Will they get their second chance at love, before fate rips it away?
As a child, Kostya (Konstantin) Barona barely escaped Russia with his life when his father was dragged off by the secret police and he watched his mother brutally murdered. Now that he leads a Navy SEAL team, his whole life is based around rescuing those in need.
Lark Sorensen is an investigative journalist. There had never been an injustice that she didn't want to scrutinize and throw a spotlight on so the world would know about the atrocities going on around them.
Months ago, Kostya and Lark worked together in Afghanistan to help save a mother and her two little girls, and now they're meeting up again to do the same thing. But the fiery sparks everyone expected to fly seem to have sputtered out. But little do the couple know the passion that lies underneath.
Now as lives are on the line, can these two work together to get everyone out alive? Or will the injustices of the world finally drag them under?

Get your crying towels out! The first part of this story is gut wrenching and had me tearing up like crazy. From then on, it's full on action, drama and danger. Kostya lost his parents at an early age in the dead of winter in Russia and it's haunted him ever since. Lark is an investigative reporter who loves digging for the truth in the stories she reports on. The two meet up and it's fireworks but there are forces at work who are after her. Can Kostya save her or will he lose her like he lost his parents? This story is a page turner. If you like military, hot SEALS and strong women, this is the book for you!! Ms. O'Leary has never disappointed me with any book I've read of hers. She's a gifted storyteller and is always on my list of authors that I love.
Her Selfless Warrior is book 1 in the Omega Sky series by Caitlyn O’Leary and what a great start to this series!
We met Kostrya and Lark before in Her Righteous Protector and now it’s time for their story. From him as a young child in Russia and all he goes through to get to America, becoming a Navy Seal, rescuing those in need and the connection that started in Afghanistan…
Suspense, emotional, past scars for both, challenges, twist, turns and so much more. This series like all others from Ms O’Leary will get you hooked from the first page!! Can’t wait for the next book in this series.
They talk freely in a public place about Kostya being a Navy Seal. Most books I read that's a no no. There's action, heat, suspense and intrigue. After what he witnessed with his family in Russia and losing his older brother, Roman, when they escaped, it's been hard on him even though he's 41 now. Lark is a journalist and that had a mission together in Afganistan years ago. There is definitely heat between these two, but she makes him work for it. HEA.
One you won't be able to put down from the very beginning to the last page. Has all the feels! Great characters well written and overall a great start to a new series. Kosta is definitely worthy of being a book boyfriend and Lark is a very admirable woman all on her own. Second chance and friends to forever all in one. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review
While I loved the romance, sizzle, intrigue and suspense in Her Selfless Warriot I was completely riveted to the action sequences involving Kostya's SEAL team. They were written in such great detail that I couldn't read fast enough to find out what happened next. Fabulous! In addition, Caitlyn O'Leary's characters are richly diverse and complex. I found myself rooting for Kostya and Lark from the get go. I can't wait to read the next xeries book.
I was all in, couldn't stop reading. Right from the prologue, which gutted me btw. So realistic, I won't forget Kostya's early years' journey for a very long time. Modern day Kostya, well, let's just say I want one of him, exactly like him. He overcame so much, and is a born protector, with the patience of a saint. He has to have that patience, he's the Lieutenant of Omega Sky, need I say more? Nah. There's a hairy mission expedited as well, and, where else, but Russia. Yes, irony here. So, now I get to Lark, lucky woman that she is, she's captured Kostya's interest (his heart really). She's also super independent, rather fearless, and has no need of Kostya’s protective instincts. Or so she thinks, until she does. Great meshing of all characters, well-oiled teammanship, serious drama. Their dialog had me going from sweating bullets to LMAO'ing, in 60 seconds or less. Their heat was dynamic and earthy, yet so beautiful and ethereal. There may have even been funny bits which made it imperfectly perfect to me. It all just worked for me right to the sigh worthy, extra poignant HEA. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are strictly my own. I have also purchased Her Selfless Warrior because it's just that damn good. This is a complete stand alone, with mentions of previous characters from other series, so for even more goodness, I recommend y'all read all Ms. O'Leary's written journeys. Awesomeness!
This book opens with a look at Kostya (Konstantin) Barona's haunting past. It's not something he thinks about often but is definitely something that has shaped him. Back to the present and we see him with his sister Irina and her children that starts him thinking.
