A very good and funny book

My 6 yr old grandson thinks this book is very funny. He liked the story. His favorite part is when Lindy gets to use her imagination to paint the wall.

Because We our trapped in reign want to give you less

The sun in the weave bursts out tears of sadness that reflects the tears of perpetrate of yesterday that melts in gratefulness to a level of sad but irritable in burstable rage of abuse that reflects the sadness of of tears from years of practically servitude of so much unconditional love and kindness when there barely was even a dime on the trees but for you the tears and love kept coming and even after giving you kept taking and neve once did you ever return even any raindrops of kindness back to me when all I’ve ever did was try to love you and still you wouldn’t stop grinding the my tears as if my heart and if I was not even you mother but just a substitute. No amount of heart ache can ever express how deeply disturbed and disappointed I am in you and no amount of making up can I eve forget all the abuse you w done to me when all I ever did was always give to you and take care of you your entire life. No amount of making up can you eve do to allow me to eve forgive you bc even stilling is you inside me stealing my tears. Shame on you. For I’m just living my life and for a million times I can not claim any other life but just the life that I know- so the amount you have wronged my innocents in sickening bc I’m not even her. You are worse than her, for I am not her and I will never be her. For my creator will protect me from you very soon and bring back my daughters soul instead of you wronging and taking over everyone’s existence. You are dead to me and your soul needs to exit my baby’s vessel immediately. In Jesus Christ name amen.

A Unicorn Ate My Homework
(children's book, fiction, fantasy, school, imagination, BIPOC)

A Unicorn Ate My Homework by Julia Inserro is a cute book about a girl with a vivid imagination. Whenever a mishap happens in her classroom, Lindy Loom always has a fantastical story to tell. For example... when someone's pencil goes missing... Lindy Loom tells the teacher that a porcupine lost its quills, felt self-conscious about it, took the pencils, and taped them to its body. Pure silliness!

If you are an elementary school teaching A Unicorn Ate My Homework would be good for your language arts lessons about reality vs. fantasy.

Best for early elementary. Whole group, small group, independent reading.

Linda's Imagination Is Fun

Another absolutely exciting Lindy book. The storyline is engaging and the illustrations are vivid and sharp. I highly recommend this and every book written by Julia Inserro. They are long enough to keep your child engaged and exciting enough for them to ask you to read/listen to the book.
Lindy likes to tell stories. Her teacher doesn't appreciate her wonderful imagination. She tells stories to her friends. She tells stories in class and she tells stories all the time. Her teacher was wondering what happened to her apple on her desk. Lindy suggested that a giraffes came in the window and ate it. If you enjoyed this Lindy story, there are many more to come by reading\listening to this great book. Yipee!!

Lindy Loom has a fantastic imagination which helps her create fantastic stories. She tells tales of planet Snork. When things go missing in her classroom she always has a funny tale about who or what took the item. Her teacher begins to get frustrated but then decides to play along. When Lindy suggests that snakes ate all the pickles in the cafeteria, her teacher reminds her that snakes don't like pickles. It's only when Lindy forgot to bring her homework that she admits that she simply forgot, no story. But then the teacher suggests that a unicorn may of eaten her homework. Together teacher and Lindy use both their imaginations to improve the school.

Adorable and Fun

My kids and I loved this!! Totally thought this book would be centered around a Unicorn but it was really about the power and the importance of using your imagination. Sometimes having an active imagination could be annoying to others but the book teaches that it’s also a gift and whether big or small we should all use our imaginations to create new ideas or simply to make someone smile. Totally recommended for your home or school library .

This book was a super cute book about a very imaginative girl who gets called out in class for being too imaginative. I did not enjoy this book very much for this reason. I learned some new facts from the book, but I didn’t like that the teacher was so rude to the student simply for being a child. The teacher does change her ways in the end which is nice, but I still won’t be keeping the book in my collection because I don’t think it's right to criticize a child's imagination.

Too Much Imagination?

Can a little girl have too much imagination? That’s what Ms. Pinch seems to think. This adorable book takes a look into the mind of one very fantastical young woman. I don’t always notice this sort of thing in picture books, but I thought the way the text is used is very creative.

The power of imagination

Lindy Loom has a fantastical imagination that goes unappreciated by her teacher, Mrs Pinch. Undeterred, Lindy’s lovable stories win over Mrs Pinch who rediscovers the fun of her own imagination. A great story!

Funny imaginative!

The book is about a funny and very imaginative girl named Lindy and her teacher Ms. Pinch. How the teacher evolved by the end of the book is beautifully written. Lovely book! 😊

Teachers are therapist

At first I didn't care for the teacher. But the more I read, the more I understood. This book would be great in a guidance counselor office or even an easy read for primary students. I would recommend

A lovely story about the importance of imagination, and of not losing your imagination as you grow up.

The illustrations were very clever, with cartoon-like images to show 'real life', and what looks like a child's drawing to show what's happening in the main character's imagination.

Imagination!

Great children's book that encourages children to use their imagination. It also shows how the main character gradually influences her teacher to use her imagination.

A girl with a hyperactive imagination – nicely conveyed by the conventional, rounded, quality illustrations breaking out into scratchy, childish pencil-work – finally gets to put it to good use in this short tale. The problem is, the teacher who was normally so exasperated at it all suddenly has a change of heart, but the way the text pays so little attention to that makes it all feel rather flat and inconsequential.
