Time travel is well and good in fiction but real life? Raine’s not so sure but here they sit, in the 1960s. She’s unsure how to get back to their own time. A murder has been committed but by who and why? The more Raine investigates, the more danger she’s in. Can the three sisters solve the murder and get back to their own time before Raine becomes the skeleton they initially found?

Timeless Secrets is a riveting time travel suspense from start to finish. I’m a huge fan of time travel books and this one is the best one I’ve read. Not only are the three sisters delightful characters but they respond to their circumstances honestly, as you or I would. Raine is the lead heroine in this story, and she is such an endearing character. I connected with her right away. Her love of history and antiques are her motivators, along with her love for her sisters. The descriptive narration is intricate and filled with emotion. Casi McLean is a genius when it comes to writing suspenseful stories and grabs the reader by the collar and doesn’t let go until the very end. I admit I stayed up late one night just to see how it ends. Timeless Secrets is equal parts time travel, mystery, suspense, and sister fiction. This is book one in a new series by Casi McLean and I can’t wait to read the upcoming installments. If you love time travel fiction, you’ll want to read Timeless Secrets. If you’re a mystery reader, you’ll be captivated by Timeless Secrets. Brilliant from start to finish, Timeless Secrets is a bestseller in the making. Highly recommend!

Sisters Raine, Meadow, and Summer wonder about the oddity of the piece. When buttons are pushed the girls are transported back to a time they recognize, but work hard to understand.
They meet a woman who shares the story.of the watch, and and a love story that spans decades.
During a travel time, the sisters find more they than bargained for.
This book has twists and.turns this reader never saw coming.
I cannot recommend this book high enough. Intrigue,tine travel, rescue, this read has it all.

I knew from page one of Casi McLean’s new release I was in for a wild ride, one as fun and turbulent as the journey the Holloway sisters were embarking on. Ms. McLean’s vivid prose and clever talent for inventing fantasy, provoking mystery throughout, and awesome storytelling are as good as it gets in this tale. I found myself so engrossed with the what-ifs, the crisp, humorous dialogue, and the total premise of Timeless Secrets I read the book in just one sitting.

Casi McLean never fails to bring it on in such enchanting ways, and her ability as an author for putting the reader smack in the middle of the action (and believe me, there’s plenty to be had here), puts her at the top of my to-read list every single time she releases a new title.

Timeless Secrets has all the components of a number one bestseller – fantasy, time-traveling, mystery – as well as including the complexities of the human condition and the story will delight the reader in every way.

I’ve read several other of her fantastic stories, but this is the best one yet. Bravo, Ms. McLean, for this riveting page-turner. Five golden stars were awarded – I wish it could be ten.

Combining fine, descriptive prose with a page turning story, this sci-fi fantasy/time-travel book opens up in 1865, with an instant dilemma. It seems a truly unique Timepiece, a chronometer, has been lost, perhaps when someone yanked off his own shirt to wrap around another man’s wounds....

As if that didn’t draw me in fast enough, it quickly becomes clear that without this timepiece the person can’t get back to his own life. Further stoking the time-traveler’s fears: If the wrong person in the future finds the watch and discovers its power, could he or she create a future catastrophe?

We then jump forward to modern times, with three very appealing and smart sisters: Raine, Summer, and Meadow, scoping out antique Civil War relics and timeless treasures in North Georgia. They come across a barn, where a strange bluish light glows, pulsating beneath the hay. Lifting up the very same cherished “wrist-watch,” Raine absently slips it into her pocket and forgets about it. But when Meadow examines the watch, she sees the different time coordinates on it – both modern on one side, the past on the other. Fooling with the watch, it sends a burst of blue all around them and they are instantly transported to a cave on a deserted isle––during the 1960s. Where they discover a woman’s dead body. Did supernatural forces draw the girls to this place to help solve the crime? With the police appearing (and a potential romance), and plot twists swirling, the sisters become a crack detective team and are sent/or send themselves back and forth through time to find answers. Extremely well written, I believe this is perfect for fans of techno sci-fi, history, and mystery. Wait. Scratch that. This is great for any reader. Highly recommended!

The book opens back in 1865 when York realizes he lost his chronometer—a family secret hat was entrusted to him—perhaps when he carried his wounded friend to the cabin. The chronometer allows the family to retrieve the time traveler; without it, he would be lost. “What if someone in the future finds the watch and discovers its power?”