Lark Sorensen is on the phone with her best friend Amy as she parks at the venue for Riya's award ceremony. After hearing Amy is injured, she almost heads to Baltimore but is talked out of it by Amy promising to sleep. She also tries to reach her informant Candy again before entering, she's starting to get worried about the lack of contact. You'll remember Lark Sorensen was the one who refused to leave Afghanistan without Ebrahem's wife Samira and their daughters Taja, and Nazy. Her mother is now spoiling those children and Samira as well. She finds out just how spoiled when she runs into Kostya before the award ceremony.
There's an attraction there that can't be denied, and Kostya does some pretty interesting maneuvering to have dinner with Lark. Unfortunately, before this start to a relationship can get any further, he's called on a mission.
While Kostya's away, Lark does more investigating into Candy's whereabouts and doesn't like what she finds out. Candy's in the wind and she needs to find her. She gets her friend Amy to agree to go to the casino where Candy's sister Dawn works on the weekend. Of course, that's when Kostya returns wanting another date.
Thinks heat up for them at this point but it also brings up some bad memories for Lark. She is able to get past that and this book starts to smolder with the heat. He also puts his nose into Lark's investigation and insists on calling in Ryker to join them all at the casino.
Kostya not only has Ryker helping but also his computer expert Gideon as they head to Florida to find Dawn and Candy.
Kostya and Lark's relationship continues to build as does the suspense and intrigue surrounding her investigation.
I couldn't put this book down and I am adding this new series to my TBR pile.
Her Selfless Warrior is the first book in Caitlyn O’Leary’s new Omega Sky Series, where we see Kostya and Lark meet up again. Kostya is the Lieutenant and fearless leader of the Omega Sky Navy SEAL Team, and Lark is an investigative reporter who ended up in the middle of a previous mission in Afghanistan. While there has always been an attraction between them, they never acted on it. This is Kostya’s chance to see how deep the connection goes. I really enjoyed uncovering the layers of these two characters that have had my attention for awhile. To be honest, the prologue elicited so much emotion from me, with how authentic the descriptions were about Kostya’s childhood trauma and leaving Russia, that I took my time more with this book than I usually do. As always, the world building is great in this book. Some of the other members of Omega Sky are already familiar, if you’ve read some of Caitlyn O’Leary’s other SEAL series. The comradery and witty banter is top notch. I love when a book can go from serious or emotional or passionate one minute to laugh out loud funny the next. As far as Lark, she was an ideal female character—strong, independent, resourceful, yet compassionate, and loving. She didn’t need Kostya or any man, but she had the capacity for love, respect, and compromise. Kostya was your quintessential protective, Alpha male, but he also had the most loving heart, and the ability to listen and respect Lark’s abilities. Oh, and the chemistry was smoking hot!!!🔥 Aside from the scars of their pasts, they also have a whole other mess to deal with from one of Lark’s cases that brings plot twists, tons of action, and a few unanswered questions to boot that I hope will get tackled in future Omega Sky books! It looks like Gideon might be next, and I can’t wait for it!!
I received an advanced review copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
Her Selfless Warrior is the first book in the Omega Sky series by Caitlyn O’Leary and is the story of Kostya and Lark. Kostya is the leader of Omega Sky and we met the team and Lark in Her Righteous Protector. Kostya escaped Russia as a child and Lark survived some trauma in her childhood, but they are both strong, smart and dedicated individuals. Kostya in the past has not dated particularly strong women and Lark challenges him at every turn, but the connection between them is strong and undeniable. As the story begins, there is a short pause in the relationship as Omega Sky is sent on a mission that could have almost been ripped from the headlines. The mission keeps you on the edge of your seat as the team overcomes some big challenges – they are of course successful and Kostya can return to courting Lark. Lark is an investigative journalist and her current story will put her life in danger. Dating a SEAL certainly comes in handy in those circumstances. While Lark is working to get evidence on the wrong doers, she and Kostya build a relationship that quickly becomes serious for both. Lark initially does not fully grasp the level of danger that she is in and it takes the Omega Sky team to rescue her when the bad guys strike. I always enjoy books where the female main characters are smart and resourceful and Lark does not disappoint. Kostya while protective recognizes that she is extremely capable and does not smother her. He also matches her intellect and their repartee is quite fun to read. This is a great start to a new series and I am looking forward to reading the stories about the rest of the team. While this is a complete stand-alone, we do hear about character from earlier books and get updates on their lives. I got this book as ARC in exchange for an honest review. I strongly recommend this book or really anything by this author.
