In Spring 1965 the Anthroposophical Society in America began publishing the Journal for Anthroposophy under the editorship of Henry Barnes. Many valuable articles, poems, and visual artwork appeared in the Journal over the next forty years. Since 2006 the Journal has been gathering up and reorganizing some of this material thematically, as "Classics from the Journal for Anthroposophy." Series editor is Robert McDermott, PhD, a nationally known scholar in the field of philosophy, anthroposophy, and consciousness studies. Each issue has a significant new introductory essay written by its editor, someone with special interest and expertise in the volume's subject area.
