Bitches To Witches

Rate this book
Witches aren't real, are they?

No, they aren't, at least, that's what Nat keeps telling herself.

A witch and a human can't possibly make their friendship work, but that's exactly what Nat and Sybil are doing, and they're absolutely killing it. Well, killing it until Nat catches Sybil practicing magic. She must be hallucinating, or maybe she had a seizure, but she damn sure thought she saw a floating desk. That's weird, right? Yes, it is, but when Sybil realizes she has no choice but to tell Nat the truth, Nat can't imagine a world where witches exist and magic is legit.

A secret exposed only lends to an already sketchy world, because it's becoming glaringly obvious that there's more to Westin Prep than meets the eye. When a student goes missing and turns up nearly dead, blood sacrifice is the word being thrown around. Between that and a cute track star paying attention to Nat for the first time, her world is about to take a drastic turn.

Bitches to Witches is a split POV, young-adult, urban fantasy novel, book 1 in the Bitches To Witches series.

Warning: B2W includes language, graphic adult situations, bullying, and violence, but while those are dark themes, B2W is meant to be a fun read.

My husband and I live in Texas where we raise our three amazing, yet crazy boys.

Writing has been my passion since I was in my teens, but I was never able to commit to it full time until 2020.

In the past I had the opportunity to work as a newspaper columnist for two different newspapers, but my heart was always in fiction.

I have a fun, 6 book, complete series out now on Amazon, and also available at Walmart. Check out A Fairy Awesome Series.

A magical world of witches, besties, and hot track stars.

Nat & Sybil are insta-besties, but they couldn't be more opposite. It isn't just their personalities though, because Sybil is a witch.

Turns out they're more alike than they thought.

I loved this book, especially after having read Aiden's other series, A Fairy Awesome Series. From what I hear, there will be some crossover characters in the B2W series, and I couldn't be more excited.

This book has it all, magic, witches, betrayal, love, and some sexy scenes thrown in for good measure. If you're looking for raunchy scenes and expecting it after reading Aiden's other books, you'll be disappointed, but I didn't mind. The storyline is plenty to keep you engaged.

Highly recommend. 5 Stars.

I think this book has a little something for everyone there is action, magic, surprising plot twists, murder, all with a sprinkling romance.
Let's start with the action. I will say this book took a little bit to fully suck me into the plot. After I hit that point I couldn't put the book down. There are a lot of things going on at this school that don't really make a lot of sense when you first start out reading. The Author does a good job of giving you little bits and pieces of info to let you speculate on your own while steering you in the right direction the more you read. There are a lot of bursts of action that happen throughout to keep you on your toes. There are several plot twists that happen throughout. There is one in particular that I can't wait to see how it influences the book going forward.
I love the magic in this book. Though we don't get to see a ton of it. There was a good amount revealed about how the magic system in this world works. One of my favorite things about reading books with magic is seeing each authors individual take on how it presents, how it works, etc. Its so fun and I can't wait to learn more about it in future books.
As far as the romance in this book, It was definitely appropriate for a YA audience. There is one scene in particular that can be a little mature but overall this book is very tame. My feelings towards the romance are positive. We are just in the very beginning so I don't have a lot of commentary on it besides that I am interested to see how it develops throughout the rest of the series.
Last but not least I like the setting of this book. I really am a sucker for books set in boarding schools. I could have used a little more description of the scenery and architecture of the school I was having a hard time picturing what the grounds looked like but overall it didn't bother me to much or take away from my enjoyment of the story.
Overall I enjoyed myself while reading this book. If you are looking for a fun, easy to read YA Fantasy book check this out. Like I said above I think this book has a little something for everyone.

Nat and Sybil are good friends. They go on double dates, have each other's backs, and solve blood sacrifices. While, Nat may be a human, I liked that she was understanding and accepting of Sybil. Both women are very likable that I could not pick a favorite.

I have to admit that in the beginning, I was not feeling the story. I put the book down and walked away. Yet, when I came bac to it, I found myself vibing with it and it was a fast read. This book in fact, kind of reminded me of the Netflix show, Fate, the Winx Saga. It had elements of being a bit dark as well. When it came t the romance it was fine but I did not really feel like it was necessary to the overall storyline.

