He should have left Cherry Falls and be halfway to Texas but he can’t leave. He can’t get over these possessive feelings he has for Hadley. He wants to protect her and take her pain away. He wants to love her.

4 - "You and me..." Stars!

Another great novella from Hope Ford with Mayra Statham, who is a new to me author, and set in the Cherry Falls universe.

"You're my first cowboy."

If you like quick and sexy, Grayson and Hadley's story fits the bill perfectly. Over-protective Alpha meets shy-scarred heroine and their attraction is instant. You can guess the rest, and all topped off with a guaranteed HEA!

"1109 Cowboy Way" is the story of Hadley and Grayson.

Hero is a divorced ranch-hand, trying to find a home. He has seen the heroine around, who hides herself behind baggy clothes, especially her scars. When she needs help with running her farm, a mutual friend suggests his name and he is reluctantly hired. On a stormy night, passion ignites and we cut to their HEA.

Nice story but we didnt go into either of their pasts or backgrounds, but Im still ok with that.

Safe

This book was a bittersweet romance story with more on the sweet side. It swayed me, really; in a good way. The h was a survivor of a car crash. She lost her mom and suffered an injury that left her a lifetime scar from her face to most of her body. She bought a ranch with her mom's insurance money because she kept on being reminded by her late mother to "keep moving forward". But she was haunted with grieves. More so, she became a hermit and had mild paranoia on going outside and driving. This was the part where I wept inside....
description
After weeks handling the new ranch alone, a cowboy offered his help. Unbeknownst to her, this cowboy had seen her in town before and held a massive crush on her regardless of the scars and her being a hermit. And he had one mission only; a mission to convince our h that she deserved love and deserved a life. (Yep, still crying inside because this was touching as heck)
description

I liked the story. Maybe I am sappy, but this story really touched all the mellow spots in my tender heart. A love that was more than lust at first sight. The H fell for our h with all her scars, inside and out. It was definitely a sweet story. And the authors delivered it with flowers and a good presentation. The characters were great, especially Rosie. Oh, Rosie the feed-store owner. She was a saint!! This book made me fall for Rosie. We need a Rosie in our life. And we need a love that surpasses the surface beauty. An instalove that was more than lust. Ahhh.... how beautiful that is to fall in love.

No virgin
Dual PoV, 1st person
No cheating
No drama/angst
Safe read, HEA, epilogue
Overall score: 4.5 sweet romance stars

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

Hadley was involved in a horrific car accident that killed her mother and left her permanently scared on her face and body. She hides away on a ranch she purchased with the money from the accident settlement. She is a little apprehensive of driving, understandably, and very wary of people staring at her and her scars. She hides her face with her long hair and hats, but Grayson a cowboy who is working in Cherry Falls sees her and falls for her. There is something about her he can’t explain, he is drawn to her and wants to be near her. With the help of the feed store owner, Rosie he gets Hadley to agree to hire him to help on her ranch. She can’t believe that a handsome man like Grayson is attracted to her and she tries to keep him at arms length. But he has patience and persistence on his side and he convinces her that she is beautiful and is more than her scars. Their relationship is so sweet and sexy. He gets her to agree to go on their first date, dinner and dancing. But in trying to let her see that he is not the only one who finds her beautiful he almost loses her. He stumbles when he’s surprised she put makeup on and when another cowboy talks to her and asks her to dance he strongly encourages her to dance with him. Hadley thinks he’s done with her since they had sex, but he tells her he did it for her so she could see other men find her beautiful too. But he is never again letting another man touch her or dance with her again. Epilogue 14 years later with Grayson throwing Hadley a surprise party. She has come a long way from hiding to being a beautiful confident woman again. Grayson does let her dance with another cowboy, their son.

The couple: Grayson and Hadley

Romance trope: damaged heroine
Series: Cherry Falls
Length: 82 pages

Plot: Hadley now has her dream ranch, but at great cost. The car accident killed her mother and left her with scars and she stays away from other people. But Grayson sees her and with the help of the feed store owner, secures a place as her ranchhand. Hadley can't believe that Grayson is attracted to her.

Commentary: Poor, poor Hadley. She was so intensely damaged and needed more help than she was willing to ask for. I'm so glad the owner of the feed store saw her and knew she needed help and arranged for it, in her own way. Grayson was just the guy for her, obviously. Cute.

