Sometimes the perfect Christmas is only a daddy away.
Omega Noah’s first Christmas since losing his husband is looming, and everyone wants to help the poor widower. His neighbors invited him over, his family invited him over, even his ex’s best friend invited him over. Being around people who all pity him is the last way he wants to spend the holidays, so he does what any omega would do. He thinks up a story and he thinks it up quick. How would they know he isn’t really spending his vacation in the mountains and hiding at home? It’s the perfect plan until his brother asks to crash at his place since he’ll be gone. Now, he has no choice but to find that mountainside getaway after all.
Alpha Cruz’s budget is busted when the family renting his cabin for the month of December backs out at the last minute. Scrambling to fill the space, he places an ad on a social media site and hopes for the best. Less than five minutes later, he has a renter, one whose profile both intrigues and saddens him. The poor omega lost his husband a year ago on Christmas in a horrible accident. When the man can’t afford the rent and thanks him anyway, he does the only thing he can do and offers a discount. There’s just something about the sorrow in the man's eyes.
When the two of them meet, sparks fly, but Cruz knows better than to get involved with a client. He will just give the omega the best week he can. The plan is good and goes well, until mother nature comes in with a vengeance and they find themselves snowed in. More than just the fireplace heats up as the two get to know each other and feelings begin to bloom.
Lorelei M. Hart is the cowriting team of USA Today Bestselling Authors Kate Richards and Ever Coming. Friends for years, the duo decided to come together and write one of their favorite guilty pleasures: Mpreg.
Noah is an Omega who has lost his husband. He is too sad and feels miserable. It’s Christmas and he wants to avoid everybody be it family, friends, or even neighbors. He decides to spend his vacation alone in the mountains hiding from everybody. The cabin that he reserves is rented by an alpha man called Cruz. When the two of them meet, beautiful chemistry is formed and things start to change for the omega.
This was a sweet alpha/omega and Mpreg story. Both the characters are likable and the storyline is simple and romantic. You get a happy ending as well. I picked it up as it is suitable for Christmas. If you are looking for a cute holiday romantic tale that involves two men then this one might be a good choice. There is not much tension building or complexity in the story which makes it a relaxing one. Two things I have to mention here though. The heat level is not as high as I liked it to be. I wish the romantic scenes were a bit more intense. The other thing I can’t digest is the omega feeling terrible about his deceased husband and later a conflicting thing in the middle of the story is revealed about their relationship which makes his earlier sad status not fully understandable. Other than that this was a sweet read. I loved the Mpreg part of it.
Tropes and Elements: - Snowed in together - Christmas magic - Instalove - Nonshifter omegaverse - Mpreg
This book is so … okay? Like the most okayest thing, really. Forgettable.
This is on its surface a sweet, fluffy instalove Christmas omegaverse book. That part is cool. Both of these authors are new to me and I was disappointed by the sex scenes. Short, not quite fade to black but not detailed either. The build up made the intentions to seem more than that but it did not happen.
This book also has two problems that weren’t necessary to the plot. One - vilifying the omega’s dead husband as to justify the new relationship. Unnecessary. Two - magic dick syndrome. So meeting a guy a couple of weeks ago cured your depression and processing of grief? You just suddenly stopped having any grief at all for such a long relationship because of this? Like wtf.
Also, it has daddy in the title but there is no daddy kink if you expected to be. Of course not just the word should indicate it but I sorta had some expectations. Nope, didn’t happen.
Other than that, I found myself skimming a lot. I don’t know if this is in the influence of Grace or Hart so I’ll try another Hart book and see how it goes.
Waiting For Daddy Christmas By Lorelei M Hart & Aria Grace
Omega Noah lost his Alpha husband, Steven, 8 months ago in an accident. This is his first Christmas alone since his passing and he needs an escape from his family and friends who keep giving him pity invites for dinners and parties. To escape a neighbors invite he fibs and says he rented a cabin in the mountain. After his neighbor jumps on it and asks if family can stay at his place while he's gone he really does have to find somewhere to stay.
