As the story of Iain and Liv continues, their village was attacked by the man who had proposed to Liv. Sten had captured Liv and her Thrall Iain. Giving her a choice of marriage or torture. Action packed and leaves you wanting more. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story given to me by the author. #Forbidden #FionaKnightley

What more can these two handle?!
I am voluntarily leaving this review. Although this leaves you on a cliffhanger, it is well worth it! I do with is was first person POV so I can connect with their feelings and thoughts better but I still connected!
Iain and Liv find theirselves in yet another troublesome situation. Their loyalty to each other is growing stronger every day. You also get to see some of what Torel goes through as well.
I felt so angry for them and hurt for all they are going through. But I’m glad to see that Liv and even Troel is understanding some of Iain’s feelings and slowly changing for the better in some ways! I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Wow, what a different continuation of the Liv and Iain story. Not what I expected but much more exciting.
The story continues after Liv and Iain are kidnapped by Sten. He doesn't want to marry her so much as to know the secrets of the clan.. The horrors of war, the torture Liv has to endure, Iain's powerlessness. The relief when Liv is freed but also the bewilderment when they return to Ribe. Who? Why?
You will read the reason in a sequel that will be nothing but exciting and shocking. And where will Rune, Elena and Iain be then? All reasons to follow this story

Holy crap, I guess you really need to tighten up that circle of "people who can be trusted," right? Talk about the ultimate betrayal. With Liv refusing to marry Sten, she has pretty much signed her death warrant. Lain is trying to think of anything he can do to save her. The twists and turns will keep you up reading all night. What a series!! Add to this the new characters that are introduced. Hmmm, I'm anxious to see what part they'll play in this addictive, action packed drama. Will Liv and Lain's love survive? Come on Fiona! We need the next book! Hanging by a thread here, lol.

OMG!! I thought this story could not get any better but it does with each instalment. This story of Liv, the female Viking warrior, and Iain, the Scot captured on a raid, is totally engrossing. There is so much action, tension, suspense and romance entwined in so few pages and then wham! The cliffhanger leaving you panting for more. Brilliant!! I received an ARC and am leaving a totally voluntary, unbiased and honest review

Forbidden is the continuation of The Shield Maiden’s Highlander series.
Iain and Liv find themselves prisoners after having been captured at the end of the previous book. Their love for one another is made obvious as they are both concerned for one another especially when Liv is being tortured by the enemy.
This series has me captivated and I can't wait for the next one in the series to come out.

Liv and Iain are captured by Shen who didn’t wait for the answer from Liv about his proposal. Liv has a decision to make cooperate or torture. Meanwhile, Liv’s brother Troels is trying to put together a rescue with the help of other villages that were also attacked by Shen. Iain and Liv survives to the rescue to row home to more heartache. Troels shocks Iain after the rescue. I can’t wait for the nest book in the series. I received a free ARC copy for my honest and voluntary

Wow, this book was an amazing read that grabbed me and kept me interested till the end. It moves along at a nice speed making for an easy read, has interesting characters that you want to know more about and a story that does not disappoint. This book is a must read, you will not be sorry that you did.

While in captivity Liv chose the path of abuse rather than an easier path resulting in more abuse for an all ready abused Iain and horrific torcher to herself. While the clan warriors are away to rescue Iain and Liv there home and clan are attacked again by the rival clan resulting in disastrous end . A very fast paced exciting sequel of Iain and Liv’s story .This is my honest voluntary review .

Really enjoying this series! Realistic, rather brutal society. Great characters, insights into life, customs and living conditions. Only bad thing is it comes in segments, always ending at a critical point! Otherwise I’d award 5 stars!

This is another segment of The Shield Maiden's Highlander. Unlike the other two segments I didn't like this one. Maybe the next one will be more to my taste.

It was like another chapter in the series. I usually do not like this genre but this one as gotten under my skin. Cannot wait to read :Claimed", the next in the series.

Right when you think this story can't get any better, Ms. Knightley turns the heat up on this one. It is action packed and filled with so many twists and turns that you can't afford to take your eyes off the pages! I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
