When she bumped into the handsome blue-eyed stranger two years ago in Afghanistan, Alexandra Hardesty knew that her life would change forever. With her upbringing, she understood that falling in love with a Navy SEAL wouldn’t be all smooth sailings and that their relationship would face many hurdles. Even through long deployments that included many lonely nights, Alex’s love never wavered from the man she gave her heart to.
Since asking Alex to marry him, Lt. Commander Marcus “Ace” Chambers has only wanted to give her the wedding of her dreams. But with both of them leading busy lives, Ace leading his team of elite SEALs, and Alex continuing to build on her foundation’s vision, scheduling the big day has proved difficult. Besides their careers, at the core of their lives is their support for their friends and family.
Unbeknown to their family and friends, Ace has been secretly planning a surprise for Alex. But before Ace can reveal his surprise, Alex is called out of town on a business trip. But then tragedy strikes bringing everything to halt as it is a race against time as Alex fights for her life.
Jaime Lewis, a USA TODAY bestselling author, entered the indie author world in June, 2020, with ACE, the first book in the Trident Series.
Coming from a military family she describes as very patriotic, it’s no surprise that her books are known for their accurate portrayal of life in the service.
Passionate in her support of the military, veterans and first responders, Jaime volunteers with the Daytona Division of the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps, a non-profit youth leadership development program sponsored by the U.S. Navy. Together with her son, she also manages a charity organization that supports military personnel and their families, along with veterans and first responders.
Born and raised in Edgewater, Maryland, Jaime now resides in Ormond Beach, Florida with her husband and two very active boys.
Between her day job, her two boys and writing, she doesn’t have a heap of spare time, but if she does you’ll find her somewhere in the outdoors. Jaime is also an avid sports fan.
5 stars! Ace and Alex's story continues in this very well written novella..this book made my heart ache, made me laugh and cry, it's everything I want in a romantic suspense book..I loved this series and I'm definitely looking forward to reading the Trident series Bravo books.
Brilliant, addictive, and all out amazing addition to this series!!!!! I’m not going to give anything away because you need to read it for yourself, but just know that Alex and Ace will give you everything in this story!!!! Bravo Jamie!!!! I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us readers next!!! Highly recommended

The wedding of Alex and Ace has had trailers, easter eggs and all the air time in the world through a lot of the preceding books in this series with a will they/won’t they vibe as well as angst building in terms of their relationship around it. So it’s fair to say that the words “eagerly anticipated” don’t do justice for how fans of this book have felt.
Which is perhaps the problem here and why I feel so awfully “meh” about this book.
Spoiler alert…
I adored how it started and felt we were well on track for a great story about how the characters were going to rediscover themselves and their love and the wedding would be a natural progression but once the cemetery scene ended I think it all got lost. It felt like there were so many ideas that there were not enough pages in a self imposed limit the author had set. We ping ponged to Alex and her foundation and the time it was taking to a rapid resolution there with Charlie, to a party and wedding planned by Ace despite the reason they had not married before being Alex’s need to have the wedding she wanted in particular (otherwise what IS the reason they hadn’t done this yet!!) then suddenly there was this weird interlude with her mum, then her sisters and and earthquake before a sprint to the finish.
(Also, when did tank meet a woman??)
Yes the book contains a wedding, but also so many plotting themes it’s like the author had all these ideas of where to go and how the story could progress but ran out of time or pages to do it in so the end result is a jumble of experiences on a page that don’t make sense overall
I adore this author and this series but on re-read I would skip this book and just treat the wedding as an off-page event.

This is book nine in The Trident Series and it is Alex and Ace's story and omg what an amazing and emotional ending to this incredible Series and it is a must read. I was in tears right from the start and I carried on crying throughout the whole book as it was so emotional. The Love between Alex and Ace is a truly beautiful thing and I found myself hoping that everything would go well for them and they would get the wedding that they both deserved especially after everything that they had been through. I absolutely love how the whole family are there for each other regardless of what it is and who needs the help and support and even though this is a fictional story you still feel like you are there going through everything with them and all of life's ups and downs. Jaime Lewis is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and On the edge of their seats while reading her books and they are so addictive. I can't wait to read the next series as I know that it will be just as amazing as this one. I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will definitely not be disappointed.
I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this Amazing Book.
This might be a quick read but it is still packed of plenty of emotions as we see Ace taking control of his and Alex's wedding that has continuously been put on the back burner due to Alex organizing one of the teams wedding or missions Alpha team go on. But as with anything what starts off as a successful Bachelor/bachelorette party things go side ways with Alex needing to travel for her Foundation and once again we are wondering will this wedding happen or will something worse happen. I did feel this novella felt a little rushed however it still left me satisfied and looking forward to the next series!!!

