This is dark excellence. Ideas of great thinkers and storytellers are distilled into a deceptively simple beginning and exposition that develops into very creepy truths that are also oddly uplifting. You feel less isolated in your adult hell after reading Rose. Bravo Paul Town.

a disturbing novel, I quite enjoyed it as I am a somewhat twisted individual who enjoys dark musings of this sort from time to time but do not read it if you are squeamish or easily disturbed

A disturbing novel

Works as a straightforward horror novel and accomplishes something more profound as well. Thoughtful , disturbing, funny and succinct Rose is on my very short list of best books of 2024.
