The title of this is so funny and the description sounded great, but the execution was lacking. There were the four horsemen of the apocalypse, the antichrist, and magic yet nothing delved too deep and the whole book felt like a joke. The action was blink and you miss it, there was no drama, the romance didn't develop at all and was just sexual attraction.

I also thought making everyone just accept that all of this is happening without questioning anything was lazy writing. The author didn't bother to examine deep emotions or go beyond the surface with anything. There could have been so much more with this but instead it was like a parody of a novel.

Freaking hilarious! Tabitha has grown up in the foster care system and is a leather-wearing, tattooed, goth girl. She doesn’t take nonsense from anyone. When a strange man arrives at her door and informs her she’s inherited a fortune, things seem to be changing. Little does she know.

This was snarky, fun, steamy and just a great read with strong female friendships (I won’t spoil things, but the way things tie in for Tabitha’s childhood friend from the system work out nicely with the plot), good chemistry, and a fun plot. I love horsemen of the apocalypse romances, and this was a great twist on that theme with reverse harem thrown in. Steamy scenes were varied and HOT! Bonus points for Pestilence getting all offended as the horsemen are introduced and insisting he like totally doesn’t go around with a spray can of Raid. The voice is totally what makes it snarky and fun.

Please excuse typos/name misspellings. Entered on screen reader.

The story begins with an unwelcome, middle-of-the-night caller for the heroine, Tabitha, who decides to give whoever has woken her up a big surprise by answering the door wearing nothing but her tattoos. It’s a good opening, funny, intriguing, and offering a taste of Tabitha’s take-no-prisoners personality and distinctive voice.
The visitor, an attorney by the name of Mattan, is unfazed by Tabitha’s state of undress. He informs her that she’s inherited a fortune and there’s a huge manor house in Salem just waiting for her to move in. It’s an offer the penniless Tabby can’t refuse. Accompanied by best friend Lizzie, who she met in foster care, she boards a private jet along with Mattan, a reassuring kind of character who ‘just had this face you could trust.’ During the trip he tells Tabby she’s a descendant of the Rothledges and the Lambs, two families who centuries earlier fled the Holy Land and eventually ended up in Salem, along with others in the same situation. So how did she end up in foster care, instead of being raised at home? Elliot and Levana, her parents are now dead, so Tabby can only hope she’ll find answers to this and other questions when she gets to her destination.
There’s plenty of action and humour in this first part of the book. The whacky plot becomes curiouser and curiouser with a series of preposterous encounters and revelations that keep the reader entertained. In a nutshell, Tabby meets a weird, hairless, bat-eared cat called Drake which/who turns out to be a) her twin, stuck in feline form b) the Antichrist. His tricks summon up the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, last seen on earth nine hundred years ago, who inform Tabby she’s the Lamb of God. Other twists and turns lead up to a confrontation between the forces for good (Tabby, the horsemen, Lizzie and a Goth Lolita called Ariel) and those for evil (Drake the Antichrist, the trustworthy Mattan, who is actually a very bad baddie, and a band of Incels=Involuntary Celibates).
It was in the middle of all this that the initial momentum fizzled out. There’s a large cast of characters and a complicated backstory which we hear about in lengthy and repetitive discussions–ancient tribes, thirteen families, century-long feuds, secret babies, mixed bloodlines, second daughters of nameless cousins getting seduced by old widowers. I found it hard to follow and harder to imagine the different individuals and their relevance to the plot. Having read and enjoyed the author’s Secret Agent Mauve series, where there are fewer characters and more action, I felt that so much historical filling and speculation as to what would happen next was more of a distraction than a help.
But as Tabby says at one point: ‘I had three jobs now. Stop the apocalypse, destroy Drake, and convince all four of (the horsemen) we needed to have some sort of polyamorous kink thing going on.’ This book being in the words of the author ‘a dark reverse harem romance’, the discussions are interspersed with passages where the heroine gets down and dirty to attend to the kinky business, aided and abetted by the well-endowed, multi-talented horsemen who do their utmost to bring Tabby’s escalating fantasies to hot, steamy life. I would recommend fans of the genre to skip the history lessons and head straight for the boudoir.

For a book with such an awesome cover, title and a blurb that had me hooked after the first sentence, I am so bummed about how little I enjoyed this book. The concept is great but the execution was really lacking. Looks like the cover got a redo but seems to me like the entire book could use some help. For a standalone RH novel it was already a bad sign when the heroine didn't meet her harem until 30%. Not only that but the men (horsemen) were pretty drab and forgettable. There was really no "Romance" or connection between any of the characters. So little actually happens in the book which is surprising because there really is a whole lot of detail but it's almost disappointing how little things are developed. Parts of the story were too predictable and where there should have been action we had some very anticlimactic and disappointing scenes. For the antichrist the cat was a pretty boring character whom disappears for most of the book. Not to mention the heroine starts the apocalypse and yet NOTHING happens, couldn't there have been locusts or something smh.

