The series is an okay series. It was entertaining enough that I kept reading and the Box set has some additional material, thats why I got it and read it too. The third book dragged a bit, because they had a lot of smexy times where I wanted more of taking the bad guys down.
The Characters: Names and descriptions of the persons in ALL THREE BOOK. Spoilers ahead!
Summery: lot’s of spoiler This is a summery of book 1 to 3. So there are spoilers, also the chronological order is not like in the books.
Best to start with what happened when Luna was six: When Luna was six Totems people came to get her, because Veronica promised Totem a second heir. Totem thinks that Luna is his biological kid. But she is not. When the guys came, the FBI intervened. A guy was shot, Luna was traumatised and Bryce was taken by the FBI. Before they could get Luna too, Rafe showed up. Seeing the scene with Bryce’s body missing, Rafe took Luna and ran. He build a new life for Luna and him in Philadelphia. He owns a tattoo shop and a gym. Luna is an apprentice in the tattoo shop and trains all fighting styles in the gym. She rebuild a motorcycle with Rafe, which is called Dot. Luna is traumatised from the ordeal and she blocks all memories from before this assault. She has only memories from after six years old.
On her 18th birthday, she has her first fight at the warehouse. After she won, her mother shows up and she and Rafe are taken. She has to go to Featherstone Academy, and Rafe can’t do a thing, even though he wanted her far away from this. In Featherstone academy there are a few houses, according to a hierarchie. There are the Jokers, The clubs, the Diamonds and the Ace (low to high). Luna has three bloodlines and is placed on the top floor of the ACE house. On her way there she runs into Oscar, Roman, Kai and Parker who are sitting with Wren. Wren goes all queen bee on Luna who just knocks her into the Fountain pool. Oscar retrieves her fallen bloodline box and gets a glimps of her name and Bloodlines. He tells Roman and the guy that she is Luna Steele but Roman thinks she is lying.
They decide to get information on Luna, while Luna runs off to her dorm. Jessica witness this all and she approaches Luna. They become slowly but surely friends.
Luna wins over Parker, when he has a mental break down in one of their classes. She pulls him from his dark place and helps him. From that day on Parker becomes team Luna and the others are thankful that she has the power to pull Parker out of his misery. One by one Luna wins over the guys whom she calls Aceholes.
In the first book they get assignments. The head bitch normally gives them one to two assignments but when it’s Luna’s turn to choose, she get’s all three. And the last one is the Pyramid, a test run for the Games, where the Ace people have to participate. While fulfilling the first Assignment, Luna is surprised by Rico, Parkers bio dad. He has Roman, who came after Luna to tell her that he knew her when she was little. But Rico asks Luna if she know him and tells her that Parker know him from before. She runs out of the hotel and feels betrayed. Back at the dorm she gets a notice that she has to participate in the Pyramid and Red is taken before this. Turns out that Red is on top of the Pyramid and will die if Luna doesn’t get to the top of the pyramid before Red is strangled. To get there she and her main opponent have to fight three persons till knockout or death and then find the winner in a fourth fight. Luna makes allies by making a deal with her first opponent Trudy: She will knock her out but she will live. Trudy agrees. The second one is harder to fight, but she wins, not caring if the guy dies or lives in the process. The third opponent is Trudy’s twin brother and he takes the same deal. Finally she has to fight Taylor. And he tells her that he is going to rape her before and after he has killed her. But he underestimates her and get’s killed. Then Luna safes Red and also the other girl, who was getting strangled to make sure that Taylor fights harder.
Rafe takes her to a safe place and Red is on board. After a week away she gets back to Featherstone Academy and decides to stay away form the guys to keep them safe. She still feels betrayed by Roman. But Red helps the guys. And after some time they get back together. At the end of this book they find out that the Games were pushed forward and they have to go there at the beginning of November instead of December.
