Following Ragnarok, we are struggling to adapt to the many changes across the earth. All manners of horrors have been unleashed upon humanity due to the collapsing afterlife. Many events are set in motion and I must figure out how to protect the humans, as well as my people from humans.

Political divisions enflame the frayed peace. Humanity is on the knife's edge of war with the immortals. Despite the many ways they undermine me, it seems to fall to me to keep the peace and defend the ignorant masses from their own stupidity, while fighting greater forces at work on earth.

Ultimately, I am seeking a cure for the vampyrs enslaved to Emalia. All while hosting a particularly famous Viking Thunder God.

The plot thickens in this Seventh installment in the "Blood and Darkness Series."

2.5*

I like the series. I like most of the characters. But the errors make it so frustrating to read.

This is the 7th in the series, and I find there’s a lot of repetition. Explanations that have been made in each and every book previous, sometimes multiple times in each book.

I didn’t know if Taylor was Tyler? Perhaps a name change mid book? Also Talia or Tahlia?

If this series (so far) had better editing, it would have a much higher review. There are so many errors, it makes me wonder if it’s ever been proof read. It sloppy, as this series has amazing potential.

This storyline was pretty decent. I feel that the MC gets way too much “screen time” still. Aurelia had much more ST in the first two books, and now she’s just fading out, and seeming angry all the time, which is a shame.

I’ll say it again, so much potential. It’s funny, raunchy and action packed. It just needs fine tuning

More bedding…

Well, we have a new playmate/bedmate added to this installment. The more I read, the more I just accept that this is, what it is. There are some other statements that seem to be recurring coming from Morgana and Aurelia that tells me more surprises and additions to the seemingly tight fold to come. I hope I can handle it.

I am happy to see Thor play a more major role once again. I have enjoyed his humor. Now, all I can see is Chris Helmsworth in my mind’s eye. He adds so much humor and character to the storyline.

I am so ready to tie up some of these loose ends such as Smithfield takeover and the US Gov’t. I want to know what will happen to her sired vampyr. There are so many mentioned new things on the horizon, I wonder which way the next book will take us.

2 stars.
For me, it just wasn't all that exciting compared to the last three. It was okay, don't get me wrong, I didn't mind where it went in some parts, especially the sexy parts, but I can't really put my finger on why exactly, except for that it felt rushed at some points, the dialogue felt stilted at others, and the fact that the storyline wasn't all linear (not that that is a problem for me since I quite like the storylines that are not linear), and if the intent is not to be non-linear then that is a problem. It just wasn't that good. At least I would put it at a 2.4 compared to the flat 3 that the last one got. .5 or higher having to raise it to another full star. 2.4 for me.

Unputdownable!!

Yes, I have invented a new word for these books. I can't put them down. I read this book; a 5 hour read, all in one sitting. I have devoured every single book in the series and my thirst for more remains unquenched. I was hoping Storm could improve on the grammatical errors and there is even a mixed up name in this book re the Blood Knight, but alas this series has remained hot 🔥. As long as Storm keeps writing them; I will keep reading them. P.S love the pace of how often these books are released!!! Please, please don't change that.
