Y'all. I don't even know where to begin with this review. It's going to be one of those that's hard to write because I don't want to give anything away!
From the moment I picked up this book, I did not want to put it down! Talk about intense and action-packed! I was sucked in from the very beginning!
Blair and Elliot have had feelings for each other for the last two years. But for reasons only known to Elliot, a relationship between the two of them just wasn't possible. But all of that changed when Blair was ambushed on the job and Elliot's protective instincts took over. Unable to hide their feelings for each other any longer, they'll have to work together to find out who's responsible for all the danger plaguing their every move.
Guys, that's all I'm willing to say about the actual story. I am not taking an chances of accidentally divulging the entire plot. Trust me, this is something you're going to want to read and figure out on your own!
What I can say is that I absolutely loved Blair and Elliot. These two were absolutely perfect for each other. They are fiercely loyal and protectors to the core. Their banter and flirting had me letting out little dreamy sighs throughout the book. Their chemistry was hot, hot, hot! I couldn't get enough of these two!
Since I clearly loved this book, why only 4 stars you ask? There were several typos, grammatical errors, and inconsistencies throughout the book. I tried to ignore them but some of them were just too distracting. The other reason is the book just ended. I really hate it when that happens! There was so much focus on one particular aspect and we didn't even get to see it. I was super bummed.
All in all, I really did love this book. I may have been hesitant going into it because the last couple of books kind of fell flat for me, but this one was a breath of fresh air. Blair and Elliot are definitely one of my favorite couples of Ms. Deel's. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!
As for my casting, y'all. These two are pretty dang perfect in my opinion. What do you think?

I really liked this book by Miss Rebecca Deel. It has just the right action, suspense and romance to not make It over the top.

Really enjoyed this romantic suspense!
While this author generally follows a pattern to her romantic suspense stories, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I found my self really enjoying Blair and Elliot’s story, and while there are similarities to other books, I really enjoyed the differences. From the very beginning the plot sucks you in with intense action, and I had a hard time putting it down.
Without giving anything away, I enjoyed the story within the story, loved the way the romance developed, and appreciated the stronger female lead character that Blair was. She was a perfect match for Elliot, who is a more dominant male lead. I liked how we got to see Elliot struggle with his attraction and feelings for Blair. Seeing more of the internal struggle made it more realistic than some of the other books in this series.
After hearing about these two characters in previous books, it was so good to read their story! There were some errors and typos, but nothing too great to take away from the overall book. Another great and clean romantic suspense from Rebecca Deel!

Just ok
I love Ms. Deels books. She finally gives us a heroine worthy of the title. Strong, smart, a sharpshooter and yet she immediately bows down to the man, who ignored her for 2 years and professes love half way thru the book. Give me a break! Even though this heroine is seen as more equal then the other women, because of her skills with a gun, by the men in the book. It’s just not enough! Give me someone with grit, determination, and the ability to say No, be in charge of themselves and make their man, see them for who and what they are. Not just a woman in need of a mans protection and his need for her to defer to him.

Suspenseful Right From the Beginning
This book started out with a bang from the very beginning. Lots of action and intrigue. Also, unlike most of the other books, the heroine was a police chief, former military, and trained to be in precarious situations. In many of the previous books, I didn’t like how the operatives or law enforcement (heroes) allowed their women to be put in dangerous situations. It didn’t make sense to me and went against everything they stood for. However with this book it was different and much better. I like how they had each other’s backs. Definitely recommend.

Blair and Elliot might be my favourite Rebecca Deel couple! Blair kicks some serious butt and is the perfect woman for tortured and protective Elliot. She stands by his side no matter the danger and will stop at nothing to protect her man. Rebecca Deel did a wonderful job of plotting two intense plot lines together with the perfect sprinkling of danger, action, and romance along with sweet moments in this new book. Another wonderful read from the world of Fortress Security.

Finally we find out what's going on with Elliott! I just finished rereading the first 2 Maple Valley books she I got an email about this one being released. Great story & lots of action and all the Maple Valley brothers. Loved it! Can't wait for the next one.

Conspiracy.
I could not put this book down until I finished it at12. 35 am this morning. I love all this series and have read them all several times. I enjoy the interacting of all charactors and feel as if I am meeting old friends. I can't wait for the next ones. 10 out of 10.

Elliot and Blair are amazing
Guarded Elliot and Tough cop Blair find their way into each other's hearts with the help of danger. Rebecca Deel did not disappoint once again. The Montgomery brothers are swoon worthy, upstanding heroes and their women are strong. Anyone needing a break from the craziness of our world, go visit Maple Valley or any settings for Rebecca's books.

Awesome new story!
Elliot and Blair finally start seeing each other when Blair gets shot and Elliot rushes to her side. When Rebecca releases a new book, I always stop to read it before I continue where I was. Whether her story is from Fortress Security, Otter Creek or Maple Valley series, they are always good.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Good characters. Lots of action, suspense, a litle romance, team work, twists and turns, surprises ... a perfect combination of everything. Loved that the heroine was a police chief and former military and equal to everything that was thrown at her. The couple were a great match once they finally got their act together and became a couple.

Great Book!!!!
Wonderful story filled with suspense, action, and romance. I love all of this authors books. I have read the fortress and otter creek series several times; no doubt I will be reading this series again too. You will not go wrong reading one of her books. I can't wait to read Caleb's story!!!

Very entertaining family, mystery, romance
This is another totally entertaining book in this series. I love the Montgomery family. This is Elliot's and Blair's story. It has lots of entertaining mystery and action and the happy ending I always need. Very enjoyable!

Such a great story
I really love Rebecca’s books and have read them all. Conspiracy doesn’t disappoint and is yet another great story tying romance and suspense while weaving in characters from past books. A must read.

Always a good read
I love the action and intrigue without the sex. Rebecca Deel is one author I always read. This newer series is every bit as good as the others.

From the start you are drawn in. Great characters in this series. I really liked the chemistry between Elliot and Blair. If you want suspense and a page turner this is the book for you.
