My #1 Fan (Inspired by True Events)

Rate this book
Explore deeper inside the dark mind of Sea Caummisar.....

Inspired by true events, even though some names have been changed.

A blur of reality and fiction.

As a new author, I enjoy having fans and getting fan mail from my readers. This story details my meeting with the first fan that asked me to autograph a paperback version of Deadly Reality TV Series Book #1 Easy Money.

Dedicated to Marcy (even though I changed your name, you know who you are).

In my experience, it wasn't the fan that became obsessed with me. I became obsessed with her.

Despite this book being inspired by true events, it is still a tale of blood of gore.

Reader beware: Don't let the title fool you.... This is extreme horror.

Wow !!!
How am I going to review this book ?

The Main Character, is an author of Horror stories, who meets her first Fan, for the first time. Things seems simple, but it really isn’t.

This book is a real horror story and a very gory one.
If you’re looking for an unusual brutal, really brutal and monstrous horror story this book is for you .
After reading this story , i know that I will never ( I’m kidding) asked an author to sign his book for me .

It’s too dangerous to be a Fan !!!
Why ???
If you can stomach a well written ,deranged ,brutal horror book , read this book and you’ll know why .

I highly recommend this book to readers who aren’t afraid to dive in an insane mind.

I tried to read this during the night as my insomnia was kicking in and I wanted something short with extreme elements to it. This book ends up as a "dnf" unfortunately as it was just a weird tale supposedly from the view of the author herself and has quite a bit of extreme torture throughout the book. As the book states - there are some parts true and some not, but it just pulled me more into the twilight zone and that was not a place I wanted to be at 3:00 in the morning. Though I have to say that it was creative and though it wasn't for me doesn't mean that other people will not like to read it. Different strokes for different folks is my motto. No star rating either as I don't star books I don't finish.

As I like to believe that I always try and write positive, fair and supportive comment to assist authors in furthering their careers, just writing this review leaves me with a feeling of dread that, for some reason, is just so difficult to shake off. Am I going to be contacted to meet to discuss and analyse particular aspects set within the story? Please no, no, no...but, and from a safe distance, SC you still get a big thumbs up from me for this quirky, absorbing and brutally good story.

Marcy is a big, big fan, so how can this information be used to maximum advantage? Reward and pleasure - together!

This is truly an enlightening, original and highly professional concise and clear critique into the possible process and procedure in gaining practical experience in the black arts of both torture and cruelty in order to gain a much valued insight into 'feeling the vibes' for good horror stories to truly succeed. Naturally, it gets right to the point, and I may just mean to the point, quite literally.

Yes, a really good read, and highly recommended, but please, SC, do not contact me for further comment. In fact, best just to consider me as fan no. 666...beware!

Oh joy, 'My no.2 Fan' is out now, so only 664 others to go - will be giving it a read, but definitely keeping it on the quiet!

Rating 4.2 stars.

This extreme horror story by author Sea Caummisar gave me the shivers and had me reading through my fingers in places. The perfect Spooktober read! The narrator is an author who is preparing a novel and is in search of a beta reader. When an ardent fan contacts her, they meet and the fan becomes a “beta” for much more. Many of these scenes are not for the faint of heart. Caummisar knows how to write a good scary story that doesn’t pull the punches. Lots of tongue in cheek moments for writers. Recommended for horror fans looking for a good scare.

Thanks to this book, I have finally figured out what is contributing to my lacking as a writer. A true artist will go to any length to improve their craft. And they do it because they care. Care about you, the reader. I will take this story as inspiration as I begin the path towards true, unfiltered storytelling. Now, off to the local Walmart parking lot to find a beta reader or two.

With any luck, since I have now written it down, maybe it will leave my mind for good. If I can’t sleep after publishing this, I will start taking my sleeping pills once again.

This books really taught me a lot. Along with how hard it is to crack skulls open, or how badly it smells when you burn fake fingernails down to the finger tips, I also learned that beta testing just isn’t for me. Also, I think I’m going to continue getting my signed books mail ordered, I don’t want to have a bad experience like Marcy when meeting an author! True events or not, this book is entertaining and captivating.

*Audiobook*
Listened to this cringy book to/from work today. I had to turn it off while at lights or when I went to the ATM because people were giving me funny looks, lol. I’m sorry - we don’t all listening to extreme horror while driving?! Well, excuse me!! 🤣🤣

There were 2 parts I had to skip ahead 30 seconds because I just couldn’t handle it…. That says a lot because I have been a horror junkie almost my entire life, but splatterpunk is new-ish to me and I’m jumping in headlong with some doozies!

The loss of a star is due to the sudden and abrupt ending, which sort of confused me. It was like the story was fast forwarded and I’m not sure why.

Overall, solid story, gross & gripping. Also, incredibly terrifying!!

Not a fan!

