Bobby and John Maslen developed the Bob Books, while Bobby was a teacher of 3 to 5-year-olds at a private school in Portland, Oregon. After many years of self-publishing, Scholastic became Bob Books’ publisher in 1995.
Quite boring, not enough about Sam’s background! And why did Sam’s friend Mat sit on top of them?? Lots of unanswered questions here. Absolute snoozefest.
This book is a work of art if you have kids or if you don't. The lengthy sentence structure helps the reader build sentence and vocabulary skills. As the reader, I was left with a few questions. Near the end of the book we see Mat sit on the cat. I am left wondering the state of the cat and would like answers. Is the cat okay? Is Sam okay? I would also like to know if Sam is okay with Mat sitting on him as I would like to know that and children reading this book are being taught the proper steps of asking for consent before sitting on someone/ being sat on. Overall, this book was a rollercoaster of emotions and I will be reading again. Keep up the great work!