Alpha Cruz has an unexpected cancelation for his cabin and puts up ads hoping it's not to late to find someone to rent it. When Noah calls but thanks him and declines after hearing the price Cruz hears the sadness in the man's voice and once he hears why Noah wanted to rent it he decides to give him a discount.
Cruz goes out of his way to cheer Noah up and help him remember the happiness of Christmas and not dwell on his sorrow.
I adored both Cruz and Noah. They were so sweet together. There was lots of Christmas romance and holiday activities. Loved the HEA too.
Side Note: Despite the book being titled 'Waiting For Daddy Christmas' there are no daddy/boy elements in it.
When I was in High School, for one of my English classes we had to write a short story and then submit it for publication to a magazine of our choice (this was the 1980s, back when people read magazines). I wrote some sci-fi nonsense called "Gotterdammerung of the Gods" which was as bad as the title suggests. My teacher gave me back my "short story," all two pages of it, and noted that there was nothing there. No character development, too much exposition, nothing which drove the plot forward, you get the picture.
Reading "Waiting for Daddy Christmas" gave me some serious deja vu about my shitty short story, but without the excuse that the authors had never written anything before and were just a teenager. I think this is seriously one of the worst books I have ever read. Everything happens lickety-split because there is precious little inner dialog even with dual POVs, just scenes moving from one thing to another. The visit of the two MCs to the daddy's parents for Christmas lasts just a couple pages, the authors deciding to just describe everything that happened instead of writing about what happened.
This is a perfect example of instalove that isn't written well at all, unlike H.L. Day's Five Night Stand (recently reviewed). The omega in this books is so quick to spread his legs and get knotted (yes, this is an mpreg book) by his alpha Daddy it made my head spin. They barely knew each other and it wasn't like they were just hooking up. Gah, this was terrible.
I have read a couple of mpreg books before and they're just a bit too ridiculous for me, so I'm to blame for reading this book, as it's not really my thing at all. But this is some seriously amateurish, juvenile shit. I'll give credit to the cute cover, but that's about all it has going for it.
This is a sweet little holiday short in a non-shifter omegaverse. Instalove at its finest. It wasn’t heart stopping spectacular, but I think it’d serve as a nice little holiday break when you want something sweet.
This was give-your-teeth-cavities sweet and not necessarily in a good way. But if you enjoy cheesy lines and overly sweet fluff without angst, then this is for you - it is an easy and quick read.
I didnt mind that this wasnt a kinky (at all) book, but If you are looking for a book about a Daddy and someone waiting for his Daddy, this is not it, dont get fooled by the name of the book. MC1 calls MC2 Daddy Christmas maybe three times in a non-sexual setting and the sex itself is bland and halfway fade to black.
Insta-everything.
I might've rated it three stars, if the story had been more fleshed out, as it is there's a lot of telling and not enough showing, the pacing felt a little off because of it. Overall a sweet lovestory - the beginning was really promising but the rest was disappointing.
This was a short quick by two authors that I love to read. Omega Noah is mourning the loss of his husband. His family and friends won't leave him alone this holiday season so he decides rent a cabin for some alone time. Alpha Cruz has just found out that his renters have backed out of renting his cabin. When he gets a call from Noah he hears the sadness in his voice Noah can't afford the asking price but he gives it to him at a discount. Thus was a pretty good read Noah needed a change. Cruz plans activities and they get to know one another and when a big snow storm has them stranded together things get hot and heavy. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.
What a beautiful sweet Christmas romance. I loved this one.
I was a little worried at first since Noah was grieving over the death of his husband. Would it be too soon for him to move on? Would it be difficult for Cruz to be in another alpha’s shadow? Could Noah give his heart to another?
This was instalove on steroids and I loved every bit of it. We had a widower, an alpha that had not been on a date, a dog that hugs, and a baby all made possible by Santa's magic.
