Do you like books based on puzzles? What if they have secrets & mythological personalities? And if I inform you that the cherry on the cake is that the narrative concerns Hindu Mythology, won't you instantly want to know more about this book? This book had me in its grip directly from the moment the mysterious trip started. Discovering all about Hindu Gods piqued my curiosity to another level.
The book's red cover & title is especially eye-catching. The shocks just kept arriving one behind the other, till the very final sentence; I held a big 'O' when I staggered back into actuality. There were a few glitches, but with the speed at which the account was operating & its astonishing story, I decided to skip them. This book stimulated my curiosity in Hindu mythology & understanding of various gods.
The book has catchy cover so I picked it up. The book is of thriller genre and it’s my favourite so I loved it. I will briefly summarise the blurb. The story started six years back. A girl struggling to get hold of her inhaler incident was described too perfectly and it gave the picture of upcoming riddle. In present day. Ishan, Shakti, Neha and Shoumik were having a discussion. Shoumik Haldar is the Deputy Director of IB. In an envelope, there was a request or a letter to IB requesting to look into the death of the princess of Goner, Rajasthan. She was found dead in guest room in famous Kuldevi Temple. With that Shakti also suggested about sex ratio and high infant mortality rate that gained interest. Following that investigation started. I liked the chapter names given in correlation to Goddesses. Late princess Avni Saraswat had a joint family. They checked for the aspect that if anyone is benefited from her death. I liked the description of Haveli. Now in investigation, questions rise such as why was she killed the very night she became queen and whether her family is hiding something. There is also a prophecy made up of ten riddles that explains the book title. I won’t discuss further as it will lead to spoilers. Read the book to unfold further plot. I loved the plot. It’s a complete saga of mystery, drama, secrets, etc. The story moves at faster pace, I liked that. Narration style of the author is crisp and captivating that holds the interest of the reader. The mystery is well plotted. Story took few unexpected turns. The language if the book is lucid so that everyone can pick it up. Overall good one. I enjoyed reading it. Recommended from my side.
Sapan Saxena weaves an amazing tale of murder, mystery and mythology. The princess of Goner dies mysterious death while the infant mortality rate there is high which was strange.
Inspector Shoumik, The local politician Shakti and a famous author Ishan joins hands to solve the case.
This book again made me make the mood board as there are so many details and things to learn about Hindu Mythology the Goddesses. If you are someone who loves reading more about mythology and want to read a murder mystery around it do not skip this one.
With a mysterious plot and a gripping narration, Sapan Saxena astounds the readers as the mystery unfolds. The quest to solve the ten riddles with many hurdles on the way, it's a mindblowing, unpredictable story that you will definitely enjoy.
With an enchanting writing style, it's a fast-paced story, an adventure that you must witness. The story gets more and more exciting, full of suspense with each chapter. I liked how each chapter is titled on the name of each of Nav Durga.
The strong, well-developed characters steal the show. I fell in love with Ishan's character, the powerhouse of knowledge, the determined and strong Shakti and the master of solving the mystery, Shoumik. Each of them had their own journey, and the way they solved this case is just fantastic.
The way Ishan explains each riddle, and the discussions around it are super interesting to read.
The author builds excitement for the readers along with many unheard stories from Hindu mythology. I loved the way the events were taking place making this book more exciting. From educating people to finding clues and revealing the secrets, it's a rollercoaster journey.
The climax was totally unpredictable and the way Shoumik planned and spilled the beans was outstanding. It's an exciting, well detailed and amazing read that you must not skip if you like reading mystery.
Once you have crossed the threshold of 11th page, there is no going back, the more you read, the more you want to know, the plot of the story is so well written. The book has so many detailed information that I found really fascinating like the tales of various Devi’s, importance of their iconography and how every chapter started with the name of a Devi and what she stands for. The book not only revolves around solving a murder mystery but also on solving a historical riddle holding a secret which have been impacting the lives of so many people. Apart from the Mythological point of view the author also focuses on topics like sex ratio. The overall theme of the book revolves around female power and strength. The Cover of the book is spot on and does overall justice to the plot of the book. The language is quite lucid. The characters are very well framed and developed. I really loved how the secret was tied with historical data. The secret revealed at the end was quite impressive.
