In the wake of a mysterious global cataclysm that may or may not be increasing human aggression, American expatriate teacher Faran Harris finds himself back in the United States and living in his childhood bedroom as countries around the world close their borders. As he reconnects with family and old friends and mourns the loss of his adventurous international lifestyle, he finds himself drawn more and more into the worlds of political partisans, social justice activists, religious fundamentalists and fringe conspiracy theorists. Repatriated is a satirical look at our current moment and its divisive political discourse.
