She started her career 10 years ago and she has been thriving in the romantic comedies. She’s America Sweetheart,… but despite her efforts Nova’s life is lacking.
Try as she may, love never seems to be something that blossoms out of her fake/contract relationships… actually Nova haven’t been in a real relationship in 10 years. All her relationships have been contracts to boost her career… and still Nova can’t seem to escape her partners, not only not falling for her, but cheating on her and making a look bad in the media.

I loved the book.
The characters are so relatable. Nova is so cute and “a walking disaster “ when Kade is near. And Kade is such a good hero and the perfect gentleman.
“I too have a hair and makeup person. His name is Austin, and he’s transformed me from a bonafide bad boy to a highly processed, artificially flavored, high fructose corn syrup bad boy.”
This book also made me think, a lot, about celebrities and their contractual relationships.
I had already heard of, but never actually thought about the subject or wonder if a certain celeb couple where pr or not… Now, with all the fabricated scenes the author wrote about our two main characters, it makes me wonder.
“With my baggage, women never stick around long. After trying for too long to find the right one, I gave up looking for and started taking home randoms from bars. Women I would never use the Savage Special on.”
“What do you give them? The Savage Discount Value Meal?”
The one thing I didn’t liked and it’s also the reason why I won’t rate this book 5 stars, is that everything went wrong for the couple. Every single thing. There wasn’t one time they went out that they didn’t had a misshapen. At first I thought it was funny, but then the last one… it was just one to many and that bothered me.

Very good romantic comedy

It's an excellent romantic comedy, at the same time tender, hot, with funny situations, reversals, all in a difficult film industry for young actresses and in particular so that they can keep a good reputation and that they can get different roles. However, Nova's problem is very Hollywood: she has always been cheated by her exes, famous actors, and to change her reputation as a looser, her brother calls on Kade, one of his former best friends with whom they had no more contact after an accident. He is giving himself a breath of financial air and she is building a new image for herself.
This fake relationship story is more complex than it might seem, and I really liked the hints of humor that dot Kade and Nova's story.

Nova and Kade will take you on one wild emotional journey. She's a Hollywood super star and he's the ultimate bad boy who comes to her rescue after she is jilted and her reputation is at risk. He's her brother's friend who agrees to a fake relationship to boost her image. The book is humorous and fun to read. Their relationship might be fake but it doesn't take it long to become real. The characters are fun and likable and the story line has some twists and comical moments. A good read that I read as a complimentary copy and voluntarily chose to review.

Overall I liked this book. Nova is an actress and her love life is failing. Kade is hired to be her fake boyfriend. Of course by the end what was fake becomes real.

I absolutely loved the first person point of view of the story. This is always a huge deal breaker for me. This was another win from this author. I really like her stories and this one pulled me in as well. I couldn't put it down.