Previous book in the series: 1102 Sugar Rd.
Next book in the series: 1116 Miracle Way

Sweet and steamy! I admired Hadley for how strong she was, overcoming an accident that took the life of her mom. She was left with scars that left her feeling insecure and slow to trust. Hadley is trying to run a ranch on her own. Grayson has seen her scars and still thinks she's beautiful. His chance to talk to her comes when a mutual friend suggests to Hadley that Grayson help her on the ranch. From that moment, Grayson made it his mission to help her any way he could, on the ranch and proving to her that she's beautiful. He wanted forever and then some with her.
I knew going into this book that I would enjoy it. I love Mayra's novellas. Hope Ford is new to me, but I plan on checking out more of her books.

I loved this couple the overbearing alpha man and his shy scarred woman. He had a crush on her for quite sometime regardless of her scars... she was living her a hermit life. When they finally got together it was great 😍😍😍 Sweet, romantic, safe and a bit sad as well but with a great HEA 👍👍👍👍

The city is back with Hadley and Greyson.

Hadley has been through the ringer and trusts nobody.
Greyson watches her at the feed store, trying to find a way to talk to her, to help her.

And when that chance happens, he pounces on it.

Learning more about her, he knows he needs to help her overcome obstacles in her life.
But the choices he makes to help her, will that keep them together or move far away?

A sweet novel with lot of swoon-worthy moments and layers of greatness in the storyline.

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I absolutely love it.

