My name is Emersyn Sharpe. Until a few months ago, I was the lead performer for a traveling show finishing up a contract. I had been beaten, but never broken.
Then they took me.
I didn't belong in their world.
Still, they took me and I didn't know why. They promised to protect me and to keep me safe, but they had to know I'd run. They had to know.
Now my world and theirs might be on a collision course and as much as I didn't belong in their world, I didn't want mine to rain down on them.
Not on Jasper, the dictatorial jerk who kissed like he wanted to own me. Not on Rome, the tortured artist who protected me. Not on Kestrel, the liar with the soulful eyes and dedicated heart. Not on Liam, the bastard who loved his brother. Not on Vaughn, the beautiful man with the beautiful voice who made me want everything I shouldn't. Not on Doc, the gifted physician who'd kept his promises to me.
I ran.
But I didn't get far and now...now I don't know what will happen next. VICIOUS REBEL is a full length mature college/new adult romance with enemies-to-lovers/love-hate themes. The dark romance aspects of this tale darken with this book. Please be aware some situations may be uncomfortable for readers. This is a reverse harem novel, meaning the main character has more than one love interest. This is book two in the series.

I love books. Not just a little bit, but a lot. Books were my best friends when I was growing up. Books didn’t care if I was new to a town or to a class. They were always there, my trustiest of companions. Until they turned on me and said I had to write them.

I can tell you that my own personal happily ever after included writing books. I’ve always said that an HEA is a work in progress. It’s true in my marriage, my friendships, and in my career. I am constantly nurturing my muse as we dive into new tales, new tropes, new characters and more.

After seventeen years back in Texas, we relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of seasons, new experiences, and new geography. I can’t wait to discover what life (and my muse) have in store for me.

Maybe writing was always my destiny and romance my fate. After all, my grandmother wasn’t a fan of picture books and used to read me her Harlequin Romance novels.

Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends to enemies to lovers, you name it, I love them and love to write them. I started with Earth Witches Aren’t Easy, the first in the Chance Monroe trilogy, but my characters and I have traveled a long way since I created that urban fantasy world.

One of the series I hear my readers recommend the most is the Untouchable series followed in quick succession by the Vandals, and that just delights me. No lie, whenever one of my readers brings up my wolves, I do a little a fist pump.

I’m active on social media, and I love hearing from readers. Feel free to tag me with a question about any of my books, or just say hi!

82 Street Vandals is one of those series that just pulls you in the moment you hit play. Forget food, forget sleep, the only thing you will want to do is keep listening.

“For the first time, I have a chance to be free and none of you are taking that from me. None of you. I’ll die before I go back in shackles or a cage.”

Emersyn Sharpe has been through hell and back twice over. Not even being kidnapped has burned out the fire that runs through her veins. Escaping was her only plan but that now that she has, Emersyn doesn't know what to do or where to go. Before too long she realizes that the men that kidnapped her might be the lesser of the evils she could face if she were to be spotted.

In the first book I was constantly rooting for one of the Vandals over the other but as I got deeper into this book, I realized it isn't a competition. Jasper, Vaughn, Kestrel, Liam, and Rome are brothers, and they would never turn their back on that. All these men are falling for Emersyn and while that might be something that could tear them apart, they are all on the side of keeping her safe.

Then Doc, sweet Doc. Gah, I adore him! There is history between Doc and the Vandals that we just don't know yet but even he brings his own skillset to the table in keeping Emersyn safe.

Do yourself a favor, listen to the Audiobook! Brooke Daniels is incredibly sexy as Emersyn and the way she is able to show her emotions throughout all the feelings she goes through is incredible. Then Noel Harrison never disappoints with those growls, by the gods it is so delicious! I've never listened to Toby Scott until this series, but I do hope to hear more from him in the future because damn he is on point. Lastly, Adam Gold; from what I could tell he didn't have as many parts in this book, but I am hoping he will in the next book because his voice is just crisp and delightful. Seriously, this whole cast is incredible!!

