Marc Weinmeister is a writer, among other things. He writes for himself and is glad to share his art, feelings, and opinions with you, the reader. It is his hope that you can relate to the topics in these short stories. They were written over a period of 30 years or so. Weinmeister is not a purposeful writer, but rather a whimsical one. He is attracted to magical realism. Behind our Greek inspired tower of logic and science lies the vast infinitude of miracles that we attempt to describe. Explanations and logic are great tools - and very interesting. Miracles are fascinating. One Another is a collection of seven short stories. From internal narratives, cold war drama, becoming one of the pack, to science fiction, there is something in this book for everyone. They are all bite-sized, intriguing stories that will capture the reader from start to finish. When you are driving, riding a bike, or just falling asleep his fervent hope is that after reading these stories they will return to your thoughts. As a writer the stories that keep returning to his thoughts after reading them are Marc’s favorite types of reads. His hope is that One Another may delight you in that same way.Have a good read. A startlingly good collection of short stories. My only beef with the author is that there were too few! I particularly liked the story about a hunter working his trap lines and encountering wolves. Weinmeister is adept at science fiction and regular fiction, one doesn’t feel that he is locked in any one genre. A lovely debut.