I wish the author would give blueprint of the temple better understanding of the locations of the rooms, I feel if some pictures of various artifacts and mural would have been included that would take experience of reading this book to another level. I had to google picture of every Devi for better understanding of what’s going on in the story, a picture would have been handy and there are many pictures of a same Devi available in different forms available online. I felt that the initial part i.e., the first chapter is kind of a loose end as there is not much of the story related to it available later. The book could have used a bit of editing and proof reading here and there.
Sapan Saxena is like Indian Dan Brown and his The Tenth Riddle has made the list of my favourites books by Indian authors.
The book starts off mysteriously, but over the course of time, it grips you so hard into it, that it's difficult to set it aside. The knowledge that it imparts about the Mahavidyas, Shiv Shakti, and the outstanding concept of Ardhanarishvara just blows your mind! The history lessons about the Gupta and Kushan period were made very interesting. Sapan did a great job amalgamating these concepts into a gripping thriller! And the end! The secret that is revealed at the end is just mind blowing! And a very huge part of me wished it to be true, wished that something like this does exist, and if it's fiction, I commend the author for coming up with such a creative idea.
The characters, Shoumik, Ishan and Shakti were interesting enough. Ofcourse, Ishan won my heart with his immense knowledge of hindu mythology. And even though Shoumik was the protagonist, being IB and lead working on the case, it's the character of Shakti that I found interesting of them all.
I liked the twist in the end, with the princess and her lost friend, though I do think the story could have been developed better, and a little less simple. I also felt more justice was required to Kriti's character. I also felt that some items in the interest of the riddle were captured unrealistically easy.
Majorly, I loved the book, and look forward to reading more works of the author.

The story begins with a flashback of six years back, with a girl who probably got locked or might have been locked in a room and is asking for help. But, since no one comes in rescue, she dies because of lack of oxygen. Coming to the present, it begins with Shoumik, who's the Deputy Director of IB, meeting his two best friends Ishaan and Shakti. While Ishaan is a very renowned writer, Shakti is an MLAM. They have been planning out on their decision of getting married soon. While they are on their meeting, Shoumik's peon let's him know that someone as Naina Shukla wants to visit him on urgent note. While Shoumik tries to avoid the meet for the present meet, Naina barges inside the cabin and puts forward a letter on how IB has neglected an important letter from the Royal Office of Gooner. It said about how the Princess of Gooner lost her life and the case remained unsolved by the police and IB. Naina warns Shoumik if the case isn't solved she might take some legal action as she's a leading member of NWC. And that's how, along with Shoumik, Shakti and Ishaan joined in the case and began solving it into bits. Now many question arises on the death of the Princess and the mystery becomes more deep as to why and how did it happen. Coming to how I liked the story. I enjoyed reading it. It had deep mythological touch which was really something different for me. The initial part of the book made me hooked to the story, but in between, the story got distracted a bit from the case and more on the mythological parts , mainly focusing on the Mahavidyas. I learnt a lot new things about Mahavidyas, about which I was really unaware of and that was a really good part for me. But, the story in between kept deviating from the main track to the mythology, hence making me not to keep up in that part. But, concluding about how the complete read was, I really enjoyed it thoroughly. The end was really unexpected! I never expected the story would end on this note. I can say I loved it❤ Readers who love engaging into mythological books, along with thriller, this is a two in one book for you. You will love it❤

First thing i must admit is book cover is very catchy. Combining thriller and mythology is great combo and it's another reason I picked it out.
When it comes to the book the book is a thriller story with some decent amount twists and handful of mythological information. While reading the book you can find the work done by the author in writing this books.

This book was filled with all the items a reader want in a thriller book, solving puzzles, lateral thinking, strategies what not every thing. Informative and interesting book to be read, the author written the book very will in a organised manner without any chaos and giving the reader a great imagination treat.
I don't want to reveal much of information as it will spoil the thrill of the readers, so go and grab the book to drown in this mythological thriller.
This is no doubt one of the best thriller I have ever read. Kudos to author for writing such a masterpiece. The book is going to blow your mind. I bet you cant leave without reading it at one go. The Tenth Riddle by Sapan Saxena is a suspense thriller where Shoumik (an intelligence officer), Ishan (an author and expert in Indian history), and Shakti ( a political leader) come together to solve a six-year-old murder mystery of the queen of Goner. One day Naina Shukla visits Shoumik's office regarding a case. She tells him about a six-year old murder of the queen of Goner. Also, there is an unusually high number of child deaths happening in Goner due to deformation, all are girls. Is this connected with the murder of the queen. Suspense is maintained till the end. In order to solve the mystery behind the murder, Shoumik and team have to solve ten riddle each taking them even closer to their answer. Find out the reason and see the various mysteries unfolding. You cannot miss reading this book. Highly Recommended.