At the Halloween party they want to corner Wren because they know that she has some information. Trudy helps them and arranges a separate area for this. They set up security and have a plan in place to lure Wren there. But that evening the participants of the Game are kidnapped. While Luna and Parker go to the arranged area, Roman lures Wren there, they see that when Luna and Parker get there they are cornered by Veronica, Barbette and Rico. Veronica and some security guys take Parker and Luna. Kai, Roman and Oscar avoid getting kidnapped and they go to Ian, who is one of their drivers. Ian knows where the games take place and he drives them there still conscious (whereas the other participants get knocked out). Luna and Parker wake up in a SUV and fight against their three opponents. Luna knocks Veronica out but Parker can’t help because one of the guys have him in a choke-hold. Luna shoots the guy, but the driver throws her around in the car, after she killed the other guy and has his gun on her. Now Parker rescues her and shoots the third guy. They cuff Veronica and when they arrive at the Games they take Veronica with them. But once there, Luna shoots her. Rico tells Parker to come to his side, but Parker refuses. Rico threatens that he will loose his bloodline, which means that Parker will die, but Parker still refuses. And Luna reveals that Parker has a bloodline, because they married and he got her bloodline. He is Parker Steele now. Also the other guys took Luna’s bloodline and are now Steele-Fuse, Stelle-Rivera and Steele-O’Shane. Most of the Ring are taken by surprise, but Parker is saved by Luna’s move.
In the third book the games beginn. They make it through the first one with some minor injuries. But in the second Game, after killing some people the place get’s bombed. The survive, but Kai is missing. Wren has shot Kai in the shoulder and Totem is there, telling Wren to kill Kai. But Luna hears it all and starts shooting Wren and also Totem. She gets them but doesn’t kill them. And they can flee. Meanwhile Rafe attacks Rico and kills him, because he knows that he was involved in the bombing.
And she blacks out but the last thing she sees is Bryce catching her. They knew that Bryce was alive, because Luna finally opened a bag that was left for her in the Steel vault (she opens them before the second Game). The take Luna and her Harem to a beach house so they can rest. Mia awaits them there and it turns out that Kai’s sister was taken, because they found out that Totem wanted her, when he could not get Luna. Mia was sent to live with Jakes family. And Jake introduced Mia to Luna and they became friends. But after a year Totem found Mia’s hiding place and she was send to live with Bryce. Kai and Luna are so happy to have Mia back in their fold.
They are planning to take Totem down and they decide that they need to use Luna as a bait. So everybody returns to Featherstone Academy. And all of them live in tight quarters in the Ace dorm. They also add loyal security guys to the mix.
One day Mia is taken and they know that Totem somehow sneaked into the dorm and took her. He calls Luna from Mia’s phone and tells her that he would let her loved ones live, if Luna comes to him. He also tells her that she has to make a quick decision because Mia is in the library which he set on fire. They split up. Some got to rescue Luna, some sneak to the main Hall, where Luna is dropped off. Luna approaches John Dietrichson and his security guys and goes into the main hall, where Barbette and Totem await her. But she does not talk to them, which drives Totem crazy. Before he can attack Luna the door is pushed open and her team runs in an attacks Totem and Barbett. Both are killed. But not only from Luna’s team but from Wren too. She wants to be free from the two people who are supposed to be her parents but only pull her down. After that she tries to hide and flee, but Rafe finds her and gives her a key to a safe house.
Mia is saved by he other team, Kai did inhale a lot of smoke but Mia and Kai were both saved by their father.
After all these events they finally get their happy end.
Oh my actual god. I've just finished book 1 in this series and i am craving MORE! It had me gripped from page 1, I can't even describe how much I love this book. The storyline is absolutely brilliant! I love the fact the school is basically for the underground crimal world, the classes are so f*cked up and the rules are ridiculous!! MY HEART IS SO FULL from Luna, Red, Roman, Parker, Oscar and Kai. I'm obsessed with each and everyone of them. West is also up there, there is so much more I need to know about him. Luna is one of my favourite female leads for sure 💖 straight away i knew she was one badass bitch.. nothing could've prepared me for the boys. I LOVE them all. I was only 14% in when I knew I was a goner for this book and the characters. (Straight onto amazon i went to buy the paperback) Red, is the complete opposite of luna and its why I absoloutley love their friendship. I also love how Oscar is protective of red too 💖 PARKER I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!! 🖤 my No.1 boy so far. Ive never come across a character like his 🙌🏼🥺💖 Onto book two in this amazing boxset!!