It started out so well and then it just took off. So here’s your warning. This is an insta love story. Not that there’s anything wrong with them, and I do love them. I just hadn’t had my brain set on insta love, so when the I love yous and forevers came I was taken aback. Also even though it says daddy Christmas this is not a D/b story at all. All that being said if you take that in consideration this was a good Christmas book. Had the sweetness, the swooning, snow, tree decor and the HEA at the end.
It felt less like a romance novella and more like a romance speedrun. I can't believe how many milestones were hit, and also how predictable it was? It didn't feel super realistic. Go in with low expectations is all I can recommend.

This was a sweet story of how Noah and Cruz met and fell in love. I liked the Christmas activities and loved the involvement of the white tailed deer. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with MPREG.
Oh gosh, from the first chapter my heart literally ached for Noah. My greatest fear is losing my spouse (or kids), so Noah’s story hit me in all the feels from the start. I knew that for Noah to overcome his first love, Alpha Cruz needed to be someone special. And Cruz completely showed Noah what love is really supposed to be, thus giving Noah the chance to move on from his past.
This was a quick, heartfelt, insta holiday romance featuring a heartbroken omega, a lonely, hardworking alpha, and a giant, white Samoyed who loves to give hugs.
Filled with Christmas tree farms and sleigh rides and hot cocoa and popcorn garlands and magical experiences, I was whisked away to this wonderfully festive themed world. It left me feeling warm and cozy!
Now the smexy times were not quite fade to black but kinda so. It’s hard to explain. Like, you know what’s happening and the words are explicit, but there’s no details…maybe? I dunno, but the story was so quick and light and happy I was actually okay with it. 🤷🏻♀️
Cancelled Booking / Runaway Omega What a really sweet Christmas story! Surprisingly one of my first of the season. It was an excellent choice just the right amount of emotional angst but it concentrated on happy Christmas magical times for our MCs.
Wanting to be left alone during the holidays seems an impossible expectation. Everyone wanted the widowed Omega to spend Christmas with them. Something Noah was determined not to do. He ran away to an isolated resort cabin a few hours out of town. To seek the peace and quiet his soul longed for. He never expected the attraction he felt for the Alpha who was the owner and had booked his reservation. Luckily for him it was mutual.
The Alpha kept creating Christmas activities that they needed to do together. The big fluffy white Samoyed was the perfect Christmas angel. The festive season took on a new meaning for them as their mutual attraction grew. The Omega ended up running away from his troubles and straight into his new Alpha's loving arms. The story had a really wonderful HEA..
Noah is a widowed omega. He decides to rent Cruz's cabin to get away from pity Christmas invites. When he arrives at the cabin, he feels attracted to Cruz but thinks it is too soon after his husband's death to feel attraction toward another man. Cruz offers Noah the cabin at a rate that Noah can afford since the family who was to rent it cancelled last minute. Cruz feels something for Noah also but is hesitant to do anything since Noah is his client. As the week goes by and they do activities together, their attraction grows, and they act on it. Will it be all they think it will be? Can this Christmas be the best one ever?
I enjoyed this story. I loved Noah. He was down at the beginning, but I had to love his delight in the activities Cruz planned for him. Nothing was too blasé for him. Noah has such a child-like innocence and pleasure. He showed his joy. Cruz could not do enough for Noah. I loved Cruz's hunt for a ring. The two men were made for each other. Noah could see what was missing from his marriage. He found it all with Cruz. I was happy for them.
A sweet story focussed on Noah and Cruz. Noah is an omega who is left heartbroken after his partner passes away, not wanting to spend Christmas with his family he decides to hire a cabin and take some time out. Cruz is the cabin owner and an alpha which has him instantly feeling protective and caring towards Noah. So he goes above his normal role and spends time with Noah doing activities and getting closer to each other.
This was my first experience of an Mpreg story and I wasn’t really sure what to expect. It didn’t really go into any details of the pregnancy or birth it was just a case of positive pregnancy test, being tired and hormonal, baby came 9 months later so I’m still not sure if the trope would appeal to me or not. I also found the whole relationship quite rushed but then it was supposed to be an instalove story so I suppose that is to be expected.