This is book 1 in the Omega Sky series, and be prepared-the beginning will gut you. As a child, Kostya (Konstantin) Barona watched his father get dragged away by the secret police of Russia and his mother was killed before his eyes. He barely escaped with his own life. Now he is in charge of a Navy SEAL team and has made his life all about rescuing those in need. Lark Sorensen is an investigative reporter who has never backed down from a story that needed to be told. She knows that the world needs to know about the atrocities going on around them. Months ago, these two worked together in order to save a mother and her children in Afghanistan. Now they are working together again, and while others are waiting for the sparks to fly between them again-it seems to have fizzled out. Can these two work together again or will they break apart?
I absolutely loved this story!! Kostya went through something as a child that no child should ever have to live with or through. It marked him in ways that most people would never expect. And it was absolutely heart breaking. But it also shaped him into the man he grew up to be. And that man is a beautiful man inside and out. He has a heart of gold, even if he is afraid to let others in because he doesn't want to be hurt again. Lark has this sense of justice that you can't help but admire, even if it sometimes leads her into danger. These two together? Absolutely loved them! The banter and back and forth between them was great. The chemistry was definitely hot and off the charts. But beyond all that, just the fact that they learned how to truly trust each other and be there for each other-that is what made me love this story so much! Another great read and I can't wait to see where else this series takes us!
So the Omega Sky adventure begins with the wonderful Kostya & Lark, so worth the wait, thank you Caitlyn O’Leary you have another winner! Sexy Navy Seal and leader of the Omega Sky Team, Kostya Barona is just one of those characters you want in your life, alpha male and a protector to his core, moulded by the tragic events surrounding his flight from Russia as a child, the guilt and weight of which he still carries. Add in his humour, the twinkle in his eye and very caring nature and you have a keeper. Investigative journalist Lark Sorenson is smart, independent and single-minded in her pursuit of the truth and justice. Their paths have crossed several times before and Kostya decides that it's time to act on the sparks that fizzle between them but Lark isn't about to make it easy for him, confident in her abilities she's in no need of a protector. The chemistry is hot but there is also fun and humour too, Kostya brings out her sass and Lark brings out his playful side. There is action and suspense and as always with this author’s Seals, the team dynamic and interaction is just perfect! The story is both heart-breaking and heart-warming, plenty of heat and humour and wonderful characters, thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended. Both characters have appeared in previous books but this can be read as a standalone however you are massively missing out if you don’t read all of Ms O’Leary’s books.
What a ride!! Caitlyn O’Leary has certainly knocked it out of the park with the diamond of a story. Kostya is a larger than life character who bounds his way into your heart and burrows in for the duration. I knew the moment I met him he could slay every dragon in his path. He is the ultimate protector, as alpha male as they come, loving, caring and family orientated. Who wouldn’t fall in love with a man like this who can also kick some serious ass without breaking a sweat. It’s heartbreaking to watch him carry what he considers his failings on his shoulders even all these years later. Lark is a badass. She’s totally confident in her abilities to do whatever is necessary to protect those who can’t protect themselves and find the truth. She is a beautiful character. Full of life and vigour for her calling. Together Kostya and Lark are a stunning couple. Their chemistry is like a bolt of lightning in the dark night sky. It’s all consuming and utterly beautiful to watch. Watching them work together with his team with seamless ease, the understanding of brother-in-arms being family was clear and all encompassing. This is a beautifully addictive story. She has truly surpassed expectation in this unforgettable and heartwarming rollercoaster ride you never want to get off. Can’t recommend highly enough. 5 stars does not do this story justice.
First in a series, Her Selfless Warrior has enough references to previous novels in related series to keep Caitlyn O'Leary fans happy. I've only read one or two previously, and while this book works just fine as a standalone, it's clear that Kostya and Lark have a past that began in another book somewhere.
I adored Kostya. Older than the typical SEAL hero at 41, he's written with just the right amount of maturity while still being squee-ishly sexy. Lark is a good partner for him; though 10 years younger, she's got her act together and (mostly) doesn't do stupid things. Honestly, I'm not much of a fan of reporter heroines, but she didn't get on my nerves.