This was an entertaining read. A little romance, a lot of hot sex and a fun twist on a religious theme.

When I first saw the title I immediately thought, no, my cat is the antichrist (my neighbours have the scratches to prove it). How wrong I was. I never realised the title was meant literally.

After growing up in foster care, Tabitha enters a world of secret rooms, a bald, sweater wearing cat, and a family she never knew she had. And just when she thinks she’s adjusting four gorgeous men in the form of the horsemen of apocalypse turn up.

The book is told from Tabitha’s point of view and I loved her kick-ass way of looking at life. A page turner right to the end.

OMG this is hilarious. I’ve read so much from this author and each time I think I have a favorite she outdoes herself. With a range from dark thrillers to comedy there is no genre she hasn’t nailed. This one is a bit of a mashup being comedy and reverse harem. The four horsemen were such a fun twist. I mean seriously with them to play with, bring on the apocalypse. The cat…umm I’m not giving that away, but I was rolling. And Mattan… WTH made my skin crawl. This really was so much fun in so many ways from laughing to smoking hot.

At the beginning I was somehow not able to get really into this story, but after quarter of the book down it finally sucked me in. Plot is building slowly at first till getting pretty fast-paced. Characters are interesting, and, let’s be honest, quite sexy. All at all it was nice read.

This book had a great little mix of everything: romance, sex, cats, and weirdness.

I absolutely loved Tabitha’s character. She’s strong-headed and witty. When she decided to open the door naked to scare away her visitor, I laughed because I don’t think I’ve ever read about a main character quite like her before.

When her life begins to seemingly change for the better, she keeps it in stride, but she’s suspicious, especially when she sees the strange-looking cat in a sweater. When the four horsemen turn up as four gorgeous guys, however, she has to re-evaluate her current take on the situation.

The story was fine, but this book just didn't do anything for me. The emotional reactions of the characters just seemed a little off to, which translated to being emotionally shallow. For example, Tabby learns of this horrible thing that happened to her mother, and doesn't react much. She finds out how her parents dies, and just seems to brush it off.She learns who Nathan is and what he has done and seems to have a very, "oh, that sucks. What's for lunch?" type attitude. Even when it comes to the horsemen, she seems to dwell on the physical, and doesn't really mention much else.

This is a dark and fun RH. Tabby the GOTH girl finds out after being in foster care her entire life, she had a huge family. Including a twin brother, drumroll, who turns out to be the anti-Christ. Along with her roommate Lizzie, the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, and Lizzie’s sister, they make up the heavenly, albeit kinky group, to stop the Apocalypse. This book is not only hot, and full of action-it’s hilarious!!!

Stand-alone with a Spicy ending

JB Trepagnier is excellent as always with this story about the apocalypse. Multidimensional characters, bad guys you can easily despise, and love-interests that don't overshadow the lead.

My Cat is the Antichrist by JB Trepagnier is a story of Tabitha and her best friend Lizzy. The story starts with Tabitha opening a door to a complete stranger. Tabitha’s life changes overnight as soon as she flies from her dingy apartment in Kentucky to the manor of Salem.
The story revolves around Tabitha and the legacy she has inherited from her parents. There’s one more interesting aspect to all that’s happening and that is the presence of a weird-looking cat Drake. Drake is skinless and has ears of a bat. Much to the surprise, Drake was also Tabitha’s younger brother’s name who went missing just when Tabitha was dumped to a foster home in Kentucky.
One more thing that goes parallel with the main story is the sizzling chemistry that Tabitha shared with all the four horsemen. There’s a conflict as Tabitha had to restrain herself especially when the apocalypse is in the offing. It’s a reverse harem, so of course you will find some hot and steamy passion in this book.
Why Tabitha was there in the manor, who’s Drake, the cat, and the fate of Tabitha and the four horsemen. The answers to all these questions were hidden there in the pages.
This is a quite an imaginary book with well written prose and an intriguing storyline. Plot is unique and fresh and that’s the USP of the book. However, at times the information gets too heavy on the reader especially if they don’t know much about the apocalypse in the setting, breaking of the seals, horsemen, folklore, legends, and myths. That said, it was an outstanding attempt at writing a Reverse Harem romance against the backdrop of a pre-apocalyptic gothic setting.