Your bloodline -
That ending!!! Hell yes!!! Its been a while since I've read an ending that has me fist bumping the air 🙌🏼😂
My main guy in this book is Rafe 🖤 not in a sexual way but in the fatherly role he plays. The memory flashback that Luna has about Rafe made me cry! 🥺 what a guy 🙌🏼💖 Parker Parker, ohh I adore him so bloody much. Such a damaged soul with a heart of gold. Roman 🥵🥵 that dude is hotttt. Kai literally soothes my soul 🥰 Oscar has me cracking up and also 🔥🔥. West is also in my good book 😘 Red, I absoloutley love you!! Fab character. Brilliant storyline once again brilliant.
Our bloodline -
Oh my god. I didn't want their story to end🥺😢🥺 it was bitter sweet. The ending we get on the boxset has made my heart burst with love and joy... but before that... ohhh myyyyy!!! What a rollercoaster this book is. I had been eagerly anticipating "the games" and more about that pr*ck Totem. There are moments in this book that brought tears to my eyes, bitter sweet reunions 🥰 ... that epilogue... I'm heading straight over to Reds book, I think we all have a rough idea who might be in her story 😉😁 I'm going to miss Luna and the guys so so much. One of my favourite series ❤
Boxset/epilogue: AH! I love this omnibus set! The extra POV we got was so fun to see the other side of. My favorite (of course!) was the big ole extended epilogue. I was always left wanting more with these characters and the author made that so much better with this epilogue! We get to see the characters move into their roles & get a glimpse at their futures 10 years later. LOVE!
Series review: This is a contemporary reverse harem. Books 1-3 are Luna’s story, books 4&5 are Red’s story.
This review is of Luna’s story. I absolutely LOVE Luna’s character. She is such a badass and doesn’t bow down to anyone. She’s sassy, fierce, and protective of those she cares about.
If you have ever read Hannaford Prep, this gives me similar vibes. Luna is similar to Lips in the badass aspect. Featherstone isn’t bully or high school based, and is a faster burn. It isn’t instant-love but attraction is pretty instant.
She suffered loss at age 6 and her brain has shut off any memories she had from before. On her 18th birthday, she’s unexpectedly uprooted from her home & the only family she’s ever known to attend a college for criminals because of her bloodlines. She is thrown into a new place where she is an outsider & she is expected to sink or swim. Even with a target on her back, she stands tall and ready to face anything that comes her way. The college experiences give me Hunger Games vibes; but for criminals of the underworld. SO. GOOD.
The criminal aspect provides action and plot along side Luna & her guys character development. It’s descriptive, well-written, & hot, ahem. 😉 Such a good read!
This is a fantastic series, I absolutely loved it and couldn’t put it down - actually pulled an all nighter reading it …oh so worth it too! I love the way K C Kean writes, with such detail and the flow of the storyline has the outside world standing still while you honestly fall into the story. Luna is such an amazing main character and what a life she has had. Absolutely love her grit and determination and her ‘don’t take crap’ attitude. The Aceholes, what can I say other than yum! Those guys are hot AF and each in their own different ways. Featherstone Academy itself is such an interesting institution, with the levels and specialities. Overall a fantastic series, it’s honestly my favourite RH series of all time - couldn’t recommend any higher.
Luna has been raised by her fathers best friend after a tragedy so bad when she was 6 that she's completely blocked her life before it out of her mind. Unconventional at best she grows up learning to fight and intends to become a tattoo artist. Turns out her past is coming for her though at her whole life is flipped upside down on her 18th birthday. Thrust into an underworld of crime she knows nothing about it turns out there are more secrets being kept from her than she ever imagined.
I love this whole series so much. Luna's strength is incredible and I love that she's not afraid to lean on her guys a little. The love and friendship between them all really shines through and good lord does that steam burn!!
