I know when I pick up a Mandy Magro book that I am going to be entertained well and truly, with fabulous outback settings, heroes who are to die for and heroines who are strong and capable and are the perfect match for their hero, and this one was no different a trip back to Rosalee Station and this time we meet Zia Wellstone and city chef Melody Harrison who arrives with secrets and doing her best to find herself, when she meets handsome stockman, Zia, I hope you come and join them for their journey to a HEA to remember.

Melody is heartbroken at the loss of her mother but when before she leaves this world she tells her a secret that has been kept for years and with her heart broken for a couple of reasons Melody takes herself off to the outback to find some answers and discover Rosalee Station a place where she feels comfortable and at peace. She also meets handsome stockman Zia and he does things to her heart, things that have never happened before but she carries a secret.

Zia Wellstone is a country man through and through even if it is not what his family want of him but the outback is in his blood and he has many friends and loves his job as stockman at Rosalee Station, so when beautiful city girl Melody arrives and she takes on the role of camp cook for a while he feels his heart growing for this beautiful caring woman but is she holding something back?

Zia and Melody are growing closer by the day not only have they become friends the spark between them is igniting so fast, but true love never runs smoothly and Melody needs to open up about her secrets and this causes pain and hurt, but at Rosalee Station family support and love is there for them both and after an accident they find their way to love and happiness. This is one that I would highly recommend for anyone who loves a good rural romance.

My thanks to Harlequin AU for my copy to read and review.

I am not a romance fan (so take the rating with that bias in mind), and I usually love Magro's books, so this was a little disappointing.

Sweet, endearing, beautifully written, but a tad sentimental, sappy and predictable.

A great Aussie author who I will continue to read!

Thank you Harlequin for sending us a copy to read and review.
Rural romance royalty Mandy Magro consistently produces a story that’s guaranteed to fill your heart with love and happiness.
Melody Harrison discovers a secret when her beloved mother passes away.
Embarking on a road trip to the outback to search for the property Rosalee Station.
Once arrived she greets owners, Matt and Sarah Walsh with news that comes as a shock.
Zai Wellstone is the new head Stockman at the farm, finally freeing himself from the demands and prejudice of his wealthy family.
Soon a spark ignites between Melody and Zai but issues remain in the way of love.
Road To Rosalee is a very agreeable book that incorporates many elements to give the reader hours of entertainment.
This is the third book in the ‘Rosalee’ series and while Matt and Sarah Walsh return there’s more of an emphasis on a new romance with some new cast members.
Mandy’s heart and soul writing, memorable characters, seasonal landscape and charming plot make this story another standout in her large catalogue of country tales.
A long standing fan of Mandy’s work and firmly on my must read list, I ardently await the author’s two releases a year.
A slow burn romance that has a gentle pathway to happiness not without the problems and issues that are thrown at the leads throughout the story.
An unmissable love story.

Melody's life is in turmoil and she is exhausted. Melody's marriage is falling apart, her husband has cheated on her and the stress of working together in their upmarket city cafe is making life very difficult for them. Add to this, Melody's mum Lucy is dying and she doesn't have much time left. Just before Lucy passes, she tells Melody the true identity of her father, someone Melody has never known.

After the passing of her mum, Melody decides to find her father and travels to a station in outback Queensland. She meets her father Matt, his wife and son. After the initial shock they embrace the news that Melody is Matt's daughter and take her under their wing. The timing is perfect as they need a station cook and Melody, being a chef, takes on the role; she needs time away from the city to sort out her life and to make some big decisions, particularly about her marriage and business.

It is during her stay that romance blossoms but naturally there are many speed bumps along the way.

Mandy Magro is a prolific writer of rural romance. Road to Rosalee is the third book in the series but also reads well as a stand alone book. This was an enjoyable read, a very believable story and the characters were all endearing. I will happily recommend this book to lovers of rural romance.

Thank you to Beauty & Lace Book Club and Harlequin Enterprises for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Once again Mandy has taken back on a journey to Rosalee Station.

Melody has a chance to change her life once she finds her family. Zai wants his family to respect his choices. Now Melody and Zai are taking a chance on their lives at Rosalee Station.

Mandy's way of touching our emotions through the story and characters make you want the story to keep going.