I don't want to say much more on the story because I don't want to give anything away. There is so much that happens from book one Savage Vandal through to book two Vicious Rebel that it will leave your mind spinning and your body overheated. I might have to dive right into book three after that ending because, didn't see that coming!!

I just need to get one thing off of my chest! I LOVE ROME and this series! This book blew me away. Each and every characters is so dark and delicious. The intrigue in knowing there is so much more going on and there is so much history between the characters that you know you will learn in each book, really draws me in. The author is so good at hinting and teasing us with things to come that you can only guess at. Then she blows your mind with the revelations. I know I am salivating for more Vandals (ie ROME AND LIAM). I can’t wait to see what happens next!.

WHAT THE HECK! WHAT THE HECKKKKKK!! That ending gahhhhh.
In Book 2 of the series, we go more in-depth into the characters' histories.
I adored the men's caring side and how they treat Emersyn is lovely.
I loved watching Emersyns character develop and her come more into herself.
Plenty of drama and action that was written brilliantly.
great plot and great characters. #teamfreddie
I'm going to un-impatiently wait for book 3 now.

BASIC FACTS:
Pages: 440
My rating: 4
Genre: RH, contemporary, Gang
Themes: Dance, Abuse, Gangs/crime
Protagonist Ages: Emersyn is 18, her brother is 25. The ages of the other guys is not mentioned. Doc is much older than Emersyn and the guys
Pacing: good pacing for this story, slow burn
Plot Rating: 3.5

I liked the first book of the series, Savage Vandal and when I finished it I went and got the second book. They are on Ku, which is nice.

I am hooked on the series. It has the right amount of Drama, conflict a nice pacing and even the smutty scenes are not too much. But at no point did I have the feeling that the story/plot was forgotten. And after I finished the second book I went to get the third. I kind of binge the series!

The Characters: Names and descriptions of the persons

Summery: detailed, lot’s of spoiler

Another fantastic book by this author. This is book 2 in the 82 street vandals series. It’s a revers harem, and I loved the way we got to meet more of the characters personalities in this book.

𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙡𝙮… 𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙛𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙖 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙥 𝙤𝙛 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝.

We get to see the guys story’s and how they met as kids and grew up together, and how they became the person they are today. It’s true what they say, family isn’t always blood. These guys are like brothers to each other and have each other’s back. I loved the way the flash back where placed through out the story as well.

I loved how we see each vandal with Emersyn and how she falls more for each of them. There is a vandal for everyone’s taste, so you won’t be disappointed. I love them all though.

Can’t wait for the next book after that ending.

Emersyn and the mysterious Vandals are back- and brace yourself, because the plot thickens. Our story begins with a life-changing decision and ends with a life-changing revelation, and I can’t get enough of this unique and consuming world.

I continue to marvel at how Heather’s narrative approach is both equal parts immersive and disorienting. Book 1 was brilliantly evasive- it was about building that provocative mystery. Investing us in characters and story without us understanding just who they are and what the story really is- and our characters aren’t all entirely in the loop either. Our heroine Emersyn found herself tangled in a web she didn’t know existed- with men she’s drawn to but can’t trust for a whole host of reasons, only one of which is that they have been deceptively part of her life for years. Little did they know, that Emersyn brought along her OWN tangled web- and the result is a deliciously perplexing tangle of secrets, deception, pain, and motives. Book 2 still has an alluring literary opacity, but Heather is slowly untangle the big knotted web of mystery. And SO brilliantly, she focuses on characters first. We don’t know the bigger game afoot, but Vicious Rebel is about starting to show us just WHAT made these vandals, and Emersyn, who they are. Interspersed in our narrative we get brief vignettes about our characters’ pasts- the small but impactful moments that have shaped the present day closed-off and mystery men and woman we see. And their truths are both powerful and devastating.