A murder mystery. The story set in the 21st century with ancient Indian mythology. The story based a princess named Avni Saraswat of Saraswat family at Goner in Rajasthan mysterious death which remains unsolved for years unless three friend, a local politician Shakti Sinha, Deputy Director of IB Shoumik Haldar and best-selling author Ishan Vajpayee, take up a case forced by the NWC to solve the six-year-old murder mystery. Many question arises on the death of the Princess and the mystery becomes more deep as to why and how did it happen.

Thriller is something which creates the impact in mind to know “who is doing all these?” I fell in love with thrillers since my teenage days, and it continued till now. Sapan Saxena is one such author who’s two other books I read earlier and loved. The first one was Finders, Keepers, and another one was UNNS- the Captivation. I loved his style of writing, and so I picked his latest “the Tenth Riddle”. I didn't keep any confusion about the story and plot. Before I take it further need to agree that Sapan Saxena knows how to keep his readers hooked till the end.
The story remained interesting, right from the beginning. As I progress through the story, I can feel the thrill and curiousness in me to know what next. The story is not only interesting but outstanding. It displays a perfect blend of thriller, mystery and mythology. The credit goes to the author as he truly delivered an outstanding piece of work for the readers.
I have always been an admirer of thrillers but then haven't read many books which take a cue from the unfortunate events that happened in the past like female foeticide and build around those events. This one does so and presents a poignant tale in which politician , author and an investigative officer all join hands together to unravel the secret behind Princess of Goner mysterious death.
The novel is based around this demise which took place years ago. Gradually various layers are unfolded in the form of taboos that were prevalent in those times like the skewed gender ratio especially in the suburbs of regions of Rajasthan. Also every single detail and clue around her death is paid proper attention to because it was quite ironic that the day she became queen she was found dead.
The book is written intricately and is quite detailed. The thing which I dint like was it focussed less on the main plot and mystery and gave more heed to the practices which gave a sense of impression of building own narrative. I mean it felt good to read the vibrant description of Haveli but then it comes at a wrong time when the readers are already immersed in the story . The title is apt and plays a crucial role in the tale.
The narrative neatly weaves present and past with a perfect rythmic sense of when to leave or to revisit a particular strand. The story is bouncy and author has kept the adventurous tone alive till the final page.
Hitting the track now. The novel has many important characters who have been given equal importance throughout. It begins with few colleagues working on a six years old murder mystery of Princess Avni of Goner Royal family in Rajasthan. She was the only living member of the family. She was supposed to be coronated the very next day of her death. She would be inheriting kuldevi trust, and properties and many more.
So her case kept heating the track and evoking interest In flipping the pages forward. As who would be benefited after her death? Suspects and suspence run parallel. The author has creatively drafted the entangled investigation scenes where there are ten riddles with tinch of mythology and also old traditional cultures of sacrifices.
This novel is amazingly wrapped in secrets and loaded with thrills. The entry of Prithvi adds doses of excitement in this track with the revelation of layers of mystery. An fantastically woven novel with a breath taking ending which i never expected. It's among one of my favourites now..
Book Title: The Tenth Riddle Author: Sapan Saxena Publisher: Locksley Hall Publishing LLP Format: Paperback Language: English Genre: Mystery Pages: 274 Book Rating: 4.5/5
A murder mystery is always my first choice. I grew up reading famous detective stories of Feluda, Byomkesh. If the mystery can be solved by cracking some riddles based on Hindu goddesses then there is no chance to ignore the story. This book is enough to instil the same flavour in readers' minds.
Three friends, a local politician Shakti Sinha, Deputy Director of IB Shoumik Haldar and best-selling author Ishan Vajpayee, take up a case forced by the NWC to solve the six-year-old murder of a princess named Avni Saraswat of Saraswat family at Goner in Rajasthan. She is found dead in one of the guest rooms of the famous Kuldevi temple. Avni, an asthma patient, is murdered on her 21st birthday when she was to inherit two havelis along with some ancestral land and the head of the Kuldevi Temple Trust. From that day, her childhood friend Isha also vanished. In their mission, they learn a prophecy made up of 10 riddles. They are based on the historical implications of the Hindu goddess. Will they be able to solve the matter? What are the riddles about? Where has Isha vanished? All the answers in the book.
