Omg. SooOoOo I loved this story!!! Reading this was super fun and entertaining. Best friend Ella and Rhianna get invited to a classmates wedding and end up on a fun adventure full of Highland Escapades for real!!! Omg I wish Ella *#&$&% *$8#*#^ @^!!! Winkwink!! Lol anyways these two girls are amazing together and the energy reading them was pure happiness. That's best friend goals right there. This story had all the banter too!!! I loved how the plot was pulled and really ran its course. Full of angst, steam, and sexiness. Alexander is hot and so was Eero!! Eero. I $#@! for him. &!*#$!?!?? He's amazing. Lol sorry can't spoil anything. The story was a great length. I never got bored with this and many times I was giddy and squealing like a girl who got all the attention from a big crush. Lol So glad I'm on the ARC team and I hope I can continue to be. Sweet, funny, realistic, loving story! 10 stars! 😅🥰🥰🥰🥰❤❤❤

Nikila Rose is a new up and coming author, who I stumbled across on Instagram, and I messaged her offering to ARC read this book, and believe me I am so glad I did, I absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend reading, 5 stars does not do it justice like my review probably. Lovely story that I didn't want to end.
There was just something about this book I just can't put my finger on that was pulling me it could be because its easy to read the words just flow, there is so many emotions and you feel them all. I didn't want to put the book down. The story just flows from page to page.
I liked the banter and friendship between El and Rhi there are several laugh out loud moments between the 2 friends specially the hedgehog 😂😂😂, The 2 friends are off to a wedding in Scotland along comes Alexander the knight in shining armour and OMG swoony worthy or what!!!
The chemistry between Lex and Rhi is there from when they first meet and it just keeps getting stronger, pulling them together.
They both have commitment problems and don't do relationships, but they both feel the attraction and know theres something. I'm not going to give any spoilers, download and start reading I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series El's.
I will absolutely be looking out for any new books by Nikila.

I was given an ARC of this novel and really was blown away! This book was filled with laughs and intense chemistry. Rhia and Alex’s story was gripping from the start. They had a good push-pull dynamic until they gave in and enjoyed each other. I don’t want to spoil the ending or any of the plot line. Instead I want everyone to read this book and enjoy every second as I did.
Rhia and Ella are on a girls trip that is fraught with disasters from the start. Alex saves them a few times and the chemistry between he and Rhianna and Alexander is instantaneous and undeniable. But neither of them believe in commitment. Their story unfolds and makes you believe in finding the one person meant for you.

So enjoyed this book! It is exactly as the title suggests, an escape! It had me dreaming of carefree days away with my girlfriends and steamy moments with sexy foreign strangers. I loved the friendship between Rhia and Ella and the chemistry between Rhia and Alexander. If you are after a book you can’t put down that will help you forget your worries and put a smile on your face this book is for you.

This book was hard for me to connect with. It started off slow, and I wasn’t sure where it was going. I was worried I had started reading a book that was about time travel or something I don't generally like. But I continued and then…it started getting better.
Rhianna and her friend Ella take a girl’s trip. For me, it would be a trip from heck, but they made the best of it. They had some mishaps in the airport and meet a handsome man that helps Ria out before she falls. There was a spark between the two of them during this brief encounter. But it was a lasting one for Ria.
The girls run into trouble and amazingly the handsome man helps again. There were a lot of unbelievable mishaps but the story became clearer while reading. Ria is a girl who doesn’t believe in relationships, but the connection between her and Alexander is incredibly hot and steamy. It is something she has never experienced.
This became a really great story once you get through the beginning and the heat begins. I loved the relationship between Ria and her friend Ella. It was entertaining how they worked through a lot of their problems.

I loved this romp in the Highlands!
The ‘Outlander’ references were perfect.
The twists and turns were fun and unexpected.