Yet again, Heather takes a clever narrative approach to immerse us in the spirit of the story. Small, intimate and emotional moments in the present between Emersyn and her men help us continue to understand and deepen her chemistry and connection with each of the men individually. While Book 1 gave us a few sparks, Heather keeps the present day action minimal, internal, and quiet- so that emotional intimacy takes center stage. Emersyn is in different stages with each of the guys- some not yet even romantically, but the true focus is TRUST and emotional intimacy. Her learning to trust her instincts, her learning to trust in these men, to rely on them, and to open up to them. Juxtaposed to the quiet moments of domestic bonding in the present, we’re also jolted by brief but impactful vignettes about our characters' past- revelations that give meaning to the identities and baggage we’ve discovered in the present. We quickly learn that the Vandals and Emersyn all share one key aspect of their identity- they’ve lived through trauma. Trauma that has shaped them, trauma that is still permeating the very air they breathe, the invisible weight most are bearing in silence and repression. A repression that is challenged by their budding need and desire for Emersyn- as everyone soon discovers to GET trust you have to give it.

Word by word, moment by moment, Heather constructs relationship dynamics that are substantial, unique, and restorative- and while I certainly still have my favorite (team Kellan), I can’t help but marvel at how each man and Emersyn herself are starting to unfold so dynamically. Each relationship has its purpose, has depth, and has its own journey. We have very little other action, because Heather make a strategic investment in exposing the TRUE characters, not just the calculated facades and half truths we saw of them in book 1. And the approach more than pays off- strangers suddenly feel like family, and Emersyn somehow feels like the missing piece of a puzzle I didn’t even realize Heather was assembling. Truly brilliant story-telling.

This story is just so novel- the characters are captivating, the secrets and suspense addictive, and the puzzle just keeps getting more complex. Emersyn is one of the most compelling and unique heroine’s I’ve read- and not just because of her cool AF job. What makes her so compelling is her perfectly married contrasts- she’s a heroine deeply broken and fragile but also unbreakable and strong, a heroine closed off and stoic while also being so openly emotionally vulnerable, a heroine that seems young and naive while also being wise and worldly. There is no greater mystery to this story than our heroine herself- with every passing page we find a new layer, and her journey of finding her own power and her healing is what I love most about this story. She’s been literally, but also proverbially, tangled and restrained, and every decision she makes is one less metaphorical silk binding her, one more step to being free of her invisible cage. I just love her.

Heather is a mastermind- leaving clues and riddles for us to try to decode. Emersyn finds some much earned and much needed equilibrium in this story- TRUST that she’s never had before….only Heather’s jaw dropping revelation is going to shake the very foundations just created. I did NOT see that coming- and I am desperate to know what this means for Emersyn and her guys, the Vandals connection to her past, and what secrets have yet to be exposed. Definitely loving this series-truly nothing like it out there!

Honestly, I'm still not sure what to think.... Am I just hooked on the story and discovering the secrets? Will these characters actually ever divulge anything? Are the relationships going to be built on something or just live in the moment?

I feel confused and I don't have much connections with any of the main characters, which I think is the main thing keeping me from enjoying it more. It's kind of refreshing to have the guys all instantly protective and attached but it's confusing AF to not know why they are like that or why they seem to know so much but so little at the same time. I enjoy mystery and intrigue and twists, but there's something about this pacing or delivery that's not landing for me.

And the relationship build feels like it goes from zero to sixty - - Same for the burn speed, no simmering build up, just as soon as the FMC feels safe and comfortable with one of the guys she's attracted to, it's on... But I feel none of the heat because of the lack of build up or connections. 🤷

I did enjoy getting more back story on the characters and how key moments from their pasts are woven in. It added to my interest but didn't do much to add connections for me and I still feel adrift.

Vicious Rebel is an enthralling follow up to Savage Vandal, giving us a ton more questions as we dive deeper into the backstories of Emersyn and the guys.

I absolutely loved how we got to explore Emersyn’s past and learn how the guys met and grew up together. Heather’s writing was once again brilliant, setting the perfect pace as we wove back and forth between past and present. Through brief glances from different POVs, we gain some much needed insight into the shaping of these characters and their relationships with each other.

Vicious Rebel spans several more weeks at the clubhouse where Emersyn begins to grow closer with the Vandals. She still doesn’t have all the answers but despite that, has learned to completely trust these men who have proven they will do anything to keep Emersyn safe. VR definitely turns up the heat and the chemistry between E and the guys is off the charts.