The story is very interesting. Language is simple and intriguing. The cover and title of the book are both catchy. Though the story is long but can't seem boring just because of the thrilling plot. Readers will surely love the novel as it has historical, mystical and informative elements.
“A writer is someone who can make a riddle out of an answer”
Title/ Cover –
The title of the book got my attention in the first place. I pick this book up because of the title. The title sends the vibes of some mystery that is going to unfold in this book. One of the most important parts is that the title fits well with the novel and is a good read for people who are new to reading. It's a great read for people who love stories that are filled with imagination.
Storyline –
Mystery without solving any riddle is like taking the spices out of the dish and leaving it tasteless. The opening of the story is spectacular where it has showed that the girl was screaming for help. She made all the attempts to shout, she banged her fists on the heavy door till they hurt and started to bleed. She then remembered about her inhaler as she was running out of her breaths but her attempts failed as her lifeless body fell on the ground; the inhaler fell down and broke into pieces beside her lifeless body. Interesting isn’t it? Who was this girl? How did she end up in that room? All these questions gave birth to the mystery and riddle that need to be solved while digging deep in the book.
Conclusion – It is an interesting and intriguing story. The language used also is easy and lucid. The mystery is solved using the mythology of Hinduism which is quite a rare thing.
The tenth riddle by author Sapan Saxena is basically a very suspenseful and riveting murder mystery story with a very fascinating touch of hindu mythology.
So the story starts from three friends, Shakti Sinha, a local politician, Showik Haldar, Deputy director of IB and Ishan, a best selling author. The trio is catching up at Showik's office when National Commission for Women activist Naina Shukla comes to them and informs them that the matter pending for 6 years is yet to be resolved. The case is about the murder of a princess of the royal family of Goner, Rajasthan. She was dead the day she was coronated to become queen.
Three friends begin trying to solve a murder mystery that leads them to prophecy and riddle, it also leads to the secret that has taken many lives while protecting it. The mystery is solved using the mythology of Hinduism in this book. Most of the book was based on deities that Hinduism believes. What is behind the riddle and the murder of the princess? How the case solved using hindu mythology ? Seems interesting ? Yes it is, read out this book to know the answer !!
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This book has been written in a very detailed and clear manner. The author has done a beautiful job with this book. It is very interesting and intriguing. I loved everything about it.
What happens when generations old tradition takes a toxic turn? Greed overpowers righteousness and misogyny peaks? In the Tenth Riddle, Sapan Saxena weaves a tale of mysteries surrounding the secret of the Royal family of Goner. We see three friends- Showmik who's the chief of IB, Shakti who is an MLA in Rajasthan and Ishan who is a writer- trail their way throughout India and even Sri Lanka to solve the mystery of the death of Avni- the queen who died on the day of her coronation. Showmik is forced to look into the case of the death of Avni- the Princess Queen of Goner. Shakti and Ishan accompany him as Shakti is the MLA of the region. The quaint village of Goner has a dark side- it has a dismal sex ratio. All the unborn fetuses who die due to facial disfiguration are female. Is this somehow connected to the murder of the Queen? In addition to it, there are two lineages of royal families trying to get control over the temple of Goner where the princess is murdered. The trio find a clue that could show them the cause of Avni's death- it is a prophecy made of 10 riddles. They travel all over India visiting various shaktipeeths to solve the riddles. What happens in the end? Read the book to find out! My views: I loved the action scenes. They were very well written. The book is fast paced and keep you engrossed in it. It gives you a detailed peak into the female niche of Hindu myths. The twists and revelations are amazing! The only complaint I have is about the ease with which the trio vandalize the temples and get away with it... It is almost comical that 2 highly placed government servants and a famous writer getaway with pulling a fake fire alarm. My ratings: 4/5. It is a great read, all mythology nuts will enjoy it!
