I really enjoyed this one. It was such a quick read, I literally read it in one afternoon! I loved that this story showcased two strong female characters. They were similar yet very different. I don't want to spoil anything, just give it a read!

Two women. One driven by selfish desire, the other by selfless love.

The moment psychologist Brittany Ann Thornton thinks she has her life all dialed in, her perfect little family falls apart and the FBI seizes all her assets. Trouble follows her from Seattle to Paris to the south of France where Viane Thibaudet, darling of a quaint hilltop town in Provence, has been getting away with murder. But when she attempts to poison her husband, Brittany steps up to stop her.
Our Review: And so begins an exciting romp through France for a woman trying her best to regain a firm hold on both life and her professional future. The fates have other ideas and toss a few wrenches into the works in the forms of a lying, cheating spouse, an ambivalent graduate advisor, the typical rebellious teenage daughter, and a nasty adolescent serial killer. But those are only cracks in the sidewalk of life when it comes to Brit surviving the machinations of a woman who wears two faces.
Author Dunn follows Murder Unrehearsed, her first thriller for the Wild Rose Press, with a tightly written, interesting murder-suspense set in the luscious south of France with a cast of well-drawn, layered characters, a gutsy heroine and a really nasty bad guy.
On a scale of 1-5, Murder Undetected deserves a 7.

On the eve of a planned vacation to the south of France, Brittany Thornton, a newly-minted doctor of psychology and expert on how to detect when someone is lying, discovers that even she can fall victim to deceit. Her husband has not only been sleeping with the girl next door but has been committing Medicare fraud and is hiding two-and-a-half million dollars in ill-gotten gains that the government would very much like back. Once in France, things do not get better for our heroine as she is the only hope to thwart a wily and ambitious restauranteur who will stop at nothing, even murder, to get what she wants. And back home a young serial killer has targeted Brittany and if he can’t get to her…well, there is her daughter.

Murder Undetected is a delight. Dunn weaves a cross-continental tale that combines mystery, romance, and suspense into a potent cocktail. She masterfully paints scenes that envelope the reader taking us from a cozy sitting room in a farmhouse in Provence (where winter’s mistral winds whistle without) to the darkness of a dank cellar that might also come to double as a tomb. With lively, engaging characters and a plot that carries us with a sure hand to a slam-bang ending, it’s an unforgettable journey.

After her husband runs off with the girl next door, psychologist Britt Thornton decides to blow off some steam by accompanying her friend Arielle to France where Arielle is planning on purchasing a cheese shop.

Once in France, Britt immediately realizes her accounts have been frozen. Not only has her husband been unfaithful, he’s been embezzling funds and is now being tracked down by the FBI. They also track Britt down overseas.

Viane Thibaudet is a young, ambitious chef whose great aims lay far beyond her town of Chevalier. She wants to buy a restaurant in Paris with her husband’s money, only Jean-Luc isn’t willing to do it.

When Jean-Luc collapses after eating something his wife made for him, Britt is there to give him CPR. It is after all Viane’s cheese shop her friend Arielle is trying to buy.

The premise really intrigued me, but there was just something incredible in the various plots and the way the various aspects played out. I just struggled to relate to the cast of characters within each of their roles, perhaps because they came across as a little one-dimensional. So sadly, this one just wasn't for me - not my cup of tea.

With thanks to #Netgalley, Wild Roses Press and the author for my Advance Reader Copy in exchange for an honest review.

A stellar whodunnit mystery that takes you on a twisty ride all the way to France. I was enthralled from the beginning and captivated by the author’s brilliant imagery and setting. The characters were well developed and the mystery kept me guessing. I felt like I was taking the journey with the characters and experiencing the sights, sounds and smells of France. Highly recommend!
