Emem Bassey loves romance in all its forms. She writes what she terms a hybrid romance - love stories with bits and pieces of other genres. All her stories carry plus size heroines and she staunchly believes the world is filled with tragedy, so she writes to entertain and lighten hearts. Emem lives at Uyo, Akwa Ibom State and is basically a ghost to her neighbors.
This book took me through a lot of emotions. I felt bad for Kate and the way she was treated as a child. And as an adult also. Really most of the characters suffered from some type of trauma in this book. This was a great read and I enjoyed the story.