VR ends in a doozy of a cliffhanger that I’m hoping will lead to some answers in the next book. I’m in love with this series and can’t wait for more from Emersyn and her Vandals!

I have been a fan of Heather Long’s since I stumbled across her Untouchable series so when she announced a new series, I immediately wanted to read it. So I did lol

Vicious Rebel book 2 in Heather Long’s 82nd Street Vandals series picks right up where book 1 left off.

Emersyn and The Vandals are getting closer and the chemistry between them is off the charts hot 🥵

Jasper, Kellan, Rome(yes please 🤤) Vaughn(yes please again 🤤) Liam(I’ll take him too) and Freddie all want Emersyn.

While Jasper, Kellan, Rome and Vaughn are determined to get her, the rest of the Vandals are slower on the uptake.

Then you have Doc, who may or may not be a Vandal. I still have some questions here.

We’re learning more but there’s still so many unanswered questions. We do find out who Raptor is but then we get YEETED off a cliff. I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

I definitely recommend this series!

Emersyn went back. Can you call yourself kidnapped if you escape and go back? It was her choice; she's not caged. She believes they took her to keep her safe. But why? Why do they care? Emersyn may have no idea why they want her but she is safer with them than her family. For the first time ever, she isn't covered with bruises, she can eat what she pleases, and she has remembered how to laugh. She's enjoyed some of the best days of her life. Maybe she can find life outside of flying. Maybe they never meant to cage her; maybe they actually set her free. But she still needs to understand why.

Traumas and triggers, damage and destructiveness, fears and fixation. Piece by piece the guys' histories and secrets are coming to light. I loved the flashback scenes as heartbreaking as they all were. My heart hurt for the little boys who lost the innocence of childhood way too young. Is it any wonder they were drawn to Emersyn and she feels safe with them? She was the missing piece of their puzzle. Emersyn is an unusual character. So talented, so privileged, yet so stunted. Admired yet neglected. Delicate yet fierce. She is opposites embodied. Flying was her freedom, her rebellion. Now it will be interesting to watch her discover who she is outside of her artistry. Who is she? What does she want? What does normal look like? Can she find it in this world of violence and danger?

This book was full of revelations, action, grand gestures, and steamy scenes but it was the human moments that captured my heart. A moment of vulnerability from a shared confession, a man going against his nature to try, the sharing of a beloved treasure. These are the moments proving the strength and love these men still have. The beauty within their darkness. The bond of brothers and now extending to their little dancer.

Vicious Rebel by Heather Long is a reverse harem romance. This is the second book in the 82 Street Vandals series.

The book comes with a caution "VICIOUS REBEL is a full length mature college/new adult romance with enemies-to-lovers/love-hate themes. This is a reverse harem novel, meaning the main character has more than one love interest. This is book two in the series."

I absolutely love this series! Heather does an amazing job pulling me in from the first chapter. I am loving the relationship that's blooming between Emersyn and the Vandals.

I really enjoyed getting Emersyn, Jasper, Kellan, Rome, Liam and Vaughn's point of views throughout the book. Getting the flashbacks of their lives really brought another dimension to the story. I am falling more and more for these boys!

The cliffhanger was amazing! I can't wait for the next book Ruthless Traitor to be released on October 26, 2021.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves captive romances, dark romances, enemies-to-lovers romance, new adult romances, reverse harems, or romantic suspense. This book has it all and is definitely one of my TOP READS for 2021!

This was a solid continuation of Emersyn and the Vandals! I enjoyed seeing how the cliffhanger of book 1 played out and seeing their connections develop more with each other.

We got some backstory about the guys and how they met, and growing up together. Rome and Liam’s situation made me sad, it wasn’t fully explored so I’m interested in finding out more. Liam so far isn’t really a favorite though.

We find out more about Emersyn and what she’s gone through, and I can’t wait for her to get her revenge! Poor girl has been through it.

Plot wise, this is a slower burn. While relationships develop, we don’t really get many answers and there’s a cliffhanger.

Can’t wait for book 3!

