The Babylon Deception

Rate this book
A simple business trip from Las Vegas to San Francisco gets complicated by fires, drug pushers, and neo-Nazis. Did we mention street gangs, plutonium, and gold bars? It's another heartwarming episode in the lives of our two favorite wise guys, Nick and Jimmy, who made it through with only a few scratches in Disappearing A Las Vegas Love Story, Sort of..., the first book in the Wise Guys You'll Love If You Know What's Good For You series.

The clever layout of the novel took me by surprise. Layer after layer of plot peels back as clues and foreshadowing offer more questions than answers. Wiseguy-bumbling Nick and Jimmy are Vegas casino owners tasked with ordering pool tables and settling a house sale in California. Woven into these simple tasks are unexpected missteps that tie scenes together seamlessly to a satisfying climax. Humor is subtle, action is wide, and reader satisfaction is 5-star.

Nick & Jimmy are back and better than ever!! Follow these two lovable Wise Guys to San Francisco on an adventure they'll never forget. Mr. Pace keeps the action going and the dialog fun. I laughed out loud several times. Can't wait for the next one!

Nick and Jimmy are 'fixers' for a casino in Vegas whose owners live in Chicago. An innocuous trip for their casino bosses to SF to check out a mansion with a checkered past leads to all kinds of problems. High interest with some intrigue. You might even like these two.