This ‘What if’ is the premise of Timeless Secrets. By accident, Raine Holloway finds the remains of a bony hand, possibly belonging to a murder victim, and an antique watch. Despite her doubting the idea of time travel, she finds that it spins her and her sisters, Summer and Meadow, through time. Finding themselves back in the sixties, they meet Sandy, a mysterious woman who claimed to be the inventor of the device.

From her, the three sisters gather clues about its power and learn that a change in time carries with it the risk of changing the course of history—which complicates their murder investigation. Will they be able to solve it—maybe even save the victim?—then transport themselves to the present without compromising their own history?

Five stars.

A cave filled with gold bars, a mystery that dates back to the Civil War . . . can the Three Sisters uncover all the secrets and right the wrongs without changing the course of history?

McLean draws characters who are engaging and extremely likable. Weaving around them threads that reach far into the past as well as peeking into the present, she fully invests us in her tale, and keeps us wondering "what if?".

A truly enjoyable read that I didn't ut down till it was - sadly - done. But at least we know there's a Book Two!

This is a really fun and interesting read. It is impossible to put down once you start reading it. The premise is fascinating because it has endless possibilities and is open to all manor of alternative histories. I love the way it ties into other books by the author while still being original.
The plot has you hooked from the start and there are lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing. I love the characters and the sisterly relationships they have. I am also looking forward to reading more of their adventures in time and getting to know them more through the books as well.
Overall this is a great start to a series and the perfect mystery to keep readers entertained.

Awesome time travel adventure.
his author has done it again with another compelling journey that is full of action. The story pulls you in from the start and leaves you wanting more adventures of the three sisters with their antique chronometer that takes them traveling through time. Background information and the descriptions of the places and events is so detailed and realistic that it enhances the book. Can't wait for more from this author and especially about the three sisters.

I have always been fascinated with stories about time travel. Why I have no idea. But finding this tale from Author Casi McLean made me feel like I hit the jackpot.

This is a fun account of three sisters who find a chronometer on one of their antique hunting jaunts. Fascinated with the device, they touch a button and suddenly are transported back to 1960. At first, in disbelief, they slowly come to the conclusion they have slipped back in time.

From there, the story revolves around an old murder, hidden gold, the ethics of changing the past, and the relationship of sisters, Raines, Summer, and Meadow Holloway.

Entertaining and thought-provoking are the two words I would associate with this fine piece of writing. This is my first encounter with USA Today Best-Selling Author, Casi McLean and I dare say, it won’t be my last. Ms. McLean’s writing style is concise with few wasted words and a pace to keep the reader glued to the pages.

Even if you do not care for stories of time travel, this is a solid mystery sure to please anyone who enjoys the genre. Highly recommended and a solid five stars.

WOW this was fantastic! This grabbed me from the very start with a story that takes us through time to solve a mystery! In this gripping and exciting fantasy read we follow three sisters as they try to unravel a murder mystery fully of suspense and had me literally on the edge of my seat the whole read! It’s a captivating read and I cannot wait to read more by this author.

Suspenseful Time Leaps
This is a captivating story that begins in the past when a time traveler from the future loses his special watch that allows him to spiral through time. Centuries later, Raine Holloway finds the watch when part of an old barn collapses while she’s hunting for antiques with her sisters, Meadow and Summer. Each sister possesses her own unique talents and abilities, making the threesome a phenomenal team.

Before the sisters even realize the power concealed in the watch, they’re whisked back in time and find a fortune that dates back to the Civil War in a cave. They also meet the inventor of the time travel gadget. The sisters are skeptical they’ve time traveled. To prove to them time travel exists, the inventor names a newly formed island the Three Sisters Island and deeds it to them. When they arrive home, they discover the deed was recorded over fifty years earlier.

The Holloway sisters run across a bony hand sticking out of the ground. Then they learn the bones belong to a young woman murdered in 1960. Since it’s a cold case, the police don’t dig into searching for the victim’s identity or her killer. The sisters step up and begin looking for answers. To find them, they travel back in time to the original crime scene. Will they succeed in tracking down the victim and her murderer?

