She's a wild child. He's assigned to be her Watch Dom. It's youth and mischief vs age and experience.
Iris is new to the lifestyle and when her inexperience and troublemaking disrupt everyone's pleasure at Marquis, someone has to lay down the law. Unfortunately for Iris, that someone is Master Law. In the courtroom and the playroom, Lawrence is a by-the-book kind of guy, and while he doesn't suffer fools he certainly doesn't mind keeping brats in line.
Teaching Iris the importance of following the rules for her own safety as well as everyone else's comes naturally to Master Law. To his surprise, an attraction to the young and rebellious newbie quickly begins to feel just as genuine. But when Iris tests the limits of the law both inside and outside of the club, Lawrence will have to choose between the black-and-white world he loves to live in and the growing feelings he has for Iris.

Golden Angel’s Stronghold and Marquis series are so much fun to read! They have a shared community of Masters and subs who feel like family to me. So,knowing Iris’ and Law’s story was coming,i might’ve squealed a little in delight. Getting the ARC was a bonus i couldn’t grab quick enough, and i had so much fun with it!
It’s not easy being Andrew’s little sister and being a sub at Stronghold. So,when Iris got the chance, she helped with the Dom class at Marquis. Now that it was finished, she was back at Stronghold….when her big brother wasn’t there to play. Only,he’d talked to the few Doms that were interested in playing with her….and they all stayed away after that. Getting into trouble didn’t help either….the punishment Master Patrick came up with was not what she’d expected. A whole month serving drinks? Not scening? (not that she had been, but still…) And watching how the subs that did felt about what was done to them? Under the watchful eye of Master Law? Damn…. But with every “good girl” at the end of the evening, she started to feel like she could get used to that. What was she going to do when the month was over?
Master Law was used to being in control,to plan everything ahead. He needed it,badly, after the past he had…. So,falling neatly into the trap Patrick neatly set out for him made his teeth ache. Iris was the opposite of him, completely! She never thought things through before acting, she was a wirlwind,a disaster waiting to happen. Watching her for a whole month promised to be torture….until it wasn’t. Because she wasn’t as bad as he thought she was, just eager to help others. He was going to miss watching over her after the month was over….unless….
Asking Iris to play together after the month ended felt good. When she warned him about her brother, and showed relief after he told her he still wanted to play, made him understand why she wanted to meet at Marquis. And it felt good, for both, that first time. In fact,it felt like more…even if Law knew it couldn’t lead to anything. So,when Iris suggested to play more often at Marquis, and to go with the flow,it sounded like a good idea.
Iris needed something good in her life with not only an overbearing brother, but a strained relationship with her former bestie as well. At least her new friends from Marquis,Domi,Rae and Avery were supportive. Law made her feel good, and she hoped to convince him to make it last a little longer. If only she knew what his problem was, because she liked the guy….really liked him. Would they be able to deal with everything that seemed to block their chances of a HAE??
It was só much fun being back at Stronghold and Marquis! The gossip train amongst the tight-knit group of friends was as strong as ever, and their conversations were hilarious! The way they watched Iris’ and Law’s every movement, and commented on it,showed they cared about them. And when things went bad, they stood by them, and supported both the way they needed. Hearing who’s story is coming next was an added bonus, and i can’t wait to hear how that one unfolds!
Another great read in the Masters of Marquis Series.
I am loving this series, in this installment we have Lawrence " Master Law" and Iris as our main couple, if you have read the previous book you know that Iris is Master Andrew's sister and she has a knack of getting herself into trouble, in this glorious book Iris finds herself on punishment for a month with Master Law the one to watch over her to make sure she doesn't interrupt a scene again. Now I will admit to reading this book before book two, which I did read a few days later, so I didn't know exactly what had happened but it was explained in brief detail so you know but when I read MASTER CHEF, I was able to see how the whole scene unfolded and Iris' previous interactions with Master Law.
Love, love, love this series! It’s like…. The best reunion ever! The old Stronghold favorites make cameos, while the focus is on new players. This is Master Law and Iris’ story. You may remember Iris as Andrew’s little sister in the previous series. Iris is a subbie that brats for attention and Law is convinced he not only doesn’t want any relationships, the last thing he needs is a brat. Or is it? 💜
This was the first book I'd read from this author. I can say that I will be reading more from her. I really enjoyed this world set in the two BDSM clubs. The scenes were very spicy and makes me take a look at electricity in a whole new way.
Having not experienced a BDSM club in real life, she gave what I feel would be a very realistic look behind the scenes of an upscale, safe, club that anyone could walk into and learn about the lifestyle and not be too overwhelmed. I appreciated that.