I new when I picked up Mandy Magro's lastest book in the Rosalee Station series I knew I wouldn't be disapointed as I wasn't. Melody Harrison grew up in Sydney runs a cafe with her mother in law as she is part owner, she and her husband Antonio are temporaly separated after he cheated on her. She and her Aunty Sally are caring for her mother who is dying of cancer. On her mother's death bed she learns that Matt Walsh is her dad and does an internet search inwhich she learns where he lives in Queensland. Melody sets off to find him.
Zai Walstone who comes from a wealthy familyfather has dreams for him but he feels his place is being a farmer so he returns to work accepts the job at Rosalee Station as Stock manger when Slim gets married.
When Melody arrives at the Walsh farm she learns her dad is married has a son Beau, wife Sarah who is pregnant she is unsure of how to tell him but with Matt and Sarah's support she does and they are accepting of her I found this odd as I would have thought they do a DNA test even though Mandy states the resemblence to Matt. Meloday accepts the job a cook at Rosalee for six week so she get to know her family. Melody finds herself loving her time at Rosealee and feels like she home.
She also meets handsome stockman Zia and he does things to her heart, things that have never happened before but she carries a secret that she doesn't tell him or anyone. Zia Wellstone is a country man through and through he finds himself atttracted to her inwhich he begins a relationship with not knowing her secret.
Melody finds hersellf learning not only about her father his family but falling for Zai a her hear races each time she sees him. She is also battling with secret of her marriage from Zai as she continues to fall for him.
But Zai world falls apart when he learns the turth and rides a quade bike in anger and seriously hurt.
In which Melody fears she has lost him. I give the ending away Mandy Magro didn't dispointmet me I couldn't put it down. I hope this is not the end for this series I hope there is room for more stories for the series of Matt Walsh and his family, workers of Rosalee Station.

After eight years of marriage, Sarah Walsh had thought she and Matt would be together forever. But when a fatal accident serves up the cruellest punishment any mother could face, their relationship falters. Sarah is helpless as Matt flies off the rails – she braves one last–ditch attempt to try and make him see they need to work together to get through the heartache. But will it be enough? And what about her – how does she go on alone? Reeling from devastation and guilt, Matt gets the wakeup call he needs to save his marriage before it's too late. But the way forward is littered with obstacles, and he can see it's only by returning to the outback beauty and isolation of Rosalee Station that he has any chance to reclaim the man he once was. But will this separation end up costing him everything? (less)

Great to go back to Rosalee Station and reconnect with key characters.
Hard to initially fathom more pain for Sarah and Matt Walsh however Melody’s circumstances could be anyone’s in today’s world.

Love the station hands and the tough talk of being in isolation.

I was excited to win this book and read it, but was sadly, disappointed to find several mistakes in it. (Perhaps, somebody dropped the ball with proof reading during the COVID pandemic?🤔) I have read "Return to Rosalee Station" and other Mandy Magro books before and enjoyed them, being a big Rural Romance reader. I found the progression of the relationship between Melody and Zai a little unrealistic, however, towards the end. Nevertheless, I am still prepared to go back and read the beginning of the series, "Rosalee Station" and give it another chance. This is my first negative review on Goodreads and I was hesitant to put it up, but I thought it was better to make people aware of it. 2 Stars.⭐⭐

What a joy of a story, set in the iconic Australian outback, on Queensland remote Rosalee Station with gorgeous Zia helicopter muster pilot, and very capable city chef Melody.

The novel follows Melody’s journey discovering who her dad is after her mum discloses his name on her death bed, and following her journey as Melody is warmly welcomed into the Walsh family, Matt his gorgeous wife Sarah and their young son Beau, and Melody’s adventure swapping the bustling streets of Sydney to the laid back rural lifestyle.

I loved the ockerisms sprinkled throughout, coupled with the Cockney rhyming slang which added a distinct flavour to the story and I felt was so well suited to the outback setting. This was such an enjoyable read for me the characters were so real and their stories were relatable, they were a perfect fit and melded together nicely.

Thank you so much Beauty and Lace and Harper Collins for the opportunity to read and review “Road to Rosalee” by Mandy Magro, who always succeeds in putting the ‘rural’ in her romance novels so beautifully, and fingers crossed I am fortunate enough to also review Mandy’s 2022 book ‘Back to Country.’

“Road to Rosalee” is a nice enough little romance, but there really isn’t any substance to it beyond the romance. If a well written romance is what you want, this may be the book for you: but if you want a novel that goes beyond boy meets girl, this probably won’t satisfy.

Melody Harrison’s dying mother confesses to her that her absent father never actually knew about her. Grieving her mother’s death, and distressed by the increasing conflict in her marriage, Melody decides to head north to meet her father.

Melody takes a temporary job as cook on the original family station, Rosalee Station, in order to familiarise herself with her heritage. Before long she’s entranced by the outback, and by station hand Zai Wellstone. Zai returns her interest, but there’s a small problem.

Melody is still married. Her husband is expecting her back. And she hasn’t told Zai.
There are earlier Rosalee novels, featuring some of the same characters. I haven’t read any of them, and didn’t find it an impediment to following and enjoying the story.

There are a lot of strengths to this story. It’s quite well written (although there are a noticeable number of typos and misused words). The setting is well described and many readers will find themselves caught up in the romantic view of the outback.

Melody and Zai are both strong characters who feel real. The attraction between them is vividly depicted and their hesitations also feel very real. Other characters tend towards caricature – they’re just not explored in any depth – but in a way that makes Melody and Zai stand out the more.

However, the biggest weakness is that the focus is so strongly on the romance, everything else gets short shrift. Melody’s marriage, and what she does about it, is almost brushed under the carpet. After the initial meeting with her previously unknown father, this relationship and situation also pretty much disappears into the background. Both subplots felt tokenistic; a way to get Melody and Zai in the same place but put obstacles between them.

