Rate this book
IS IT TIME FOR ANOTHER REVOLUTION?
Seismic culture shifts leave Christians wondering how to effect lasting change. While the Bible calls disciples of Jesus to humility, they often display pride. Pride is the enemy of discipleship on every level, and it keeps disciples from making an impact for the kingdom.
What is the way forward?
In The Revolutionary Disciple , Jim Putman and Chad Harrington offer clear guidance for navigating cultural changes with humility. They walk readers through the Five Spheres of Discipleship and unveil their four core practices of humility along the way. A tapestry of Scripture and stories, this book uncovers the path to ultimate peace for Christians who want a cultural revolution.
Take ground for your church, your family, and the kingdom.
Bridge the gap between the call to follow Jesus and the commission to make disciples of Jesus.
Join the revolution.
Learn to walk humbly with Jesus in every area of life.

Humility is an essential component of a disciple of Jesus. Anyone who would choose to argue against that just needs to read the Gospel accounts and Philippians 2. That's the core message of this book: developing a Christ-like humility in the five domains of your life.

I enjoyed the first section of the book, but I think that it might have been a better read if the whole thing was a third in length. I'd be hesitant passing this on to a new Christ-follower just because of the length. I'd be hesitant passing this on to one of my partners in vocational ministry because of its lack of depth. So I have a hard time figuring out WHO to recommend this book to.

Great central message. Poor implementation.

Overall really great book, but definitely not what I expected. I came in expecting a book on multiplication. It is a lot more about humbling yourself and submitting to the Lord. If you’re looking for a book that shows you areas of pride in your life, this is a great start

Pride is ugly. It prohibits our spiritual growth and stunts our relationships. Looking at the 5 spheres of our life and how to grow spiritually in each of them through the lens of being more humble was really good.
