What a wonderful story! The amnesia element REALLY makes the story that much BETTER!

Randy is hot on the bad guys' trail when something goes terribly wrong... his partner is his undercover wife, but he only recognizes her as his real wife. As the bad guys pursue them both, will Randy get his memory back in time to solve the case AND save both their lives?

Starnes did something completely different in this story that I really loved. Randy is actually annoyed at his partner before he gets amnesia and they're working on this case together but they're NOT clicking as new partners. The amnesia helps him look at her in a new way that is considerate and respectful. Makes the story sweeter while trying to outwit and outrun the bad guys who are determined to kill them.

Enjoyed the scenes with the sheriff also, he was an enhancement to the story.

Had no idea who the culprit was and when it's revealed, wowser. Didn't see THAT coming! Totally recommend this romantic suspense book, don't miss out!

I received a free copy from the author. I was not compensated for this review. The thoughts and comments are my own.

WOW this story was riveting from beginning to end! I highly recommend this fast paced, clean suspense book!

FBI agents Randy and Katherine are trying to break up a drug cartel when Randy is almost killed and gets amnesia. It was interesting to read what memories he remembered of his life and what he thought of his partner Katherine (not remembering exactly who she was).

I loved reading about their friendship and how it developed the more Randy got his memories back throughout the book. Lots of suspense, running from danger, and guessing who the "bad guy" was. I can't say enough good things about this story. I read it in one day because I couldn't stop reading.

I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

Wow, just wow! Amnesia is a trope that authors often use but author Rhonda Starnes offers a different perspective in her newest book. What if you found someone irritable, and didn't like them until you didn't remember knowing them? Is it possible that your attitude would change, and you'd find yourself with very different feelings? This is the case for FBI agent Randy Ingalls. He doesn't remember his undercover partner Katherine Lewis but he sure does like the Katherine that he now knows!

Perilous Wilderness Escape is the perfect title for this exciting story that has Randy and Katherine on the run in the Colorado mountains. Their efforts to take down a dangerous drug cartel soon become a race to stay alive and Starnes kept me guessing the villain's identity until the end! Readers are given an adrenaline rush that's filled with danger, adventure, and a blossoming romance, but there's also an inspiring faith message woven into the plot. If you enjoy Christian romantic suspense, you definitely want to read this book!

I received a copy from the author and publisher. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

Another fantastic and captivating story by Ms. Starnes! The characters pull you in, and there are a couple twists and turns that keep the story suspenseful. There is enough detail about the settings so that it is easy to picture the scenery and layout of different places they end up. Can't wait to read her next book!

Perilous Wilderness Escape by Rhonda Starnes is such an exciting book! I really enjoy reading Love Inspired Suspense books. They're books that keep me at the edge of my seat and ones I typically finish in a day or two depending on what else I have to do. (Dumb housework!) Perilous Wilderness Escape definitely kept me on the edge of my seat and wondering how the bad guys kept one step ahead of Randy and Katherine. Randy's amnesia added a lot to the story, and I think it allowed him to grow as a person as he got his memory back. I loved that his faith and trust in God always came through no matter what situation they were in and how it led Katherine to remember the faith she had as a child. The characters, setting, and suspense make this a book worth reading! I highly recommend it!

Although I thoroughly enjoyed Rhonda Starnes's previous book, Rocky Mountain Revenge, this one was much more my style! Romance with an amnesiac is a trope that can sometimes be over-the-top and implausible, but Mrs. Starnes did it justice here. It stayed interesting, was not overplayed, and unfolded nicely and in good time. The action scenes were so fun, plenty of narrow misses! I loved the creativity with which the author got characters out of sticky situations, like the attic scene (you'll know the one when you read it!). Trying to figure out the baddie was an adventure for sure. (Side note: I did guess correctly pretty early on, probably just due to my own impressive ability to pick up on tiny details and be a whole entire detective, but the author did have me second-guessing myself for a hot minute. ;)) The slowish romantic build-up between Randy and Katherine was sweet; I especially loved reading the way Randy thought of Katherine when he didn't truly remember who she was. These two were so easy to cheer on! Also, it's not necessary to read her previous book to understand this one, but the mentions of previous book characters were really neat inclusions. All in all, this book was a really fun read. Well-written and well-edited. Definitely pick this one up and give it a shot!