Fantastic storytelling

I loved how the chapters worked in this, with us readers getting glimpses of all of their pasts even while the characters were still keeping secrets from each other. I love emersons strength growing as she continues to heal away from those who hurt her, and i also love the different personalities of the guys coming out. I hope that the reveal at the end doesn't set their relationships back too far, but it's such a compelling story that i will eagerly read it regardless of what turn it takes

Vicious Rebel is the thrilling next installment in the 82nd Street Vandals series and it brings it. For the sake of not giving spoilers, I’ll be brief and say we get to learn more of everyone’s backstories. We get to a peek into E’s past and it’s not going to be pretty. There is action, there is romance, there is a lot of entertainment with some steam sprinkled in. Now off to wait for the next book.

I’m hooked. Definitely going to keep going until I run out of books (because I have no self control) and then I’ll probably cry and wait impatiently for the rest to come out because I saw it’s supposed to be 9 books. Totally worth it based on how this has gone so far. Just the right amount of mystery and clues unraveling what’s happening. A touch of darkness (check trigger warnings) and intrigue. Super lovable characters who don’t mind sharing their flaws and an independent, strong, and capable female love interest who is learning how to rely on others.

Kinda Rough

Okay, so this book was slow.. I mean there was the very irritating of the back and forward of the present and past, but I guess it was needed to get a good grip on the main characters. But some spots were just plain oh boring and took me a minute to get through it.. However this book didn't get good until the very last 2 pages and then we were left hanging off this big ass cliff... Ugh!

Anyway, so we will get to see what's up with our heroine and her alpha males on the next book release whenever that will be...

I enjoyed this one more than book one, we finally got a little back story on everyone. Though I think there is still a long way to go and a lot of secrets to uncover.

Emersyn’s past is definitely dark and I definitely want to know more. All of the guys are definitely interesting and are keeping me intrigued…though if they all end up in the harem that’s going to be hard to keep track. The twist at the end I was surprised. How it turned out is not what I was excepting! Definitely excited for book 3!

Just wow

Didn’t quite see that ending coming I have to admit. I had theories but that wasn’t one of them and now I’m wondering why it wasn’t! Another epic ready from Heather which is to be expected! I loved seeing our girl grow into herself more and starting to trust. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Our heroine Emersyn planned her escape, they had to know she’d run, they had to know, she was free, up until a point, or so she thought when her past in the shape of her uncle, the shape of all her pain, throttled her back into life, nightmares reawakened, ones she dare not face again, but it all came to a screeching halt, her plans thwarted, she didn’t know who to call, who to turn to, where to go, she made a choice, made a decision to stay, one she hoped not to regret, because sometimes, you have to fall before you fly, and every flight required a leap of faith.

The life that she knew, is now gone, once upon a time she travelled, the lead performer of a show, she had been beaten, but never broken, she did not belong in there, they still took her, and still, she did not know why. There unwavering promise to protect her, to keep her safe has been first and foremost there priority, her world and theirs are on a collision course, she didn’t want her world to rain down on them, as much as they didn’t want there world to rain down on her, but in life we don’t always get to choose and or make those choices, because there are those out there that will take away all that, and as much as she didn’t belong in there world, they weren’t going to let her go, ever.

Jasper, Rome, Kellan, Liam, Vaughn and Doc, the dominant alpha males in Emersyn’s life. They love her, every facet of the person that she is, inside and out, they have a need to all show her in different ways, there way, she brings out the best and worst in all of them, the trauma they have lived through, that has shaped them, are repressions that is challenged, brings them all together, there desire for Emersyn is nothing of which they have ever felt before. They fight for her affections anyway they can, controlling her, it all comes to ahead, when she puts them in their place, they come to the realization that their choices and actions have consequences, and if they are not careful, they may very well push her out the door, for good.

The different point of views told a telling story, the backstory of our characters, the themes, and triggers, however dark, defines who they all are now in the present, it enables the readers to really connect with the characters. There are moments that will resonate with you, that will make you laugh, that will make you cry, that with make you say what the f!@#, that will make you want to jump into the story and possessively defend and protect Emersyn. Each of these men play a vital role in Emersyn’s life, whether she wants them to or not.