October 13, 2021Lark Anderson has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Nova and Kade. Nova had a crush on Kade when they were in school. But something happened with her brother Andy and Kade disappeared from their lives. Nova is an actress now and she has just been cheated on by her contract boyfriend. She now needs a boyfriend that will not cheat on her to clean up her image. Andy thinks that Kade would be the perfect one to help her. Kade lost everything that was important to him. His life had not been easy since. Kade is working construction and the client's wife put the moves on him. He turned the woman down and she gets mad. She goes and tells her husband a bunch of lies about Kade. When Kade gets back to the office, Mike, his boss tells him that the client called and wants him fired for what happened between Kade and his wife. Kade tells Mike that he didn't do anything the wife had said he did but Mike said he had to let him go. Kade had gotten a text message from Andy, his old friend and when he gets out to his truck, he re-reads it. Andy tells him that he has a proposition for him. Kade sends back a reply saying he didn't think so. Andy calls Kade and tells him what is needed. While Kade is on the phone with Andy, Mike comes out and tells him that he needed the keys to the truck since he no longer works for the company, he can't drive it. At this, Kade decides to take what Andy offers. Andy tells him that he has a plane ticket ready for him and his flight leaves in two hours. When Nova goes to the airport to pick Kade up, things don't go well. When they get out to the car, Colleen, Nova's assistant has papers for Kade to sign. Kade is introduced to Jax, Nova's publicist. The one who is going to set up everything they do. Nova is a little nervous around Kade. The more time she spends with Kade, the more her old feelings come back. She tells herself that to him it is just a job and she can't let things get in the way of her career. After a few dates, she is told that she needs to have some alone time with Kade to get more comfortable with him. Nova and Kade are in her apartment and they are going to practice kissing to make it look more natural. Nova gets heated after the kiss. After every date, the news is good. Jax has planned for her and Kade to go on a vacation to the Caribbean and he has planned a balcony scene for the paparazzi. Things with that scene go further than expected and Andy gets mad over it. This causes Kade to go home. He had hoped that enough time had passed that he could get back what he had with Andy. Everything he had been through with Nova and Andy, this was how it was going to end. After Kade leaves, everyone has Nova going out with different contract dates. She is not happy and everyone knows it. It has been three months since Nove had seen Kade and she finds out that he has not cashed any of the checks he had been sent. She sends Andy a text telling him that she didn't know what happened between the two of them but he needed to make sure that Kade got paid. He needed to go home and make it happen. Andy goes to talk to Kade and he tells him that he plans to come clean with what happened with the accident. Kade doesn't want him to do it if it would cause Nova any trouble or pain. Andy tells him that she can handle it. Andy tells him to give him two weeks and be ready. Jax and Colleen have her dating Martin and she is not happy about it. They have him going with her on the interview she has. On the day of the interview, Andy goes up to Martin and tells him his contract is over and he is no longer needed. Martin tries to argue with Andy but Andy tells him that he messed up when he slept with another woman a few nights before. Nova is not upset to be going on the interview by herself. When her part of the interview is over, the host brings out Andy. This is where he tells everyone about his part in the car accident he and Kade were in ten years before. He tells everyone how it was him that was driving and how his father paid Kade's mother's medical bills to take the blame. Nova didn't know any of this and is totally shocked to learn the truth. Nova has taken on a project as a producer and she is getting ready to work with the extras on the set. She sees one man and it turns out to be Kade. She is shocked to see him there. She tells him that they need to talk. She said that he could go to her office and wait on her while she finished up what she had to do. When she gets to her office, Kade doesn't give her a chance to say anything as he backs her up against the door and kissed her. They make out in her office and are caught by the director and he gets mad at Nova. He tells her that she can leave his set. She tells him that she saved the movie by pouring money into it. They get news that the actor that was supposed to play the lead part had been hit by a golf cart and was now in the hospital. They had no one else to take his place. Nova goes into overdrive to get things done since she has an idea. Her replacement for the part is Kade.
Can Nova and Kade make a go of things after everything they have been through?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

I could not put this book down it was captivating from the moment I started reading it until I finished it.
Nova's a big time actress and has been for sometime now. She needs to change up her image, she can't look like the worlds most desperate woman and get work in Hollywood.
Kade is still living in his hometown, because of some of the choices he's made. His career isn't going well and he's struggling financially.

When he gets the chance to be Nova's fake boyfriend, he's at his wits end and has no choice, so he takes the job. Maybe this will finally turn his life around.
Nova and Kade knew each other when they were kids and then were separated for a long time, so when it they get back together they're two very grown up people.
There is instant chemistry between the two and it's undeniable. I loved the way that they got to know each other and had real conversations.
Kade is such a sweetheart, he's kind and funny and takes Nova out of herself for a bit and everyone can see how much happier she is.
Nova is like a balm for Kade, he's been through a lot and has had a tough time. He's finally able to open up and be himself around Nova.
These two were perfect for each other and I just wanted to keep reading about their interactions with one another.