The princess who was yet to be crowned a queen suddenly dies under mysterious circumstances. No one knows why, but after about 6 years a local politician, a bestselling author and an investigating officer join hands and set out to solve one of the biggest historical secrets of all time. The Tenth Riddle by Sapan Saxena is an engrossing read with mythological and suspense thrown in! These three friends embark on a journey when they find a paper which has 10 riddles, each taking them through the length and breadth of the country with an elaboration of sacred feminism of Hindu mythology. Though a little bit slow paced in between because of they mythological facts and figures, the book does keep you glued as to what will happen next. The riddles presented are mind boggling and are interesting as well. Like many suspense novels, where you do guess about what may happen next or who could be the suspect, this novel has interesting twists and turns along with a good ending. The book also has an interesting message when it comes to morality rate of our country. How a girl child is always uninvited and the need for a boy child is on the rise. All in all except for a slow pace in between, this book makes for an interesting read.
The Tenth Riddle by Sapan Saxena is a saga of crime, mystery and drama with lot of secrets to be unrevealed. Thrillers have always been my favorite genre. I picked this for the intriguing blurb. The story revolves around Avni a princess, belonging to the Saraswat family of Goner in Rajasthan. On her 21st birthday, she is all set to inherit 2 havelis along with the post of chief head to the Kuldevi Temple Trust. But she is found dead, mysteriously in the temple guest room. Who murdered her and why ? Has to be known by reading the book.
The plot has been well planned and researched the riddlesthat help solving the crime are well thought of. I liked the way the author has interestingly named the chapters. The narration is good and the description of places is detailed which gives a clear picture. The characters are placed well.
Although the plot is gripping, I felt a bit confused at some places. Some grammatical errors are found which can be set right by another round of proofreading. Overall a good engrossing unputdownable read.
This story comes under thriller genre and it's pivoted around a princess who once dies mysteriously after she has been crowned the queen. Now question arises what was the reason behind her death back then? Did she die of any disease or was she simply murdered? Now a situation comes to light where an array of secrets hidden by her family can be cleared out finally. To solve this enigmatic conspiracy behind this case three different people come together. They all have different professions, background and contrasting personalities. One is the local politician, the second one is an investigating officoer and the third one is a bestselling author. Together they rode the roller coaster ride into solving this historical case where many ancient secrets are hidding under the darkness of mystery surrounding around them.
There is a prophecy that also comes to light made of ten enigmatic riddles. It is winded up with a mind-boggling secret of the murder linked to hindu mythology and feminism. How will they solve it? It's a thrilling journey of them in the dark to bring the truth to the light.
'The Tenth Riddle', is a driving and rawly expressed thrilling novel. The story surrounds a murder mystery encircling the characters - Shoumik, Ishaan and Shakti. Six years ago, the Princess of Goner - Avni was found dead in Kuldevi temple. Now, in the present time the trio - Shoumik, Ishaan and Shakti are all set to fathom out the case. As they dig deeper into the case, they find some unexpected truths and discover the prophecies of the ten riddles that surrounds the case.
The story had a perfect blend of mythology and thriller. With simple writing, the author roots out with varied ill ancient practices which took place in our country. Overall, it was a riveting read, and I recommend it to readers, if you're seeking for a good thriller.
The Princess of Goner dies in mysterious circumstances while her killer is absconding. Why was she killed the very night she became the queen? What was the secret her family was hiding? A local politician, a bestselling author and an investigating officer join hands and set on a course to solve one of the biggest historical secrets of all times as they try to unlock a daunting ancient mystery, piece by piece. Thriller and suspense mixed in with a gripping plot and remarkable characters make this book interesting to read and experience. I especially loved the aspect of mythology that was shown. It rendered a very unique and magical air to the plot. And the whole play of secrets, prophecies, riddles and drama was amazing. The narrative was simple and understandable with smooth flow. I really liked this book and recommend it to those into thrillers and mythology.
The story begins from three friends, a local politician Shakti Sinha, Deputy Director of IB Shoumik Haldar and best-selling author Ishan Vajpayee, take up a case forced by the NWC to solve the six-year-old murder of a princess named Avni Saraswat of Saraswat family at Goner in Rajasthan.
The story is filled with thrill as she is found dead in one of the guest rooms of the famous Kuldevi temple. Avni, an asthma patient, is murdered on her 21st birthday when she was to inherit two havelis along with some ancestral land and the head of the Kuldevi Temple Trust.
The story gets more twists and turns from here on. From that day, her childhood friend Isha also vanished. In their mission, they learn a prophecy made up of 10 riddles. They are based on the historical implications of the Hindu goddess. Will they be able to solve the matter? What are the riddles about? Where has Isha vanished? All the answers in the book.