Granted, a romance doesn’t always need a meaty plot to surround it. But this took it to the other extreme, with almost nothing beyond the romance. True romance fans might not be bothered, but for me it left this novel in the middle of the road: it’s enjoyable to read, it’s well written, and the characters and romance are strong, but there’s nothing to make it stand out or particularly memorable.

“Road to Rosalee” will satisfy many readers who just want a steamy romance. However, readers looking for a little more in the way of plot or surrounding story will be disappointed.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵

In which is my favourite of the Rosalee Station series, we meet Melody Harrison and Zai Wellstone.

Melody is stuck in a marriage that she knows that won't work at all. As well as dealing with a cheating husband, Melody is also preparing to say goodbye to her beloved mother who's dying from cancer. As well as these troubles, she's also co-owner of a hip inner city cafe.

Soon after her mother dies, Melody travels to Far North Queensland where her birth father lives. Surprise, surprise, he is Matthew Walsh, who've we've met before in other books. Melody has always wanted to find her place in the world, and she's found it with the Walsh family and their outback station, Rosalee.

Taking up the offer to work as camp cook on her family's property, Melody becomes fast friends with the stockmen. However, there's one cowboy that makes her feel loved and cherished- Zai Wellstone. Zai is young, sexy and is seeking constant approval from his parents. There's nothing he loves more than being out in the saddle... Until he falls in love with Melody.

The feelings are replicated big time. There's just one major issue- Melody hasn't told her new beau that she's married.

If this is the final book in the series, it wrapped up perfectly. However, I hope it isn't the last we hear from the characters and lifestyle that make up this magnificent series! Life on Rosalee Station is so peaceful, tranquil and full of nature. I particularly enjoyed the descriptives of the weather, especially the storm that blew in.

It was also lovely to catch up with some familiar faces and find out what they've been up to. After a rough trot previously, it was a joy to see Matt and Sarah in such a great place. Despite their shock, they really were accepting and supportive of Melody from the get go!

Truly enjoyed every moment of this read!

Being the third book in the Rosalee Station Series, following Rosalee Station, and then Return to Rosalee Station, it continued on with some of the same characters, with the addition of some newbies.

Melody Harris arrives from Sydney after her mother's confession about her father.
holding Melody back.
Matt and Sarah Walsh open their door to a young woman who is about to turn their life upside down.

Zai Wellstone has worked on Rosalee Station in his dream job as head stockman. He meets Melody when she fills in as camp cook at Rosalee. Sparks fly between the pair, but there is a secret that is holding Melody back.

This book has quite a bit of action, some great outback characters, and emotions that go up and down more than an ironing press. A fantastic must read novel that can be read as a stand alone if you have not read the first two books.

This is the third book in the series, and how wonderful it was to be back at Rosalee Station.

This was a truly touching story of a search for belonging, love and healing.

Melody Harrison is left questioning everything following her mother’s passing.

Zai Wellstone longs for expectance of his wealth family but working in the outback is his dream.

These two find themselves at Rosalee Station and that’s where things being to come together for each of them.

I fell in love with one particular scene in the book and after reading it I couldn’t get Boom Crash Opera’s song “Dancing in the Storm” out of my head!

Mandy Magro has yet again delivered a story with all the feels!

If you love rural romance, you will definitely enjoy this one!

Rural Romance Alert!

To begin we follow main character Melody who is stuck in a horrible marriage to a cheating husband whilst looking after her dying mother.

Just before her mother passes away she informs Melody of her father's name. From there she sets about trying to locate him.

After some internet searching she finds that he's at Rosalee Station and married with a child. Leaving her cheating husband Melody heads up there, introduces herself and is asked to stay which she accepts.

In comes Zai the handsome head stockman and there's romance, romance, romance galore!

Magro certainly knows how to set up an idealistic rural romance full of likeable characters, beautiful Aussie bushland and of course two main characters falling head over heels for each other.

Thank -you Harlequin Books for sending me this in exchange for an honest review.

👎🏻🤠🥰My Book Review 🥰🤠👍🏻

My rating: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Genres: romance, rural romance, outback station

Age Rating: 15+

For people who..:
Love rural romance
My Opinion:

Well, like a lot of these books I’ve read it really doesn’t need much of an introduction.
Mandy magro really knows what she’s doing.
A great mystery book. Enough mystery with enough family saga/ romance and small town hometown to even it all out.
I absolutely loved Rosalee station, Matt and Sarah being one of my favourite couples and honestly one of those couple you just really wish were you.
The second Brad left. It was on its way.
Now seeing this book, a two to that was so good.
A lot of the time with these sort of books the seconds ones can be done… not well.
But this one? I loved it.
Melody was such a nice character. And her relationship with Matt was admirable.
And Zai Wellstone?
Enough said.

Will I read it again? Yes

Will I buy the book? Yes

Song that suits it: forever after all. Luke combs

❤️❤️Happy reading❤️❤️
