Ashe has always been alone—at least, when it comes to his biology. All his cousins are alphas, but he's stuck with the 'inferior' role.
Fed up with it all, Ashe tells himself he doesn't want a mate anyway. It's a lie he forces himself to believe until he meets an alpha who changes everything.
An alpha who saves him, protects him, loves him—all without saying a single word.
Bear
Nobody wants an alpha without a name.
Abandoned by his family for being mute, Bear adopted the name of his shifter species, a powerful grizzly. All Bear has ever wanted was someone to love, but Bear lacks a name and a voice. Who could ever want him?
He might not talk, but other shifters do. When Bear hears rumors of spirits with wonderful magic, he sets out to find them in hopes of being fixed. Maybe then he'll finally find the love he craves.
Or maybe, magic was right under his nose the entire time—in the form of an omega who teaches him he can't fix what isn't broken.
Fated: Buck and the Bear is a 45,000 word mpreg book with a grumpy disabled alpha whose secretly a cinnamon roll, a stubborn omega twink who won't admit to being a huge romantic, mutual pining, size difference, hurt/comfort, fluffy and steamy scenes, and a HEA as usual!
Hawke is a M/M author who loves the world of MPREG and shifters. In his spare time he enjoys hiking with his dog, hanging out with his boyfriend, and playing video games.
And especially this and the original Fated series. Such interesting mate pairings and so much love and joy throughout every book! I for one am seriously hoping we get a book four and maybe more!
dnf @ 75%……i can’t be arsed to finish this…..plain and simple i’m bored and the writing puts me to sleep, it’s so bland and generic…..giving wattpad vibes…..reading the summary was like oooo imagine the possibilities🤩 (i mean hello mute mc will attract me every time) and then the possibilities came and i didn’t feel a single emotion, not even a magically induced heat could save it for me😔
I really enjoyed this book. Sometimes you just need a low angst, fluff, insta-love story. I loved the connection between Ashe and Bear. It was so sad hearing that Bear’s parents were complete a*seholes who treated him like there was something wrong with him because he couldn’t speak. I’m glad that they found each other and that Animus helped them get rid of Terranus, the earth spirit who was trying to take Bear and Ashe’s magic created from their love because they are fated mates to gain more power. They decided to transfer their magic to Animus so he can stop Terranus and as a gift for helping them they decide to let him keep their magic just with the promise to help them in the future if Terranus ever comes after them again. I loved that Bear wasn’t afraid to be vulnerable with Ashe and that Ashe was so protective of him. I’m glad that Ashe and his cousin Starry showed Bear that there’s nothing wrong with him even if he can’t verbally speak, he can still communicate using sign language, just like Starry and that he deserves love which he definitely gets in spades with Ashe’s family. I’m looking forward to reading more books as the rest of Ashe’s cousins find their fated mates. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
I am so in love with this series! This book continues the saga of the next generation... the Heirs. To be completely enveloped in this story, read the previous books & the prior series. Time. Well. Spent. This segment follows Ashe, omega deer as he stumbles into his fated mate, Bear. From a dramatic rescue, healing, a quest, danger, and meddling, sometimes baffling, spirits, this book has it all. Bear's inability to speak, and his signing, is treated with the utmost respect. Ashe's cousin Starry also signs, so to Ashe, Bear is "normal". Their quest takes twists & turns; ultimately showing them what is truly important... the love of a mate & acceptance of self. As for the spirits, let's just say they are surprising & leave it at that. Ooh, and there is a first kiss & first time heat sex... so hot. I loved this book. You will too. I can't wait for the next to come out. This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
This third book of the Pack of Heirs series is just as interesting and fascinating as the other two, especially with the reintroduction of the Spirits. A new one is brought to "light" in this novel. The Alpha Bear MC wants to find the Spirits to fulfill the wish of finding his voice. He won't be unworthy or unwanted if he has a voice. Ashe, Omega son of the Pack Wolf Alpha and his huge masculine looking Omega Deer is so disappointed that he's the only Omega amongst his many cousins. He feels misunderstood and easily annoyed by how he always perceived that he's being targeted, treated differently, and his Omega status is the obvious reason why.
When the two MCs (a Deer and Bear) meet their misunderstandings and miscommunications, along with their stubbornness, and keeping important things secret lead to a very unexpected adventure. This exciting adventure involves Spirits, cooperation, the realization of being fated mates, and being absorbed into a large loving family.
Courage and bravery, don't need words. Ashe, has feelings about being the only omega in the family. He is not necessarily treated badly, but he still feels the difference in designations. As he gets older and his cousins start finding their mates, he feels some words as slights, even if they are more thoughtless than deliberate. He, goes walk about and meets Bear and Alpha living on his own who can't speak. Bear, lives alone and slowly becomes despondent in his lonliness. Because he is so huge, any attempt to communicate in his way is still perceived as an act of aggressive threat. Their adventure is fantastic in the revelations and adventure they have. There are a lot of elements of sad, but more of courage and triumph. Bear made it to the list of favorite. Excellent story, well done!
