I knew the second I'd arrived back in Portland he'd know I was here within days, so it wasn't a shock to me that he came knocking on my door, literally. Kaden was my first love, but he isn't the same man anymore. These days he goes by another name, Kinetic, one he was given when he went overseas.

Now he's in a biker club and living a totally different life. Hell, I roll my eyes thinking about it. I came back here to take care of my elderly mother because she just had a full hip replacement, but I didn't come alone. So much has changed over the last decade and as soon as I saw him, everything came rushing back.

Will I be able to get out of Portland unscathed, or is Kinetic going to weasel his way into my heart like Kaden did?

Years ago, I enlisted in the Marines and thought my life was going just the way I planned. Had the girl and the career I always wanted. We were kids, just starting our lives and had so much to look forward to. I had it all figured out, but the kicker is it never happened.

I've lived the last twelve years mainly overseas working alongside my brothers. Men who I'd laid down my life for. Coming home we started the Deathstalkers MC and I never looked back.

Now I'm standing on the front porch of Charlee's mom's house, glaring down at her as she holds onto the one thing she knew I always wanted. My kid. Decisions have to be made and something's going to give. Either way she'll be mine again.

Elizabeth Knox has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Charlee and Kinetic (Kaden). Charlee and Kinetic had been a couple when they were in high school. Kaden had signed up for the military and the day he is to leave for basic training, Charlee meets him and tells him she can't do it anymore, and breaks up with him. Now twelve years later, she is back in town to take care of her mother Amelia after surgery. Charlee's daughter Vivi is not happy to be there since Charlee has left her husband Marc. She has filed for divorce. Kinetic has been gone for a week and when he gets to the club, one of the club's playthings, Feisty comes up to him and wraps her arms around him. Kinetic gets mad at this and tells her to never put her hands on him unless told to. Feisty sits in Kinetic's lap. As I place my hands on her hips to remove her from my lap, Bowser sits in the chair across from me with a grin. “What's got you smiling like the cat that ate the canary?” I ask, releasing Feisty and waving my hand, telling her to get lost. “Well, this cat just so happens to have some news for you.” Bowser chuckles. “Yeah? You gonna elaborate on this news?” I ask, lifting my beer to my lips. “Seems I have a new neighbor. Someone moved back into her momma’s house while we were out on this run.” Kinetic wants to know which neighbor. Bowser tells him, Mrs. Amelia. Kinetic goes over to Amelia's house and Charlee opens the door. She is shocked to see Kinetic standing there. She wants to know what he is doing there. He tells her that he has helped her mom out over the years. From behind her, Vivi tells her that the TV is not working. Kinetic goes in to help her and when he looks into her eyes, he knows that she is his daughter. He gets so mad over not knowing about Vivi. Kinetic tells her that they will talk later when he leaves. A few days later, Amelia is talking to Charlee and tells her that she knows that Vivi is Kinetic's daughter. Amelia tells her that she needs to go and get some cookies and take them to Kinetic. Charlee can't believe her mother wants her to go and talk to Kinetic. When she sees Kinetic, things don't go well. He wants to know why she did what she had done. He walks away from her and drives off. A friend of Amelia's comes over and Amelia tells her to go out and enjoy herself for a little while. Charlee goes to The Waterhole for a drink. She is sitting at the bar and talking to Noah, the bartender. A few bikers walk in and Rocky asks Noah" if he had seen any DeathStalkers around?" Rocky looks at -Charlee and starts talking to her. She doesn't want anything to do with him. Rocky puts his hands on her and this is when Kinetic walks in and they go and sit down. Kinetic wonders why Charlee is there. Kinetic is there to take care of some business for the club. Rocky is not happy to be dealing with Kinetic. After the business is done, Kinetic starts to walk toward Charlee and Rocky tells him that he calls dibs on her. Vader tells him that he doesn't want to do that. Kinetic tells Rocky that he needs to leave before he gets his head bashed in. Rocky doesn't like the way he is being talked to. Noah, the bartender tells Rocky that he doesn't need to have the two of them fighting. He tells Rocky that his business was done and now he could leave. Rocky said something about Charlee and Kinetic goes after him. While they are fighting, Dime, a guy with Rocky, grabbed Charlee from behind and puts a gun to her head. Charlee yells for Kinetic. The fighting stops and he looks at Charlee. When Vader sees what is going on, he tries to get Dime to let Charlee go. Dime thinks that she is the reason for the fight and he plans to take care of it. Kinetic tells Dime that he needs to let Charlee go since she is his Ol' lady. Dime tells him that everyone knows he doesn't have an Ol' lady. Dime is about to shoot her when Vader pushes her out of Dimes arm and Kinetic shoots him. Things go from bad to worse when shots start from the door of the bar. Kinetic is pulling Charlee out of the bar and Vader is right behind him. Kinetic takes her to the clubhouse because she is in shock. When they get to the clubhouse, he has two of the other guys watch her while he goes and talks to Hawk, the president of the club, and tells him what happened. Kinetic takes Charlee home and he doesn't want to leave her alone. They end up sleeping together and all the old feeling come back. They talk and decide to give themselves a second chance. This allows Kinetic to get to know his daughter.
Will things work out for Charlee and Kinetic?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Coming back home just brings more complications but also a new start