The only reason I didn't give this a 5, is because I was a bit unsure of Iris's age to start with. She seemed young, but then would talk about all her years in the community. So, I was a bit confused until he mentioned he was 34 and she said he was 9 years older than her. After that, things started to make a bit more sense. She went from being just absolutely annoying for no reason to " oh, now I get it." She's 25, so I can understand better when she acts a bit juvenile. She's at that age where she's growing and coming into her own.
Iris has a bad roommate situation made worse because it's her best friend she's had for years. She's conflicted because she wants to be there for her, and feels guilty if she isn't, but she's also spreading her wings and making "adult" friends. Friends that she's made in this stage of her life, not when she was a child. So, there are definitely some growing pains happening there.
Law has his own demons he has to fight. But again, he was young when it all happened. He was Iris' age now when he was going through his own growing pains and learning how to navigate in his new reality.
Overall, I really enjoyed the book. It could be a bit slow in places, but the spice was right and the characters were too. I liked going in with the main characters already knowing each other when the book starts. You got to see how the relationship progressed from acquaintances to lovers. They weren't enemies, but they also weren't the best of friends either. I find that refreshing where they were somewhere in the middle.
Will I read more from this author? Absolutely. Would I recommend her to others? Also, Absolutely.
HOT! That is the basic knowledge you need from this book.
Iris is a bratty sub who crossed the line at the club and is set to be a server for a month with no scenes and will be watched over by a Master. Lawrence, or Law as he’s known to everyone, is not happy with the job and tries to avoid her other than when he has to watch her. But one conversation leads to a scene that leads to more.
But Law doesn’t do relationships and Iris is a bit bratty for his planning lifestyle. And Iris hates that no one would scene with her due to her brother but were now looking closer that a Dom is interested. But Iris doesn’t change too much and repeats her infraction which brings back memories for Law that led to him being injured.
Law and Iris get their happy ending in this stand-alone book in a series.
Please note, this is a BDSM book and while consensual acts occur between the main characters, there are some mentions of abuse to others. That being said, these two were so adorable together. I get they were the perfect balance to each other’s personalities. And Iris really should have learned, you act bratty, you get the punishment deserved. And it’s quite a delicious read when the punishment happens.
Thank you Golden Angel for offering ARC books in honor of your 10th Anniversary! I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Wild child and sibling of club stronghold owner Iris is a girl use to speaking her mind but also never getting the attention she craves from the doms around her until Master Law is assigned to watch her during her latest punishment the orderly and in control dom finds himself drawn to the beautiful woman and agrees to scene with her unafraid of her brother like so many other doms it sets them on a course for much needed law and some disorder. This story was wonderful to read and I couldn’t put it down I sympathize with the characters struggles and loved the coming together of their relationship
This is my first Golden Angel book and I will be back to devour her entire collection! The spice! The story! The characters! I loved Laws personality. He is a kind, caring, benevolent man, who is well off but doesnt flaunt it. Iris is so relatable. Shes just struggling to find herself and make ends meet. Once she meets Law and he introduces her to a whole new, freer, world, she is better all around. If you havent read any of the Master of Marquis books (like I hadnt) it is a perfectly great standalone. However, I have a hunch once you finish this story you add every other book to your tbr immediately, just like I did
Law is all about following the rules. He doesn't have time for fun-n-games. Then he gets the task of playing "watch Dom" for a sassy girl who is needing a lesson.
Iris never intends on getting into trouble. Everything she does has good intentions, but she is on her last strike. No one is willing to 'take her in hand" because her older brother is also part of the scene. Then she is told that Master Law will be watching her. She is determined to prove she can be a good girl, but she has a plan of her own. Can she get him to "go with the flow?"
Yes, she has done it again! I am never disappointed with a Golden Angel story. She knows just what how to write these characters, and applys the right amount of spice ( or electricity) to burn up the pages. Also filled with laugh out loud moments, this one is an electrified 5 stars.
The storytelling drew me in from the start. Iris and Law are fully fleshed characters we get into their lives, get to know their friends, feel their burning chemistry. While some BDSM reads are mostly sexy times this one has a lot more depth. The world of Stronghold and Marquis clubs is like a family they are always in each other’s business, but only in a curious loving manner. Lots of angst comes from the H/h and also from supporting cast that I’m hoping will get their own story soon. I can’t wait.
Bratty sub Iris versus the orderly Dom Law. When opposites meet, and fall under a contract, can the boundaries be pushed? All Iris wants is for someone to see her, not as the younger sister of Andrew, but as a sub ready to fall under just the right dom. All Law wants is for someone to sub under his strict guidelines. Relationships are not for him, or so he believes. Will the brat put the disciplinarian to his heels? Will order cause her behaviour to change?
