Rate this book
Hell is an office building, and its ruler is tall, dark, and kinky.

Death isn’t what Sophia expected. She’s no angel, so finding herself in Hell isn’t shocking, but finding out the devil plans to make her his newest plaything is more than she bargains for.

Luc has her tied up in knots, right where he wants her. He knows it’s only a matter of time before his twisted desires will break her. After all, broken toys are easily discarded. This time, however, he finds his pet a bit more challenging.

Sophia is determined to hold up her end of the bargain and seek her revenge. But will her only chance at vengeance cost her entrance to Heaven?

In the realms of Heaven and Hell, Angels and Demons are not what they seem. Step on the elevator and find out if you can take the heat…..

Gladys Cross writes steamy and morally gray contemporary romances.

Her heroes are damaged, heartbroken, sometimes not all the way sane, and heart-stoppingly drool worthy.

She’s not afraid to tackle the mafia, bikers, your common criminal, vampires, werewolves, or even the devil himself.

When she isn’t dipping her toe into the darker side of love, she converts into mom mode. She’s not above instigating water gun fights, but her favorite pastime is beating her daughter and husband in a game of cards.

Sophia has died and gone to Hell where she meets the devil himself, Luc. She strikes a bargain with him and becomes his secretary in exchange for a way to Heaven. But Hell may not be as bad as she thought it would be.

Devil's Secretary is a fun, short, steamy romance that more than I expected. Usually when you have shorter books, you lose part of the plot or the writing suffers, but this book didn't do either. It was well written, and the plot didn't take a hit due to its length. The author gave us fun characters, steamy scenes, and book that is 100% worth the read.

The author provided a copy. This is my honest review.

If you're tired of reading the same story with different characters, this book offers a refreshing change. Even the devil himself has his favorites. As a side note, this book is definitely not for the young and is very sexually graphic. It's a touch more graphic than I would usually read, but overall the unique concept kept me reading on to see where it would lead - and what a surprise at the end!

This book is dark, paranormal, super erotic, and more like a short story, but it was a great read. I enjoyed the whole storyline and the dominant and submissive bits as well. Sophia is a firecracker, and Luc (the devil ) whipped by women was definitely worth the read.

Sophia begins this story by remembering how her story started with her death. We are instantly thrust into the paranormal aspect of this book with her arriving in hell. This book gets mature really fast with steamy scenes and deceitful conversations.

This book does get erotic, including dominant and submissive scenes, lots of explicit content, and an exciting storyline. But we get the devil's point of view as well, and he is a horny evil man, and of course, we get the steamy scene from his point of view. However, Sophia is a firecracker, and I love her sass; she may just give the devil a run for his money. I enjoyed the read but wished it had more length.