If you've already read this series it's still well worth grabbing this boxset. There's some delightfully dirty extras and a truly perfect extended epilogue <3
This series is everything. I have reread it countless of times. But when the queen delivers a boxset, you betcha I’m gonna read the boxset. And it was so worth it! The story in itself is one of my all time favourites. The passion, the heat, the storytelling, the world building, the relationship, it’s all so captivating and makes you want to keep reliving it. The extra content was to die for. You get a different perspective on scenes and it makes it even more realistic. The extended epilogue was amazing! I can’t get enough of these characters and I loved to see a glimpse of their future whilst still creating questions that I hope the lovely KC Kean will answer in future books. Pretty pretty please
I love love this series!!!! KCKean is amazeballs! & what a epic first ever series to write. I was sucked in so fast with Luna, I loved her real quick, it who she is and how awesome a kick arse chick she is, I loved her from the start her determination her strength of character, the getting to know her...then she meets Jess and her aceholes and damn what a bunch of guys and their journey of getting together, falling apart finding themselves and fighting the circle it's full on and also getting to know the story of everyone's past is a great read. My true enjoyment through all is Luna and Jess their bond is epic. This series is such a great read definitely buy this peoples it's a epic read.
KC just released Featherstone Academy Volume 1, an omnibus of Luna’s story with a bonus epilogue … and it’s AMAZING!!
I think you all know how much I love this world and characters KC created. But this epilogue (which could probably be considered a novella) has all the extras I was kind of missing toward the end of Luna’s series - and MORE!
The steam is HOT (like CRAZY hot) and there is no shortage of tension. Plus, it’s sounds like more books may be in our future 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
If you loved this series as much as I did - go grab this on KU today! And if you haven’t read Featherstone yet, now is the perfect time to pick it up!
This is an incredible boxset containing the entire Featherstone Academy series in addition to additional and extended epilogues, that continue to contribute to the story.
My Bloodline Incredibly amazing story that not only is a first in a new series but a debut novel. The characters are incredible, dynamic and each uniquely distinct. The storytelling is captivating and keeps you engaged. This is a unique and compelling story filled with intrigue. Your Bloodline This is a read that is incredible! It has plenty of emotions and plenty of twists that will leave you speechless. This second book in the series has you not only loving the character more and more with each different POV but also gives insight into the their pasts. This is an engrossing read that I didn't realize how fast I was moving through the story until the end. Our Bloodline Amazing ending to this incredible series. This ties ups loose ends and answers questions from the rest of the series. There are still some losses end with other character but there is an amazing promise of Red and her trio's story in another series. The story telling is fantastic and has me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Also there were some incredible revelations. Incredible series especially a debut series and I cannot wait to read what KC has in store next.
I absolutely loved this series when I read it for the first time as the books were coming out, and the box set with extra POV’s is even better!! The extended epilogue was *chefs kiss* TO DIE FOR.
Luna is one of my all time favorite heroines. She is an absolute bada**, hilarious, and so strong. She’s thrown into this world of underground criminals and organized crime and just takes it all in stride, knowing that she’s going to end up taking down the corrupt organization that’s messed with her life. She meets her men along the way, and is resistant at first but who couldn’t love Roman, Oscar, Kai and Parker?! I love that she calls her men “aceholes” and doesn’t let them boss her around with all their alpha tendencies. Her “aceholes” are also really freaking amazing.. Those boys are dreamy with a capital D!!
The drama, the plot twists, the STEAM, and all around badassery in this series is 10/10!! Would definitely recommend to everyone!
Note: I listened to an audiobook but as that edition is not currently listed on Goodreads.com I am placing my review here.
Note also: What I listened to purported to being the first book in the series but as an omnibus edition is the only one currently listed on Goodreads.com I am placing my review here.
This book is so bad I only made it 6% of the way through before I put it down. I only made it that far because a fight takes place early and all the info the author is lobbing. But there was zero character development and no thought put into the story being told. For example, the whole “love one hiding necessary information from MC” beginning. Why this has become such a standard opening for YA novels I will never understand. It immediately turns a character into a moron. Why, if you care about someone and have information necessary to that person’s health and wellbeing, would you refuse to disclose it???? Here the non-disclosing character is Rafi, the MC’s pseudo-dad since dad is dead. Rafi repeatedly claims he thought MC wouldn’t have to attend Featherstone Academy. The author, however, does nothing to make Rafi’s claims credible and sense MC is being dragged to Featherstone Academy the whole time Rafi is making these claims, Rafi comes off as an imbecile.