Overtime she begins to slowly open to them about the traumas of her past, she wants to trust them, and they want to trust her too, even with the thought of her uncle out there trying to find her, plagued by nightmares, the bounty on her head, the thrill, the chase, the danger, the violence, it just puts her in more of a precarious situation, one thing these men will never allow to happen.

Emersyn continues to find herself tangled in a web she did not know existed, and when truths begin to reveal themselves, one of which is that they have been deceptively part of her life for years. There is a perplexing tangle of secrets, powerful in themselves, deception, pain, and motives, and at the end it becomes all the clearer with that life changing revelation, which no one saw coming, and who knows what this means for Emersyn and her guys, there connection to her past and what secrets have yet to be exposed.

Their story was raw and sensual, as it was powerful and confronting. It was fast paced and thrilling, it made my heart race and soar to unfathomable heights. The author knows how to write, to ensnare her readers to ensure they will come back for more, me I am coming back for more as we eagerly anticipate how it will all go down in book three.

And those s€x scenes were down right sensually erotic, the filthy dirty talk an absolute turn on, daring, explosive, provocative, possessive, controlling, oh so steamy, deliciously wicked, dirty, hot, beautiful, dark, naughty, raw, powerful, passionate, wet, dominating, and wild.

Love how the author gives us answers in the same breath she keeps a lot of stuff still hidden. Little breadcrumbs are thrown here and there building up to a huge reveal and my god what a reveal it was by the end. I was shocked, when I reached the ending so many things made sense. The little pieces we get to know from the past the whys and the reasons behind certain things made sense now. I am excited where we will go from here.

In this second part we get to know more about the boys which I appreciated. I really wanted to form a connection with them. In the first book most of them were elusive and just these mystery characters who intrigued me. But in this book we get to know them more than their surface level. We get some past scenes from their childhood, how the boys came together, how each of them had different demons to deal with and yeah this band of misfits made more sense after getting to know about all this.

Jasper - He is the asshole who gets better when we give him more time. He has the most possessive bone in his body but he is definitely coming around. I appreciate that part of his character that he tries, if he knows he is being an asshole he tries to be better. This personality trait of him makes me like him because it has to be hard for him.
Kellan- Wow, I legit thought him to be a mysterious guy who will be cold and hot but he was soft in this book and I liked that. He was really sweet.
Vaughn- He is the first guy who stood out among all because he is just so fun and it does not seem like he is hiding anything, his connection with Emersyn right away made me like him more. But it looks like third book would be kind of focused more on him I guess and I am excited to know deeper about his character.
Rome- He is my favorite, there is something about the quiet ones that makes me want to hug and protect them lol. I love Rome's artistic side and just his silent quirks. I appreciate his character a lot.
Liam - Wow Liam was very interesting, honestly will he be part of the harem? I don't know. My gut feeling says yes and I did like him in this book. He is not a Vandal but he is connected to them through his brother. It will be interesting to know more about what Liam does in his personal life. We do get some of the information in this book but he definitely has a lot up his sleeve.
Doc- Wow, the older guys are irresistible. Honestly, Doc was a surprise but we get to see him slightly more relaxed and not just as a doctor in this book so I think I am interested in how it will flow. We also kind of get an understanding on how the doc and the vandals are related I guess so that's nice.
Freddie - My boy, my heart broke for him. I felt super sad for him and I just wanted to give him a hug and coach him to be better but I know recovery is not instant, it will take time and Freddie has to go through so much stuff to reclaim his mental state I feel. Is he part of the harem? Could be I guess I don't know. But I want him to first get better than falling in this relationship dynamic.

Emersyn, god my heart broke when we got to know what happened to her in the past. I can't even believe how she is still so strong and has not lost her grit after everything that happened to her. She is a fighter and I hope when things finally come out mostly in the following books revenge will be taken. I am looking forward it.

In all I liked this book obviously I will keep reading more now that we are left with a crazy cliffhanger.

