There’s a saying that goes ’when it rains, it pours!’
The entire kingdom of Athenai is still on the hunt for the traitor who murdered the legendary King of Athenai, Roman’s father only to vanish into thin air. In the wake of the betrayal, Roman is thrust headfirst into the role of Monarch immediately after his coronation and wedding ceremony to the feisty, headstrong woman who has captured his heart fully and irrevocably.
Fending off attacks from all sides, Roman finds solace in the arms of his new bride; Melina Crane. Only Melina has her own demons to hunt down; finding out the identity of her birth parents has become her one obsession.
A wave of a mysterious illness sweeps the demesnes, requiring both parties to halt their personal quests in the bid to save the land of Ethereals. In the midst of this embroilment, a strange premonition comes out. Melina has to be impregnated to save the Land of Ethereals and the only way to do that is to become a vampire.
To make matters even worse, Melina’s investigation into her past awakens a great evil that comes knocking on her doorstep. Loyalties are tested in the storm that is beginning to stir.
Do they really have what it takes to fight off this imminent threat? The mettle to stay afloat the tumultuous tide?
Emma Night has always had a flare for writing about paranormal fantasy. She fell in love with vampires at a very young age and her love grew to include Sci Fi Fantasy Romance.
Emma Night’s second book in her ‘Vampires of the Underworld’ series is burning its way up the charts. This paranormal romance is full dramatic suspense. Roman and Melina, the main characters, have just had life changing events happen. Roman’s father, the King, has been murdered. There’s a coronation to announce Roman’s ascension to the throne along with his wedding to Melina. Roman is determined to find the person responsible for killing his father while Melina is desperately trying to find her parents. This is an exciting adventurous story that is hard to put down. As a warning it ends in a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read the next book. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!
This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of Infernal by Emma Night, the second book in the Vampires of the Underworld series. This story picks up right after the vents in book one (Chosen One) and beats a quick path to trouble for Roman and Melina. A quick read that leads to a cliff hanger set up for what should be the last book in this series, there was a lot packed into this read. This series must be read in series order.
This honest and voluntary review was made possible by reading a copy through Booksprout.
Infernal is book two of the Vampires of the Underworld and it picked up from where book one left off. He's determined to find out who killed his father and she wants to find out about her parents. There's a lot going on in this book as Roman and Melina each have their own agenda but they also have to deal with enemies. This is a quick read packed with enemies, danger, mystery, suspense, romance, and paranormal twists. And after that cliffhanger ending I am ready for the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
The second book in the Vampires of the Underworld series a well written short story that kept me turning pages. Roman and Melina's story continues. It ends on a cliff-hanger,I want to read the next book. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was a bit confused for a minute, but the end of this one was the major plot twist that you just don't see coming at all. I enjoyed the story, and now I need the next one to get this all sorted out.
This could be a great story. The ideas are there but it is like the beginning is there and the end but the middle and development of the story is missing.
