All caught up to season 2 and a little beyond of the anime. Still pretty enjoyable the glimpse into Ryoma's day to day new life, though I don't really care for Elia's bit.

Not much happens in this book, although there are a few battles with monsters. It was nice to see how Eliaria’s doing in school during a couple interlude chapters. I’m also interested to see what his new slimes will evolve into.

It's not horrible

But neither is the novel very good. Its less of a story and more slice of life. The mc doesn't grow and the other character have no depth. Rather the other characters only exist to show just how great the protagonist is. I had hope for this series in the beginning but I'm done with it now. This book was needlessly explainy and the mc felt like a projection of the authors fantasizing.

This book is rather action-filled!! Also, it was fun seeing him research on not just his slimes, which l, by the way, were interesting - especially with all the new kinds he has discovered It was fun seeing him branch out into other things too, though it's quite a regret to see him entrust his ideas to many other people. Not that that's a bad thing! In fact, it is a good thing since he widens his circle all the more. It's just a bit regretful as all the credit could've went to him, but alas! He has much bigger problems and a much ardous task which is to improve himself.

It is still quite a mystery to me what he really intends to do in Sea of Trees of Syrus other than just visit the home of his supposed grandparents. It will prove to be really helpful to him, yes. He will grow exponentially stronger and able as he trains in preparation for his journey, but the mystery that clouds on what he will do in the village that is teeming with monsters remains. I can't seem to think of anything worth all the effort, to be honest. Hopefully, it will be really satisfying - one that he would be able to treasure or keep for himself, and not just materially.

If I am to point out about anything in this book that I especially liked, It was action filled and would even prove to provide a peek on how his foreboding journey would somehow look like - only then, he'll be alone (that worries me a bit, to be honest). That part of the book made me push sleep off and keep reading. It was a fun read, indeed.

Also, Elia's somewhat calm environment was a huge contrast to Ryoma's absolutely hectic one. This child just cannot find to breathe in this book! He was doing one thing after another constantly. It was kind of tiring but also really fun to read.

The epilogue part provided something to think about. The meeting of people somewhat related to Ryoma presents further depth into his life in Earth and I'm very excited to read more of it in the coming books. The bonus stories were cute too! Ryoma really affected more people than he realizes. And he affected them all in great ways. It was heartwarming to read. Reading things from Dolce's perspective, it was somehow heartbreaking learning of his rough childhood but I'm now really glad he is doing better, thanks to his job in Ryoma's laundromat.

Overall, I enjoyed this book a lot. It took such a long time to finish due to time constraints on my part but nonetheless, it was a breeze and I can't wait for more!! I am excited to learn more of Ryoma's life from here on out!!

This is mainly 4.5, in my opinion. Gosh, that took me a long while to read. But I made it! I mean, a lot has happened in here, even if it was just the festival and that guild mission. And there were scenes here that didn't make it in the anime version, which was good. This is also where the second season of the anime version ended. The last three episodes in this novel were those that I would say was venturing in a new territory. But I love it.

More

I am looking forward for the next volume of this series, the interaction between characters and environmental factors make a rich tale . Over here in Texas the Anime adaptation is running right now, I am enjoying the adaptation of book one. Due to time constraints I understand parts have to be left out. I am enjoying it any way.

Kinda dull

In a series where part of the charm is nothing much happens, this volume seems particularly half-hearted and uneventful. Ryouma isn't even particularly cheerful and helpful in this one, mostly arguing out of getting himself involved. I think I'm probably done with this series

Let’s go camping?

I like the story a lot... it is easy going entertaining and flows pretty natural.
If I have something I don’t like and don’t understand is the side storyline of the co-workers in Earth... hope some day that part of the novel get us somewhere.

Good.

Ryoma is just to advance for his new age. Doing things that seem abnormal to others. That fact that he needs to work is a bad habit from his old life. I really don't understand why the extra chapters about Ryoma's past co-workers are been included. Hopefully that make sense.

A solid entry. We get to see more of Ryoma going on adventuring missions with Asagi, Laypin, and the beastkin girl gang. I just want to say that while ryoma is very well defined the other characters around him tend to fall flat. I did still absolutely love this volume entry.

Such a supportive and wholesome story. They definitely made ryoma relatable and answered questions I had after watching the anime.

This is a fun light novel that is easy to read and enjoyable. I originally started reading it after initially watching the anime and wanting to continue the storyline.

This is an isekai where a child interacts with his new world in a very adult manner impressing many of the adults he has met. He demonstrates strength, cleverness, and high aptitudes that are unusual for someone his age. It’s a bit of a slice of life, progression, and adventure. There is an intricate magical system and good world building. There are also a lot of interesting and dynamic characters.

I like to read these types of isekai because I feel like they can be so relatable to adults. In a lot of these types of stories the adult dies young due to overworking themselves and are reincarnated into a fantasy world. Sometimes they are given specific roles like to be a hero but a lot of times it seems like more of a reward. Like hey I’m not the god of your universe but I saw how hard your life was why don’t you come over here and live a better life. A lot of the characters will think about wanting to live more leisurely lives but because they are used to working so much will end up accomplishing quite a lot. This is typically a combination of work ethic and alternative thinking they bring with them from their previous life. In the mean time they oftentimes by sheer coincidence improve the lives of others around them by sharing knowledge or making better work environments. There is often a theme of promoting peace and equality. And all this while learning magic and existing in a fantasy world!

I do tend to use this series as a bit of a palette cleanser because I enjoy it, it’s mostly lighthearted, and a quick read.

The fifth volume of By The Grace of the Gods furthers Ryoma Takebayashi's adventures. The city of Gimul holds a festival, Ryoma learns sword dancing in an attempt to combine martial arts and magic, and Elia goes to school in the capital.

Ryoma uses his connections to foster business opportunities. During the festival, the laundromat sells Barley Tea, which is more popular than anticipated. Since the barley comes from his employee's hometown, Ryoma decides to set up a trade negotiation.

Remember Miyabi? She goes off to the capital, and she and Elia become friends, along with three other girls.

Finally, the book continues the aftermath of Ryoma's death on Earth.

The book retains its charm with a slice-of-life flavor. I enjoyed the book. Thanks for reading my review, and see you next time.
