She’s ready to say ‘I do’, and she’s saved the last dance for her king. Rosemary Bell is marrying the love of her life–with mysterious guests and puppy shenanigans galore! Declan finally got to put a ring on it, but in typical Mosswood fashion a happy wife doesn’t necessarily mean a happy life. A surprise honeymoon is on the cards, and Ireland is everything Rosie could have ever dreamed it would be. Exploring Declan’s family home sets the scene for uncovering more about her own ancestral roots, suggesting that all you need is love–romantic, or otherwise. But when disaster strikes, the honeymoon’s over. The family must embark on a quest against the darkest of magics to protect one of their own, with outcomes none of them could have possibly predicted. From Mosswood to the sweeping green hills of Ireland, and over to the dramatic rocky western coastline of England, the gang race against time and a series of tests that might bring new meaning to ‘until death do us part’. Only one thing is absolutely certain: it’s a nice day for a witch wedding. Mamma Mia meets Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood in this novel about doing what’s right, finding your might, and showing up to fight for the ones you love most.
Book 8 in the Mosswood series does NOT disappoint! There’s so much to unpack so buckle up folks. A wedding like no other. Literally. No other wedding as THIS officiant… and then the couple moves on to the honeymoon. Small, romantic, private? Nope! Try happy couple plus a couple kids and one old “familiar” friend heading to visit Declan’s parents. What happens next is absolute nonstop action. An old nemesis, new acquaintances, an old beau, and MERLIN?!? Just when I thought it couldn’t get more exciting Maggie shows off just how powerful she is and don’t for a second think Rosemary is slowing down. She’s just getting started. This book will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat as you keep turning pages long into the night until the conclusion that just makes me wonder… could there be more Mosswood books coming?
Read in one sitting Like any of the series it can be read as a stand alone BUT is so much better to read the whole series. This book does a great job of showing character growth and development. You fall in love with each of them again. Louisa West did a great job of giving us characters to love and to love to hate. While it seems like the series may be coming to an end, there is still room for her to give us more adventures with this family. It is was a great time reading about the wedding and the misadventures that occur! To not give any spoilers I will just say you will laugh, maybe shed a tear or too but you will definitely enjoy the entire ride! I was provided an ARC and this is an honest review
Rosie and Declan finally get their day and it is joyous. To celebrate, the family flies to Ireland and Rosie finally goes back to her ancestral home but the original family magic appears to be gone. In the journey to recapture the magic and with the attention of some of history's greatest figures, the family unites and its not just about Rosie anymore. I found this book to be an exciting adventure always sustained by the love of family. I am enjoying the growth in Rosie, her friends and family in this series. And yes, Dolly is worth quoting! I read an ARC of this book and honestly reviewed it.
It's finally wedding day for Rosie and Declan! I loved this story, as with all of the previous books. This is a continuation of Rosie, Maggie, Declan, and Gabe's story. I love how Louisa brings out the love and happiness, as well as edge of your seat suspense and action! With this book, we get to travel to Declans home in Ireland, and all the magical things there. Unfortunately, Morgana has plans of her own for the newlyweds. I loved seeing a certain character Dracula come to this one, and I hope he is found in the next one as well.
This series is best read in order, so if you haven't begun your Mosswood adventure yet, what are you waiting for?! Grab all of them and have fun!
A wedding ....who doesn't love a wedding?! Especially one with such....unique guests 😉. Come join in all the fun in Mosswood as our favorite couple finally get hitched. Think that's all? Ummmm.... Yea, nope lol....that's just the beginning folks. Get ready for another wonderful adventure where our cast of characters go up against Morgana once again. Why can't she just stay down already 😉? Suffice to say there's oodles of adventure, magic, humor, intrigue, action, and so much more...so go ahead and treat yourself to.the latest in this awesome series!
The magical day has finally arrived and it comes with a honeymoon gift that brings the family back to Ireland. Ireland is idillic and Rosie gets to visit her ancestral seat, a series of events leads her to reconsider if she should have gave up her Queenly duties but does worries take a bad seat, when and foe comes calling. The adventure continues as the family gets to know their ancestry, battles foes and Rosie has to come to some decisions for the Kelly line.
I loved this 8th book in the Mosswood series, but I'm so sad knowing it's almost coming to a close! I absolutely LOVED Rosie and Declan's wedding, it sounded like absolute perfection. I found the trip to Ireland fascinating, and I can't wait to go myself. (Although, hopefully I'll be able to avoid all the witchy trouble that follows Rosie around.) I'm looking forward to the next book and finding out how the series winds up.