I originally read Kinetic when it was first published in 2021. It has since been revised, expanded and edited. So I decided to revisit the Deathstalkers MC and see what new was going to happen for Charlee and Kaden. Once I got into the story I remembered a lot of it but loved the way it has been changed and given more depth to the characters and the story-line.

October, 2021
Kinetic is the first book in the new Deathstalkers MC series and starts it off with a fast-paced, danger filled and sizzling smexy passionate story. In high school Charlee and Kaden were sweethearts. But after they graduated he joined up and Charlee breaks up with him. After he served Kaden came back home, joined the Deathstalkers MC and became Kinetic, the clubs enforcer. Charlee had moved away and made a life for herself. She got married to Marc and had a daughter Vivi. It is now twelve years later and Charlee has come back home look after her mother as she recovers from surgery. As soon as Kaden gets word she is back home he knows he has to see her and ends up on her doorstep. Charlee has some secrets that if they come out will upend more than a few lives. Plus her life is already complicated as she has filed for divorce from Marc and Vivi is not happy to be there. So add in Kinetic wanting back in her life and a meddling mother and things get even more complicated.

This was a fast-paced novella which was a fun read. The story-line is a nice mix of second chance and secret child tropes with MC light. There are a few twists that keep the story entertaining and moving. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next in this series.

When Charlee opens the door, she shocked to see Kaden/Kinetic at the door. He is then blown away when he sees Charlee's daughter.