This is an intriguing first book in Three Sisters Island Mysteries series. The author, Casi McLean, has skillfully woven heroes, villains, holograms, and period details into this exciting time travel novel. The plot is well orchestrated and the story is perfectly paced. The characters are richly developed with clever dialogue. I’m looking forward to reading more adventures of the Holloway sisters in future books in this series. I highly recommend “Timeless Secrets” to fans of time travel, mystery, fantasy, and everyone who enjoys an engaging read.

Book 1 of an innocent enjoyable time travel series. While it seems to target a young audience, it is great reading for all ages.

These three sisters are inseparable and on their own. Raine has an antique shop and fills it with timeless treasures she finds in a number of ways. Mostly the three of them look on the beach, in old caves, or as they go exploring.

This wonderful find is an antique watch-looking device that lights up and can be programmed and also can give them hologram images of happenings in the past. At the same time they find the watch they also find a shallow grave with bones.

Once they accidentally go back to 1960, they begin an adventure of unraveling the mystery of the bones, why the watch sent them back to this era, where the gold they find came from, etc.

Timeless Secrets, Raine is an adventurous, clean mystery. Fun and at times fast-moving. There are twists and turns you don’t expect as well.

What an indescribably enjoyable book! This book literally fell into my hands when I was checking my email. From there, I began reading and absolutely loved this well written and well edited story. My first book by this author, but this genre has been my favorite for years.

I won't go into much detail because there are some very compelling actions in this story that make me think WOW!
The storyline was awesome, going back to 1960 when I was just starting high school. The 3 sisters were an added treat and I loved their names, Raine, Meadow and Summer and the location is set in Georgia. Again a place I personally have never been, but the story behind 3 sister island was quite intriguing and pulled me in from the beginning. I didn't see anything that was coming and there were enough twists and turns to keep you riveted from page to page. I would highly recommend this book and this author. I look forward to reading more in this series.

I enjoyed going back to Lake Lanier in another time travel mystery by Casi McLean. In this one, the Holloway sisters-Raine, Meadow, and Summer-are searching for relics in the North Georgia foothills when they discover an odd watch and a skeletal hand. While examining the watch they transport themselves to Three Sisters Island in Lake Lanier in 1960. There they meet a woman who claims to have invented the chronometer and warns them not to change the course of history. This interesting mystery presents time travel in a very believable manner. There is no time machine or mystical portal but a rather scientific chronometer. It reminded me somewhat of the TV series Timeless where the characters prepared for their travel to make sure they had the proper clothing and money. Since the show the time Tunnel in the late 1960s I have been fascinated by the possibility of time travel. I love seeing history presented in this manner. I look forward to the next 2 books in this series. Thanks to the author for giving me a copy of the audiobook. Amanda Stribling did a good job with the narration and presented the sisters in a believable fashion.

I’ve read several of Casi McLean’s books and loved every one of them. She never fails to plop you right in the middle of the action. Her characters jump off the pages and drag you into the story, the scene descriptions make you see, feel, and smell the location through their eyes. I love that about her books.

Now the only questions are will Raine and her two sisters unravel the secret of an antique watch’s power, solve the murder, and find their way back home before time runs out? You’ll have to pick up a copy and find out! You’ll be so glad you did. Now me, I’m off to read the second book in the series which takes place in Salem. Can’t wait.

This read wasn’t for me—not bad, per se, but ‘good’ isn’t a word I’d use either. I was bored and had to force myself to pay attention, having tried 2 different formats (both audiobook and eBook). It just felt bland to me, never gripped me and didn’t hold any excitement.

A lot of words and time would pass by with no actual plot-progress. I’m ont sure if this would be better were someone with better writing skills to have a go—or whether it just really wasn’t for me/ isn’t an exciting plot but … at any rate, just too slow-paced for me.

“It’s okay” which equals 2 or 3 stars depending on the platform.

Took me about a year and a half to get through it.

The audio was decent with overall sound quality being professional and the narrator mostly doing a good job. 3.5 stars on this front.

"Timeless Secrets" Three Sisters Island Mysteries, Book 1 by Casi McLean, narrated by Amanda Stribling is an intriguing, cozy, time travel mystery adventure with well-developed characters, historical intrigue, and an engaging plot.

Raine, Summer, and Meadow Holloway start the story searching for antiques in the North Georgia foothills which leads them to finding a mystery to be solved and a watch that would slip the sisters through
time to solve their mystery.