There may be blood sacrifices but nothing really gory in detail. In fact, fantasy readers who are looking for something to read that is is a step up from young adult fantasy may want to pick up this book.

I got this book because I wanted something witchy to read as it’s fall time. I have always been obsessed with witches , and I was torn between this book and another book and I decided , why not I’ll just read it and then next thing I know I’m halfway through the book in one night and then I said I’ll just
Finish one chapter tonight and I finished the book. And now clearly I have to finish the whole series. This book kept my interest the whole time.

I will try and make this review spoiler free.

Nat is the shy somewhat loner type at her high school and she is subjected to daily bullying from the resident mean girl. That in until she makes a new friend, enter Sybil.

Having only read one book from Ellie Aiden prior to this I can say that I was pleasantly surprised. This book has the same amount of humor and interesting plot twists as the first book that I read from this author had.

I found Nat and Sybil enjoyably and engaging to read. I enjoyed Sybil much more than Nat. I found Nat to be a little more boring and juvenile, however; Nat's faults really play into the story.

The world building is a little lack luster as the story takes place in a world that is very modern and similar to our current world. I did enjoy that magic that was used and the interesting ways that magic seems to manifest in certain individuals. There was potential for future world building and I'm eager to see where that goes.

The romance in this book for very sparse, practically non existent. However, there was groundwork set for future books. I do hope that Aiden adds in a smidge more romance in future installments.

I only found one issue while reading and that was in the end (the last 30 pages or so) it got a little info dumpy. Despite that Bitches to Witches was quick, fun and full of twists that kept it interesting.

I received an arc from the author for an honest review.

I was sent the ARC for this book and I really enjoyed it!
It took me a little bit to get into it because I haven't read from the POV of a teenager in a while and the lingo and such threw me off at first. BUT Once I got into it I really started to love that two main characters. Their friendship had me rooting so hard for them. The romances were fun and had me craving for more. There was action, jokes, mystery, and drama!

Can't wait for the next book!!!!!

Nat is a high school student who unfortunately doesn't fit in her rich elite school; therefore, she gets bullied by the Witch of Westin. Her coven basically Mean Girls with influential families.

Sybil is a new student at Westin Prep, previously homeschooled, and now doing a semester of regular school. She does seem interested in strange things and even mentions witches and covens like real ones, not mean girls with their friends. I like her version of how witches came it be.

Some curious mysteries are happening at this school. Nat and Sybil form an unlikely alliance, and the paranormal truth spills out. Someone goes missing, and of course, that means Sybil tries something new. It is a lot for Nat to process, and she has plenty of doubts. There are also some old-fashioned high school romance and steamy bedroom scenes.

This book gets even more interesting as many secrets are revealed, and the action ramps up. The paranormal parts get exciting and oh so interesting as more than one character is now a paranormal. Right as you think all the questions are answered, you realize they aren't. The girls seem to find trouble with classmates and bigger trouble where ever they go. Just as everything comes to a head, they must return to school and get into more trouble. I was really surprised by who comes to their rescue and how that all plays out. I wish there was more on the relationship between Nat and Matt and Sybil and Jayson, as that was a nice reprieve from the chaos and trouble. I felt it was an afterthought as they are only mentioned a few times in the story.

The prologue is intriguing as now we are seeing another characters' perspective. However, I assumed she was an antagonist in the storyline. Well, that little spiel confirms it, but how will Nat and Sybil survive? What's to come? I can't wait for the next book in this series.

I actually really like this book. It doesn't contain a whole lot of romance, but it has an amazing paranormal storyline. I liked how the author incorporated magic and the troubles and suspense into it. I love how it progressed, and you learned so much about the characters and the plans of the unethical teacher. Nate's character seems a little shy and unsure of herself.

On the other hand, Sybil is confident, blunt, and loud, and I loved viewing stuff from her point of view. The steamy scenes are very young adult; however, the general plotline is new adult with the language and more gruesome scenes. This book was excellent overall, and a fun read to get sucked into. I thought the author did a great job bouncing between character perspectives and including many well-rounded characters in her story.