Grayson meets Hadley when she goes to Rosie's Tractor and Feed Supply Co. Hadley needs some supplies for her animals and while she is talking to Rosie, who is telling her she needs to hire some help, Grayson introduces himself. Grayson tells Hadley he'll help her out on her ranch all he wants in return is a place to stay. After Rosie helps to convince Hadley she needs to let Grayson help her out, she gets the supplies needed loaded into his truck after Hadley agrees to let him help her out around her ranch. Grayson finds Hadley's ranch and helps her unload his truck of the supplies. Then Hadley shows Grayson around and gives him a list of things she would like him to work on, she heads inside to make dinner. Before Hadley heads off Grayson tells her that she's safe with him, he's attracted to her but he would never harm her. Hadley has scares she was in a car accident that killed her mother and now she has scares all over her body and along her face. Hadley has a hard time going out in public, now she can't believer she has allowed Grayson into her home. When she starts making dinner she doesn't understand why Grayson told her he was attracted to her. Hadley doesn't want to fall for Grayson, even though she thinks he's very attractive. Grayson comes in after finishing his chores and Hadley has his meal all ready for him at the table. Hadley walks away to head into the kitchen to have her own dinner when Grayson tells her to sit with him and eat so that they can talk about what are her priority for fixing on the ranch. When they are finished with dinner Grayson tells Hadley he needs to tell her a few things, he tells her about his divorce. Hadley offers Grayson some dessert trying to change the subject, but he gets up to help her out. When Grayson tells her that she is pretty and her scares don't matter to him, she tells him she looks at herself every morning in the mirror she knows what she looks like. Grayson tells Hadley he would never lie to her, but she tells him to let himself out and to lock the doors. Grayson grab her dessert and carries it to her bedroom he knocks on the door and tells her he is leaving that he cleaned up downstairs and her dessert is waiting for her. Grayson heads to the bunkhouse but decides to get started on a few things he know if he goes to bed he won't go to sleep. It starts to rain out then it's thundering and lightening, Hadley knows she needs to get out of bed to check on her animals. When she gets to the barn she finds Grayson already locking things down, then he gets a alert on his phone. Hadley asks him what it was and he tells her there is a tornado warning. Hadley tells Grayson they both need to head up to her house they shouldn't be in the barn. Grayson tells her he will stay in the bunkhouse, but she asks him if he's going to leave her alone. Hadley tells him she wants him to come to the main house to be with her, but he tells her he can't he's attracted to her. Hadley tells him he can't be attracted to her, she asks him why he's here. Grayson tell her he's here because of her, he tells her he wants everything from her. Hadley finally convinces him to come inside with her and they run in the rain to the main house. Hadley strips off her clothes letting Grayson see all of her, all her scares. The lights go out and every where is dark, Grayson tells her to take a shower to warm up. She tells him they can warm up together, she takes his hand and leads him into her bedroom. Hadley tells him she needs him, and he tells her he needs her too. She tells him to take her to bed, he asks her if she is sure and she tells him yes. They begin kissing and Grayson start to pleasures her, then they are making love. Grayson tells her she is his, then she asks him then if he is hers, he tells her he is. When the lights come back on Hadley tries to cover back up but Grayson tells her he won't have that. He knows if she covers up she'll never recover so he starts to kiss her. He tells her how beautiful she is, and Hadley starts to relax and falls asleep. Hadley wakes and can feel Grayson pressed against her back, after he kisses her he tells her to stay in bed, naked, he'll do the chores. Hadley falls back asleep but after an hour wakes up, she makes some breakfast and takes it to Grayson. Then she helps him finish up the chores, then they head inside to grab some lunch. Grayson tells Hadley he wants to take her out dancing, she tells him she doesn't go out. Grayson tells her he wants to show her off, but she tells him she can't. He tells her he wants to take her on a proper date, and she finally agrees. So they both get ready for their date to the Tipsy Cow bar. Hadley applies some makeup trying to cover up her scares when Grayson comes to the door he tells her she doesn't need that on her face, she's beautiful. After they have dinner Grayson apologies to her he tells her he always messes up around her, she tells him it's okay. Hadley tells him she wants to dance, so he leads her out to dance. After a few dances Grayson excuses himself to use the restroom, when he comes back a cowboy is talking to Hadley. Grayson walks up when the cowboy asks her to dance with him, he tells her to go ahead. Grayson stands aside and watches her as she laughs at what the cowboy says to her. When the cowboy wants to dance with her again she declines and heads back to Grayson. She tells him she wants to go home and he knows she is upset when they arrive home, he asks her if she is upset and she asks him what does he care. Hadley tells him he's the one that upset her, she tells him goodnight. She tells him she was having a great time with him then he passed her to another man, she isn't that way. He tells her that wasn't what he was doing, he did it for her. He tells her he wanted her to know he's not the only man that thinks she is beautiful. He tells her he hated letting her dance with another man, but he wanted her to know that he's not the only man that finds her beautiful. She can't believe he did that for her, he tells her he would do anything for her but he's never doing that again. Grayson tells her he wants her now, tomorrow and the day after. Hadley tells him she the forever kind of girl be careful what he offers her. Fourteen years later, another man is dancing with Hadley and Grayson can't take it anymore. He asks his son if he can cut in, and then tells him to keep an eye on his sister. Grayson with the help of Rosie is having a birthday party for Hadley, he made her his fourteen years ago. Grayson tells her he loves her and Hadley tells him she loves him too. Loving Hadley is Grayson's beginning, middle and end of every story, and it's forever.

Once again. Did we all read the same thing? For having two authors, this novella is terrible. The characters are so ridiculous the story's foundation can't take it. Their dialogue is awful; very teenager in emotive vibe and stuck in redundancies of that time period--very one track. The circumstances they fall into are equally as strange, not really wholly believable even in a suspended disbelief--this book insists on being grounded in Oregon so firmly, yet doesn't have that hallmark feel. I'm all for a 14 year later epilogue, but even that didn't really make me enjoy the story any more than the rest of the 85 pages did.

Not a fan. The characters are so one-note, that in my opinion, it's not worth the time to get to know them.

'1109 Cowboy Way' by Hope Ford and Mayra Statham is part of the multi-author Cherry Falls series and tells the story of Hadley Fletcher, who has bought a ranch in Cherry Falls, and Grayson Doss, a cowboy who likes to travel from place to place. Hadley was in a really bad car accident that killed her mother and left her with scars inside and out. With the insurance money she was able to buy a ranch in Cherry Falls. She no longer socialized as she had before the accident partly because the stares and pity is just too much to handle. However, Holly knows she needs to make more of an effort to make friends.

Grayson notices Holly shopping one day and can't get her out of his mind. He finished his job here and was supposed to be going to another in Amarillo but something is holding him back. That is what he does, work a job for a month or so and then move onto the next one. Ever since he caught his ex-wife sleeping with his best friend, no loitering and no relationships. But Holly is changing his M.O.