Nova, 28, is an actress who has gained a reputation as being undesirable when her ex’s cheat on her, so her agent is trying to hire someone to pretend to be her boyfriend. Her brother suggests that she hire Kade Savage, his childhood friend that had been responsible for a bad accident and he had not seen in the 10 years since then. Nova had a crush on bad boy Kade in high school but hated him now because he had almost killed her brother, but she agreed. Kade had just unfairly lost his job and was struggling to make ends meet so when her brother called he agreed to be the pretend boyfriend as Redemption. When Nova and Kade have scripted encounters, funny incidents often seem to occur and they end up flirting and grow closer but Nova can’t forget the past. Will they be able to overcome his past when the truth is revealed and can they find happiness together?
I enjoyed this story where a childhood crush who had become an enemy reappears in Nova’s life. They become closer but part again until the dramatic truth comes out. There were funny incidents on their scripted dates and serious family moments that made this story enjoyable. The epilogue was a great ending for their story.

I really enjoyed reading, Savage Redemption by Lark Anderson because it was a romantic comedy about Nova and Kade. Nova was movie star who had bad luck with relationships and her latest disaster was tanking her career. Plan was to hire someone who could fake portray a relationship and make her popularity and ratings increase. Enter Kade who Nova had a serious crush on in high school, but due to something horrible happening in the past, never saw him again until 10 years later. This was a romantic comedy which I loved reading. It has had a bit of drama in it as well. Loved the characters, Nova was a hoot. She was very funny and her inner dialogue was great. Kade was awesome as well. He played his part so well. It was hard to tell which was fake and which was real with the relationship. I would highly recommend reading this story. I received a free book and am voluntarily choosing to leave a review. Great romantic comedy!!

This was such a good page turner. Kade truly was a hero, saving everyone, even years ago when he took the blame for an accident to save his best friend, Andy, who was driving. Paid to take the fall by Andy's father he did not reconnect with the family until he was called upon by Andy's sister to be her fake boyfriend to support & raise her rankings as an actress. Their attraction rekindled & there was no need to fake what was happening, holy guacamole, hot! Andy lost the plot when things got hot & heavy on set between the couple & the Kade returned home, never cashing any of the cheques he received for the fake relationship. When he learns that he had been the driver Andy feels ashamed & remorseful & tracks his friend down to apologise. Is it too little too late? Can the heartbroken couple get a second chance? I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Nova Ellis is an A-list actress who is falling down the list due to her latest boyfriend cheating on her. Her team comes up with an idea to get her career back on track. She needs to date a bad boy. Her brother Andy suggests their old friend, Kade Savage. Kade was Andy’s best friend and Nova’s first crush. Nova had asked Kade to be her prom date. After a life-changing accident with Andy when Nova was 18, Kade leaves their lives. Nova became an actress after meeting an actor whose father was in the hospital at the same time as Andy. Kade agrees to help Nova. They fall in love during their dates, but neither of them believes the other person loves them. There is a misunderstanding and Kade leaves. You have to read the book to see if they get their HEA. I enjoyed the characters and the writing. I highly recommend this book.

I couldn’t put SAVAGE REDEMPTION down once I started reading it. Everything in Hollywood is questionable in its veracity, but Kade Savage was one of the only true, honest things in this story.
It all seemed so contrived - the orchestrations of a contracted (read fake) relationship for the movie star Nova. No outrage over the gimmicks or scripted encounters - until Nova’s brother Andy recruited old friend Kade to be the fake boyfriend.
The history between Andy and Kade was a driving force in the redemption part of the story, in how Nova received and responded to her high school crush Kade appearing in her life after 10 years, and in how Kade’s life had played out up to that point.
There is plenty of surprises, some pining, and a somewhat jaded look at some of the trappings of fame. The secondary characters were colorful and memorable on top of a decent story.