"I'm in hell." High school, right? But for Nat, there's a lot more to it than that. From absent parents to horrific bullies, and you know, the occasional mass murder on her school's grounds. But things seem to be looking up when she finally makes friends with a new student named Sybil. Following a mysterious flu-like episode, Nat accidentally stumbles upon Sybil doing impossible things. Finding out her new (and only) friend is a witch is only the beginning of the weird happenings surrounding them and their school.

Bitches to Witches is a fun adventure from beginning to end. Ellie Aiden did such a beautiful job balancing dark themes with humor and engaging characters. The gruesome moments are emotionally charged without the details being overly horrific. The twists and revelations throughout the novel are sprinkled in between light-hearted moments, so readers will never know what's coming.

Readers will also love that both Nat and Sybil have such distinct voices and attitudes, and reading how they balance each other out is enjoyable and endlessly amusing. Their loving friendship gives the reader hope that they'll be able to conquer whatever comes their way.

Something readers may have a hard time with is the intimate moments. While most of the novel is incredible at showing, not telling, the spicy scene feels like a list of events rather than flowing organically. This may be because those involved don't have much time to connect leading up to it, so readers may find there's a lack of authenticity and passion.

With all the above mentioned, I rate Bitches to Witches four out of five stars. It's a fun story, filled with unique characters, twists, and magic. It's a perfect read for those who love contemporary fantasy novels, capitalized with some mild steam. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Nat and Sybil will do next.

ℝ𝔼𝕍𝕀𝔼𝕎:
I was sent a copy of this book as part of the Bitches to Witches Street Team for an honest review.

Journey with me on all my thoughts while reading and my overall opinion of this book.

From the beginning of the story, the characters were very relatable and it seemed like a fun and easy to read. I found that I had a slight loss of engagement but it really picked back up by chapter 3. I really enjoyed the different POVs and how Ellie goes into depth about how the characters are feeling and thinking.

By page 80, I was absolutely loving the events that were happening and I became so invested in this story! Halfway through my mind was spinning with questions from the building mystery. Then some steamy moments followed by some more mystery. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! 💕💕💕

Nearing the end... O.M.G! What?!?! I'm so shocked!! So many twists I didn't see coming! I loved reading the epilogue. It was great at providing some insight into the direction of the series.

This book had just the right amount of mystery, witchiness and romance, which made me devour this book in 2 sittings. Bring on the next book, Ellie Aiden! I am so pumped for this series!

Congratulations Ellie on a great to the series!

To start, I want to say that the story is perfection. It’s got a little bit of everything and it enough to keep someone reading.

The foreshadowing in this book is on point as well. It takes awhile to come out, but it starts early and really sells the story I think. Besides that, it’s a typical high school story - well, boarding school is more accurate technically.

Now there’s some romance in here, but to me that seemed unnecessary and didn’t add anything to the story. The first but also came out of nowhere and didn’t make sense to me at all. But there isn’t much, so it’s not enough to ruin a solid story.

With that being said, the love interests in this book are absolutely adorable. The little dates sprinkled in are just *chefs kiss*. They make the girls seem more “normal” and relatable.

I have questions. So many questions. However, I feel like all the questions are kind of the point. It’s a series, so we can’t have all the answers in book one now can we?

I’m definitely interested to read more. It started slow and then ended on a cliffhanger - which is killing me!

I received an ARC from the author to review.

BOOK RATE: 5/5

This was a perfect book to read for the month of October! Loved it soo much. If you’ve read Ellie Aiden ‘A Fairy Awesome Story series, Bitches to Witches is set in the same 4 realms universe as A Fairy Awesome Series.
Nat is the new girl in school and becomes friends with a witch named Sybil. Unusual things begin to happen to Nat. Is she a witch or not? Suddenly there’s a student who’s gone missing on school grounds. Strange things begin to happen. Nat and Sybil are there to experience it all. Can’t forget about romance- there’s romance and some spicy romance as you read. And of course there’s always a group of popular girls in school-mean girls! Drama, dram, drama!
Prepare yourself for a big twist at the end! ‘Bitches to Witches’ is the first book to a series. I can’t wait to see what happens next for Nat and Sybil!!

