Kron is an Elite Warrior of the Cruestaci military. He’s temporarily on Earth as support personnel to the Cruestaci Consul to Earth. He’s basically happy on Earth, making friends easily, performing his duties in an exemplary manner. There is only one thing he can’t do. He can’t get Ginger Buchanan out of his brain. And to make matters worse, now her father, Viceroy Buchanan of Earth, has made it clear he expects Kron to marry his daughter. How is he supposed to mate a female who has no idea what that mating would mean? Everything would change for her, including her plans for her future which clearly don’t include life with him on an alien warship. He cares too much for her to force her into a situation that she could never escape. Doesn’t he?
Ginger Buchanan is a confident, self-sufficient young woman, who has no problem going after anything she wants, or voicing her opinions. Unless those opinions are voiced to her mother. And that is a big problem, because her mother despises aliens. She considers them invaders from another world, and to the contrary, Ginger has fallen in love with one. Kron is everything she’s ever wanted in a male. He’s kind, considerate, strong, capable, and handsome. If she could find a way to gain his attention, she would, but he doesn’t seem interested. Little does she know, her father has offered her in marriage to the very alien she fancies herself in love with.
Forces are working to push Kron and Ginger toward a mating bond that neither is ready for. On discovering manipulation in play to push them together, Ginger angrily turns her back on Kron. But they’re about to find out those manipulations are the least of their worries. A domestic terrorist group known as the Purists have set their sights on driving all aliens from Earth, and are not above using violence and scare tactics to do so. The threat to all aliens and those who associate with them is very real. Kron finds himself thrust into a protective role, watching over the Consul’s home and family — which is no great challenge for him — he’s an Elite Warrior. But support for the Purists lies in surprising places, leading to the disappearance of his mate, his Ginger. Kron is now more focused, more dangerous than he’s ever been. He will stop at nothing to find her and return her to safety, even if she turns her back on him afterward. Will he find her before it’s too late? And if he does, will he and the unsanctioned Cruestaci military unit that’s sent to help him start a war in the meantime?
Warning: Intended for mature audiences. This book contains abuse both real and implied, and sexual situations that may be disturbing for some readers. If you are offended by these subjects, please do not buy this book.
I write Paranormal, SciFi and Fantasy Romance. Why, you may ask? Romance, because who doesn’t love a good romance, and the lack of reality in the story lines - because, well, normal is highly overrated. I’m 55, I have two kids, one 32 and one 12 (yes, God does have a sense of humor), one grandchild, one husband, and a menagerie of animals. Literally, too damn many things that eat wandering around our property. I love to cook, and I am a voracious reader, though since I started writing I don’t get as much time to read as I once did. I am a homebody and prefer my writing/reading time to a crowd. I have had stories and fictional characters wandering around in my head for as long as I can remember. I started letting them out into the real world and surprisingly, people have loved them. I am a Self-Published Author, and I like it that way because I can decide what and when to write. I am by no means a formal, polished, properly structured individual and neither are my stories. But people seem to love the easy emotion and passion that naturally flow from them. A bit of a warning though, there are some “triggers” in them that certain people should avoid. I’m a firm believer that you cannot have light without the dark. You cannot fully embrace the joy and elation that my people eventually find if you do not bear witness to their darkest hours as well. So please be sure to read the warnings supplied with each of the synopses about my books before you buy them. I've got three series published at this time, Avaleigh's Boys - PNR, Whispers From the Bayou - Fantasy PNR, Haven - a SciFi, and three more in process. I’m a bit sarcastic, scathing actually, and a smartass to boot, so if I offend you, it is most likely not intentional. But be prepared because it probably won’t be the last time. I’m always glad to hear from readers; those who have followed me from the beginning, and those who have just found my people. So feel free to look me up and say hello, or just follow along; either way, I’m glad to have you.
I’m usually a fan of this author’s writing. I’ve even enjoyed this series this far. That being said, this was not my favorite, and I struggled to get through it.
