Prepare to go on a fictional manhunt! Follow the clues...and the danger...that will lead to the capture of an escaped prisoner. A serial killer, no less! This gripping romantic suspense is a little different from the norm, since we know who the bad guy hunting Morganne is. And I love that the plot quickly flips to Morganne and US deputy marshal Colt Nelson becoming the hunters. There's chaos and carnage and enough near misses to use up all of a feline's nine lives! The reluctant romance between two people determined to focus on career, not family adds an extra dimension to the already plentiful tension. A spectacular conclusion to the Justice Seekers Thriller series. (This is the sixth book, but reads very well as a standalone...though Justice Seekers fan will enjoy a few cameos.)

Laura always writes fun mysteries, and this one was no different. This was a quick, easy read with lots of excitement pursuing the escaped criminal that Morganne and Colt are after. Good read.

Hard to put down !

Plenty of suspense, excitement , intrigue, mystery, romance, humor, friendship (tying in main characters from previous books in the series ) and the talented and enjoyable way with words Author Laura Scott t gives us a story (for that matter, a series of well written stories sprinkled with glimpses into the lives of the main characters since the first of six books.) I am a 71 year old homebound disabled woman and I am deeply grateful for the hours spent helping to pleasantly pass the time with Ms. Scott and her wonderful imagination. This book drops you off in the middle of an intriguing, mystery suspense and doesn't let up. So you won't regret picking this one up. I took one point off for nitpicky reasons: not fully connecting with the heroine, feeling like the feminism themes were forced, and the light romance. The romance in this book takes a backseat to the mystery and tracking this killer. But where this book shines is in the small details: small town cops that are overworked, the hero needing to eat after the chaos is over (like hey I'm not a robot), and the teamwork (mutual minds playing off each other). I certainly enjoyed this one. But I wouldn't read this expecting much from the romance.

I can't imagine serving an attack by serial killer let alone when the killer is your cousin. Now 5 years later, Morgan's Kimball is a police officer wanting to help others and she has become her cousin's number 1 target! She refuses to be his next victim when he escapes prison and wants to bring him to justice again. He's out for her blood and revenge. She must team up with US deputy marshal, Colt Nelson, who is determined to catch the fugitive before he strikes again. This book was full of lots of twists and turns. Great read, couldn't put it down! Well done Laura!

A satisfying conclusion to this series. Enjoyed watching Morganne reclaiming her faith and learning how to use on her instincts to get the job done. Cole was a strong man who let his faith carry him through difficult times and helped lead him to where he needed to be. Loved seeing characters from previous stories in this series willing to lend a helping hand.

This story is different in that we know who the bad guy is from the start. Morganne and Colt are the ones chasing after and hunting the bad guy who's a
serial killer to bring him to justice. This is a fast paced, action packed story. It was great having Slade and Tanner showing up and lending assistance in Fugitive Hunt.

I enjoyed this romantic suspense story. I bought this at a local store and I voluntarily chose to review this novel. I've given it a 4* rating. I found this a little hard to get into, but it was better as it went along. This survivor of a past attack, has found her attacker has escaped from prison. It expands from there.. Parts of it are more exciting than others but has a great ending.

Police officer Morgaanne Kimball helped get her serial killer cousin convicted. Now he has escaped and he is killing again, all while trying to make sure he kills Morganne. She teams up with US Marshall Colt Nelson to try to find her cousin, Blaine. Can Colt keep Morganne safe?

I gotta love a heroine who can kick some rear end and isn't afraid to tell a guy he needs to respect her abilities. The plot is deliciously convoluted and a little unrealistic, but flows smoothly. As usual, there is a religious aspect to the characters, but it is well done and in keeping with the characters. I was sorry to see this series end.

y first book by this author. I discovered this was book 6 in a series but it didn't prevent me from easily reading the story. I enjoyed the action - once it got going. It had a bit of a slow start, but then it really picked up its pace. And had a really great ending.
