Cute and sexy read. Both have emotional tragic experiences that prevent them in trusting and wanting more. Jennifer and Rod have a pretty rough meet but there is definitely something simmering underneath all that unintentional hate. They have excellent chemistry and you can feel how they fall for each other.

He has been watching the beautiful stranger from afar while he takes her to mainland and home. He is trapped in loss of his wife ten yrs ago not sure if he want to give in to his attraction to the lovely Jennifer. Jennifer is new to the island having moved there to open a coffee shop. She is still dealing with the loss of her husband.
Rod and Jennifer are not looking for love again. But, they cannot help but be drawn to one another. A continuation of the Faire Island Bride series, this installment is steamy and fun while also a reminder that life goes on.

This is book 3 in the series and although you can read it alone you should read the first two books as it helps you to know the history of the place and people.
This is a sweet story of two people who have loved and lost. Rob runs the ferry boat from the island to the mainland. He has been watching the beautiful stranger from afar while he takes her to mainland and home. He is trapped in loss of his wife ten yrs ago not sure if he want to give in to his attraction to the lovely Jennifer.
Jennifer is new to the island having moved there to open a coffee shop. She is still dealing with the loss of her husband when her sister Joy forces her to bring coffee/treat to the sexy captain. It doesn’t go well as he is moody.
But the attraction no help of his brother he comes back to apologize and ask her out. After a few no she finally says yes.
This story is a,aging journey of two people who love each other and have great chemistry. Bonding by fact they both widowers and have a lot in comment. They have a few twist before they figure out how to move forward. I loved that they both older couple.
This is a great feel good book with a few tears . It does have HEA. Cant wait for more in this services.

The Faire Island series by Lizabeth Scott is an excellent, sexy, emotional contemporary romance. The series begins with the town realizing that there are too many men and not enough women. So the citizens hold a contest to win an inn there. As the series progresses, more businesses are being opened by women that have moved to the island. The men are flocking to them to get dates. Grounds for Love is the third book in the series. It focuses on Rod and Jenni who are an older couple. Both of them are widowers, and haven’t let go of their pasts. They are instantly attracted to each other, but their emotional baggage gets in their way. Lizabeth Scott’s heroes are grumpy and stubborn, and the women are strong willed. The couples are sexy, and they always finds a happily ever after. Their journeys are emotional adventures. I never want to put the book down once I’ve started it. Don’t miss this series. The books can be read alone, but you’ll want to meet the other characters!

Two people with tragic losses in the past. Instant attraction mixed with denial.
This is the first book about people in their fourties for me. Obviously, they have their own reservations about relationships and other people. When they first try to get together, they don't know what to do next.
It was an interesting experience for me to read this book. Extra chapters that I received later were wonderful) I laughed a little and cried a little while reading this novel.

Omg! Rod and Jenni's story was amazing !
The older second chance love story that unfolded kept me turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. I couldn't put it down!
It's an emotional roller-coaster ride, but that's what kept me reading.
It was fabulous written with so much love.

The Faire Island Brides series is exceptional and a guaranteed emotional ride that will pull at all your heart strings. Rod and Jennifer's story is poignant and very moving. Both of them have experienced indescribable loss and they are drawn together much to their surprise in their mutual grief.
As their story unfolds I found myself near tears but we also experience the hope that they will both navigate through their individual losses and find each other at the end of the journey. I always enjoy reading about older couples and was over the moon that Lizabeth Scott chose to write about mature love.

What a roller coaster Lizabeth Scott has taken her readers on with this 3rd book in the Faire Island Bride Series.
We have Rod a surly, bad tempered but very good looking Ferry Captain and Jennifer a bouncy, smiling Coffee Shop owner who catches his eye on the regular ferry trips back and forward to the mainland. They both have heartbreak in their past, neither are looking for romance, relationship or even friendship with the opposite sex but bam that chemistry!
A story so well written, dealing with love, loss, friendship, steamy hot sex scenes.
You will definitely enjoy reading Rod and Jenni’s story it’s a stand alone book, but you can also enjoy the other books in the Faire Island Series.

As always Liz takes you on an such emotional journey that you can’t put the book down. Many a late night (early morning?) when I get involved in one of her books. Rod and Jenni both experienced heartache when they lost their spouses years earlier and vowed never to get remarried thinking they would never love again. But the sparks fly when they meet but they both tried to fight it and Liz takes you along on the ride from awareness to denial to frustration to acceptance and with tears and laughter along the way. I still chuckle about the helmet/eyes incident! And still get goosebumps about when I think of her hearing from her ex. A beautiful love story and that even in the darkest of times love can come again and bring light. Thank you Liz.

Two lost souls traveling through life without the hope of ever finding love again. But I think you need to want love first and this is no more apparent than with Rod and Jenni. They just need a little push (or a shove) to open their eyes to each other. Reading this I tried not to be sad for them, knowing Lizabeth will make everything okay for them. And in her brilliant storytelling she did! Not only did Lizabeth write a story of loss, she gave us one of finding love again and with humor, I laughed through some tears.
Lizabeth Scott continues the Faire Island Bride series with another wonderful romantic story that includes those Islanders we have already met.

For the first time, reading Lizabeth Scott has brought me to tears. Drowning in emotion, daring to be real and fluttering with hints of humor, Grounds for Love brings out all the feels. Rod and Jenni are opposites in every way, except for where it counts most. The tragic pain of loss. Their journey speaks to the beauty and unpredictability of life, love and hope in a way that says it's ok to be vulnerable. A haunting life lesson that leaves it's mark.

I sincerely loved this book! It had everything I wanted in a read of this type. So "real". Instances for doubt and then to see the sincerity in the meaning of this book. It is partly because I found someone later in life also.

Another amazing book by Lizabeth Scott! It’s the 3rd in the series on Farie Island. It’s at steamy second chance romance. Jennifer and Rod’s story line of loss and exploring new possibilities for finding love is one of my favorites.