We met Alexandra (Alex) Hardesty and Marcus “Ace” Chambers in the very first book in this wonderful series and it is fitting that they should also close out the series They have been together for two years but have never gotten round to actually getting married after all they both lead extremely bust lives he constantly on missions and she setting up her foundation But Ace ghas had enough and is planning the perfect wedding but once again fate will throw them a curve ball can the marriage finally happening and will they get the future they dream of. The perfect way to end the series and now looking forward to the next team getting their stories
This is the ninth and final book in the Trident series. It's a short novella that centers around Ace and Alex. They've been together for two years, watching their friends and teammates fall in love, get married, start families but haven't yet tie the knot. They set a date for the wedding but will they make it down the aisle? Short, sweet, steamy, a nice way to end the series.

I just finished reading the meat book in this series and it was fantastic! The beginning of TBE Series is fun, fighting and absolutely the best beginning for the series! Every book in the series is great on its one but I adore a series of books where you can get to know all the characters involved. It is so much fun to pick up one of these books and step into another place. I never have to leave my home or work to escape for minutes or hours at a time. If you want a great read, pick up any or ALL of this series like I did and Enjoy!
This is the 4th book I've read written by Jaime Lewis; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is the 9th and final book in the Trident Series; it can be read as a stand-alone short story but would be better if read in order. The story is about Alex & Ace; they both have military careers so planning a wedding along with everything else is difficult so Ace plans a surprise for Alex but she gets called out of town on a business trip and tragedy strikes; now she fighting for her life.

I have read all of the books in this series. Each story held me captive & I couldn't stop until I finished the book. What I didn't care for was the numerous errors in the books, which I believe are typing errors. I am talking about incorrect words used, not spelling errors. I had to read some lines over to figure out was the author was trying to say in the story. Either a proof reader is required, or a better proof reader is needed. I will still read the author's books, the stories are great.
I have to be honest. I love to read books with .... the WOW factor, THE OMG's, LAUGH out loud's & THE NAIL BITING moments ! This series has it all. The only thing I would suggest, have a box of tissues for this last book in this series. And always read a series in "order.", you will enjoy it more. Happy reading !!!
Such a beautiful story, that actually had me in tears. Ace and Alex are planning to eventually tie the knot however Alex is in an accident that has her fighting for her life, but with the help of an angel she pulls through and then makes a heartwarming discovery. A really lovely story, I was so glad they got their happily ever after! Beautiful end to a fantastic series!

I really love this Trident series, and the opportunity to see Alex and Ace's story. They make such a romantic couple and as sad as I am to see this series end, they finished it off quite beautifully. All of the books in this series were so emotionally charged up that it was really difficult to not fall in love with the characters.

This book had me crying when Tink and Mac was try to help Alex I really didn't think she was going to make it, I just knew it couldn't end like this. I really did live how it did end, Ace and Alex had started their family and finally got marry. Absolutely amazing book.
The ninth book in the Trident Series a well written short story that kept me turning pages, I was not putting it down until I was finished. We get to see what happens as Alexandra Hardesty and Lt. Commander Marcus “Ace” Chambers get ready for their wedding. There is suspense, drama, twists, turns, surprises, and love. I would recommend.
A wonderful ending to this portion of the series! Having Saud that, there still are alot of sentences that are missing connected words. I had to rewrite quite alot of them in my head as I was reading this book and Diego.
I would love to read about Derek and Tink and their team when they were younger.
If you are a Susan Stoked fan you will surely love this series by Jaime Lewis. The stories are very well Written and each is a "page turner" and you will be sucked into the suspense, intrigue, and Romance of each story. I highly recommend this series. You won't be sorry.
The first book of this series I read for free thru an email and ended up buying the rest of the series book...can't say enough about this author series. Has every emotion power in it. This author is phenomenal. Read the whole series and I promise you won't be diy...on to another one of her books!!
WOW. What a way to end this series. Right with the couple that started it all. Dreams to come true for those who wait. Life is full of twists and turns that keeps you living. A true love story.
The book was short and sweet, but an amazing ending to the wonderful Trident series. I enjoyed each and every book and look forward to reading mor books from Jaime Lewis.
Although this was a novella it still rates 5 a star review. It was an accumulation of both Ace’s and Alex’s life together. It was a fitting end to the Trident series.
Fantastic story! Characters that will steal your heart. A storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat and glued to your kindle! For me it was a love- hate deal as the characters face their demons. You will feel their emotions and struggles. A definite must read.
This is the perfect conclusion to this series. I’ve laughed, cried and got cross throughout. Never forget to take your opportunities when they are presented as we are not all guaranteed the time we expect or hope for.
Loved this book!! So loving and emotional. I don't usually like books that make me cry because that usually means sadness. This was pure live and joy. Winner!!!