I don’t know if it was Golden’s plan to make Master Patrick even more approachable, but she’s done that here (yes, I do mean Master Patrick)! Law (Master Law himself) and Disorder (poor Iris; she glows after each “good girl”) is my current favorite of the Masters of Marquis, and it shows Iris struggling to do right by everyone but herself, with Master Law empowering her to finally focus on her own needs. This an amazing story of strength and redemption in a way, but also demonstrating how Andrew’s overprotectiveness has had the opposite of the intended effect and has left her more vulnerable. Oh, and I foresee much Noelle-related disaster in Marquis’ future.
We are back at Stronghold and Marquis and it is so much fun! Iris is at the club and always getting in trouble, but si ce her brother Andrew works there they are very indulgent with her . This time she is give one month of service duty under the watchfull eyes of Master Law Law is a by the book dom , stern and strict and finds himself losing control around Iris. Together they make the most uncommon pair but they fit together well.Their journey is not easy but they will find their HEA. An amazing cast of characters that will make you laugh and cry, I volunteered to review this great story!
Law and Iris were fire together. It was fun to see her disrupt everyone but get the loving, disciplined hand from Law, that she needed. Their chemistry is intense and I liked that it sort of developed slowly for him while he was teaching her.
I was given an ARC for this book , my first time reading anything from Angel and holy cow why haven’t I started! I was a little lost because it had character from other books but It wasn’t too bad and I got the idea who was who. The book was good, the ending was just there wasn’t expecting that, but that epilogue was a while new story!
Book 3 in the series and if you read the previous book you will see a lot of familiar faces.
To be honest it took me a few chapters to get into the book and the story and in the beginning I wasn’t sure what to think of Iris, she wanted to be treated as a responsible adult, but she came across juvenile at times, but she grew up during the book and learnt new things about herself and how to deal with difficult situations.
Law had a different backstory, but I wouldn't have minded a bit more in depth look into his past. And learn a bit more more about him and his feelings.
While I enjoyed the book it is not the best in the series and I think I missed interaction between the characters. I felt they each have a personal growth, but I kinda missed them together.
Golden Angel brings us a steamy story of people overcoming different life obstacles. Law is a gruff Dom who is controlled in everything he does. Iris is a sassy sub who doesn't like to be in her brothers shadow and will leap before she looks to get out of it.
Law and Iris have attraction that sets the pages on fire because they are like oil and water when it come to control and impulsiveness. But as they say opposites attract! I love how Golden balances these two characters! And as always she leaves little breadcrumbs at the end that makes us want more! Def a story worth your time!
This book brings all the interesting ins and outs of being a part of a BDSM club. A submissive that is having a bit of a hard time behaving, and a Dom that is a stickler for rules and order. This combination brings something to each of them and what a perfect combination. This was the first book I have read the dives into the use of electricity and I loved how it was brought in. I enjoyed the bit of education as they walked through the scene so I could truly imagine it all.
I just love the trope when the mmc/fmc doesn’t want a serious relationship or nothing at all but they will show the other character the ropes then they fall for one another . In this case the mmc Law helps out the fmc Iris with scenes, because her brother is over protective of her and the members of their club won’t come near her. But I hate her so called best friend noelle ,I think she is toxic because she doesn’t like iris go out with her other friends and talk to them. I think noelle will be a problem later
Very steamy read. There was a lot of story about all the relationships from previous stories as well as upcoming stories (I look forward to more). This book revolved mostly around Iris and Master Law. They were attracted to each other but unaware of the other's feelings. Reluctantly, Law became Iris' watcher, and she flourished under his praise. Despite the age difference, these two made a good couple in and out of the club. Iris was a lot stronger than she thought, though she had a roommate that pushed her buttons and she would cave. Law had a history that was hard for him to overcome. With encouragement from friends, he found a way beyond with Iris.
I received a copy of this story through Elle Wood Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
Yeah I really loved this book, the two Main Characters Law and Iris are so likeable and I was particularly impressed by the way this story begins. It is one the best openings I have read. A great opening really sets the tone for the entire story if it is done right and this was done really well. There are a lot of excellent scenes with lots of 🔥 🔥 🔥 and some most excellent butt stuff later in the story. I loved the Epilogue and I now want to read the next story!
Golden Angel strikes again! If you enjoy a roller-coaster ride then you'll love Law and Disorder. Master Law and Iris are the perfect example of opposites attract. Not only do you get to see the growth of Iris and Law's relationship you also get to see the sibling relationship from Iris's side. Jump into Law and Disorder and enjoy the ride.
Liked this but not my favourite of the series. I would've liked more lawyer-ing!
Slight spoiler:
There's a situation with an abusive dom at the end which escalates and Law says that if it hadn't escalated and he'd shown remorse, with some courses, he could've been allowed to play in the club again which really irked me 🥴
This book was not bad, but not particularly good either. It was boring. No story there. Also there was almost no development of the relationship. They barely express their love to each other (cca 97% of the book). They were living together way too fast. There was more text about heroine s relationship with her roommate than about relationship with the hero. That is just wrong. I also wanted know to about heroine s past, how she dealt with her mothers death, why she was so “wild” and of course I wanted to see how is her relationship with her brother. There were just few sentences about how she was annoyed with her brother, that was all. There was no conversation about that, no resolution, no conversation to make it better. I was no fan of epilogue either. Come on!!!! Evil roommate in submissive class? Really?????? Also conflict between Sam and Q? I think everybody already guessed what it will be.
