Never have I ever come across such a detailed guide on how to start your own record label and navigate the music industry. Whether you are a seasoned professional in the music business or a total beginner who has never dipped his toes in those waters (like myself), this book is for YOU. It covers so much content and in such detail that by the time you finish reading it, you will have a complete understanding of how record labels work and the role they play in the music industry at large.

I was one of the lucky few who got to read The Label Machine while it was still being revised and I remember just being astounded at the sheer amount of knowledge the author Nick Sadler was pouring into it. He has compiled all his experience starting and running successful independent labels and put it all into one book - a true "bible" of how to start your own label and make it thrive in a very competitive music industry. It's arguably the book that Nick and so many record label founders before him wish they could have read before they started their own labels, being forced to learn by trial and error as opposed to having such a detailed blueprint at their disposal from the start.

Don't let the size of the book scare you, though. It is very accessible, even for non-native English speakers like me, and contains plenty of examples and practical applications to help you understand all the theory. There's even templates of contracts and agreements that you can adapt to your own label, as well as a number of other resources the author has made available on The Label Machine website.

Overall, this book's value far exceeds its price - value that extends well beyond an audience of label founders and directors. Artists, producers, managers and more can all benefit from reading what should be a must-have in the music industry, even if they have no desire to start a record label. It is "a diamond in the rough" as this kind of books come.
