Never run from your enemies. Always stand your ground.
That’s what Patrick always told me. Yet I am through with being a doormat. I’m no longer a helpless dud—a lycan who can’t shift. Now I’m a pack queen, a powerful female who can hold her own.
After all, I’m going to need my strength if I hope to compete in this year’s games.
Every year, the elders hold a tournament to determine the strongest among us. All those angry, vicious wolves... It’s enough to make any former dud soil her pants.
But I got this. My enemies won’t know what hit them when my wolf bares her pretty white fangs.
Unfortunately, scary wolf dudes and chicks aren’t the only things I have to worry about. I have three devoted mates too, and they’re all so different.
One of them rejected me after all, and now I have to team up with him in the hopes of winning a tournament? Could things get any worse?
Oh, they could. War is looming. Any day now, humans and shifters will collide in an epic battle for world dominance.
And it’s up to me to save us all...
This is a medium-burn upper young adult/new adult shifter romance with a heroine with multiple love interests. Suitable for ages 16 and up. There is swearing and scenes of a mature nature.
Violet Fox is a lover of foxes and the colour purple...
When she's not writing about werewolves, vampires, and faeries, she can be found watching cute fox videos online, or drinking a ridiculous amount of tea and cof
The second book in the Gift of the Wolf series, Wolf Damned, picks up where Wolf Blessed left off. The humans have attacked the Northern pack in an attempt to save Raven. There are many causalities on both sides. The packs are heading to the global gathering where the Elders will decide Raven’s fate. Ylfa must find a way to befriend Raven and bring peace. With the help of her mates, she is able to speak with Raven and begins to form a bond with her. In the end, the cliffhanger leaves us with many questions - did Ylfa do enough to bring peace or is there still a war brewing?
The spice level is kicked up a notch this book. Ylfa solidifies the bond with Hunter. Hunter’s character development was so good. (Definitely fell harder for him this time around!) Patrick continues to develop more alpha male tendencies, but it works for him because he’s still so sweet and so in love with Ylfa. The biggest character development comes from Brent who surprises us all by saving human children. I don’t think he’s a bad guy. I think he just struggles with doing what he feels is right versus what he is supposed to do because of his Beta status.
Overall - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I absolutely loved this! I honestly feel that this book’s writing is stronger than the first in the series. I cannot wait to see where this story goes - can peace truly be achieved between humans and wolves?
We get more of Ylfa and her mates in Wolf Damned, starting off shortly after Wolf Blessed left off.
Ylfa’s pack is on their way to a pack fortress after the human attack on their lands. They suffered a big loss, but came out the other side. Ylfa is slowly starting to find out where she stands in the eyes of her pack.
During their time at the fortress, she meets the seven other major packs. They compete in a tournament. This makes me think of the Hunger Games, which I guess is a good comparison. They have to compete against other packs and then against each other, testing teamwork, endurance, and strength. I think this tournament is a good addition to the storyline and helps with character development and brings out new friends and enemies alike.
Ylfa has a job to do throughout the book, given to her in the first one. Will she accomplish that goal with Raven? And does Brent get his head out of his rear and accept the mate bond?
I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to seeing where Ylfa goes in the next book!
Blurb: Never run from your enemies. Always stand your ground, even if you lose…

I having been chomping at the bit to get book 2 in this series and it was everything I could have hoped for…. I mean lets be real it was better than book 1 and that is saying something because book one blew my freaking mind. Ylfa is everything I freaking love her and she is one he!! Of a bada$$. Hunter, Patrick and Brent oh how I love them…. Well I am still warming up to Brent he still makes me want to throat punch him but he’s getting there. I love this author’s writing style and how I feel like I am emersed in their world and at the games right along with everyone else. I am seriously looking forward to the next book and seeing what is going to happen next.
Ylfa and her Mates Patrick (Paddy) and Hunter and their pack are off to the Wolf Games., were the wolfs around the world come together and compete in events to see which Pack is the strongest. They take their whole pack with because of the attack that the humans waged on them at the end of book 1. Raven ( the human) is being held captive for leverage against the humans and the war. As Ylfa and her pack team fight and compete against the other pack teams...it's a awesome second book!! There isn't much of a cliffhanger..but the ending does leave you wanting more!! I can't wait for book three! Really enjoying this series 😊
I’m so happy to have received this ARC and be back with Ylfa, Patrick, Hunter and Brent. I loved the first book but this is even BETTER!! As I was reading it, I didn’t want it to end. Ylfa is a badass shifter, and I want to be part of her pack. Attending the Games was both exciting and exhilarating, and Violet had me right in the middle of it all, competing and fighting among them. I’m already waiting with bated breath for book 3......a must read for anyone, whether you’re into fated mates, RH, paranormal romance. This book rocks!!
Wolf Damned is the second book in this amazing shifter series.
In this book Ylfa and her mates have to compete in a tournament with other packs. Ylfa is also busy trying to fulfill her part in a prophecy by gaining the trust of their human prisoner, Raven. I loved the storyline in this book and how the packs competed in the tournament. I was glad that Ylfa seems to be gaining more friends now that she no longer is a dud. And Ylfa gets more sexy time with her mates.
Anyone who loves wolf shifter books with fated mates and rejected mates should check out this series.
Violet delivered in this book and blew my mind, she surpassed book 1 and this had me gripped.
Ylfa really comes into her own and becomes one hell of a badass! I love the growth in her relationships with Hunter, Patrick and Brent although Brent still has a way to go.
Violets writing style is calls to me and pulls me into this magical world she created. I felt like I was one of the pack participating in the games, I felt what they felt.
I can't wait for the next book in this series and to be able to we their bonds grow as much as they do.
Wolf Damned is the second book in the Gift of a Wolf series and it begins straight after the cliffhanger in the previous book.