I have mixed feelings about this series. I was really looking forward to reading Marquis series, but after reading three books I am disappointed. Bondage Buddies – best from these three. But there was way too much telling and very little showing. I had a feeling it was not concentrating on the couple very much. Master Chef – very boring. Very little story. Nothing interesting about couple. Most interesting thing was that hero was Luke s brother. Law and Disorder – Boring. More concentration on other characters than main characters and more importantly main characters together. There is something missing in these books. Maybe author concentrates more on sex scenes and other characters than on actual couples, romance and their relationships. There is a lot info about people / couples that will be in next books. There is so much info about Zach and Kincaid and their potential third already (according to author this will be the last book in the series). We know that Rae and Brian will be together, but their book is nowhere in sight (according to website it will come spring 2024, after three other books). Also a lot of hinting about Morgan s past, that I have a feeling that I will be disappointed after reading it. I think there are only two options for me. I already guessed correctly what will happen so there is no surprise. Or I guessed wrong and I will be disappointed because my expectations will be so much higher than “reality”.
I like this author. I just wish she will write about couple s relationships and not about everything and everyone else.

I'm so tired of books with no plot, no character development, and unrealistic depictions of dangerous so-called BDSM. This book is NOT that. Golden Angel writes books about realistic characters in realistic relationships that also have lots of sexy times and BDSM done right. She is absolutely one of my favorite contemporary romance/BDSM authors. Good book, good series, this is what I'm looking for in this genre.
BOOK:-LAW AND DISORDER-BOOK 3 OF THE MASTERS OF MARQUIS SERIES BY GOLDEN ANGEL BOOK REVIEWER-OKOKO AYEZU TAMARAPREYE SYNOPSIS A poetic style mafia-legal fictionl series about the Stronghold scening group of largely lawyers, where members registered and paid membership fees to sex scening with club submissives owned by Patrick with Lexie as his submissive. The story shows Iris reencounter with Master Patrick after her school at the club which he manages with Master Law a contract lawyer. We see Master Laws relations and perception of Iris from seeing her as trouble in the group grow into their having to scene together revealing Master Laws various sides from his smiling to strict side referred to by Iris as normal law;regular day law and lawyer law.It raises questions whether masturbation brought relief of release from tension;whether friendships based on what one had was worth it;whether it was much fun spendi g someone else's money compared to ones money; whether women loved the art of "ladies first" and admired men who practiced same?;whether some men got aroused by wild sex that elicited pain in their female partners;whether someone in pain couldn't make jokes; amongst others. LESSONS LEARNT FROM THE STORY ⛹️Think before acting APPLICATION OF LESSONS LEARNT FROM THE STORY I didn't quite understand what it meant to scene platonically, except it is an art.
'Law and Disorder' is Golden Angel's third book in her "Masters of Marquis" series and it adds to the plus column of the age-old question "do opposites attract?" Master Lawrence, dubbed Master Law by the submissives, is known at Stronghold and Marquis for being strict by the book Dom who, among other things, enjoys disciplining mouthy brats. Iris is the younger sister of Master Andrew, the bartender at Stronghold. Being siblings and members of the same BDSM club has its challenges. They don't play on the same night, of course. But of all things, Iris is finding it difficult to engage with play partners because no one wants to cross Andrew when it comes to his sister. And let's face it, Iris tries so hard to be good, but she's young and impetuous. At times, automatically react before following protocol. It finally hit a point where Patrick, the owner of Stronghold, decides she needs to be put on the watch to help correct her behavior and picks Law as the perfect Dom to do the job. It's sexy, enlightening, thoughtful, and just plain fun. The characters of Golden Angel's BDSM world are so full of personality that it's easy to forget they aren't someone I know in the physical world. What a great story.
A wonderful read, great characters, well written and great plot This was a wonderful read and I must warn that I am going to be careful not to spoil the story for other readers, I whatever I can to advise that like me once you begin reading this book you will be unable to put it down. Law, is a Master and he takes his responsibilities to his subs extremely seriously and ensure that those under his care are given the best of his abilities to ensure they know what to expect from Dom’s to ensure their safety. Iris is under his charge and he is inspired by her personality and the fact that she is such a well-suited sub, she thrives when he calls her “Good Girl” and the smile on her face lights a room for him and encourages him to be a better man, a better Master for her even though he does not immediately recognise this fact. I do not want to spoil the plot so will say no more about the three of them, I assure you that you will enjoy every single moment of this book. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