The characters - Kron was alien, but not really. I mean in looks yes, but that’s really about it. Ginger was … idk, it’s hard to explain. She decides that she wants to be with him, and they go around that subject so many times. Oh yes, I want to be with you, but we need to talk. And this is basically the whole of their relationship. Every time they’re about to talk, either something happens, or they end up just repeating everything they’ve already said, without touching on the important bits. I GET IT. For the sake of the story, I get that it’s supposed to be that way but man? It annoyed me so much I skipped a lot of this book. It was of course predictable, and I have a feeling I know how the next book will go as well because yup, predictable.
*WARNING* intended for mature audiences First, I have to say what an awesome cover this. Second , I have to say how evil Ms. Neeley is to end the book like that!😵 This story has humans, aliens and who do you think the monsters are. The humans!! I was drawn into this story from the beginning. I was appalled that a mother could treat/do such things to her own child. I adore the prior characters being in this story. There is betrayal, abuse, madmen, and love in this story. There is world building, character development, and action. I don't see how it could have been any better (other than the ending.)
This is my favourite series and relish every new story that comes out. So the plot thickens and new opportunities back on earth for our alien hero's to find their mates. Enjoyed Ginger and Krons story, love at first sight but the path to finally building and enjoying said love was full of twists and heartbreak, particularly from a parent, often there is no greater crime than that. OMG in love with Va'roush and can't wait till he meets his match, also Zhuxi's group now they are an interesting species they will definitely need a special type of earth female if they ever meet any, definitely naturalists.
These Aliens are the VERY best kind!!! Love this series!
First thing, I've read every book before this one and each one was Fantastic. I will continue to read them as soon as they come out. This series has great storyline s And all the characters are so well defined that you feel that you can see them and their relationships. Great humor and plenty of action keeps you so involved that you hate to put it down. HIGHLY recommend this series. Really need to start in order to get the very best out of them. Book one was sooooo good, it got me hooked. I've read book one two times and loved it each time.lol
This was a wonderful read, I love how there love story developed, the ups and downs they went through. What a beautiful thing to take on each others facial features, clever idea. The head ending is birth sad and happy with one of their own missing. It's nice to see all the other characters from the other books are back in play since they 've returned to the ship. I can't wait until Mitchell gets his ass kicked. Ba'Re is such a good dude and hopef ully that will get Elisha back where she needs to be.
An amazing story of enduring love! Ginger Buchanan is impetuous. Kron Val Kere, however, is not. I love the way they each make excuses to seek each other’s company and how Ginger’s father ‘helpfully’ nudges them in the right direction. That impetuous behavior soon lands Ginger in a huge heap of trouble, however. Their story is complex, fraught with violence and danger, consuming passion, and assistance from unanticipated sources. Truly edge-of-my-seat reading!
Sucks you right back in and into another world that you don't want to leave. Wasn't to sure about either character at first but it sped up enough to get interesting without losing interest and you soon start to really like both characters. Even better when other characters are introduced and brought back and was awesome to have Quin put his foot down with the way his people are treated so can't wait for the next one!!
I like this author and series so I clicked to read. I was so frustrated with the first several chapters because the two main characters Ginger and Kron are childish and so are some of the supporters. It’s difficult to read when Kron keeps saying he wants to take their new found mate status slow but never explains why! Kron tells Ginger and her dad about how serious the mating is. So how Kron slows it down he doesn’t return to the base when they have made plans to meet, what? Also he doesn’t comm her, seriously ghosting yet Ginger is his mate. In one scene the Ginger and her father go in search of Kron. They find him at his friend’s house Kol with his mate Ada and their children. Again, Kron is like yes Ginger and I are mates and I didn’t forget our date, I am moving slow to make sure. This went on for a while, then the theme of violent human purists kicks in and the storyline shifts to become a dramatic suspense book for the series while the romance takes a back seat. The end leaves the reader with two things: Ginger and Kron decide to be mates and a very important warrior is missing and the mission to find him is under way. Disappointed with the romantic couple and their storyline was not good.