Their growing relationship rolls slowly but satisfyingly for the first part of the book--a fairly significant chunk takes place in Russia, where Kostya's SEAL team is on a mission to save several missing biologists. This storyline is independent from the rest of the plot; I'm not sure if it's meant to set up a subsequent book. It didn't bother me at all, but it does seem an odd addition. As for Lark's big story, it seems a little lacking in development and, while it sort of wraps up, it's not fully finished, and I'm not sure if it'll come back in another book.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. I received a copy of this book for free. I'm writing this review voluntarily, and it reflects my honest opinion. Thanks!
This may be a new series but we get to meet, whether "in person" or not some of my favourite seals from other teams.
Kostya had a harsh childhood in Russia. He loves his new country, so much so that he joined its military. He's now a finely honed warrior with a selfless heart. He loves his teammates, his family and he has an unrelenting attraction to Lark. She may have been saved by him once but there is nothing damsel-in-distress about Lark. She may not know one end of a gun from the other, her weapon of choice is the written word.
Lark loves solving a puzzle and bringing those who need it some justice. Her latest story may just blow up in her face - luckily she has a SEAL team on speed-dial!
Lark could have turned out all kinds of spoiled but she has a strong streak of independence and doesn't use her privilege for her own benefit. Kostya may be slightly older than her but he can meet her head on in just about everything - and the bonus? Her mother approves of him already!
The banter between the main couple and between the team is just everything you want it to be. The description of the Russian countryside had me reaching for my woolly socks!
4.5 stars. I really liked the last 40% of this book but the first 1/2 was a little boring for me. But it’s just my personal taste and what I prefer in a book. I’m a romance reader and I love it when the MC’s interact together a lot. The first part had Kostya and Lark doing their own thing. I got to see Kostya and his Seal team in action and how they work in an op. But the op went on longer than I thought it needed to. Not that I didn’t enjoy it. I just kept wondering what the significance was and when I was going to get to see him and Lark interact. Once he was back from his op and she did a bit of her own investigative stuff, the book takes off with them deepening their relationship and he starts helping her with her investigation. They have several sweet tender moments and hot steamy scenes. I also enjoyed their banter. I like that she is a strong capable person who compliments his strong protective nature. His dynamic with is teammates is real cool also. Since the last part of the book was so enthralling, I’ll give the next book in this series a try.
Her Selfless Warrior is the first book in Caitlyn O'Leary’s brand-new series, Omega Sky, and as with previous books by this author, the content is heartfelt, sometimes confronting, but always real. A well-written storyline that is jam-packed with action, danger, suspense, and romance, Her Selfless Warrior is certain to be a winner with readers. Kostya, a Navy SEAL team leader, is the epitome of strong, fearless and dedicated to protecting the innocent, while Lark Sorenson is whole-heartedly focused on injustice and the need to uncover what others would rather keep hidden. Together they create a formidable team, but it’s not just their desire for justice that draws them together; passion of a different kind will also surface as their story unfolds. Ms O’Leary is well known for her strong, Alpha males, but it’s often the independent, sassy and intelligent females who capture their hearts that ultimately steal the show.
I received an author ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This story is full of action, adventure, and is very romantic. He had a theory. “That friends make a great foundation for something more than just friends.” She hated owning up to any kind of weakness. Life had taught her that strong men like him could take advantage. Maybe I have it all wrong.
Kostya is from Russia. He came to America with his little sister. Now he's a Navy SEAL. He was currently sitting in a hotel waiting for Riya, the wife of a SEAL, to get an award. “Then his eyes caught hers in the mirror and his lip twitched. He raised his glass slightly as if in salute before taking a swallow.” He had met Lark in Afghanistan. What was she doing here?
Lark is an investigative journalist. Her informant was missing and she's worried. She was currently at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco to see Riya get an award. When she walked in, there he was sitting at her table. She had met Kostya and his team in Afghanistan. But what was he doing here?