Wow, such a feel good book!!
Nova, a Hollywood actress needed a fake boyfriend and Kade is chosen to play the part.
So good. I loved the alpha, hot rough guy Kade is, and how he was with Nova. Their chemistry just shone in this book and I loved the dialogue. Especially that balcony scene.
Lark writes fascinating stories that take you on a journey with the characters and this certainly was one of those. The characters all played a part, and gives you a feeling of what it would be like to be a star with all the staff pulling you this way and that. Not to mention all the media hype.
So well written, I just loved the story and it dragged me in. Great great book!

So her team get together and with her brothers suggestion they hire an old frienenemy, Kade Savage to be her bad boy sexy date. And boy is he ever. Kade has just lost his job and when Nova's brother offers him redemption from a past mistake he can not say no. This couple is hot together. Their chemistry is off the charts. This is such a well written book and you are constantly rooting for this couple to be together. It has everything a romance needs, laughter, tears, great sex and you're cheering them on for that HEA. Loved this book, awesome read

This is book 4 in Anderson's Savage in Love series and another amazing addition to this series. Our main characters are Nova and Kade. Nova is a Hollywood actress and fails at love, her latest attempt is wreaking havoc with her career. Enter Kade, the playboy, bad boy hired to be her fake boyfriend. Only, we all know how these romance reads go...it's the getting there that's the fun and Anderson delivers in a big way with this read. Great characters, smooth flowing storyline with twists and turns as well as a great balance with sweet and steam. This book is another winner for me, and I can't wait for more from Anderson!

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Nova is an actress wanting to adjust her image. Those closest to her have suggestions. Kade is pretty much the opposite of her image and was part of her past. Nova is a past regret for Kade. Things did not end well for them when they were younger. Somehow fate gives them another chance, even if it begins as a fake one. Their attraction was still strong and undeniable. The story has plenty of humor and steam but also a lot of emotion. I thought the characters were great

A really good story! Life isn’t always smooth or easy. Mistakes are made and can’t be changed, but sometimes you can move past them. Nova seemed to be the quintessential actress trying to move from rom-coms to more dramatic roles - her PR team setting her up with fake, contract dates to change her image. I realize that that is probably a real concern but it seemed to highlight the fakeness of her “real” life. Enter Kade - a real man from her past, hired to play a fake boyfriend but who inspires and ignites real feelings. Loved the twists and turns!

As soon as I started reading Savage Redemption I was drawn right into the middle of all that was happening and couldn't put the book down until I read the last word with characters you feel like you know and root for and a great story that had all the feels. I loved the undeniable chemistry between American sweetheart actress Nova Ellis and Kade Savage, a boy from her past who she needs to pretend to be her bad boy boyfriend to boost her career. She’s Hollywood royalty but her reputation is taking a beating due to some poor relationship choices. He’s the bad boy from back home who’s been picked to save the day and improve her reputation by being her fake boyfriend. Fun and games ensue and the relationship soon becomes not so fake anymore. Two people down on their luck and with bad history are pushed to help each other out and I really asked myself is being rich and famous worth letting other people run your life? Kade and Nova are pretty decent characters but I just hated, how everybody bossed them around without considering their feelings - time to stand up for yourselves, guys!

However, when everything becomes a little too real and it may be having the opposite effects on her career. She has to decide if she is willing to risk it all for love. This was a really good read.

My favorite in the series so far. I was drawn into both characters right from the start. They grabbed my attention and wouldn't let go.
I love a story that laughs at itself a bit and has humour laced throughout. Hello Robo-peen!!!
Lark created a fantastic,well written and entertaining story with these two. Watching them come together was wonderful!

3 1/2 Stars. Nova, a actress, needs some good romantic press. Her brother's old friend gets called in to act as her boyfriend. While they put on a show for the press, each tries to figure out if the other one has real feelings for them, or if it's all an act. It's well written and edited, but for me just an OK read.

The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Nova, Kade and her brother/his friend, Andy. The heartwarming story keeps us turning the pages with a fake relationship, humor, connection, revelations and steam.