Kron is an warrior stationed on earth, but he's also creative, and sweet! Ginger has quite the controlling family, especially her crazy mother. Ginger's relationship with her dad is a good one, though. Her father is Kron's superior and he would really like to see Ginger and Kron together. This storyline was a like a tug-of-war between Ginger's parents. Her mother is a purist. (NOT A GOOD THING...) Haven 5 is a slow-burn romance to begin with, but then the situation goes south for Ginger. If you have any triggers at all I would recommend you avoid this book. If reading that makes you curious, then go ahead and dive in! I found this book a little light-medium on the steamy side, but the bulk of the story feels like home with our Haven crew. If you're a fan of the series, then we spend time with Kol and Ada Jane and some of our other beloved characters. It's such a fun group of Cruestaci. I think I love them all! And beware, the epilogue might contain a little bit of a cliffhanger. :::bites nails::: Don't miss Ginger and Kron's rather dramatic story! 4 stars!
It is official, I am still hooked with this series. Because it takes place on Earth, you don't get any interaction with my all-time favorite character, Vivian. I love that character beyond words, she makes me laugh, cry, and cheer for her. If you don't know the character then you have not read the first book, so my advice is read book 1. A- things will make more sense and B- she is really worth the read. As always, I hope you enjoy the series as much as I have. Can't wait to read the next book! Thanks.
Some humans have such an exaggerated sense of being better than others because of how they look that the predigesil treatment of non-humans mimics whites vs. American indians, vs. Blacks. The exterior is an envelope you never know if the contents bring good or bad news, truth or lies. Now when does book 6 come out? HEA has happened but a male is missing when will he be found and rescued? Can hardly wait.
Kron, elite warrior, has found his one. Ginger, daughter to a viceroy, has found a male of worth. Now, if only their enemies would leave them alone, they could bond fully. Purist terrorists think they know what's best for earth, including separating mates, are more wrong than they know. They just declared war on the people who help protect earth from the true predators.
When I think this series can't get any better, another excellent read is thrown in my path again. This revolves around Kron and Ginger but included all the regular characters from Command Warship 1 and a previous, not so nice character makes his appearance again. However it ends on another cliff hanger, so now I must wait for Haven 6. Don't be too long....
This book felt a little more rushed than the others in this series. Certain pieces of the narrative were not as well integrated into the story. Despite the rough patches, I still enjoyed the characters and the world. The book ended quite abruptly, the most literal cliff hanger, so I can't wait to see what adventures the next will bring.
This is the series you compare all others to in this genre! I cannot i.plore you enough to start this series! It is beyond incredibly absorbing and will guide you through all the workings and inner workings of these WORLDS! IT IS UDDERLY PHENOMENAL! REALLY! GET THIS SERIES!
I love everything about this series. Each book is a revelation and enjoyment. I don't want this series to end. Oh, and the sex scenarios are damn hot too. Thank you Sandra for your humor and talent at bringing these characters off the pages and into my vivid imagination!
I enjoyed getting reacquainted with the Crustaci and their human mates. I look forward to the upcoming battle with the Purists. I hope we don’t have to wait too long for the next book.
Love this series with it's hit male Aliens and their feisty mates. This was Krons story. The purist kidnapped his mate, they got her back but now one of their own is missing.
From a seemingly innocent matchmaking attempt between Ginger and Kron by others.... to a high ride of kidnapping, beatings, betrayal...to love. Full unconditional love. You've got to read it....now I sit anxious for the nex.t
Aliens are on earth and testosterone overloaded human males have banded together to put a stop to the perceived threat of alien domination. If course, the misogynistic fanatics steal and "reprogram" unwilling victims who are okay with the spacemen saving the planet.
This was not as good as the first of the series but still a very enjoyable read. It ends in a bit of a cliff hanger, but does not directly involve the main characters. Instead it sets the stage for the next book.
Too much and not in a good way. The characters sometimes come off as whiney and immature. There's a lot of oversimplify of situations. . I have noticed this in all her books. I tried to push thru. Because they have a interesting story line. Sometimes less is better
I love it so much the end was near upon me that I didn’t notice, this is how engaging the storyline is. Got caught up quickly. It’s the best enfolding drama ever told. My favorite is everyone is as a big famil🥰, the interaction is flawless. 💫🥰
Wow this author delivers no powder puff frill! Its love, hate, passionate, dangerous, heart rendering, vengeance and full of Villians, even in ones own family!! Look out.... each book only gets more intense and better!
These books are so easy to read and get caught up in the story. I could not put it down until I was finished! So looking forward to the next one! Please!