The cover and the title made me giggle before I even turned the first page. And I was right—My Cat is the Antichrist is hilarious! I haven’t read anything that twisted in a long time. I don’t even know what was more bizarre--Tabitha herself, our badass, purple-haired, Goth heroine, who turns out to be the Chosen One; Drake, the comical, demonic villain stuck in the body of a bat-eared cat; or the super-hot quadruple love interest in the form of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (who also happen to be quite skilled at hacking and love-making.)

Strange encounters, funny ripostes, and ridiculous plot turns pile up, making you impatiently wait for two things to happen—the forces of good saving the world from the Antichrist and Tabitha finally getting her fivesome with the Horsemen.

As for the former, I’d have preferred a little less conversation and a little more action. There was so much talking about the complex history of the ancient families and a lot of Sherlock-Holmes-like deducing of the enemies’ moves. Yet when it came to the confrontation with the Antichrist and his pervy papa, I found it a bit rushed. As for the kinky stuff though, it’s all there and expanding throughout pages. The grand finale is very satisfying. :)

I’m sure erotica and paranormal romance lovers will enjoy this little gem of very unbiblical pleasure.

Tabitha and Lizzie were two young women who survived the foster care system together. soul sisters, they bonded when young, and stuck together, until they both aged out and moved into a cheap apartment together.

a mysterious man comes to visit and tells them that Tabby has inherited a manor and a fortune, and Lizzie is welcome if she wants to join her.

A creepy hairless Russian cat who bears the name of her missing twin brother is present at the manor, and they are greeted by some funky friends who feel a bit like extended family as well.

in a variety of twisted ways, the soul family becomes evident, along with some very sexy surprises, and more than a few epic battles.

if you are a fan of fantasy and reverse harem romance - especially with a dark twist - then you have just opened and epic funny and steamy adventure, made with your quirky self in mind!

I love the cover of this book! It’s one of my favorite I’ve seen in awhile. It definitely draws you in and makes you want to read it, which makes me add the final point to the rating.

Two besties live together and try to make ends meet by bartending, but that all changes when a relative shows up and proclaims one of them to be a long-lost family member. All seems great, if a little hard for them to believe, until the cat turns out to be more than a cat, and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse show up. Then all hell breaks loose.

There is some conflict, for me, between the storyline and the sex scenes, because the characters keep getting carried away with passions and have a hard time getting their investigations done. When the conflict resolves, it seemed a bit too easily accomplished, I’d have perhaps like to have seen that play out a little more in-depth. The book is a solid choice for those who love to combine the paranormal with bedroom play. Enjoy!

This sexy reverse menage book by JB Trepagnier was deliciously full of detailed, vivid and graphic descriptions of the mutually enjoyed sexual relations shared by Tabatha and the 4 men which were mind blowing to say the least. The main female characters, Tabatha and Libby, were strong determined kick-ass women who had been together through thick and thin, mostly thin, without knowing why. It was also about trying to stop the end of the world as we know it with a battle between the dark and evil Antichrist and his army and the gathered and determined heaven-sent weapons on the side of good and righteousness. And, at its heart, it was all about family: finding it, accepting it, living it, and loving it. This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Booksprout.

Tabitha was put into the foster system when she was 2 she didn’t know her parents but she made a best friend in Lizzie and now they share a crappy apartment and both work at the same club. Tabitha was lying on her bed when someone was persistently knocking on her door so she thought that she would teach them a lesson and go and answer the door naked but what she found at her door was a lawyer. Tabitha was told that she had inherited a house and money from her parents so if she wanted to claim it then she needed to go to Salem, she told Lizzie what was going on so they both packed their bags to go to Salem. That’s just the beginning to this story but there is so much more, this is an amazing story with mystery and a very bad cat. I loved it and it’s a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

This was a fluke purchase but I was attracted to the cover and love animals so I bought it. What a pleasant surprise to not go with one’s usual genre and find that the old adage holds true no matter what, an entertaining story—a good story—is a good story no matter the genre. The story centers around Tabitha and her BFF Lizzy. Reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland going down the rabbit hole, the story starts with a mysterious visitor and major life changes (from rags to riches). There is so much in these pages that are enticing and enjoyable: a legacy, cats and their antics, sexual tension, passion, impending doom, and much more. It all works under the umbrella of a tightly-written and action-packed with well described scenes. This is one of those book where the cover serves its insides. All well done.

I generally like this author but this book was a “miss” for me and I skipped to the end.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

I wasn’t so sure about this book because it seemed like a story that should be a series and I absolutely hate starting series that aren’t complete bc I just forget about them and never finish. . I opened it because I’m a big fan of JB trepagnier. I’m glad I did. It started off slow and I had lots and lots of questions. I could not figure out where the book was leading how ever it was hilarious. All the characters are well written. Because it was a stand alone we didn’t get as much back story and frivolous character interaction you would in a series but all in all it was a fantastic book. I finished it in a day. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

Also.. sexy times were definitely on point for a RH I like that each horseman got their alone time with her before the big group scene.