Then there’s the mother, who is ridiculously one dimensionally evil. We are told mother is an infiltration specialist but apparently mother is terrible at it since she has no understanding of planning ahead or cooperation. After all, rather than laying any kind of groundwork with the MC mother just shows up and kidnaps MC, her daughter. Do you think an actually competent infiltration specialist tasked with getting the MC to attend Featherstone Academy might have taken the occasional minute or two to talk the academy up to the MC over the MC’s 18 years of life?
The MC is immediately undermined by the author as well. The reader is told the MC was able to beat her martial arts instructor since the age of 13. Then the author has MC easily win an MMA fight against an experienced and much larger male fighter. But then mother shows up and MC is so unaware of her surroundings and generally clueless in during the confrontation that she is easily drugged by someone sticking a needle in her neck. Were the kidnappers just that good? If so the author didn’t communicate it. The MC was distracted by her mother pushing her buttons but, as an experienced fighter, the author failed to show the MC was sufficiently distracted to be easily stuck with a needle, especially right after watching Rafi get stuck with a needle.
The MC does show any particular competency in confronting her mother when she awakes either and it was at this point in time I stopped reading.
Bottom line: Poor character development with no thought or effort put into telling a story that makes sense coupled with an immediate undermining of the MC by the author makes this book not worth the time.
Featherstone Academy (Volume 1, Books 1-3) K C Kean
Book One - My Bloodline Okay so we’ve got Luna * raised by her fathers best friend * Can’t remember her life before age 6 * Witnessed her fathers murder * Badass * Tattooist * Also I’m kinda in love with her
Red aka Jessica * Lunas new BFF * Fiery AF * Chatterbox * Closet max scientist * Is she the mystery heir?
Rafe * Luna’s dads Bestie (or more?). * Raised Luna and apparently kept her hidden * Holds the info to Lunas past
West * not sure what to make of this one * Has ties to Luna * Is a tutor at Featherstone * Is hiding something big going by the nods in the plot
Roman * gorgeous * Alpha * Sweet on Luna * Also holding secrets as far as I can tell
Oscar * loud * Brash * Motormouth * Sweet
Kai * latent ninja tendencies * Smart AF * Techy AF
Parker * No last name but tied to The Ring * Suffering from trauma * Bisexual * Jacked * Potential to be a psycho if someone he loves is hurt
This book, oooft I know that I’m reading 3 as one (I think - going by Amazon) but heck yeah!
The spice - sold 5 of the Scoville scale - I mean proper Carolina Reaper levels of fricking spice!!
Sheesh and I need to know what actually happened to Lunas dad and why she’s been dragged to the Academy to follow through on family lineage
AHAH! Point freaking one baybeee! I knew it! #GaydarOnPoint
Oscar is now the eldest of how many??? There’s more to that story for sure! Shizzle 🥺
I got through this one so quickly but I’m not sure what happened!
We learn a little more about Totem and his cohorts and enjoy the demise of an absolute plum of a character. Byyye bitch!
We’re left on a cliffhanger of sorts!
Book Three - Our Bloodline
The games have begun in more ways than one! Trust is hard earned at Featherstone and when you trust the wrong people shit hits the fan!
Totem means business in his endeavours to get Luna on his team, assignments start to make sense to the group as more news comes to light and when will that fucktard Wren meet her bloody end!??
We also finally find out who the heir is, I cannot say I’m surprised but still …
Oh that was a good ending to the first volume, obviously I need to start the second volume to find out who it is that has caught Reds eye! 👀
This book had a lot of potential. The story was pretty good, but there were so many issues that it was difficult to keep up with what the author intended. I did like the writing for the most part, though, and I am glad that the next volume follows someone else. If there had been more books for these guys, I would have just quit.
Editing/grammar-wise this book was a mess. Most issues I saw were with the first two books in this volume; The third one wasn't as bad. It just felt like there wasn't an editor or proofreader around to catch the small issues here and there. For example: Ones = multiple of one, whereas One's = one is OR belonging to one Too = also, not the same as to. (noticed it used incorrectly twice) Seen does not mean the same as seeing. (noticed it used incorrectly twice) - The phrase is: seeing as, not seen as Out of body experience, not outer body Let's is not the same as lets
With all those issues, it made it hard to really take a lot of things seriously. I did actually keep going, though, as the story was OK enough.