Wow. Another great one. Kostya and Lark might just be my new favorite Caitlyn O'Leary couple Kostya is an amazing hero, he's got enough of that protector in him but not so much that you want to smack him for being overbearing (as has become kind of common in military romance) and when he does get caveman he recognizes it and gets it in check ON HIS OWN. Lark is an amazing strong woman you definitely is smart but able to recognize her own limitations, my kind of woman. My one thing was that the plot felt like two plots pushed together: the mission which was a huge part of the book and then the danger that involved Lark. I'm wondering if something about that mission will come back in future Omega Sky books. All in all it was great catching up with the team we met in earlier books and learning more about Lark and seeing her fleshed out. Another great one! I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
HER SELFLESS WARRIOR Omega Sky Book 1 by Caitlyn O'Leary
What an awesome start to this new series by Caitlyn O'Leary! Her Selfless Warrior was impossible to put down once started. Kostya and Lark are a wonderful couple. We first met them (in a past book) when they worked together to help rescue a woman and her two little children. Kostya, at the age of seven, escaped from Russia after watching his mother murdered and his father dragged off by the KGB. He brought with him, his little sister and his sickly brother. Fast forward and he is a Navy Seal and the leader of the Omega Sky team. Lark is an investigative reporter. She is also smart, strong and sassy. When her informer goes missing, things are turned upside down for Lark. Can Kostya and his team get there in time to save her? This story has plenty of intrigue, suspense, danger, and on fire chemistry. The secondary characters are great too. I am looking forward to more in this series. This is 5 stars.
This story begins a new series that promises to be a huge hit. This one belongs to Lark Sorenson and Navy SEAL LT Kostya/Kostantin Barona. These two met in Afghanistan as they worked to save a mom and her girls. The attraction was there, but the mission ended and both went their separate ways. They meet again and this time, Kostya is determined to do something about it. Lark is a strong and independent woman who will be hard to convince they should be together. That all changes when danger comes to them. In this action packed story, filled with bad guys and alpha good ones, we are not only introduced to the new series but are also reminded that one’s childhood does in fact affect the adult one becomes. As is the case of both of the main characters. This book was definitely a strong first book in the series. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Kostya learnt at a young age that evil exists when he had to take on the role of protector which has led him to his career as a Navy SEAL. Although his first meeting with Lark a few years earlier wasn’t under ideal circumstances that didn’t diminish his attraction to her so when she finds herself in danger there is nothing he won’t do to protect her.
Lark is a journalist who has always tried to expose the wrongs of the world. She and Kostya have finally acknowledged their feelings for each other but as the chemistry escalates between them so does the danger around them and it will require the entire team to ensure they escape with their lives and each other.
Lark is strong and doesn’t back down from any challenge which is one of the things that Kostya loves about her even though he doesn’t want her in danger. The banter between them is entertaining, the intrigue keeps you guessing and the romance is heartwarming.
When he was a child, Kostya and his siblings were forced to flee their home after their mother and father were killed. They left Russia, in winter, on foot, to Poland. Now years later Kostya is a lieutenant in the Navy SEALs and doesn't talk about his childhood. Lark is an investigative reporter and was in Afghanistan with Kostya's SEAL team several years ago. She's working on a story and her informant has disappeared. They run into each other at a function and Kostya convinces Lark to have dinner with him. Kostya helps Lark look for her informant and refuses to let her do it alone. When the bad guys get her name, she's taken and Kostya will move heaven and earth to find her.
Excellent story. Action. Suspense. Sex. A SEAL who's job is to protect the ones he loves. A woman who is too stubborn for her own good. They make a great couple. They both had traumatic childhoods but doesn't let it keep them down.

This story grabs you from the very beginning and pulls you in and holds you hostage all the way to the very end….
Kostya Barona lives with dark demons from his childhood in Russia. But as a Navy Seal he’s learned to lock his feelings away to complete his missions. Lark Sorensen is an investigative journalist who repeatedly puts herself in danger to protect others so she can bring criminals to justice. But she’s hiding her own painful past. From the moment Kostya and Lark met 3 years ago they were drawn together, but the timing wasn’t right. Now Kostya and Lark are together again and this time Kostya is ready to make his move. But his little reporter may have stepped into a mess she can’t control when she gets kidnapped. Can Kostya and his team find her in time? “I voluntarily received this arc book for an honest review”

It's been a long time coming for the guys on Omega Sky SEAL Team to get their series, and what a beginning! Kostya (Konstantin) Barona fled Russia when his parents were killed by Russian soldiers. Now he serves as a lieutenant and leads his own Navy SEALS team Omega Sky. Lark Sorensen is an investigative journalist who isn't afraid to go after anyone and expose them. Months after the two saw each other after they helped rescue a family in Afghanistan they see each at the same bar waiting to hear a mutual friend speak. Kostya and Lark were the perfect match for each other and the way Lark interacts with the rest of Team was at times laugh out load funny. The banter between the members of Omega Sky during some intense moments was some of my favorite laugh out load moments. Can't wait to learn more about each member and how they fall for their women.