"We empower what we fear when we focus on it." pg. 294

DNF - Finished 100% of book 1 & 2 - 17% of book 3

***Review Shared for series***

This book started out pretty interesting. I was pretty invested early on, but for me it went downhill. First of all, in the beginning the men were hard to keep track of because they were referred to as two different names without any explanation of which names went with which character. Eventually you do get the hang of it and put it together but I wish the characters were introduced differently because it almost felt like reading who said something was useless because I had no idea who it was. Like I said, eventually you get used to it and are able to put it together yourself so it's not a huge deal. Just kind of annoying when it's reverse harem so there are a lot of people to keep track of.

The other thing that I struggled with was the whole "what the hell does that mean?" every 5 seconds. I am all there for twists, surprises, and eluding to some things. But to go the first two entire books with virtually no idea why the main events are happening and why the men even know about/care about her just gets kind of annoying. Mostly because it wasn't something little that you are like "oooohhh I wonder what's gonna happen with that" and then you keep reading because you'll get to it eventually. No, with this it was like... the main plot line and huge events you were left wondering "why?" and left waiting to find out...

And then when we finally did find out it was kind of anti-climatic for me. It was one of the things I thought might be the reason but then how it happened and everything that started to change once the reasoning behind well.. everything... came to light it was like everything was gonna change. And the FMC is still just being tugged along for the ride without any real care.

Once I got to the third book and every other chapter was flashbacks I had to give up... It just felt like added fluff to me and although I know it was helping finally explain everything it was just dragging on the current events and making me kind of lag and lose interest.

All that being said, I still gave the writing 3 stars (I usually do 1-2 for anything I don't finish) The author is extremely talented and I might try another series they wrote to see if I like it because I like the style of writing. This storyline just wasn't for me.

6/5⭐ What a amazing read that blew me away with it depths, emotions, the story and how it was presented. This was such a satisfying read and you will be a goner after you read this book for this series and these characters simply a goner. Totally emotionally invested. I love Savage vandal & vicious Rebel just went in deep.
We get to know the characters through flashbacks & in the present day. With multiple povs throughout the book we got a look at the bigger picture. This book really gives you what you want & getting to know what's up, what's going on, as well also falling in love with each of the guys.
We got to know each other guys & I can't wait to know more, it is just booked 2 yep I'm a total goner and I love it. I really loved in the first book you weren't sure who was in the harem and I don't know if you'll be able to say for certain who's in it but you do know who the main characters are every one of the main characters in the last book we learn a lot about.

I love the story of this book and the journey Emerson went on. The events of the ending of the last book needed to happen to push her character forward in her interactions with these guys considering the circumstances of how she found herself with the Vandals. I think this book give the readers what they want after book 1 & is very satisfying. This book transported me into this world, it made me laugh, cry, it was well-balanced. I would say that this is a dark romance but it's like easy to digest easy to read dark. Heather Long writed in just the absolute perfect way.

She really blows me away with her writing style this style of storytelling that just makes you fall in love with the characters, get inside their head, transport you into their world & want to read literally anything that they're doing. I mean that's true talent to be able to write that way she makes you so emotionally invested in her stories it is a true talent and I think after reading this book you will know exactly what I what I mean.

I highly recommend this book and I highly recommend Heather long and all her work she's an absolute incredible writer and I am in awe of her. And Incredibly thankful for her writing and then I get these books to just simply get lost in emotionally invested in and that just means so much to me.

I'm so happy to be back for round two of the 82nd Street Vandals, I've missed these sexy men so much, with their quirky personalities and questionable tactics 😂

The second installment to this incredible Reverse Harem series gave us even more than book 1, and I was here for it all!

Everything felt so amped up, the whole gangs and territories rivalry was more intense, the Bloodshed was more gruesome, the comfort levels and humor with some of them was knocked up and the steam...Lord have mercy, the steam was IMMENSE 🥵

Those dynamics between Emersyn and the Vandals are coming together so perfectly now and we got so much more relationship building. Each guy is so unique and different and I love so much about each of them individually, there's a Vandal for everyone's flavour whether it be an alphahole like Jasper, the goofball like Freddie, the understanding one like Kellan, the nurturer like Vaughan, the cryptic one like Liam or the mysterious one like Rome. (Back off you thirsy lot, I call dibs on him 😍)

RH lovers know we stan the whole "why choose?" way of life, but I can't help but always have a favourite, usually it's the goofball but I've got special love for Rome since book 1 and it's only intensified after this book! From the guy who barely spoke, to the guy who...Still barely speaks but shows how he feels in other ways now. GAH, love him!