I can't wait for more of Rosie, Declan, Maggie, and Gabe. I'm not going to spoil any part of this story, but I will say that I liked having Declan's parents have a bigger role in this story than in the past. I absolutely loved all of the parts revolving around Bertha. The ending... ahhhhhh. I need more quickly! Great character development, I love that Rosie is learning to treat Maggie as a teenage witch and not a small child.
They thought it would be a peaceful, relaxing honeymoon trip to Ireland. Rosie and Declan even paid for Carol-Ann to come along. It seemed great until it wasn't anymore. Carol-Ann, Rosie and Maggie decided to visit Rosie's family property, what a mess that turned out to be. Getting through that was tough but, they made it to the big party on time. Then things went from bad to worse. Great book, I highly recommend it. Off to read the next in series.
It was so great to see Rosie and Declan finally get married! But even more awesome than that was the incredible twist of history, fiction, and another one of the most renowned tales. I hope the future books continue with this trend and to equally as enchanting as this!
WOW! I was not expecting any of that to happen. I was kinda shocked that the first 2 chapters were the wedding. I honestly thought the wedding would be at the end because something happened again. That obviously didn’t happen and what did happen was crazier than I was ready for. I can only image where this is going to go, and I’m probably wrong.
The wedding had some mishaps, but boy the Honeymoon was a disaster with fatal consequences. Very eventful and a huge announcement from Rosie as an ending or opener for next series. An exciting array of witchcraft was necessary for Rosie to try to eradicate the nastiest wizard of her life.
This book was so good. Sweet at the beginning with a wedding. Then filled with suspense and action. I love these characters and then to bring history into it was fun to read. Loved if.
This book moved so quickly, I was surprised by each chapter and what it brought out for the family. I can't wait to read the next book when it comes out. Don't stop Louisa you are on a roll.
Well, this was well worth the wait for it to be ret. Loved the wedding and the adventures that followed. I love the growth off the characters and the binding that is happening.
Rosie and gang fight off Morgana, again, but is it the last time? I don’t think so! Ireland was a great scene change but anxious to get back to Fox Cottage!
Rosie goes to visit her ancestral home and takes Carol Anne with her. They get stuck but figure out how to get out. Rosie and Carol Anne get in a fight. Carol Anne gets kidnapped. Can the gang save her in time. Maggie and Gabe use magic and surprise all the adults.
At last, the wedding... a family trip and a kidnapping... a well-rounded book. Loved watching the kids using their powers. And Cillian and Rosie's bonding, their motherly bond with Saoirse... and another battle with Morgana.
Nice Day for a Witch Wedding, finally! A well-deserved vacation and strength both from both chosen family and ancient. Challenges that result in Ioss and new beginnings.
Love this series! The love that everyone shares is wonderful. Love all the magic and the strength of the women is fabulous. Can’t wait for the next book. 🥰
This series gets better and better each time I read it! The world is one I wish I could go and visit! I love the strong female characters and their friendships as well as the mystery and romance. I can't wait to read the next book!
Wow another great addition to the Midlife in Mosswood series The big day is finally here and Louisa West doesn't disappoint! She did an outstanding job bringing the gang back for the wedding. Then we are off to Ireland for the honeymoon. Action packed as always and not your typical honeymoon but nothing is typical when it comes down to the Mosswood gang. Each of the characters are well thought out and you can watch Maggie and Gabe coming into their own... The characters are excellent and the story line kept my interest until the story was done. I laughed and yes I did shed a few tears but well worth it. Loved the story and love the series
Thank you to Louisa West for an advanced digital copy of her latest book for an honest opinion. All words are my own...they are not eloquent but from the heart
I'm feeling sad as I write this review. Nice Day For A Witch Wedding is book 8 in the Mosswood series of 10 books. I am really enjoying this series and I don't want it to end. As is obvious from the title Rosie and Declan finally tie-the-knot but their Irish honeymoon does not go as planned. Morgana returns and this time she's brought King Arthur to aid in her deadly plans. In a fight for her life Rosie must depend not only on her magic but the magic of family...family both old and new. NDFAWW is a must read for all who have been enjoying the Mosswood series. Louisa has created a world that while magical still has a small town feel. Her characters continue to grow with each book and this time it's Maggie's and even Gabe's time to step up and help Rosie. For this reason I do recommend reading the series in order to better enjoy the development and growth of all the characters.