What I enjoyed the most about the story was how the sisters dialog played off of each other and how the sisters gained confidence in their abilities as investigators. I am looking forward to reading the next book, and already have it cued up for my next book to listen to in audible...

Audiobook: I enjoyed book one of the "Three Sisters Island Mysteries". Raine found an antique watch which opened up a portal through time. After Raine and her sisters stumbled over the hand of a skeleton, the three decided to use the watch to figure out what had happened to the hand's owner. I liked the three sisters and their interactions. There were some humorous moments as the contemporary women navigated the times of the past. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Amanda Stribling's narration was fine, and her performance kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Raine: Timeless Secrets Book 1 by Casi McLean. I have read several time travel books, but, I felt that this was unique. Georgia 1865, York lost the time travel watch, A chronometer. Fast forward to present day, Raine, her sisters, Summer and Meadow, are horseback riding in Georgia. Through fate, Raine finds the chrome meter and takes it home. This begins the adventure into the future. Changing the past will change the future. This is a fun and wildly exciting adventure. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.

I have not read many "time shifting" books and thought this one was a pretty good introduction to a newish genre for me and a new series for the author. Written in a very easy manner, the story is one you can just sink into and enjoy. I am curious as to where this series will go and what the 3 sisters will get into. I have a feeling it's going to be very interesting and entertaining. Looking forward to more.

This book was so much fun to read, it takes place in the same world as Casi's other Lake Lanier stories but don't worry you don't have to have read them to enjoy this book. The storyline is original, flows well and is well written. I just loved the characters who were all well-drawn, I especially liked the sisters and how they behaved with each other their love for each other was plain to dee and made them strong, something they needed to be when they accidentally travelled back in time.

Another enjoyable and original read by a very talented author.

I really enjoyed reading about Raine, Meadow, and Summer Holloway. I was so intrigued with the time travel element in this story. They find a chronometer that takes them into the past. Of course as they take trips to the past they have to figure out what they are there to fix. Their first trip ends up with them finding a great treasure that they can use to keep their time travel financed. I loved how their next trip kept you guessing about how it will end. I very much look forward to the next installment in this series

i absolutely loved this book! if you enjoy, time travel, mysteries, a bit of romance. with characters that are fun, real, and relatable! this story had a great plot, kept me turning the page as quick as i could! the narrator was quite good, which made the story even better! the world building was done very well, and sets up the next book perfectly! i cannot wait to read the second book in Three sister’s Island time travel romantic mystery that the author set up!

A skeleton hand, oh my!

A great, fun beginning to the Three Sisters Island Mysteries, this is book 1, Timeless Secrets. This novel and audio combo is my first time to experience the work of Casi McLean and I thoroughly enjoyed the time slip. By the look of the number of books in her writing career, I may be reading and listening for quite some time. Isn't it always the way... the ladies have to convince a man or men that they are right when we know we are right. You go sisters! On to book 2 now.

This book was absolutely fun to read on all levels. And it takes place in the same world as her other Lake Lanier books. This book was integrated seamlessly into said world. I loved the three sisters! They were loyal to each other, teased each other, bickered with each other...everything sisters do with each other. It was extremely authentic. And the story was fast paced and difficult to put down. Author McLean has crafted a family drama with a twist of magic and its delightful to read.

My first foray into this genre and most enjoyable. I loved the three sisters characters and Casi’s attention to detail. And her descriptions wow. A great start to what I know will be a great series. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I liked the depth of relationship between the three Holloway sisters - Raine, Summer and Meadow. But I found myself wishing for some tension in their interactions with each other. At times, they all seem too good to be true. The author does a great job of explaining time travel. There are hidden branches in this story that I can’t wait to discover, hopefully in future books? Solid 5 stars from me.

Timeless Secrets introduces us to three sisters Raine, Meadow and Summer, each is unique in her own way but together they are an amazing trio. The sisters are searching for items in the North Georgia mountains to sell in Raine's antique shop when they discover a chromometer leading them to an amazing, suspenseful adventure. Their captivating quest playing out during the excitement of the 1960 election is a definite page turner. I highly recommend this enjoyable story and look forward to the sister's next adventure.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s well written and informative. As someone with 5 sisters I loved the sisterhood in this book, and appreciate that they are stronger together (as we all are). The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because, as someone with 5 sisters, their sibling relationships aren’t realistic. I will definitely be waiting to see if we get more of the Holloway sisters; I hope we do!