Rhonda Starnes has done it again! "Perilous Wilderness Escape" is a thrilling follow-up to her debut novel, "Rocky Mountain Revenge", with just the right blend of action, adventure, mystery and love story. Katherine is the strong female character we all want to be when we grow up, and the evolution of her relationship with Randy is a journey of trust and faith. Not even amnesia can stop these partners from cracking the case and finding that love can grow when and where you least expect it.

A great FBI suspense book. When agent Randy Ingalls is ambushed and loses his memory he believes Katherine is not only his partner but his wife. As he gains his memory and they flee from the drug cartel he eventually realizes she is not his wife. Can they figure out how to bring down the cartel before they are killed and figure out their romantic feelings for each other. A well written suspense that pulls you in from the beginning.

Perilous Wilderness Escape by Rhonda Starnes has you hooked from the first chapter and keeps it going on all throughout the book. Never a dull moment! A lot of suspenseful, thrilling, and surprises events in the book. FBI agent Katherine Lewis is partnered with FBI agent Randy Ingalls. They are after a drug-cartel which seems to be 1 step ahead of them. Randy suffers from Amnesia, which worries Katherine if he is up to the task at hand. This is a great book. I received an ARC copy to give an honest review. This book I highly recommend!

Perilous Wilderness Escape begins with a resounding crash, and the pace doesn’t let up until the satisfying end. In between, Randy’s amnesia results in an intriguing problem: he only remembers the cover story where he and Katherine are married under different names.
Twists and turns keep the story moving at a quick pace. At times I had to take a quick break to catch my breath! Tension continues to build and reaches a crescendo in a climactic scene guaranteed to create heartbreak.
I thoroughly enjoyed Perilous Wilderness Escape and award it five stars. If you enjoy fast-paced romantic suspense, you will love this book. Recommended.

TOTALLY captivating from the very first paragraph. Has a great storyline. This book is full of surprises, suspense, mystery and a surprised ending. I was not able to guess the ending that is something that I really liked. This is a must read!

Car doors slammed. An engine roared to life. Headlights flashed on, blinding him. He flinched and lifted his hand to shield his eyes. There was no time to react before the impact of the vehicle jarred him. The gun flew from his hand and sailed across the dashboard, landing on the passenger side floorboard. Without the seat belt to hold him in place, Randy’s shoulder slammed against the steering wheel. Then his body rebounded and his head smashed against the side window. Pain shot from his temple and exploded behind his eyes.

Accidents, amnesia, attempted murder and more may being to shatter your confidence that this will end well. Add a mole in the FBI, and you will wonder who they can finally trust.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Perilous Wilderness Escape. Rhonda's a fairly new LIS author. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one she writes. This story is well-written, action-packed, and full of drama. I know you will love it.

FBI Agent Randy Ingalls lost his partner to a car accident. Now he's undercover with a new partner. He is hot on the trail of a drug cartel. He calls his partner but she doesn't answer, so he leaves a message. then he is pushed off the edge of the mountain. He landed on a ledge before the car landed in a huge ball of fire at the bottom of the ravine. He could hear men talking. He managed to climb up the mountain. Help arrived but pain exploded in his head. He came to with no memory of what had happened to him.

FBI Agent Katherine Lewis had run when she received Randy's voice message. She stayed at the safe house until she knew something had gone terribly wrong. She heard the news of the car crash and began looking for him. She found him in the hospital with a case of amnesia. What had happened to him?

A horrific journey to stay one step ahead of whoever is after them. God has a plan for these two broken souls a good plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A good plan for peace and not for destruction even in this time of chaos. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.