But what was so amazing was the flashbacks to their earlier lives. Good grief my poor heart could barely cope! The way the flashbacks intertwined with the story was flawless and the world building was epic. We got so much back story to them all and it was amazing to get to know them better and how these guys came together. 😍

Sexy men aside, the actual story is amazing, and don't even get me started on that ending! The AUDACTIY of that cliff hanger 😩 if you left me to guess how this book was going to end I never in a million years would have ever though it would be like that. And now, well now I just have to sit and wait as patently as possible for the next one and cope as best as I can. Who knows maybe by the next book I'll have calmed down a bit from the shock!

This is a series that keeps on giving so make sure its on your radar if you love a dark RH!

Nine books is a lot and so I am only going to write a series review not an individual review for each book. The series started out with 5 stars but then it got boring and did not have enough interesting things to keep my attention. Books 6-8 can be completely skipped. I read them but after reading them I felt they could have been skipped.

There were a lot of things that happened thought the series that were not needed the most annoying one being her mother. Throwing her mother's rescue and recovery in the book was way too much I didn't care enough about the mother for it to be worth reading. Also when I read RH I expect each guy to be completely unique and distinct and have different personalities so they don’t blend together. In this series, the guys all blend together. There was only one of her guys who stood out and had a completely unique personality and he became by far hands down my favorite guy Rome. I also loved how unique Freddy was but I considered him a friend in books 1-5 so I don’t consider him one of her guys. The biggest problem red flag with this aeries was how long it took the guys to realize who her abuser was and for them to take nine books before they get rid of her abuser is way way way too long. When he was not gone and still a problem in book four I lost a lot of respect for the guys.

I would give books 2-5 and book 9 ⭐️5 stars. But when you add in all the filler things that happened thought the series that were not needed it becomes a 3-star series that being said ai am a sucker for unique nicknames and tattoos. Both of which the book has lots of so I am putting the series at ⭐️ 4 stars. The reason it gained a star was because each guy had a truly unique and beautiful different nickname for the heroine. The other reason for gaining a star was how much detail the author goes into describing each of Romes's art pieces and the guys and the heroine's tattoos. The author did a great job painting the picture in my mind so I can give the series ⭐️4 stars!

I have to start with WOW…Just WOW!

Completing this book has me reeling and not just because of that bombshell of a cliffhanger.

Vicious Rebels by Heather Long is not a story that you simply read. It is a story experience.

If I thought I loved the characters before I was wrong, oh so so wrong. This story immerses you so deeply into the souls of the characters it’s nearly suffocating. I’ve never read a story that so seamlessly built on the current plot all while delving into the past, giving us a glimpse into the true nature of the characters. How Heather propels the reader both forward and backward in the story is everything.

I LOVE the character development in this story. We learn so much more about ALL of the characters, but not enough all at the same time. Emersyn’s past is tragic, yet watching her find herself is inspiring. The guys, don’t even get me started on the guys. Vicious Rebels takes these stony faced men who seem unbreakable and rips them open, showing us just how vulnerable they truly are. I have no words for what they all went through, but the relationship, the brotherhood between them speaks volumes.

Though it seems like so much was revealed in this book, I know this is just a cursory glance of what it to come. There are still so many lies, secrets, and unknown motives in play here and that’s not including the plot twist that drops us off the cliff at the end.

If I thought I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Vicious Rebel that is nothing on my need to have Ruthless Traitor in my hands.

If you haven’t already started this series you really need to check it out. In all honesty, you should just grab all of Heather Long’s book-because they do not disappoint. I want to say you never know what you are going to get with her books, but the reality is you know… you know that whatever she comes up with is going to be epic!