Brilliant! I was captivated from beginning to end! I literally COULD NOT put it down, I know that’s so cliche but it’s the only way to describe it. In fact, I’m writing this review on the toilet, because I couldn’t even take my eyes off to pee! That says a lot about a book when you risk acquiring a nasty UTI! If you enjoy extreme psychological horror, gory details, and dark humor this is the book for you. However, it’s worth noting that I am NOT a fan! I look forward to reading more of her work, even though I’m not a fan...like at all! (I even made that the headline)
If my review has confused you I apologize, read the book, but not before using the restroom! Enjoy.

Sea’s done it again!

This was an enjoyable story that explores what happens when the author becomes obsessed with a fan. It was a short, gory, and unique story well worth the read. Some of the scenes were utterly brutal, but I won’t give all the author’s secrets away. If you looking for a story that packs some punch, I highly recommend this. I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next.

Twisted, Extreme Entertainment.

My first read from this author, but certainly not my last. I blazed through it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. I had a blast reading it, and the writing is really good. Highly recommended for fans of extreme horror.

I've had a reading slump due to having little time but I know I can rely on this author to give me something I can get my broken teeth into. Full of gore but with an original storyline, I highly recommend this extreme horror.

This series lies somewhere between splatterpunk and memoir, telling the tale of Sea’s interactions with her top fans. The first person narrative from the author’s point of view leaves you wondering how much of these stories are true. After meeting up with her biggest fan, Sea decides her new friend will be a perfect beta tester to help make sure her horror scenes are 100% realistic.
Each of these books are quick reads, but the extreme depictions of torture will have me cringing long after finishing the series. Needless to say, these books are not for the feint of heart.

Wow, this was brilliant. Well written, unique, clever, funny, dark and brutal. This is a must read for extreme horror fans.

This was my first read by this author and it certainly won’t be my last. Sea Caummisar has a new fan in me. (Don’t tell her that though. I’m too scared).

Maybe I can be the next Fan, Who knows....

I love how the author made this horror book very detailed and its kinda different from the rest of the books. Sea Caummisar makes her books differnet in style rather than the other horror writers Ive read.

Sea Caummisar might be for adults but I love how she writes and tells her stories.

Her being the main character is so weird and newer rather than the other books she has written. How can someone make such a book about what they would do In a book. That's next level creativity!

Keep writing more books girl because I'm addicted and I hope I can be able to buy a phisical copy of your book for the book store even though I'm not aloud and only allowed to use my Kindle lol.

Never faults

Another great story from this author. This was brutal and quite violent, definitely an extreme read and not for the easily offended. March was a great character/victim. You can sort of understand the authors reasoning for reference, even if it is over the top. I thought I had read this book previously but turns out I hadnt. (I really must get my books in order) so I'm glad I checked. Just like the 2nd book its full of blood and gore and has you gripped from the beginning. Definitely recommend!

First off, I suggest everyone read the author’s disclaimer before purchasing this book. The book features extreme horror/gore, emphasis on the extreme. I don’t normally read this genre, but I was interested in this book because the reader views events through the malevolent narrator’s eyes. It was interesting to see the psychological justification the narrator had for carrying out atrocities. I was reminded of Caroline Kepnes’ You in that respect, as well as the Dexter series (books and TV). This book, however, has much more gore. I skipped over the gore and focused on the psychological horror elements. As a writer, I think reads such as these will help me write stronger villains. One needs to step into the minds of evil characters to create their own.

This book was like a reverse version of Stephen King’s Misery. It is the #1 fan who takes the brutality. This book is an extreme horror story and it has everything you want for this genre. Not for readers who have a weak stomach.

Don’t they always say.. don’t meet your favorite celebrities, or I guess… favorite authors in this case because you’ll be disappointed? This is the perfect example of that 😅

𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝, 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭? 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐧. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭?

"Inspired by true events"? WTF? I am dying to know how much, if any, of this tale is true. Imagine if the roles of Paul Sheldon and Annie Wilkes in Misery were reversed. That would be a truly crazy tale, and this is what MY #1 FAN is all about.

A first person narrator is telling us all about a reader who reached out to say she enjoyed her books, and the author was so touched by this connection, she invited her to beta read a book. Because what reader wouldn't jump at that chance? Only in this world, the beta reader is kept captive in the basement, and for the book to be truly realistic, acts of torture would need to be committed against the hostage; after all, the author doesn't really know what happens when someone's eyelids are cut off.

I love Sea's books, but they are not for the occasional reader of extreme horror. Check your trigger warnings before proceeding!

This was another fun story from Sea (or S.E.A.). I have really enjoyed the twisted stories by this author. This one seems to have a lot more of the author revealing things about themselves that really sound true. Obviously "based on" never really means anything in most cases but I think a lot of this story is true. This story is still gory but not as gory as a lot of the other stories by this author. I think this story shows the author is growing and not just writing funny sick stories, although that is a big part of the appeal. I think this is the first story by Sea that didn't make me feel nauseous at least once, still sick and funny though. Not for children or mentally stable individuals.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