Ms. Ford and Ms. Statham has written a compelling addition to the series. I like how Grayson supported Hadley without pressuring her and the relationship between them was so sweet. Although this book is short it is well written with likable characters, great dialogue, and a charming plot. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes a quick but satisfying read with their glass of wine.

Hope Ford and Mayra Statham joins forces for the latest book in the exceptional Cherry Falls Romance series, 1109 Cowboy Way. This is a swoon-y, steamy, sugary and spicy instalove romance that you will not be able to put down. Hadley has been fighting behind her scars, both the physical and emotional ones, since she lost her mother in the a car accident in the last year. She bought a ranch and has been running it on her own, but she is running herself into the ground. Her friend Rosie at the feed and supply store recognizes this, and when wandering cowboy Grayson comes into the store, Rosie suggests Hadley hire him to help her out around the ranch. The divorced cowboy is anxious to help Hadley - he has had his eye on her for weeks and cannot deny the feelings of protectiveness and possession that come over him whenever he sees her in town. But will Grayson be able to break through the walls Hadley has erected around herself? This is a fabulous love story, beautifully written with two very engaging, endearing characters, a must-read in this phenomenal multi-author series!

Hadley is struggling to make her way after the accident that took her mom and scared her. Just moved to town, she keeps her head down and prefers not to talk to anyone. Grayson is a cowboy that travels from ranch to ranch. While in Cherry Falls he eye fall on Hadley, understanding his story, he finds his protective side come out wanting to help her before she destroys herself and the best way to do that is to get hire on at her ranch.

Hadley and Grayson's story if a fast pace read that deals with heartache, struggles, passion and love. Greyson has a big heart and does what he can to show Hadley just how beautiful she is, but seems to keep digging himself in a deeper hole. This is a sweet story from start to finish

Would have been 5 until the last chapter

I liked this a lot. Grayson was just the right amount of protective, Hadley was relatable and made your heart break. I might be a villain, but her saying over and over and over and over in the space of a few paragraphs how she misses her mom and would do anything to take her place got annoying; not the sentiment, but the repetition of it. It started to feel like a space filler rather than trying to convey her sadness.
It is an instalove so you have to throw a lot of things to the wind and I don't mind that, but the big conflict felt really convoluted. Why ask her to go dancing if you don't like dancing? I get why he wanted her to dance with the other guy, but her thought processes made no sense and it really took away from the story for me.

Wow, that's all I can say wow!! This is definitely a feel-good insta-love romance. When I finished I actually sighed, yes it sounds phony but it happened!!

Grayson is a travelling cowboy, he stays a month working at a ranch then he moves on. Until he sees her.

Hadley is scarred, not just her face but inside as well. She's bought a ranch and has been working it alone and pretty much driving herself into the ground trying to keep up by herself.

I truly loved this book. It's an amazing addition to the Cherry Falls series and even if you read it as a standalone you'll fall in love with Grayson and Hadley.

Scarred Love ❤

Hadley and Greyson

Hadley has been through some things. Like surviving an accident where her mother passed away from. Greyson Doss has also been through some things too. Like his cheating ex- wife.

Hadley is having a hard time healing. Not just adjusting to the physical scars. But she hasn't worked through her deeper scars. Greyson is a traveling cowboy.

You gotta thank Rosie for being there. Grey and Hadley's relationship have it's niche to work through. Him with his delivery to Hadley. Hadley understanding that she is more. The sexual chemistry between them is hot.

I enjoyed reading the epilogue in this book. Grey doesn't change something's about himself.

Grayson was only planning on staying in Cherry Falls a short time, moving on to the next job, except this time he does not want to leave. There is something about Hadley that calls to him, alone on her ranch with no help.

Hadley lost her mother in an accident that left her scarred, the money from the accident allowed her to buy the Hickory Homestead. The ranch is wearing her down as it really too much work for one person.

This is a sweet and steamy romantic story, part of the Cherry Falls series. Grayson is just the right person to help heal Hadley.

We're back in Cherry Falls for Hadley and Grayson's story and what a sweet story it is. Hadley has endured a lot of suffering in her life and she has the scars to show for it. Gray is a cowboy who moves around a lot trying to run from his own baggage of his ex-wife cheating on him with his best friend. He's seen Hadley before at the feed store and he is attracted to her and it's Rosie who runs the feed store who convinces Hadley to hire him to help out on her ranch. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this book to see what happens.