One thing that just kept bugging me, though, is how on earth do you keep someone's last name a secret? There is no way that could happen. So, not mentioning Rico's last name in front of Parker is just stupid. There is no way at all that nobody would mention it at any point in time. Especially when he is one of the leaders in The Ring. This was a poorly thought out plot device. Parker would have heard the last name growing up, as would have all the kids attending the school, if they were prepared for and grew up in that world. Then, you have to assume that nobody would say anything? I don't buy it at all.
They guys all seemed to change once they got with her. They eventually became mushy loved up puppy dogs. All of them. It got too sickly sweet for me, honestly, and by the end, I couldn't deal with it anymore. This is why I wouldn't have continued the series if it stayed with them. They became over the top caricatures.
Things started really rough in book one, too. I got confused, like I had started in the middle of a series, rather than the beginning. It was as if I was supposed to know all these people and backgrounds already. It smoothed out, but initially I was lost. Then, you have this super tough girl who is proficient in all these martial arts and in fighting... and then she doesn't really use it much in the three books. It gets used at the beginning with Wren, but then it never pops up again. It felt off.
Overall, this story was entertaining enough, but there is just not enough believability for me. I will still continue to the next volume, because I do enjoy some bits of things, but I will definitely go for a palette cleanser book in between.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I'll be honest I almost DNFed this book after about 10%. The writing style/structure/grammar was really hard for me to read through smoothly. But the plot and characters were intriguing enough that I forced myself to push thru the first book in this collection. In the past, especially if dealing with a new to me author, I have discovered some of my favorite series were actually some that I almost didn't finish the first book because I struggled to either connect with characters or writing style was harder to read. So when a story/characters intrigue me enough I will at least push thru to book 2 to see if it is worth finishing the series. Book 2 seemed to flow better for me when reading, which is why I continued to read. There were a lot of extra details that at times seemed repetitive (repetitiveness in books is one of my personal pet peeves, so it may not be bothersome to other readers). I did find myself skimming a lot of book 1 and book 3, just wanting to get to the end. There were a few parts that mentioned things, but then never actually clarified what happened. Also struggled with the dialogue at times. It could get a bit over cutesy, which threw me off because the guys in ACES were supposedly more high class and so some of the things they said just didn't match up with the image portrayed.
I really did love the characters and the storyline. I loved that they could portray a tough exterior, yet when they were with her in private they showed their softer side. And I especially loved the steamy scenes (which there are plenty of in this series). Just a note that those steamy scenes include some m/m scenes, but the guys are 100% focused on the heroine and what turns her on.
Would I recommend this book... yes, but if you struggle with the writing style you might have to push thru that in order to enjoy the story.
So, I'm a huge fan of Featherstone Academy, I'm generally not one for re-reading books but I just had to when this was released.
This is Luna and her guys complete story, books one to three with some different perspective on certain scenes and an extended epilogue which made me cry and want more. I love these guys and the family they became especially when you add in Rafe and Bryce.
*****May be slightly spoilery if you read further, I will try to be vague ****
Things I noticed this time around, the excitement in me when I knew the big action scenes were coming I loved them in the book and the Tunnel is definitely one of my fave bits in the story.
Oscar, I liked him more this time around he annoyed me a fair bit on the first run through, I guess cos I'm a serious person but I appreciated him more this time around and what he brings to the Story.
Luna and Roman's relationship felt so much deeper to me knowing how it plays out and the memories, got me in the feels. Parker Parker is still my fave and all his scenes where Luna supports him, gets me each and every time.
We got some Jake closure, I loved that KC didn't forget about him.
Really hoping we get an extended epilogue for Red now, cos I love these characters and hate to leave the world behind again...I'm not crying! Ok, I am a little teary! I may also beg for a novella of Rafe and Bryce I imagine them jet setting around the world as a crime fighting duo, it makes me happy.
This book is absolutely amazing. I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve probably read this book. Kean creates a unique and immersive world and it sucks you in front the beginning.
When I originally read this book I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it wasn’t what I got and I mean that in the best way possible. This is an academia RH with a huge twist. These kids aren’t just going to a regular collage, but one that’s meant to progress them in the underworld. These kids come from powerful families with corrupt backgrounds and the whole purpose of this school is to teach kids how to grasp their family skills and be successful in the dark corners of the world.