This book is a wonderful Motorcycle Club (MC) that starts off by giving use a peek into the past for Kaden, aka Kinetic, and his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Charlee. We see Kaden at the bus depot getting ready to go to the Marines basic training camp and he's waiting for Charlee to come meet him to say goodbye. He has an engagement ring in his pocket because he wants to propose to her before he leaves and she goes away to college. He's positive that they can survive this brief separation and he plans to visit her often on his breaks from the Marines. Charlee finally shows up to tell him goodbye but instead she tells him that she loves him very much but can't do this, that this is goodbye forever and she doesn't see a future for them. She will not be sitting at home wondering if he's been injured or even killed and that she can't handle that. She needs to end it now. His last words to her are that if she does this there's no turning back. She agrees and then leaves with tears streaming down her face. She never tells him that she recently discovered that she was pregnant with his baby. Fast forward and Charlee has moved back to her hometown with her eleven year old daughter to take care of her mother, who recently had a double hip replacement. She answers the door to find Kinetic, he no longer goes by Kaden, on the doorstep looking very handsome and very much a man. They have brief conversation about why he's there and she finds out that he's been helping her mother out when and wherever he can. While on the porch, the door opens and Charlee's daughter, Viviana Kelly, comes out because there's a problem with the T.V. and Kinetic offers to fix it because he's good with electronics. He notices her eyes are just like his, he meets his daughter for the first time and learns her middle name is his last name and she has his mother's name, Ana, as well. He doesn't tell her he's her father and quickly exits the house to curb his anger and consider the new facts presented to him. He goes to the MC's club house to drink his anger and pain away. In the meanwhile, Charlee gets a break from her mother and daughter duties so she goes to a bar on the outskirts of town. Kinetic is roused from his drinking to go tend to some club business, meeting another MC, the Toxic Warriors, to get the pay they're owed for a week long run they did in conjunction with them. Kinetic walks into the bar to meet the other MC and he's confronted with the image of Charlee seemingly talking to the other MC member. He sees red! This is where I'll leave you so you'll have to get the book to find out what happens next. Let's just say it gets very intense from here on. There's feelings that are revealed, a hostage situation that leads to a gunfight between the MCs and a death that hurts a lot of people. This really is a heartwarming second chance novel that has all the hallmarks of an absolutely wonderful romance. It's a MC romance with a heart of gold! I can't wait to read what else is coming up for the Deathstalkers MC. I highly recommend this book for its original romantic storyline and its strong, well crafted ​characters that you can't help but fall in love with. Five stars for this sizzler! A top notch book all the way!

Kaden and Charlee. They are high school sweethearts. He wants the marines and take her with him. She wants college but knows he doesnt like the city. Hes been excepted to special operations in the Marines. Shes been excepted to her dream college in New York. He knows the long distance will work its only 4 years or so and she can come see him on spring break, right? They have graduated and are at the after party. Next shes seeing two pink lines. She thinks he can go to college with her and help since he hasnt told her anything about the Marines yet and when he says he cant go with her he leaves for basics in a week and they can meet up on break she runs without telling him about the lines. When he leaves she meets him at the military bus where he was going to ask her to marry him but she tells him she cant wait around for him or to be told hes dead and he tells her if she does this theres no turning back.....she leaves. Hes heart broken and he will never put his heart on the line again. Vivi is eleven now my mom had a double hip replacement and my sleezy husband is cheating on me so....I go remote and move back in with my mom. Someone is at the door and when I open it it the man I left 12 yrs ago...Kinetic. When Vivi comes to the door asking about the tv Kinitic fixes it for her and notices her eyes are the eyes he see in the mirror every day...WTF... He was so angry. This book has all that is MC life..suspense, murder, mystery, misunderstanding, regret, danger, brotherhood, revenge, betrayal and lots of emotions. Loved It.

Young love -> graduation -> separation -> adult responsibilities & devotion. What happened to change all this? Two seperate future plans. Charlee of to N.Y. Uni. Kadeen, following in his dad’s steps into the Marines. Life changing decisions brought forth on both their futures. Not what either had planned.

Moving along. A night of MC club business gone wrong. % money passed over but when females become targets, matters escalate, especially an MC ole lady. Charlee was in the crossfire of certain meeting, leading to destruction.
All this changed for Kade’s/Kinetic. His anger with Charlee changed that night. Life was going back on track for them and his family.

Overall, the beginning of a new MC - The Deathstalkers. A tame and youthful start of innocent love. Jump ahead and we are introduced to the Deathstalkers MC.
Though Kaden becomes Kinetic, the mystery of how he joined wasn’t clearly expressed. Yes his brothers in arms also became members but…?
A lot happened to him which also made him the man he is today.

A heartfelt read, full of emotions. A joy to continuously read about the life within a MC. Interesting terminology for this club and their w….s - firecrotches, gave me a little laugh.
What else was interesting was no child/women trafficking. Drug dealings are the usual along with territory.

I absolutely love everything Elizabeth Knox writes. I have even gotten over tbe fact that most of the stories are short. I think what I enjoy most is that they all connect in one way or another. I love it when authors like Elizabeth Knox and E. C. Land build worlds and connect the strings of different series together, even authors.