🚨Warning: B2W includes language, graphic adult situations, bullying, and violence.

Bitches to Witches is the perfect book for a cozy read. There are some aspects like blood sacrifices and bullying that can be trigger for some people but it's not that dark.
The theme is a proper balance of romance, adventure, magic, family secrets and most importantly a perfect definition of friendship. I just loved the bond between Sybil and Nat.Tbh I sooo wanted them to be a couple that the twist disheartened me a little 😅. But all that disheartening is well covered by Matt and Jayson 🤭. The boys are so cute that you can't help but love them.
And then there's Lizzy Ann, she's an absolute bully and I hated her from the start. But then came the least expected twist to her character and now am stuck between hating her or not.
What I liked about the book was that it gives proper justification to every character, you won't feel like anyone was ignored or leftout. Also the cliffhanger was not the frustrating one. Like it ends in a satisfactory way and also leaves you eager for the next part.

A wonderful opener to a new saga.
I’ve become a big fan of this author through reading her Fairy Awesome series, and Bitches to Witches sets off with similar style and humour.
The primary characters, Nat and Sybil, are swiftly established in a way that puts you firmly in their corner. Nat is the quiet, lonely, bullied student, who is trying to keep under the radar until the end of term. Sybil is a new arrival who is unattached to any established cliques. They instantly hit it off and, as their friendship starts to build, they begin to discover weird stuff about each other.
Nat walks in on Sybil practicing magic, and Sybil witnesses Nat’s episodic pains and anger-fuelled trances. Alongside these threads, Sybil coaxes her friend to dabble in the new experience of boys, and they are both drawn into a messy situation when they discover the nearly dead body of a Nat’s roommate, who has just been attacked. The plot is thickening!

Book 1 in this new series is a pretty amazing start!

Nat is just trying to make it to her graduation then she can get away from her bullies and start the life she's always dreamed of.

Sybil's sister has decided to send her to a private school for the rest of her senior year so she can say she's experienced the real high school life.

Nat and Sybil become besties almost immediately. But Sybil has something she's hiding, and weird things are beginning to happen to Nat.

Add in a couple cute popular boys (one who is finally paying more attention to Nat), an attack on another student (who just so happens to be Nat's roommate), lots of secrets and weird interactions... And the final half of Nat's high school career is going nothing like how she thought or even planned for it to go.

This book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. But if your a fan of YA, and witches, I highly recommend you check this new series out!

This is my first book by Ellie Aiden and it definitely won’t be my last. I really enjoyed getting to meet Nat as she enters a phase in her life when she realizes not everything is as it seems and hidden secrets could be her undoing. This story is centered around Nat, but I feel like Sybil steals the show. Her snarky no-nonsense attitude really adds comedic relief to the story. I love that both girls find kindred spirits in each other, especially at a time when they truly need one another. Aiden did such an incredible job with the world building and the character development, I couldn’t put this one down. The end of the book blows so many things wide up and leaves you dying for the next one! If you’re looking for a quick, magical read this is the one for you!
*while the characters are in high school there is some mature content*

I loved the Fairy Awesome series, but this is my favorite book by Ellie Aiden yet! It kept my interest the whole time, and I never wanted to stop reading.

Some characters from the Fairy Awesome books do make appearances, reading them first isn't a prerequisite. (At least not for this book, but you should totally read them. )

The characters were well-written and relatable, and I was rooting for Nat and Sybil in many ways throughout the book.

I can't wait to see what comes of their different relationships at school.

Nat and Sybil are both students at Westin prep, and while there are some enemies, as well as love interests, things aren't always what they seem. Lots of secrets will be revealed throughout the book, and there are some spooky vibes as well. Can't wait for book two!

I wish I could do half a star, because this one really deserves 4.5. I rounded down just because it's almost impossible to get 5 stars out of me.