An amazing start to what I know will be another series of don't put me down books. I love Kostya, he is a big sweetheart, in a hot man's body. Lark is perfect for him; strong, independent, and with a heart of gold. Neither one of them had great childhoods but together they begin to heal and fall in love with someone who will make their lives complete. As Lark states; he's her prince charming and someone who makes her believe in fairytales. I'm excited to read Gideon's book next, but even more excited for Ryker's ..... please let it be with Lark's bestfriend Amy.
If you haven't read the other series by Caitlyn O'Leary I recommend you start them. I haven't read one I didn't like, and every character is almost more amazing than the one before, yet all equally sweet and hot at the same time.
I loved Kostya (Konstantin) Barona and it was great how the author started the story with his childhood, he barely escaped Russia with his life when his father was dragged off by the secret police and he watched his mother brutally murdered. This had my heart hurting for the young Kostya.
The book then begins with present day, Kostya is a Navy SEAL team leader, the story is action packed with the the teams mission's.
Lark Sorensen is an investigative journalist. Months ago, Kostya and Lark worked together in Afghanistan to help save a mother and her two little girls, and now they're meeting up again on another situation Lark has uncovered.
This book kept me up reading long into the night and I read it over the weekend.
Ms O'Leary has a talent for creating Book series that you can't help falling in love. Grab this new series now.
Her Selfless Warrior is a phenomenal romantic suspense by Caitlyn O'Leary. Ms. O'Leary has once again provided readers with a well-written book populated with a stellar cast of characters. Kostya and his sister escaped Russia and he's now a Navy SEAL. Lark is a journalist and worked with Kostya and his team to rescue a mother and her daughters. Months later Kostya still has Lark on his mind. Their story is packed with drama, humor, smokin' hot sexy bits, action and suspense. The dialog in this book is a plus. I loved every page of this book and look forward to my next book by Ms. O'Leary. Her Selfless Warrior is book 1 of the Omega Sky Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.
I read a print copy of this book, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the first book in the Omega Sky series and Caitlyn Oleary started it off with another phenomenal story that will have you crying in the beginning and then having you so completely engrossed in the rest of the book that you don't want in it to end. Kostya Konstantin Barona was only 7 years old when his life was completely destroyed and took the roll of being the caretaker of his sister and brother and escape the soviet union and were brought to the US to live and now is a lieutenant of the navy seals Omega Sky group and still trying to deal with his past but also wanting to get to know Lark Sorenson investigating journalist who was captured with him before now they cross paths again and he can't let go of his feelings for ,but when she gets into trouble can Kostya and his team save her in time? This book was absolutely fantastic.
The opening of this book is heart-wrenching, and the eventual reveal of the end of Kostya’s journey will break your heart all over again. This is the first in Caitlyn O’Leary’s new Omega Sky series, and that is good news because we’ll see more of the whole team (and Kostya and Lark). The story is difficult to condense here, but there is heat, there’s a lot of emotion (from both Kostya and Lark), and there is banter that could go on longer. The other members of Kostya’s team are a joy, as always in these books, and the action visits new spaces that are exceptionally pertinent in mid-2022. I recommend this book; enjoy it with a coffee and snack, and have tissues on hand – but drink wisely because, where it’s funny, it’s laugh-out-loud.
This story is everything I expected it to be from this author!
I found this story to be immediately full of intense emotions and heart-wrenching angst, full of action and loads of suspense.
It has some very hot, sexy moments which blended well with Lark’s feisty wit and confidence as well as her quick intelligence. I also love Kostya’s growth from such a rough and dangerous childhood that molds him into the brave warrior that he is today. It doesn’t hurt that he is also big, strong and very capable to carry out what he intends to do.
This story captures your attention from the first page and keeps you invested until the end. Sleep in unnecessary while devouring this book! Love, Love, Love it!
