Started pretty strong with information describing hormones and neuroscience, and devolved into advice you would expect a neurotypical person to give someone with ADHD; I'm generally skeptical of anyone who would suggest CBT to children in favor of certain accommodations, and the suggestions offered weren't even novel in the realm of ADHD books. And after looking at the author's other books, it seems likely that it was written for sales.

I couldn’t go beyond chapter one - which was spent belaboring how children with ADHD are - without any nuance or exception - dumber than their counterparts, in which she compares a high-achieving med student with a lucrative youtube channel with a person with ADHD, who we’re only told is too chaotic and distracted to do literally anything at all.

To top it off, on the audiobook, there were several careless mispronunciations (the prefontal “coretexT” was mentioned quite a few times). Absolute garbage. I feel bad for anyone who continued.

A short book that reiterates a lot of strategies to deal with ADD. Nothing really new, it’s better described in other books. This ca serve as an quick reminder. What turned me down, even that the author writes sometime about the ADD in the “we” form, as if she would be also inflicted, but on many paces the tone about ADD is ableistic and it’s clear that some internal struggle is not well understood.

Such a helpful guide

This book will help parents with ADHD kids and adults, who recognize their ADHD tendencies, alike. So many adults suffer with ADHD that has never been diagnosed. It can and will affect both personal and business relationships. this book will be a big help!