I've ready a few other books from this author, and I'm kinda surprised she hasn't struck it big yet or gotten picked up by a pub. She has the snarky one-liners down to a T, and while her sex scenes are raunchy, they're also the best kind.

For me, the stand out in this book, unlike her prior ones is the relationship between Nat and Sybil, they're kinda Co-MCs, even though I think Nat is actually the main MC. They meet, they lock eyes, and they fall in bestie love. I LOVED IT! Oh, and Matt and Jayson are kinda hot too (or a lot)

Great read. Recommend, and ready for book #2 to come out

Whirlwind of Suspense

A magically absorbing mystery looms over Westin Prep. Knowledge of Nat's experiences cast a vivid scene. From rich girls’ torment being her personal hell to a refreshing new student with special skills quickly becoming her bff. I guess you could say Nat went from Bitches To Witches.

Ellie Aiden has the potion down for timely banter humor offering relief from all the turmoil brewing and spilling over.

Witches, Romance, and Friendship

Bitches to Witches is a story that looks at many issues high school kids face today. Nat just trying to get through the year so she can get out. Keeping a low profile, she does her best to avoid the school bully Lizzy Ann. Sybil is a spirit young woman who connects with the low-key Nat, and a new friendship begins. When Nat starts to experience a strange illness and the shocking discovery, the girls find hidden in the woods sends them down a path to learn what is going on. Throw in some young men who find the girls irresistible, and you have a base for a fascinating tale.

BESTIE POWER!!!

Nat and Sybil are definately my new favorite besties. I loved that this series switched back and forth with their POV, and that their were no male POV, unlike this authors other books. It was refreshing. Not to say that I didn't love Matt and Jayson though, because I DID!

The storyline in Bitches To Witches isn't your average storyline. I was prepared for it to be just another witch book. There were several twists and turns, and the author reveal information throughout the book so that it wasn't all dumped at the end.

I'm interested to see more with Professor Spicer and Lizzy Ann, i have a feeling there is more to them!

Not my favorite but still good.

I actually gave this book 3.5 stars, but rounded up for GR purposes. After reading some of the authors other work, this one didn't make me fall in love the way the others did. Now, that doesn't mean this wasn't a good book. It was.

Sybil and Nat meet and become best friends. Then they fall for best friends. And then shit hits the fan. No spoilers.

Recommended read, and will read the rest of the books in this series.

characters are too young for me. The battle with the school bully and the school crush are so meh. Then there’s the ‘master key’ and ‘diary hidden in the wall being stolen’ and the stupid doors that don’t ever lock. The ONLY interesting thing is the gym massacre. I could potentially keep reading to find out what that’s about but actually, the reading it is too uninteresting to get to that part.
It’s clunky and uninteresting and I just can’t get hooked.

Bitches to Witches was a fun book to read. The story takes place in the human world which means there are a lot of secrets and in my opinion that makes everything more interesting. I absolutely love the friendship between Nat and Sybil. It has to be one of my favourite things about this book. I can tell that this is going to be another fantastic series by Ellie.

I didn't think I was going to like this one, and it did take a while to get into, but in the end I realized I wanted to read book #2. I was expecting a reverse harem since that's the norm for this author, so if that's what you're looking for this is not it. There are S3X scenes, and they are graphic, but each of the two MCs have their own male love interest.

Borrowed this one from my sister, and I have to say i was pleasantly surprised. I don't usually like witch books, but I appreciated this one. Mostly because of the POV of Sybil and Nat. They are opposites, so switching between the two helped offset Sybil's craziness with Nat's Debbie downer attitude.

I've got book 2 marked to read when it releases.

Witches are real?

Holy shit!

This book was funny, while addressing more serious themes. The relationship between Nat and Sybil was perfect, and while I wish there had been a little more sexy times, I figure we're getting to that in future books.

Love the twist at the end, and the epilogue had me salivating for book 2.

The highlight of this book was the bestie power going on. Nat and Sybil are friend goals for sure.

The magic aspect could've been a little more in depth, but the characters more than made up for it.