In Kinetic, the the newest Deathstalkers MC series, we are getting the story of Kinetic and Charlee. At some point I must have read the introduction because it was so familiar. But honestly through the entire story it was as if I had already read it. I've never experienced this through an entire book. Hopefully, it was just listed twice on Goodreads and no one has noticed it before, possibly listed under both Knox and Land.

Just as Kinetic is getting ready to ship out to basic, Charlee hits him with the damming news that she wants to break their relationship off. Charlee leaves town to pursue her own dreams and Kinetic drowns himself in war.

Almost 11 years have past when Charlee finds herself divorced and back in her hometown. However, when she returns home it takes only a glimpse for Kinetic to know Charlee has been keeping the biggest secret of her life from him. His daughter! It's only a matter of time to learn if keeping his daughter from him will destroy any lingering feelings.

If your like me, I know you are desperate for more deets. However, your just going to have to read and enjoy as much as I did.

Charlee and Kaden were high school sweethearts until a failure to communicate left them separated and starting their life after high school alone. Kaden returned to his small town after his military service and joined the Deathstalkers, an MC becoming Kinetic. Charlee followed her career/education dreams and ended in a failed marriage but with a lovely daughter and a good career. She has to return to her hometown to help her mother at the same time as her marriage fell apart.

We found out at the beginning of the book that her daughter is Kaden's. Kinetic finds that out after he hears she is in town and shows up at her house. Seems he has been helping her Mom all of these years when she needs help. They still have feelings for each other and tons of unresolved issues about the hurt each feels towards each other.

Now I usually like the books I read from each of these authors but this book had a lot of continuation errors and also at the end during a tragedy, the character's reactions just seemed very odd and off (and I realize that everyone reacts differently to trauma but each of these characters reactions just did not ring realistic and it threw me out of the story). The end just seems rushed to get to that HEA. If Amazon allowed this would have been 2.5 stars as the story has good bones but was not fleshed out.

This is a story of two children who grow up in the same small town in Oregon, go to school together and become high school sweethearts. Although they feel committed to each other, they have a contentious parting after graduating high school and are separated for over ten years. Although they do not engage in any direct communication during that time, her mother and his military brothers (now MC) are occasionally able to share information with them about each other.

The day comes when she returns from New York and circumstances bring them together again. Will their old feelings resurface? Who is the young girl that returned with her? Had she married? Had he moved on without her after high school?

This is a moderately angsty second chance romance with some twists and turns, conflicts, broken hearts, murder, resolution and redemption. Ultimately there is the anticipated and promised HEA. I enjoyed the theme of the story, and it was well presented. There were some minor errors which didn't take away from the overall presentation and which I trust will be corrected before final publication. There are follow-up books showcasing other characters in this story, which I expect will be equally enjoyable.

Kaden/Kinetic and Charlee were young and in love when they made life altering decisions without a lot of thought about how it would affect everything. Kaden left for the military with a broken heart and came back as Kinetic, Enforcer for the Deathstalkers MC. He hardened his broken heart vowing to never let another woman in again and he kept that vow. He just didn't realize Charlee never left his heart. Hearing that she's returned home the first thing Kinetic does is makes his way to her mom's house. Only Charlee didn't come home alone. Making the tough choice at 18 that she couldn't handle being a military girlfriend who was always scared that the love of her life wouldn't return, Charlee ran. She tried to make a life for her and her daughter, Vivi on the opposite side of the US. Only life has a way of coming full circle and she quickly realizes all the mistakes she made when she's once again faced with Kaden. Their road to happily ever after was not easy but they handled it together knowing this was where they were both meant to be all along. Loved Kaden/Kinetic, Charlee, Vivi and their fur babies! So curious as to who's story we'll get next. As always, E.C. Land and Elizabeth Knox gave us an awesome story about brotherhood, first love and the second chance at happiness!