This is an incredible debut book by Nikila Rose. I loved the characters, the friendship and the world she creates. The story flows so well, never too slow nor is it rushed.
I loved Rhia and Ellas friendship. It was so nice to get to know the girls, their friendship history and how they always have each other’s backs. They are such fun! Some of the scenes were so funny, I laughed so hard!
Alexander.. 🔥🔥🔥 he is one hot Scot!! Oooof… he’s alpha, dominating but can be tender too. I liked getting to know him, the reasons behind some of the things he says and does. I loved watching him grow into his love for Rhia ♥️
Rhia. She is one independent, strong and feisty redhead! She knows what she wants and isn’t ashamed to go after it. She’s a fab character and the sort of gal you want in your life ♥️

Great Read
Highland Escape is a fun good feel book. The book starts off with Rhia and her bestie Ella going to Scotland to attend a wedding. From the moment they land in Scotland nothing goes to plan and the laughs begin. A great debut novel. Definitely worth the read.

Fun debut novel

“Highland Escapades” was a fun and steamy read that had me wanting to revisit Scotland again.
Rhia and Ella are in Scotland for a wedding. When plans go a little off of their plan, they go on their Scottish adventure. They meet Alex several times before becoming friends and having him join their adventure. The delicious tension between Rhia and Alex is there and ready to combust.
I had a lot of fun reading this book. As someone who went to Scotland in 2019, it was like living the adventure all over again. They even went to the Isle of Bute like me! It was such a trip to see that. The adult (I want to say the other word but it will get me yelled at) scenes were very spicy. Both Rhia and Alex struggled with personal issues that they were good enough to be in a relationship. I enjoyed their banter and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

What a great debut by Nikila Rose!! Really enjoyed the friendship and relationships in this book.
What an adventure for a classmates wedding! It did take me a bit to get into the book but once I did I enjoyed every minute of it. I read while on vacation and it was a perfect read for that.

My first read for this new and upcoming author. Watch out for her. Rhia is a confident woman who knows what she wants and likes to be in control. All that goes out the window when she and BFF Ella take a trip to Scotland. Nothing goes to plan from the beginning. Rhia enjoys no strings attached great sex, while her bestie has a steady BF. But people change, rules can be broken and so can hearts when Rhia's chosen sexcapades partner, Alexander disappears. There's humour and emotion in this story, and I enjoyed the hell out of it. Can't wait to read Ella's story.

aww I really loved this book!! im.not normally a fan of Scottish based books (being scottish) I find authors dnt quite get it right.. NOT this author this book was funny romantic steamy , it was emotional and beautiful. this is a really great romance story Rhia isn't your normal heroine and Alex well.hes exactly what you want to read about exactly..smoking hot Scottish hotty.. the author aced all the Scottish stuff from.lanuage to scenery to the delightful weather .. haunted castles and kilts .. if you love a good romance book you will love this !!

This is the author’s debut book, though you’d never know it. It is written so well and holds your attention from the start. It has all the romance, steam, laughter and even the right amount of upset, to keep you hooked and wanting to know what happens next.
Rhianna and Ella are fun, quirky friends with a sister-like friendship that I just love. They remind me of me and my sister, from their adventurous road trips where they often find themselves in some sort of trouble, right down to Ella’s nickname for Rhia. They are a hoot together, always laughing what life throws their way during their trip. You will enjoy them both, as well as their shenanigans. I sure did!!
Rhia first meets Alexander, when he swooped in to rescue her from her latest mishap. Throughout the story, this continues. He always seems to be there, just when she needs him. Rhia, witnessing her brother’s heartbreak at a young age, had sworn off relationships. Similarly, Lex wasn’t looking for anything serious. He just wanted to have fun but they always seemed to find each other, even when that wasn’t their intention. Lex does end up upsetting Rhia at one point, but she has a take no BS attitude and her initial reaction to him showing up to make things right, makes their relationship so believable and I just love that in a book. I like being able to relate to the characters and with Rhia’s relationships with Ella and Lex, the author made that super easy for me to do. It all started with Rhianna & Alexander meeting by chance, two people that swore off love and we get to watch them enjoy each other’s time, build a friendship and eventually fall in love. Just like it would happen in real life. I love that about Highland Escapade. There are real life issues, and the timeline of events, happen in a real-life way.
This book has laughter, romance & steam as well as a bit of fun suspense that was thrown in when Rhia & Ella stay overnight in a castle during a storm that makes their whole experience a bit spooky, but their reactions to it all make it hilarious. I can’t wait to fall into their world again, with Ella’s story!!