This one was a bit sad. I felt horrible for Hadley and everything she had been through. I understand her emotions and unwillingness to put herself out there but was very impressed with her strength in pushing herself to do it. The anxiety was crippling but she worked to overcome. Grayson was wonderful for her and I adored how he pushed, even when putting his foot in his mouth! Not gonna lie, I did side eye some of his choices and words but at the end of the day he was what she needed. Very enjoyable read, I finished in one sitting.

Fantastic and Romantic

1109 Cowboy Way by Hope Ford and Mayra Statham is part of the multi-author A Cherry Falls Romance series. I have read a number of books by Hope and a couple by Mayra but this is the first time these two have written together, and it is a delight. This story is delightfully charming and sinfully deliciously sweet, with a really great kick of hot and sweaty that you know is coming and when it does it does not disappoint. I really loved this story of a two wounded people who find solace, love and healing in each other. This book definitely does not disappoint and is a RECOMMEND READ!!!

After Hadley survives a accident that takes the life of her mother she uses the insurance money to buy a ranch. She hides the scars she has from the acccident by rarely coming into to town and then only to get supplies that she needs. Grayson is a traveling cowboy who has seen Hadley in a few of the trips that she has made into town and he likes what he sees so when his last job ends he ask her for a job at her ranch because he can also see that the ranch is too much for her. What starts out as a friendship one Grayson hopes will lead to more because he has fallen for Hadley but will she let him past her walls.

TRAVELING COWBOY AND A LONELY FARM GIRL AT A HOT RODEO! 🤠🔥💞👩

[...]
But life is short. If I have learned anything this last year, it’s that things change in the blink of an eye. One moment you can be on the way to buy groceries and the next you get hit head on, your car flipped and crumpled like a tin can. All because someone was answering a text.
[...]
You’re right, Grayson. She’s still beautiful. But I don’t think it's just her visible scars that has her guard up. If I had to guess, I’d say she’s dealing with a lot of scars you can’t see. Those are the ones that have her hiding from the world.

Hadley is learning to live without her mom and when Grayson shows he truly sees her she starts to learn that she can depend in someone other than herself. Will these two be able to put their rough past behind them and find true happiness eith each other?

This was a wonderful book. I loved Hadley and Gray together. Hadley tried to fight was she was felling for Gray because of her guilt and physical scares but Gray wouldn't let her hide anymore. I loved the connection, banter, and the chemistry between these two. Gray is an all alpha male but he is funny AF when he puts his foot in his month when it comes to Hadley. I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and these authors.

I really enjoyed this story. I like how Grayson sees past Hadley's injuries and sees how beautiful she is. Hadley is new to Cherry Falls and stays to herself. She is still dealing what happened to her and doesn't want people to take pity on her. Grayson is just the man to help her realize it's whats inside that counts. He is protective of her from the start. Before he even meets her. This is a great book with great characters and I found it very enjoyable. I love the HEA and the look forward into their lives years later.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Hadley had a tragic accident that ripped away so much from her life. She bought the ranch outside of Cherry Falls and hopes to live without many of the looks. Grayson has not had an urge to put down roots until he sees Hadley. She calls to him without even trying. Because of her fears she is not very trusting. Hadley and Grayson have a sweet love story with emotional ups and downs. I enjoyed it

A short romance with some spice.

Hadley is a young woman who has lost a lot in recent times. Left with physical scars as well as mental ones, she hides herself away on her ranch venturing out only to pick up supplies.
Grayson is a cowboy who is used to moving from place to place, until he set eyes on Hadley. Now he needs to find a way to get to know her.

I really enjoyed this one. It had a simple story and romance but it was layered enough so that I could really feel for the characters and I read it really quickly.

Some swearing and sexual content in this one.

We have been taken back to Cherry Falls where the townspeople help anyone who needs it, without expecting anything in return. Hadley rarely leaves her ranch since she feels that everyone stares at the scars she received in an auto accident. Greyson is supposed to move onto another job, but one look at Hadley and he wants to help and protect her. Will he be able to scale the walls around her heart?