Ashe is the only omega in his generation and he hates it when gets teased about it. He acts like it doesn't matter but it does. When he's teased about it again he runs off and gets attacked by a non shifting animal.
Thankfully he's saved by Bear who is a grizzly bear shifter. Bear is also mute so at first As he doesn't realize he's a shifter. Though when Bear shifts he uses sign language which Ashe knows because his cousin Starr uses it since chooses to be mute.
I thought this was sweet and cute. Also showed that one doesn't have to change who they are to be liked. Bear over came the fact he was different. He'd wanted a wish from a spirit but changed his mind when saw one. He a!so found out what happened to his parents that hated him.
Loved Starr helping Bear and Ashe. Their baby was adorable as well.
This is a paranormal shifter romance with mpreg. It is the third book in the Pack of Heirs series, a sequel to the Pack of Brothers series and It is best read in order. This story is about one of the offspring, an omega Deer shifter who meets “Bear” a lonely mute Bear shifter. This is a story about feeling you need to completely change to be loved. This one especially hit me in the feels and it’s a great addition to the series! I love the disability inclusion, especially among nature shifters!
Bear really pulled at my heartstrings, I just wanted to tell him it would all get better... Ashe was a sweet omega who, even though he was dearly loved by his family, always felt lonely as the only omega of his generation.
Their relationship was so sweet, though they actually ended up in danger quite often.
Animus made an appearance again, and it seems this pack of heirs is slowly but surely creating a change in him...
POV: dual Tropes: fated mates, found family, mute alpha, mpreg. Spice: medium (detailed scenes, knotting) CW: mentions of past child abuse.
I didn't love this book. There's quite a few fantasy elements like nature spirits that cause the main conflict in the story. I'd rather of seen the relationship develop more naturally and them actually communicate with each other instead of having the spirits force them together. It was an alright read, but if it was much longer, I might not have finished it with the unbelievable (and somewhat cheesy) way it went. Overall, it's not great but it's also not bad.

These books are super easy to read, super sweet without a lot of angst and have shifters and fated mates. It's lovely to see the babies from the first series all grown up and Ashe is the one who is the one to get his mate in this book. Bear is just the sweetest and I felt so bad for him when everyone was afraid of him and he couldn't communicate. Ashe really is the perfect mate for him and I'm so happy that he got his family.
This was such a cute beautiful story. Love it. I have read lots of wolves, lions shifters books so bear and buck was something new for me. I have been searching MM books where one of the MC is mute. And this was good. It broke my heart to read Bear thinking he was broken and doesn't deserve to be loved. I loved him... he was adorable. He deserved all the love and respect. I'm glad he found Buck, who loved him just the way he was. They were cute together and their baby bear cub.
This book was very sweet and heartwarming. I loved Bear and Ashe but I was hoping that they'd communicate their true feelings a bit sooner. I was also hoping that Bear could get his voice back but that didn't happen so that part of the story somewhat disappointed me, however, I loved that the family was so caring and accepting of Bear no matter what. I enjoyed the ending and their baby was adorable. Cute story.
I hate when a sweet romance morphs into an explicit ridiculous sex filled story. It’s very jarring. Just stay in your lane. Keep the tone consistent. In this we went straight from a tender first kiss for both to “fuck me into the floor” sort of language. It doesn’t work.
Bear and Ashe are beautiful together and they find each other loves the other with some help from a unlikely source. I enjoyed reading this book and the story was so fast paced and wonderful.
I'm so glad that this series touches on so many differences. I'm so glad Bear found the one person who was able to understand him. I also love how Ashe and Bear had a meeting just like Dax and Morgan.
Thoroughly enjoyed this one and looking forward to more. Enjoyed the storyline but I have some questions that need answering. Can't ask here. Will spoil the book.
Love love love! Bear was perfect in every way. I adorned him and I’ve loved Ashe since he was conceived in the previous series. This second series is so damn good it’s almost impossible to pick my favorite couple.
This was another good addition to the Pack if Heirs series. As he and Bear were perfect for each other and I love how Animus us developing as a character look forward to more of his story.
This is definitely one of my favorites now! Heartbreaking, sweet, funny and beautiful! A very well written story of strength and love that is inspiring! Loving this series!
Cute book with a sweet bear shifter and feisty deer shifter. Liked how Ashe built up Bear’s self worth. I did think the birth scene was a little weird but it was a cute read.
Sweet low angst love story between two shifters that feel they are not enough. They are enough for each other though. Loved the scenes with the spirits and loved the ending. Recommend reading.
A mute Bear and a strong yet beautiful buck. A match that was so beautiful to watch falling in love. A lot of heart in this one. A dramatic story with a magnificent HEA