Luna is a strong MFC and she’s targeted from the beginning because of her unique family like. While most kids come from 1 powerful family, 2 if your lucky, Luna comes from 3 and that makes her a threat to anyone’s position on campus. However, this also leads to a lot of curiosity from our guys.
Our harem is made up of the most powerful families on campus and we watch as the battle against the path set for them to both be with each other and make their own way in life. It’s messy, hard, and emotional, but man is it worth it.
If you haven’t read this book yet , please do - I can’t even leave a review to do enough justice but you will not be disappointed. If you like mafia/gang vibes, academy stories with huge twists, medium size harems , and a med/fast burn romance this book is for you.
You are stuck in traffic, just want to get by, but every car in front of you is rubber-necking and you just want them to keep going but when you get to the crash, you’re dumb a$$ slows down and takes a long look also. That’s how I felt during the entire book. 2 stars because I actually finished but that’s about it.
The whole story is utterly ridiculous. The premise that all criminals send their kids to a school to “learn” to be a criminal is a joke. Not to mention that the school will probably kill them. And their parents are ok with that. Uh huh. Ok. Whateves. Now let’s give them all tattoos because tattoos are hard core. You know. The author keeps stating that the character is “edgy” but if you have to tell us they are edgy, then are they really? And please tell me what is edgy about black leggings? I’d really like to know. I’m gonna go put on my black leggings do I can be edgy too. Lol.
If you are bored and think gangster thugs are hot this is the book for you. Especially if you like mentally scarred, tattooed guys that are supper possessive over a delicate edgy chick in black leggings that can’t stop staring at said thugs rock hard abs and crotch. If not, just keep driving. LOL.
I am absolutely blown away. I’ve loved the Aceholes from moment one and here they are, making me fall even harder than I thought possible. This wasn’t my first reread of the Featherstone Academy books, and it definitely will not be my last. I feel like I discover something new each time, even if it’s just how the books make me feel. I love all the aceholes, but I’ve always been an especially big fan of Parker Parker. However, on this reread and with the bonus content, Roman has me in a friggin twist. I love him. I don’t want to give away spoilers, so I won’t, but the bonus content on this boxset is INCREDIBLE. I loved each and every word that KC gifted us. Getting an extra look into the lives of Luna and her men was the content I always wanted, and it’s clear, I absolutely needed it. Do yourself a favor and don’t just skip to the bonus content. Read the books all the way through and experience the magic from page one. It will make the ending that much sweeter. Thank you KC for giving us more time with the Aceholes!
I am so glad I read this! This was my fourth attempt at reading this series. The first 3 times I started the first book I just could not for the life of me get into it. It was weird to me because I’ve read all of KC’s other books and loved them. I don’t know why or what was wrong with me because this was amazing! It was definitely a slow start but once I got to around page 150 it started to pick up. It’s definitely more of a fast burn romance and I usually prefer slow burn, but if it’s written right then it’s great; which KC definitely did! Each book got better and better and by the time I got half way through the second book I was hooked, and when I finished the third I was completely in love. I have no idea how I didn’t love it from the beginning. It’s crazy because this entire series has been amazing. I’m literally mad at myself for it. I read this in 2 days. This is definitely a top series of 2024. I’m extremely excited for Jessica and Wren’s books!
This has been my all time favorite series to date! KC Kean’s writing, world building and characters are top notch! So to get all boxset makes my little heart so damn happy! I fall even more in love with the characters every time I do a reread and let me tell you I have read this series at lease 6 times. All of the extra/bonus material that KC has put in is phenomenal. You get to see certain scenes from someone’s else Pov which makes it so much better! Then OMG then you get the epilogue and extended epilogue BISH hold onto your mother fkn Panties!!! One of my favorite things is to see characters I truly love in the future and what’s happening in their lives and this is seriously everything I could have hoped for and sooooo much more! KC you will always and forever be one of my all time favorite author!