Hidden pregnancies are never my favorites but this one was pretty good. The story and plot were quick and to the point. Kaden/Kinetic was so sweet. He didn't do anything wrong and I felt for him. He had so much taken away from him. Charlee was cool she made some mistakes but it really did seem like she felt bad for her choices she made. Their daughter was so cute and sassy a great mix of her parents. The MC business was small but there. It had some spice to it but it was overwhelming. I enjoyed this story and look forward to the next in the series.

Although I liked the background story about Kaden and Charlee, I think it painted Charlee in a bad light and I frankly didn’t like her very much. Not only was she selfish for not telling Kaden that she was pregnant, but she wanted him to give up his dreams while still following her own. Her only excuse was that they were both so young. My other problem with Charlee was the fact she married a man she didn’t love, which ultimately blew up in her face. I could imagine Kaden’s pain when he found out he had a daughter that had grown up without him for so long and I could understand his anger at Charlee for keeping him in the dark. It was then all the more surprising how quickly he forgave her, probably quicker than she forgave herself. I wish we could have seen a lot more of Vivi, but what there was showed an amazingly mature, delightful little girl, who evidently took after her mother. When Charlee is inadvertently caught in the middle of a conflict between the Deathstalkers and the rogue members of a rival MC club, Kaden steps up to protect his girls and realizes his feelings for Charlee have never changed.

Kaden is known by his MC name Kinetic, unattached he is a strong and reliable character
Kaden is known as Kinetin within his MC and along with his brothers his club was well known, she was an ex-marine and had been in love with Charlee and he had been going to propose to her then unexpectedly she had called things off and had now discovered given birth to his daughter without his knowledge.
Now there was a very tumultuous conflict between the Toxic Warriors and his MC and he discovers that he has things that he has to deal with and he had been surprised to discover that he had been the father to a daughter. The reconciliation between Charlee and himself had not been easy and learning that he was now a family man was also a surprise and he would keep them safe.
This was a complex story and the getting together of the couple and the reaction that Kaden had was to come to a head when Charlee had visited the MC and had discovered that there were women at the MC, un attached women and this was something that would not be stood for.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all their wonderful writing.

You say second chance and secret baby, I say heck Yeah.😍 This one pulled me in right from the start as we see how Kaden and Charlee are in a sweet relationship and all set to graduate and start a new chapter of their life.

Everything was laden out and planned out already and the future seemed bright and full of love because Charlee and Kaden would always have each other but they had no idea how different things would turn out.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the bantering between Kaden aka Kinetic now and Charlee when they come face to face after so many years.
I was also excited to find out, how Kinetic would find out about the biggest secret that charlee was hiding from him.

Also, Oh my the way Kinetic was I hate you kinda vibes in front of Charlee but was so possessive about her.
Especially when during one scene he rashly does something just shows how crazy he's over Charlee in spite of his anger over her.

This one packs a punch with the angsty vibes and steamy times but also the action and dangerous turns that come out of the blue.
Loved Kaden and Charlee and the wicked ride of how they find their way to each other back.💓💓

This contemporary dark MC romance is page-turning with exceptional world-building that is engulfed in danger, violence, darkness, and grit, and characters that are brooding, exude power and masculinity, captivating, and realistic.Their journey is enthralling with Kinetic, explicit romance that is consumed by sizzling passion, lust, desire, and spice with all the delicious feelings that are making readers' toes curling, bad boy romance, single mom, secret baby romance, second chance romance, Marines, first love, drama, lived the last twelve years overseas working alongside his brothers, taking care o fly elderly mother, setting in Portland, Kaden and Charlee's story, Kaden is Charlee's first love but he isn't the same anymore, drama, heartfelt emotions, action, adventure, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with Kinetic and explicit romance that is sure to transport readers into an exhilarating world of darkness that is wildly unforgettable.

