Rate this book
From the USA Today & International Bestselling Author Diana Nixon comes a brand new, dark romantic mystery about giving a second chance to feelings that should never be forgotten.

Not all fairytales are bathed in magic. Some are dipped in tears, grief, and blood.
And mine? It was submerged in all of the above.

Three years ago, leaving San Fernando felt like the best way out of the mess I was neck-deep in. An addict to all things forbidden, I betrayed everyone I loved and watched my little sister pay for my sins with her life. An escape felt like a blessing, so I ran away and left the ashes of my past drift behind me.
This is why returning to my hometown was never on the menu.
Nor was falling in love with my childhood friend whose heart had been irreparably broken by yours truly.
But my father’s death turned out to be a twist I wasn’t expecting, and I had no choice but to come back home, face my demons, and head the family and what was left of my father’s business.

My new life was hell on earth. Everyone hated me.
And I…
I loved the only girl I knew would NEVER be mine.

A standalone story that opens Saint No More - a series of romance novels about hate, revenge, passion, and love at a young age evolving into HEA.

I absolutely love Diana Nixon's writing style. She has an inviting way of writing. Her books are easy to read and you get swallowed up quickly in the stories and characters.

All My Nevers is the story of Kayden and Amelie.
The book starts off at the funeral of Kaydan's father. We immediately find out Kade hates his father and is only there because he has to be.
After the funeral his mother asks him to stay until the will is read. He sees Amelie Lessard. The girl he used to love. And her brother Andre, who used to be his best friend.
I love how hold and hard Kayden his. He truly guards his heart closely.

Then there is a three year time skip into the past. Kayden is a popular student. Has a popular girlfriend. And when Amelie and Andre move back into town with their grandmother. Things change quickly.
I love how drawn Amelie and Kayden are together. I loved seeing Andre fall in love with Khloe, Kayden's sister.

The book has such a feel good vibe. I love all the troubles in it. But the core of this book is about love and trust and truly being there for the other one.

I love how Amelie at first tries to keep him at a distance. And I admire her reasons why.
My heart broke when Kayden find out something horrible that broke him, and made him leave in the first place.

Then we skip back in time again towards the scene about the will. And how the story evolves and develops is great to read.

I am madly in love with grandma Odette. She is one hell of a grandma to have.
And I love who everything got tidied up in the end.

And that epilogue! My heart burst with joy when Kaydan saw what Amelie did for him, and them on their wedding day.

Brilliant story. Absolutely loved it and I truly recommend it!

This is such a great read.
This book at it heart is a love story and centers around Kayden & Amelie but its also about familial love, unconditional love and the betrayal, hurt and heartbreak that come with it.
All the characters are well written and relatable which makes this book so hard to put down.

''Hope is a heartless traitor. You never know what to expect from it. One second, it gives you wings, and the next, it tears them out of your flesh...''

Thank you so much Diana for giving me opportunity to read ARC for All My Nevers. I am eager to see how life is treating someone well known in All Our Flaws. This goes without saying - All thoughts are my own and left voluntarily.

This story is not only about love between Kayden and Amelie. In it's core it's about family love and acceptance. Hatred, betrayal, secrets and hardships. It's full of life, dreams, innocence, second chances and young love. And all the dark and ugly emotions that sometimes see the surface of so called perfect life. It was interesting to read 2 timelines : one was backstory before certain tragic event and second was present day.

It was easy and quick read, and it was full of realistic emotions that everyone of us can identify with. I read it in one breath. I really enjoyed Diana's writing, emotions she put into the book, quotes and well written characters. I felt their emotions, heartbreak and loss as it was my own. Did I felt tear on my face? Yes, yes I did.

Kade was the golden boy who had everything he ever needed. He had a family who loved and cared for him, a sister who he adored, and a girl he was madly in love with who loved him back just to name a few of his countless blessing. All was right in the world and he only saw an even better future for himself and those he held close.

Amalie had just put back together the pieces of her broken heart. Just four years earlier her parents were killed in a helicopter crash. She, along with her brother and grandmother, went to France to get away from the city that reminded them all of her parents. When they returned to San Fernando, her friendship with her friend next door picked up right where it left off. That gave her numerous chances to see the boy that she was quickly falling in love with.

It was a weird dating dynamic. Kade and Amalie were falling head over heels for each other. So were their respective siblings, Khloe and Andre. The four even went on a couples/siblings/friends ski trip. Then one night, after a party, Kade learns some life devastating news. He starts falling into a hole that has no bottom. Kade leaves for London to get away from his pain left every one behind.

Four years later, still bitter and not fully pieced back together, Kade returns to San Fernando. He sees the faces that he has tried so hard to forget and leave behind. Does he follow his heart and stay? Or should he do what has been doing for the last four years and stay as far away from them as possible?

This book had two stories. The first half was in the past as the second half was present day. It was a nice way to see the cause and effect. The plot twists were gasp worthy. Even when somethings played out as guessed, they still shocked me to read them.