November 6, 2021I loved writing this book so much. It had me smile, cry and stomp my foot in frustration when Rhia & Lex were stubborn.
I love the dynamic between Rhia and Ella. I wish I had their kind of friendship when growing up. They are so much fun together. And this will continue in Ella's story.
Lex... well, to me he is hot hot hot. So strong and independent, yet he has a real soft side to him, that, I think, surprises him to discover with Rhia. I swooned so many times. What a beautiful man.

Loved this story so much as I laughed so often and the dialogue was great. Rhianna and Ella are best friends, going to the wedding of another friend, and looking for adventure as friends do. Crossing paths with Alex often until he joins them and then the steam starts to hit. The characters and storyline were well written and kept me glued to the pages until the very end. Great ending for Rhianna and Alex and can not wait to see if Ella is next.

Who loves a road trip!? I do! I do!! Specially if it involves my best friend and hot man in a kilt WITH a sexy Scottish accent 😉 (insert sigh) This is my first book by Author Nikila Rose. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it!
Highland Escapade is a story taking two BFF’s to Scotland for a “friends” wedding. Of course, one shenanigan after another happens and they never make it to see the couple tie the knot. Instead they say, “screw it and toss caution to the wind” and embark on a crazy Scottish Adventure.
I love the banter and the relationship between Rhianna and Ella. It’s how BBF adventures should be. Their energy, conversations, silliness and love for one another makes my heart happy. ❤️ Total best friend goals!
Than you have the major slow burn between Rhianna and Alexander! (Grab a fire extinguisher people!) I could feel the sexual tension a mile away! But, of course, they are not looking for a relationship. But, man, the slow burn only leads them to sexy and steamy as heck “encounters!” 🔥😉 I also enjoyed watching them realize their feelings for one another. How they come together.
Also, add other great supporting characters into the mix and you have a great story. Well done! (I’m hoping Ella gets her own book.). I’m sure it would be another great adventure! Congratulations on a great book! Looking forward to reading more Nikila Rose books!

Is this a new favourite? I think so. I will admit to being fussy when it comes to smutty romance books. What do I dislike? I hear you ask, I don’t like when a woman is weak and instantly bows down to a man and forgets herself completely, I hate cringey spicey scenes, the language used makes it cringey. Finally, I hate a cliche argument. This book is none of those things. This book had my laughing and relating to the two female characters, it was a friendship I could relate to. The main female character was funny, confident, strong willed, sarcastic and she stayed this way all throughout the book. She did not change. She remembered her worth and made Alexander work for it, she did not bend her morals and self worth to suit him. I loved that, I love a strong female character who stays strong throughout and is consistent who doesn’t change after the first chapter. The romance was slow burning and brilliant. It made the entire story so much more enjoyable. I cannot praise this book enough. The characters, the story, the banter, the sarcasm, the romance, the sex, the heartache, everything was just written to perfection. I have laughed, I have cried, I have gasped, I have spoken out loud. I have fallen in love with this book, with the author. It is an easy five stars I cannot find a fault. I highly recommend.

This book was so much fun! The characters and the Scottish landscape were brought to life so brilliantly that by the end I almost felt as if I had been on a road trip myself. There is a perfect balance of tension and release throughout the book and I didn’t want to put it down! So looking forward to the next book from Nikila Rose.

This book left me giggling
Rhia and Lex are freaking adorable. That’s what this book is. It’s not overly steamy but the banter and honestly it was refreshing to read an FMC who isn’t all googly eyes and innocent. Rhia knows what she likes and who she is. Lex is her counterpart. Again just a very refreshing love story that had me smiling almost the whole time.

The book is a good, and enjoyable romantic comedy read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry.

This book is funny and spicy. The authors details are so descriptive you would think you were there. There is definitely a connections between the MFC and MMC. I loved the fun aspects of the best friends. I am usually good at figuring out the ending of a book, but this one had me guessing.

Let me just start by saying that this book sizzles! This story has a great mix of romance as well as fun. There's also a great friendship with the two girls, Rhia and Ella, and they always seem to have some fun times. You will fall in love with sexy Lex!