My Cat is The Antichrist: A Dark Reverse Harem Romance” by JB Trepagnier
is a tale of one Tabitha who is mysteriously informed of a strange inheritance that is quite huge and a mansion that is ...well ...rather “possessed” by some daemonic characters or was that angelic creatures ...four rather sexy horsemen of apocalypse ...and one VERY. evil ...um...charming hairless sweater wearing furball named Drake...that quite literally could ..kinda be ..um...THE Antichrist.
Can Tabitha and her BFF Lizzy...make sense of all this?!? Read and see. Much enjoyed and Highly Recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book.

I loved Tabby and Lizzie. They survived a horrible foster system, still struggled to survive as they aged out. Enter the lawyer who serves Tabby with the notice of her inheritance and the story zooms off from there. This author definitely provides world building and character development. Definitely can be a stand-alone but ending did leave opening for future development I hope. Know this will appeal to a wide range of adults as long as you’re young at heart. Definitely has heated moments that might be off the charts so be aware if this is not your cup of tea.

The story line is a dark one that the author carries with a passion for her characters. The story opens with a young woman named Tabitha receiving a strange visit informing her she has received a large inheritance and a house from her long lost, but now apparently deceased, parents. Upon arriving at her new home she finds a number of mysterious residents that claim to be angels or demons hastening the end of the world. To avoid spoilers I won't answer whether they truly are supernatural beings or mental patients. The author does a great job with dialogue and placing the reader in the scenes. some of which are not for young readers.

Let me start by saying I am quite familiar with Ms. Trepagnier's work. I have read many of her books and have liked each for it's own unique appeal. This story however has left me with mixed feelings.
It is a good story, it flows well throughout and is easy to follow, plus I absolutely love the cover.
What I found bothersome, and trust me I am no prude and have the ability to mix words with the best of them. The profanity in this book to me was unnecessarily over the top. The sex 'scenes' if you will, did nothing for me, and that may be because I'm male, granted- but erotic? Not to me.
Regardless, I would still certainly recommend the book for the storytelling, just not my 'cup of tea.'

Never thought I’d see the day where a cat would be scary. Turns out in this book, that cat might just bring about the end of the world for being the Antichrist. If ugly cats were only the problem then it wouldn’t be so bad. Turns out there is more playing in the background than originally thought.

This books is full of funnies and laughs to be had. Just like most of Trepagnier’s other works, the way the book unfolds draws you in and keeps you wanting more. This one doesn’t disappoint for anyone looking for a strong female lead, a reverse harem and doesn’t mind talking about the occult. Have fun!

Just from the name of the book, I didn't quite know what to expect. But as I read about Drake, the hairless creeper cat and Antichrist, I found myself saying "oh no" many times and a few laughs moments.

Tabby, a small town Kentucky girl, inherits a thirty bedroom manor and soon discovers there are a few secrets hiding within the walls. Or should I say rooms? Then we have the four sexy horsemen, and you can imagine what kind of entertainment Tabby and the four fellas get into.

This book is sexy, entertaining, dark at times, and just down right good. I surly don't regret the purchase.

What happens when you have a Lawyer and the antichrist up against the four horsemen and two sassy chicks? A fun, sarcastic, and wild page-turning read!

My Cat is THE ANTICHRIST by Trepagnier was one heck of a read. It was a little out that, but that is what makes it completely worth the read. The world the author created was small but was put together well. The characters had to be the best part of the book. Very thought out and detailed. Now the story came together perfectly around the characters.

I would recommend this book to those who are 18 plus and like fun rated R books.

So the Antichrist is a hairless cat in a jumper, and the heroine, Tabitha's twin brother - that's original and mind boggling! The book was hilarious and kept me laughing to the end, and I wouldn't mind meeting those horsemen, especially with the steamy encounters! Unfortunately the narration ruined the book for me, the snorting, laughing and bedroom sounds just annoyed me!! I'd give this book the full 5 stars, if I was reading the ebook, I would even recomend using a text to speech app, but the book is worth it.

I really loved this story. It is amazing. The storytelling is engaging and the characters are wonderful. I relished the cat as the anti christ and I thought the whole plot was well constructed and very imaginative. Definitely a five star read, I just didn’t want to put it down. The four horsemen were fabulous, the heroine was awe inspiring, and her soul sister was an excellent character.