Otherwise it was nicely written and enjoyable to read.
"I’m sorry for wasting your time, it’s just that this year has been really bad for me and…” He paused and then sniffled as if he might be crying. “Anyway, it doesn’t matter. Just forget I called.” ~Noah & Cruz conversation. This book is like drinking hot chocolate by the fire. Comfy, cozy and just the right amount of sweetness. I would read this again and again. The backstory of Noah's Alpha passing was sad but not because of their love story. When you learn more about the two of them it makes sense as to why Noah was able to move past his relationship and turned to Cruz in an insta love type scenario. I did appreciate that the insta love wasn't on the overly cheesy side. The author did a great job in balancing the insta attraction/love with a bit of a slow burn between the characters. Very cute! Also, there was lots of Christmas magic and feel good moments. ❄️☃️🎄☃️❄️
I normally skip books with grief or exes. It’s not that I have no sympathy of course I do. A lot of books I stumbled with grief mostly speak of the ex or the loss almost EVERY chapter. And the one that is hurting is back and forth with guilt. Then all of sudden tells new love “I love you “ out of the blue. I’m huh.. sorry for little rant and this is one of very few books I read that does NOT!! Love that. Yes Steve the ex at the end was an asshole but Noah was able to find what he truly deserved with Cruz sooner than later. He didn’t make him go back and forth. And Cruz was so amazing. I love this book so much and so glad someone recommended it on Facebook. I enjoyed the side characters as well. Well a lot from Cruz side.
Noah and Cruz have a beautiful and loving story. Following a horrible year, Noah heads to a remote cabin for Christmas away from friends and family. Cruz owns the rental and just so happens to fall hard and fast for his sad guest. In typical fashion, these wonderful authors give us a magical story for Christmas full of love, acceptance and a HEA. They even throw in a sweet bundle of joy and the sighting of one of Santa's reindeer. If you want a super sweet, quick read that brings together a sad omega and an alpha acting as Daddy Christmas then give this book a try.
Noah lost his alpha husband in a car crash eight months prior and as Christmastime rolls around, he decides he needs to be away from his pitying and well meaning family. The folks renting Cruz's cabin in the woods for Christmas back out, so he puts it back on the reality site. The cabin is perfect, so arrangements are made for Noah to take it. It's instant attraction when the two meet. And Cruz decides that the widowed omega is not going to be left to his own depressed musings. A freak snowstorm traps them in the cabin. And the attraction develops into love. A sweet, quick read. A lovely Christmas story.
This was a really sweet story about an omega named Noah, who just isn't up for all the Christmas hubbub after losing his mate. All his friends and family are demanding that he doesn't spend the holiday alone, and invite him for the holidays. But all Noah wants is to get away all by himself and recharge. Cruz owns a cabin that he fixed up himself, and rents out for the holidays. When a reservation for the cabin falls through, and Noah happens to call about it, it almost seems ordained. Cruz feels a connection to Noah, and vows to make this the best Christmas Noah has. Lots of Christmas play, and plans, are had....This definitely holds some Christmas magic..
Sweet sweet widowed omega Noah has very well intended relatives but do not understand what he needs. Alpha Cruz has a recently canceled cabin open for the the next renters, stat. Noah can’t afford even 1 night but his voice and story has Cruz renting to him anyway. The lovely Christmas experience Cruz sets up for Noah helps to show him the magic of the season again. And how to love.
This a sweet, short read that is worth the time. Finding their hea is fun to experience. The mpreg element is special. Great story.
Omega Noah is mourning the death of his husband. Wanting to escape, what for him is the smothering pity and concern of family and friends, he tells them all he is going to spend the holiday at a cabin in the mountains. Alpha Cruz has a last minute cancellation on his cabin, he strikes a deal with Noah. A fun, fast, sweet read. Love, healing, hope and HEAs. Exactly right for a season of hope, wishes , and magic.
