The time has come for humanity's last stand against the threat from the stars that unless it is stopped will wipe out all life on Earth.
The final instalment of the Earth Song series heralds the arrival of the Kimprak asteroid ship in our solar system and where the stage will be set for an epic confrontation.
Whilst Lauren and the team work to bring Tempest’s systems rapidly online, Eden is throwing all its resources into preparing starship for battle. Production is also working flat out to replace as many of the X-craft as possible after so many were lost at the battle with the Kimprak over Antarctica. With everything now on the line, they must also attempt to create a true alliance with a former enemy if our world to have any chance of defending itself from the alien threat.
When the Kimprak mothership is detected passing through the Oort Cloud it soon becomes apparent that the final battle in the orbit of Jupiter will be far worse than anything they could have ever imagined. Lauren will also be faced with the ultimate decision, but will she have the strength to go through what will be asked of her as commander before the end?
Earth Roar is the sequel to Earth Scream, and is part of the Multiverse Chronicles, an epic series of interlinked stories that includes the Fractured Light trilogy, following humanity’s struggle to survive across parallel universes.
Overall, this book is the best space adventure that I have read because it's not only contemporary times but it leads to the future. I loved all the characters despite some of the sappiness. I love the idea of the AIs I came with the various Angelus ships. Again, all the books were marred by the poor editing: repeated words, mixed words within a sentence, and missing words. Please cause the reader to have to reread the lines with the errors. This is the only reason why I knocked the rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. I look forward to future books and hope that the editing is a little better.
This series was my all time favorite sci fi series. The characters became my best friends. I laughed, sat on the edge of my seat, cheered and cried. The action and adventure was incredible. I would recommend this series to anyone. You don't even have to be a fan of sci fi You just need to love a good book with likeable characters, a mystery, a little romance, and lots of danger.
I guess I will have to wait for This to continue one day and I will do so as impatiently as ever!! I read 10 books after this book was released so I could delay the start because then I would read it to the end. That’s all I have to say because it’s like reading the best sci-fi movie. Thank you Mr. Cook.
I’ve finished all but the final book (not released yet). All were written well. I’m looking forward to the last book. The author has done an excellent job in creating a fast moving and an enjoyable experience in all of the books for the reader! A big THANK YOU to author Nick Cook!
This series has been a pearl of a find in a sea of dirty oysters of poor scifi. Great stories and concepts., action, romance, aliens and robots what more can one ask for?
Although there were well over 100 print errors/exclusions in the print by a poor job of editing. Also the author used the word "Whilst" entirely too often. But otherwise I enjoyed the storyline.
What a fantastic end to a fantastic series. Nick Cook wrote this series beautifully and I thoroughly appreciated it. Will continue to read more books from him.