I can say this book is a combination of my favourite genres. The book revolves around a murder of Princess Avni who has been before 6years but the case came to the light of IB Chief Shoumik Haldar. To know more about it Shoumik left with his friends Shakti and Ishaan. Ishaan, an intelligent writer and Shakti a political leader with a sharp mind. They met with Rachit Kapadia and Kirti who played important rule in solving the case. Kirti is a sharp lady who is ready with everything to help them to solve the case. After meticulously observing the Haveli Shoumik got a secret in Saraswat's room. The secret contain riddles which may be saved the princess' life but Saraswat can't solve the riddles so Avni has to die.
But who is responsible for Avni's death? Will Shoumik solve the riddles? Is the case that simple? What is tenth riddle? What a read it is. I must say I am totally involved in the sequences while reading it. A book which will take us to the history of Jaipur, the gupta empire and Kushan Empire. These empires had great impact on our history and the intelligence of the empires is been described so hideously. The intelligence is connected to the female deity which has been protecting our country from years. The secrets behind the shakti peeths and the power of female deity. The taboo behind female foeticide is immensely cut down by the book. I have learnt so many things about our history and about shakti peeths from this book more than i have learnt from my school. Just loved everything of the book. I can't describe more about the book. The more I say the more this book will loose it's charm. If you are a lover of suspense, thriller, mythology and history also then grab it.

"The Tenth Riddle" by Sapna Saxena is a terrific crime thriller. This book is a blend of Fiction, History, Mythology, and Murder Mystery. The plots start with Avni, Princess of Goner dying mysteriously, the day she became Queen. Shoumik, an IB Officer along with his two friends, Shakti, a local politician and Ishan, a bestselling author starts investigating the case of the Princess. In the course of the investigation, they came across a prophecy formed with ten riddles. The riddle if solved will tell them the motive for which the queen has to die which will eventually help them to find the killer. 🔺To start things off, many times throughout the book it felt a bit slow. I found myself trying to read a part of the book, hoping that something invigorating will happen, but it is an inactive burn read with detailing. Following that, sometimes things felt the contrary and felt surged. In some cases of the book, I felt like some conspiracy reveals were not where they were presumed to be. It was something out of the blue that would come at me. But otherwise, there's nothing else that unnerves me.

🔺The way that the characters interact with the world around them and overcome the problems and struggles put before they draw you in, and the dynamic between the characters themselves is also amazing. Love it. This one is a good action-packed thriller in subtler tones

✨As the book contained hindu mythology and thrilling plot, it grabbed my attention from the start. It kept giving me surprises as i read it more and more. There were also few parts which showed feminism during ancient times of Gods.
✨The story was fast paced with rich vocabulary. Each and every character had a detailed description which was interesting. The plot of book was intriguing and will keep you going from the start.
✨At the starting, it may seem confusing with so many characters and different scenes but as the story followed, the plot of story became very cleared. The cover and title were the ones which attracted me at first place.
✨The book is recommended to all crime, mystery and mythology lovers. It covers it all. It will be a full packed thrilling experience within 200 pages. It is not recommended to beginners as it may seem boring and confusing for them. Overall it was a great read for me.
The Tenth Riddle is one of its own kind of book. In contemporary culture, Indian fiction writers majorly focused on the male component of Hindu scriptures.
Sapan in his book broke this stigma and wrote a beautiful story about the female Goddess and the shakti tradition. He also subtly introduced 2nd layer of the story around the malpractice of killing unborn girls in India.
I will not delve deep into the story but I would like to mention a few things to intrigue the readers. -Story right away starts with a murder mystery. -Mystery revolves around many forms of Goddess Parvati and the prophecy -Story will take you on a mystical trip to India to find clues and trails. It covers lots of unknown aspects of Shakti tradition. -Just like Sapan's last novel, I again fell in love with the way he name each chapter and revolve the plot around the same theme.
Special applause for Sapan for his extensive research on shakti tradition and its connection with the Kushan & Gupta periods. The historical importance was the key to unlocking the iconography and metaphysical concepts. How Sapan blended the historical and spiritual strings is uncanny and fresh.
I read his previous works too but "The Tenth Riddle" came out with a higher dimension of storytelling and facts & fiction cohesion.
Sapan really evolved as a seasoned writer bringing out super awesome facts from the ancients roots of Indian belief systems.
