Jake was a military man but now he is the head of security for the Marshall family who are not only his best friend's but also his family but he is now at Danny's funeral who he was in the military with but he was also a father figure and one of Jake's best friend's so he is devastated that the cancer spread so quickly and Jake didn't get a chance to say goodbye. Jake knew how close Isabelle was to her father so when he saw her struggling at the funeral he stood beside her to offer his support. Jake and Isabelle had a strong connection between them fright from the start and such intense chemistry that charged the air around them but will be act on it knowing that he is betraying his best friend or will be wait for a sign and Make Isabelle his forever only time will tell. Jake is a protective person by nature but when he realised that Isabelle is in Grave danger he does everything that he can to protect her and give them a chance of being together. Omg I couldn't put this book down and even though it was so emotional that I cried it was so addictive and a real page turner. The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! This is book is part of the Boston Billionaires series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Isabelle is intelligent, smart, owns her own company and really close with her father. He was a military man through and through but the most amazing father who loved, taught Isabelle everything that she needed to know including self-defense so when he died from cancer Isabelle was devastated and so lost. Will he keep her safe, can they be together, who is after her, why are they after her, and can they find some peach and happiness together?
Romance and adventure It's a beautiful story, well written, hot, tender, with twists and turns linked to the events of the previous books, trafficking (but the story can be read on its own, that does not prevent you from understanding what is happening in it ). The story has a melancholy side from the start, with the funeral of Isabelle's former soldier father. During this sad event, she meets a stranger, whom she finds by chance a few days later, Jack. He was in the army with Isabelle's father, and despite the age gap, a strong mutual attraction developed between them. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
I couldn't put this book down. I loved getting to know Jake and Isabelle and their common love and adoration for Danny. Pinky fingers will never be the same after reading this book, at the funeral, in the ambulance, genius! So romantic! I melted down when I read the words "You have my permission", so perfect! Samantha Skye sure knows how to write for romantic readers. If you like reading love stories with a happy ending, and with some spicy scenes, this one is for you.
This book was about a girl who's dad died, and she had to find strength to get through the funeral. Little did she know her dad had sent strength her way.
In the form of Jack. Jack was smitten with Issy from moment one, and leaving her in DC was the hardest thing. When Issy turns down a marriage proposal, she goes to her dad's cabin to retreat ... and her world is turned upside down again.
But is it what she wants? Or him? Either way, this book is awesome!
Wonderful! Great finish to the series! Intrigue, love, suspense, action - it was all there. Isabelle was good. Though she did some reckless, thoughtless things, she redeemed herself when it came down to it. Jake was everything you’d hope for - strong, protective, dominant, sexy! Very much enjoyed this series!

Samantha Skye's new book Building Home is the fourth instalment from her series Boston Billionaires and readers be warned it's a guaranteed page-turner.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I give it 5 stars. This was one of those stories that hit home for me. The characters felt so real, so relatable and not forced. Nothing gets me more invested in a book when there's something so captivating about two people with completely different backgrounds and despite all obstacles just somehow find their way to each other because their love was meant to be. I love the chemistry between Jake and Isabelle. They couldn't be more fitting for each other. This is how good of a writer Samantha Skye is because I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

Great romance loaded with suspense when security specialist Jake meets his mentor's daughter Isabella/Izzy when her father passes and he steps to her side at the funeral as a show of support. When she decides to get away from the city she goes to her fathers cabin in the mountain not knowing that Jake's cabin is next door. They go through some suspense and danger only to cling to each other in a loving relationship even is Jake thinks he is too old for her. Loved it.
What a wonderful series. I really didn’t want it to end. I loved Isabelle and Jake! Again, another short story but right to the point. I love how much Isabelle’s dad brought them together and the details throughout the book and series, all tied together. Love love love!!
Wow! Finally I got Jake story! It did not disappoint! I loved every little about him and Isabelle! They had this strong connection with one another! You just knew it was going to be amazing! I’m so happy Jake and Belle got the ending they deserved! Such a beautiful ending to an amazing series! 🥰❤️
I was really looking forward to Jake's story. Jake and Isabell have great chemistry (the pinky touch), and I did like how Samatha tied up some loose ends. Their love story was sweet and a slow burn but once the flame was lit, there was a lot of spice. I do wish there were more "bows" since this was the end of the series. I also do enjoy extra epilogues and this series doesn't have any. One epilogue at the end of each book was it. The letter from her Dad to Jake was perfect, and I loved how they honored her Dad at the end of the book. Samantha never disappoints so start reading, it was a great series with great characters.
What a fantastic ending to this Boston Billionaire series, l so enjoyed this series! Building Home was Isabella and Jake's journey! I absolutely loved these two l think they might be my fave's in this series! Love the agegap, everything was just right in this story! Can't wait to see what Samantha brings us next!
I liked this book a lot (just like any other book I've read from this author!). However, what was different in this book and I did not like (and that's why I only give it 4 stars), is because I don't like when characters do something that is 'stupid'. Everyone else knows it's stupid and will get back to them later and it's just frustrating reading that. Other than that I enjoyed reading it
I read the books out of order. At this point this is my favorite in the series. She saved the best for last. This is a guy who is strong, loyal, and loving. He builds things with his hands which in my opinion is more of a turn-on than money or looks and he has those too. :)
Jake has a high danger career, meets Isabelle at her father's funeral. Instant attraction, but no actual introduction. Second meet is more private, and quickly changes their landscape. High energy, danger and passion. Strong female and swoony Alpha male.
Loved Jake! His overwhelming want to protect everyone was just so endearing. It was a very sweet story and I loved how it help finish up another book in the series.
This is the latest book in the Boston Billionaires series and it could probably be read as a stand alone, but the better reading experience would be to start at the beginning.
In this book we meet Isabelle at her father's funeral, where she is doing all she can to hold it together. While standing amoung the soldiers in attendance, she makes an unexpected connection with one standing next to her when he grabs her pinky finger in a show of support. It isn't until weeks later when she retreats to get dad's cabin that she learns the identity of that soldier, Jake. Jake is former military, now in private security, and served with her dad and they became close friends. So when he starts felling things for Isabelle, he doesn't do anything about it out of respect for her father and his mentor. Besides, he's 15 years older, so there's no way she would be interested in him. He runs hot and cold, confusing her because she is attracted to him and wants to explore that. For someone so young, she is wise beyond her years, growing up with a father in the military and then politics. She has a full and demanding high profile business she runs with her best friend. So once Jake feels like he wouldn't be betraying his friend, he goes all in and she is thrilled. Only there is someone from her recent past who becomes obsessed and then becomes a threat. Jake will do whatever he can to protect her, but he's being pulled in several directions at once as his family needs his help and expertise as well. All the threats seem to come to a head at the same time, demanding his attention and leaving him to make difficult decisions to ensure everyones safety.
This was a fast paced read that I finished in one sitting. There are lots of moving parts but easy to follow and keep up with. Even with the conclusion to another story line from a previous book. I like how it all fit together so seamlessly. Very well written.
Jake is the man everyone counts on. The one they rely on to keep them safe. Jake has his cabin in the woods in a quiet little town that is his salvation. He was on a mission when his best friend and mentor wrote him of being ill. By the time he was able to get to him, he had already passed. Now he's found himself wrapping pinkies with his daughter at the funeral. She was ready to break and he reached out to her to give her strength.
Isabelle was strong, but losing her dad and having no one beside her to lean on was starting to wear her down. Before the end of the service she felt like she was suffocating and ready to panic. She had to move, but when she did, she never thought it would take her where it did.
Can Isabelle and Jake find there way back to one another, and can he protect her from the evil of her ex?