After suffering the traumatic loss of her father at only 6 Luna’s mind looked away her past and she can’t remember anything that happened before that day. She is kidnapped by her “egg donor ” and forced to attend Featherstone Academy. Where your bloodline is your ticket to power and success, at any cost. Luna is already trained in martial arts and weapons, but when she enters the Academy she finds there is a lot more to learn. Placed in “Ace” she forms a bond with each of the “Aceholes” and gets a best friend in Red. Ultimately they must have face “the Games” together where they have to battle it out just to survive. Throw in the evil Totem and all hell breaks lose. Excellent RH with a HEA.
Luna is seriously the best FMC I have ever read. She is so strong, loyal and just overall badass. I love a fierce woman who can take care of her own problems. This book was so well written and the overall story line was something I‘ve never read before- an academy for the criminal underworld? Sign me up. Luna and her men (Roman, Oscar, Kai and Parker) have insane chemistry and you can just feel the angst. I love how after getting over the initial weariness the men bring her into the fold and make her their queen. The relationship between the men make this harem so special. I’m so sad to see Luna’s story end. 🥲 Featherstone Academy is packed full of crime, action and spice! GO ADD TO YOUR TBR!
Okay so I REALLY like the dynamic of the MC’s shitty bio mother just being a surrogate. I wanted more of the Dads’ relationship on page, but it makes sense that there isn’t- this is their daughter’s story.
The Big Baddie was trite, the Academy for the Underworld unrealistic, but I enjoyed reading this. Liked the characters and the stories were paced well.
Didn’t appreciate the ‘cliffhanger’ of their getting married being a plot twist/big reveal moment because it was presented that way for shock factor and…. It felt more like I was cheated out of this big development in their relationship. Yeah in the next book it rehashed what lead up to that moment, but it meant repeating old information with a twist and was just annoying.

This series is one of my favorite reverse harem series I've read in a long time! I love how powerful and strong Luna is and how her guys support her no matter what. She also has a kick butt best friend in the form of Jess, who now has her own series. While Luna is very independent, she relies on her guys in tough moments, keeping them all safe. The twists and turns are unparalleled and KC Kean really knows how to build up to a great bombshell. The extended epilogue in this box set is amazing to see where our characters end up and provide closure after becoming attached for so long because the author brings them to life beautifully. If you are fans of Toxic Creek (also by KC Kean) or Hannaford Prep by J. Bree, then this series is definitely for you!
This was the first time I've read this series and it was so good, I didn't know what to expect from this series when I started but it definitely wasn't that I'd become so consumed within their world I read the entire Box set in on hit.
I loved Luna and her guys especially Oscar and Kai who were my absolute favourites. I also loved that Roman, Parker, Kai and Oscar were all different in personalities but they meshed well with Luna. These books were full of heat, secrets, betrayal, psycho parents, a bubbly BFF and one sassy as hell heroine all in all this was a great series.
This series. I don't have the words to describe how much I love it! It pulls you in from the first chapter and spits you out after an intense ride while still begging for more. Featherstone Academy puts you through a roller-coaster of emotions with laugh out loud moments, HOT steamy bits, and a hefty dose of mystery and action. There are so many twists and turns, incredible side characters, and an epic relationship that builds between Luna and her guys. I love it. It will forever be one of my top reads. Plus, with this boxset, we get an awesome extended epilogue that just breathes joy into my heart!
Featherstone Academy was not Luna’s choice but now she’s owns it! Luna’s experience in this whole series has you on edge and kc makes sure that you see everyone’s perspective. Luna’s not easy to win over and she makes the men in her life earn every bit of trust and affection. But once they have her affections, hot damn you are not ready!!!!! 🥵🥵🥵🥵 Roman, Parker, Kai and Oscar fulfill all of the personalities you need to be able to keep up with a FMC Like Luna! This is Divergent meets Hunger Games Meets RH so you have all the steam you wanted and more. I love anything by this Lady and you should too!
This was grouped with other fantasy books, but it IS NOT fantasy! This takes place in an underworld (as in mafia) university, but it's not anything like Sophie Lark's Kingmaker series (which was awesome!). This is really juvenile, completely contrived, and utterly unrealistic. The heroine is the typical self-important type; the "I'm not like other girls. ALL the boys want me 'cause I have tattoos and piercings, and I can fight a male MMA fighter. AND WIN!" kind of girl.
