the planning and still bruised by her past experience, romance and love are the last things Hazel is thinking about until she meets Jack who, like Hazel, is in Little Bramble for a new start. Will they find happiness together?

There are lots of things to love in this festive and romantic novel: engaging and likable characters, a beautiful setting, a winter wedding with lots of snow, a close-knit community feeling that comes out from every page, and a heartwarming and emotional story that kept me completely engrossed. I read The Country Village Winter Wedding in one day, captured by the author’s writing style and by the fantastic characters she created. Each character is relatable and authentic and I enjoyed their stories. Full of romance, friendship, and wedding planning, The Country Village Winter Wedding is the perfect story to get you in a Christmas mood!

When you have a bad experience in life, the best way to be happy is to start fresh again, don’t you think?
This is the story of Hazel Campbell, a wedding planner that has just moved to Little Bramble after she finds her fiancé with her best friend. Now, she doesn’t want to think more about them, just to make her new business to work in this small beautiful village. So, when she meets the lovely couple Clare and Sam, she can’t wait to organize a beautiful Christmas wedding for them!
This is a beautiful and sweet story; it has romance, full of it, but also friendship and family. A sweet remember that you don’t need a perfect life, only to be happy and surrounded by people who love you.
I read this book in just one sit, it was so easy to get lost in the story and fall in love with the characters! There’s love everywhere, sweet moments and beautiful dreams.
This is a book I would recommend to lift up your mood, put a smile on your face and make you remember that there are good people in the world! A beautiful read for this Christmas.

The Country Village Winter Wedding by Cathy Lake

I received an advance review copy for free thanks to NetGalley and Bonnier Books UK and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Clare Greene and Sam Wilson are getting married and everyone in Little Bramble is excited for the event of the year. But Clare and Sam are busy people and have left organising their wedding to the last minute.

Luckily, wedding planner Hazel Campbell has recently moved to the village. She had what she thought was a wonderful life in Edinburgh with a successful business, a loving fiance and her own wedding coming up. But when she caught her groom-to-be in bed with her best friend she fled, leaving everyone and everything behind.

I have enjoyed my previous two visits to Little Bramble and this was just as I expected - a delightful read. Whilst part of a series, these books can each be read as a standalone. I thought that this was just a lovely, page-turning read, that will leave you with a smile on your face.

A heart-warming festive read that brings together the joys of Christmas and weddings. If you haven't read any of this series so far then I would highly recommend that you start.

I'm not usually one for Christmas stories, I'm a bit bah humbug about the whole thing, but I loved The Country Village Summer Fete earlier this year, so I thought I'd give this book a go. I must be mellowing in my old age!

This is the third in the series, but it can be read as a standalone, but there are cameos from characters from the previous books to get the most out of this series.

I absolutely loved the pairing of Hazel and Jack. Both are carrying hurt from their past, Hazel from a cheat of a fiance and Jack from the death of his wife. It was sweet to watch their romance grow.

I have to say I have a bit of a soft spot for Jack. He cooks, cleans and is good with children, not to mention the fact he gave up his dreams to support his wife. He seems like the ideal man!

What I liked about this story, compared to the previous book, is there were a few more funny moments and there were a few scenes that made me snort with laughter.

The Country Village Winter Wedding is a sweet, Christmassy read that is the perfect blend of romance and feel good festive fun.

I received this book in a mystery box which I ordered online. And I would like to share a genuine review.
The story is a typical one, which we have heard many times in different forms. Only some settings and names changed.
No surprise elements.
Language is very simple and comprehensive. But other than that I felt it's over descriptive in initial pages and coming to middle it's more like straight to point.
I started skipping through pages, as I felt I can understand the story by reading conversations only.
Opening lines were excellent but as story unfolds.... I am not fully satisfied with the content.
One more good editing need to be done in book to high light some events, giving more punch to some conversations adding drama to expressions and cutting off some parts which I felt unnecessary.

But, for beginners who wish to read books and to those who love simple kind of stuff this book is ideal.😊.

The country village winter wedding is a real festive feel good read, set in a lovely village location of Little Bramble a welcoming friendly community that open their hearts and homes to any newcomers which is what both Hazel snd Jack need!
Hazel has relocated here along with her wedding planning business and her lovable cat after her fiancée cheated on her, Jack recently widowed has come to stay with his sister Bella and her family for the festive period, both are damaged, vulnerable and still smarting from their previous lives but with time, help from Santa, friendly locals and a bit of romance in the air they are given a second chance at love in the most idyllic way surrounded by festive cheer, seasonal snowfall and family.
Brilliant characters both old and new, a winter wonderland of a wedding, and the chance of finding love again!
Thank you netgalley for this early read.

I loved going back to Little Bramble and seeing what everyone was up to since the last book. This is the story about Clare and Sam and their big wedding day. Hazel has not long since moved to the village and she is going to help them organise the wedding as she is a wedding planner. But why did Hazel leave Edinburgh and is this little village the best place to forget about what happened before? Can Hazel find her happiness here in Little Bramble? and how will the wedding of the century go down. I loved reading about what the characters of Little Bramble were up to, seeing old faces and meeting new faces, it is such a warm and uplifting read that is a perfect pick me up. I would love to go to Little Bramble, Cathy writes so that the place sounds so inviting and scenic. I look forward to the next installment in this series. They have all been so great so far.

This was a lovely read. Hazel and Jack have been through so much yet they still manage to keep their hearts open to new love, even when they think they’re not looking for it. I loved how each characters back story slowly unfolded as they became more entwined with the people of Little Bramble and the fresh start they both needed. I loved seeing past characters and seeing them getting their happy ever after, and I loved Kyle, I think he has stiff competition with Bobby, as she gets older she’s going to be a force! 😂😂
I can’t wait to see what comes next in Little Bramble, this was a wonderfully festive winter read.

I was really into the story at the start but as it went on it just didn't keep it I was slightly disappointed but I was still glad that I read it. It had nice enough characters and flowed well enough. I think I just needed a bit more excitement and atmosphere.
Many thanks for creating a nice story that I am sure others will enjoy.