This book gave me some serious Hunger Game vibes but with shifters and I honestly loved it. I enjoyed watching the relationship between Ylfa, Patrick and Hunter continue to grow. I absolutely love Brent even though he is a gigantic dick sometimes.
So many things happened in this book that literally left me speechless. I can’t wait to see what happens next especially after that ending.
I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review. This book has it all- Fighting ✔️ Team Games ✔️ Reverse Harem ✔️ Lover's Angst ✔️ I'm telling you what more could you want from a book. In this book we see Ylfa take her title as Queen and see her enjoy what the queen's enjoy, and that includes a party. Where she meets the other queen's. Also the tournament starts and Ylfa and her harem ensure that they all work as a team.
Once again Violet Fox has outdone herself, this second book in the series is outstanding and I for one am looking forward to the next installment 😍 😍 😍
Wolf Damned the second book in the series by Violet Fox and wow do I love it! This series once again grabs your attention with Ylfa our FMC and her mates Paddy, Hunter and… Brent? Ylfa grows from strength to strength and her bonds grow with her mates despite the trials and tribulations that are going on around them! Absolutely love the world building in this book it flips the norms of shifter books with what would happen if there were more shifters than humans and what if the instincts of the wolf outgrew the instincts to just do the right thing morally and it’s just such a great read!
If your looking for a fully fledged sort of a dystopian paranormal world kind of read this is your series! Soooo much detail! You can’t miss a paragraph. It all leads to something bigger. There was a few times I had to re read a section to truly understand what was happening but I held on to the end. Things are starting to tie together…. I rated it a 4 star simply because sometimes the details didn’t flow very well into understanding it right away. Otherwise great book!
Amazing book, amazing second installment that picks up where book 1 left off. Ylva is no longer a dud. It is an exciting time being at an annual competition. Tha action, drama, shifters, yummmm! I couldn't put it down, would recommend this book to all, 1 click now and prepare to be entertained. Ms. Fox does not disappoint. I was engrossed by this story and you will be too! I can't wait for the next installment!
This is the second book in this series, Fox has done it again this one grabs your attention and keeps you glued to your seat for the entire book. The FMC Ylfa finally has everything she wants but she finds that being top wolf puts a target on her. Each character reveals and grows in the second installment. Ylfa fulfills part of her prophecy and that’s where this book ends. I’m excited to read the final book and hopefully everyone will get a HEA.
This is a well written with unbelievable characters. The author grabs you, makes you feel like you are part of the story and doesn’t let go. This a continuation of book 1. They are headed to a global gathering. Yolf, a wolf, is trying to do good against the humans but with all the conflict it is a battle. This is a good read. Looking forward to next book.
Ylfa is definitely finding out what she's made of as the trials in her life continue. Along with Patrick, Hunter, and .. Brent..? The pack has traveled to compete in a series of games meant to establish the best packs. Ylfa and other members are picked to represent their pack.. who will come out on top? And will Ylfa be able to fulfill the prophecy? A delightful story.. and must read series.
The second book in this series is even better than the first! I'm so glad I continued on with this one, because it is fantastic! While it answered many questions from the first one, it also created more intriguing questions for the next one as well! I loved it, and I can't wait for the third in the series!
This is such a great series!! Ylfa, Patrick, Hunter, and even Brent are back. They are going to the World Gathering of Wolves. They are trying to show how good their pack is. New bonds will be formed between mates and old bullies.
I received an Advance Reader Copy for an honest review.
This starts off where book 1 leaves off. Ylfa is on her way to meet up with other packs after the attack by humans. She is starting to see where she belongs. Does Brent finally accept the bond. Will Ylfa befriend Raven? I can not wait for to see what is on store for her and her mates.
Love the building story of Ylfa and her guys. She's a really good fmc and Violet is building such an interesting world. Looking forward to seeing the relationships build more and for the guys to really embrace her as their mate. Excited for the next book.
Enjoying the ongoing adventures of the main character. Bit annoyed about the inconsistency of hair colour of Raven in this second book and between books 1 & 2 - brunette and black are not the same colour! Other than that well written. On to book 3.
We kick off following Ylfa's story from book 1. Patrick the book nerd really flourish in this book. Hunter opens up about his past but I feel he was pushed away more at the start of this book compared to the end of book 1. Ylfa is accepted by all members of the pack. She is now dubbed a queen in her pack, which Natasha hates. It kinda goes to her head a bit too. Brent is still struggling with the bond, though he doesn't openly reject her anymore he still won't be part of their group. This book heats up a little more and the action of the summit meeting and challenges gets exciting! Without giving away spoilers Raven is set loose and there's another human on wolf fight but you need to read it to know more!
Also I get a GOT fan vibe from Violet with a few lines thrown in! Did anyone else see that? No just me? Oh well Winter is coming!
Ooh I was so happy to see more of Ylva, Patrick, Hunter and even Brent. The feel of this book was a little different because the pack was reeling from the attack in book one and spent most of this one at the world gathering of wolves. Seeing Ylva, Patrick and even Hunter get some of the recognition they truly deserve was wonderful. As well as seeing how a few of the side characters were able to mature and all work together in and out of the trials. While Ylva is still the main focus, Patrick and Hunter working on building their relationship was endearing AF and I’m so so glad Brent finally woke up. 😍 While definitely hanging on the edge of the cliff we’re left on, I’m feeling so hopeful for Ylva, her mates, the wolves, Raven and the humans.

Ylfa, Patrick and Hunter are back as well as the rest of the pack. They finally get recognition and grow as a unite. They were the only ones to grow and develop through this book some of the other characters in the book we get a better look at two. Brent even started to come around lol I like the fact that it picked up right where the last one left off so there was no question on what it happened since. Of course we have a another cliffhanger ending lol