This is the 1st in a new series and is Kaden / Kinetic and Charlee’s journey. These two were high school sweethearts, and when Kaden signed up for the military, Charlee broke up with him, breaking both of their hearts in the process. Now 12-years later Kinetic is back him and with his loyal brothers have started and MC where he is the enforcer. Charlee left home and got married and has a daughter Vivi. Now Charlee is getting divorced and with Vivi returns home to look after her mom who has just had surgery. It does not take long for Kinetic to find out that Charlee is home, and when he turns up on the doorstep, a secret is revealed. Kaden is nothing like the man he used to be, and he and Charlee have challenges to overcome along the way. Will these two get a 2nd chance at love, or is it too late? This is a well written story which is fast paced, and filled with danger, suspense, secrets, twists, passion, family, and love, which leads to an entertaining and riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented duo, whose work I highly recommend.

Kaden (Kinetic) and Charlee are high school sweethearts who suffer from a failure to communicate. Kaden heads off to the Marines where he and his fellow jarheads somehow manage not to get themselves killed. He returns home to join with his brothers in an MC club called the Deathstalkers. He knows Charlee is gone from town and married to someone else because he helps out her mother on occasion. When one of his brothers in the club tells him that Charlee is in town with a kid in tow, he immediately heads out to see for himself. Then he catches a glimpse of her daughter... their daughter. These two are still not really talking to each other, but then Charlee happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and things go to h-e-double toothpick in a bloody handbasket.

I found things to be a little predictable, at least up to a point. We do get to meet others in the MC who will likely get their own book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Kaden and Charlee were high school sweethearts until Kaden went to boot camp and she couldn’t handle it. Eleven years later Charlee comes back to town to take care of her mother and she has brought a secret with her. Kaden was in the Marines and when he got out he and his buddies started the Deathstakers MC and Kaden became Kinetic and the enforcer for the MC. As soon as Kinetic finds out that Charlee is back in town he went to her mother’s place and found out that Charlee had one of the only things he wanted, his child. Will Charlee want to be with Kinetic? Will Kinetic and Charlee find a way to make things work? Will Kinetic and Charlee find love and happiness together again?

Fantastic New Series for Elizabeth Knox and E.C. Land

The first book in the "Deathstalkers MC .” It is a thrilling and entertaining read that is filled with
drama, danger, secrets, guilt, great characters and plenty of steam.
Kinetic/Kaden and Charlee high school sweethearts were planning the rest of their lives together after graduation but Charlee wanted to study in NY and Kaden wanted to follow his Dad and enlist in Marines.
When Kaden was leaving for basic training Charlee broke up with him and they didn't see each other for almost 12 years.
Kaden is now Kinetic part of Deathstalkers.MC he finds himself out Charlee is back and staying at her mom's house, he goes there and Charlee is shocked to answer the door to Kaden but not as shocked as Kinetic when he sees Charlee has an 11yo daughter!
The sparks between Kinetic and Charlee are still there, can they navigate their way through their history to find happiness?

Charlee and Kaden were high school sweethearts and things ended badly between them. He joined the marines without talking to her first and this upset her. However, she has a secret of her own that she didn't share once he revealed his secret. Now years later she is back home to take care of her mother and her daughter is with her. Kaden is back as well, and he is a member of a local mc club. Once he learns about Charlee being back, he makes his way to her door. Sparks reignite between them as they struggle to make their path with each other. Things get complicated when a rival club starts making trouble. Will they get their second chance?

This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

I LOVED IT!

This is a great start to a new series, I couldn't put it down, I was consumed from the very beginning. I especially loved the plethora of emotions that it made me feel. In the very first chapter I was crying and the next the angst had me feeling kind of jittery. At times I was laughing at little Viviana, the things her character said and did were exactly what a girl her age would say and it brought back memories. Lol. The characters are easy to visualize and feel a connection to. Charlee's character is beautiful and easy to like. And Kinetic is your typical alpha bada** biker and he had been through something so heart wrenching just the thought of it had me crying again. Lol. At times the suspense gets really intense and had me bouncing in my seat. It gets so exciting I catch myself holding my breath. I loved every minute of it. The sex scenes are off the charts smokin hot! I can't wait to read the next book. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