This is a really good heartbreaking story that hooked me from the beginning. This is a story of Kayden who returns home to attend his father's funeral after leaving because of a tragic incident causing his sister's death. At the funeral he meets the woman he loved Amelie and his best friend Andre. He’s made to stay for the reading of the will and he finds himself at the head of the family and it’s business. I loved this story, romance mixed with mystery, great chemistry with a side of angst. The book is really well written, it flows smoothly, and there are some very emotional moments I highly recommend!

Kayden had to return home to attend his father's funeral as he had originally left it due to causing his sister's death. That meant he had left the woman he loved and his childhood best friend Amelie Lessard behind only to see her and her brother Andre (who had been his best friend) at the funeral. Made to stay for the reading of the will, he now finds himself at the head of the family and what is left of his father's business. Now he has to face all of his demons.

I loved this story which was a love story mixed in with a mystery about what actually happened three years ago. I really enjoyed the author's writing style which easily involved me in the story and I felt invested in both Kayden and Amelie and their love for each other. There are some emotional moments and so be prepared with tissues. I loved the ending and the epilogue which definitely was a nice touch. I need to give a big shout out to grandma Odette - I really hope I turn out into someone just as cool as her at her age! Contains some mature content.

- “If you ever doubt what you do, ask yourself if it makes you happy. If the answer is yes, then go for it.” This was a book that kept me on the edge of my seat. A beautiful love story filled with regret, loss, and heartbreak. This is Kayden and Amelie’s book. They were high school sweethearts. When a particular secret is revealed Amelie stands by him. But when they think the worst is over another tragedy comes to the couple. These two went through some tough trauma and family issues. Which sent Kade running and ultimately was what broke the couple. But now years later Kayden is back for his father’s funeral and sees her for the first time since that very tragic day. So can he get back the girl he wants still, can she let the man in that broke her heart. The character building was insane. We slowly got to see how much they have grown and matured. Multiple times I wanted to smack Kayden don’t get me wrong, but I understood where he was coming from as well. This was a romantic suspense that kept me turning the page. The twist at the end was crazy as well. I definitely recommend. It had romance action and some spice. (Requested a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.)

I loved reading about Kade and Amelie! They met in high school and there was an instant connection. Their love for each other was evident from the beginning. Her brother and his sister even start dating. Kade wants all his nevers to be with Amelie. When a family secret comes out it destroys Kade. What could it be? Amelie is still by his side though. They plan on going away to London for school. When a family tragedy happens, Kade leaves town for 3 years, leaving Amelie behind. Kade comes back home, after another family tragedy and things aren’t the same. Can he and Amelie get back what they had before or is it too late? Has Amelie already moved on? Kade definitely holds out hope he can be with Amelie. There are so many other things going on his life, between his fathers business and a certain tragedy that happened before Kade left and figuring out what really happened. Amelie seems to still have a spark for the one man who holds a place in her heart still. In the end, is the love Kade and Amelie still have enough for each other to stand the test of time and have a happy ending.

He left town three years ago without a word. Now he's back and determined to make amends for the past - but it is easier said than done when the past is not as one thinks.
Anything can happen when young upper-class kids get bored.

This is my first book by the author and I'm impressed. Great writing style in this semi-angsty second chance romance with a dash of mystery and unpredictable plot twists. Just like you think you've figured the story out, it's taking an unexpected turn.

Well written characters, especially Amelie, Andre and Khloe. And don't underestimate Alex! Unfortunately I didn't feel the 'I must love you' connection to Kayden. Or maybe it's just the richer-than-rich lifestyle I can't relate too? But a certain car scene, people! It's worth it all!

This is the first standalone in the Saint No More series - romances about hate, revenge and a passionate HEA. With that said; I hope we get to see Andre find happiness (favorite character!)

All My Nevers is a modern tragedy of the King Lear ilk. At the beginning, the hero is a king among his high school crowd - captain of the football team, wealthy, heir to his father's fortune, able to have any girl he wants. He has everything and takes it all fore granted, and then slowly, his pride and the sins of his forefathers begin to tear it all apart until he finds himself naked and alone, not on the heath, but in the wine cellar.
Having lost everything he values, he sets off on the hero's journey and, banished from home, he finds himself and becomes the man he needs to be before returning home and setting his world to rights. Unlike the classic tragedy, this one actually has a happy ending though there's a lot of pain and sacrifice to be made before he can finally regain his crown and his queen.
This one was an interesting read - not always a pleasant one, but definitely worth reading.

I received a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review. This was a second chance romance, with ANGST. Kayden and Amelie meet in high school and fall for one another almost instantly. It doesn’t take long for them to know they are one another’s forever. After tragedy hits, all plans get blown up and lives get destroyed. The heartbreak that all the characters experience was so hard to read from both the main characters’ point of view. It makes you feel like you want to be right there with them to comfort them and fix all the wrong decisions that were made. The twists and turns are thrown at you until the very end of the book. This was a story beautifully written about first love, heartbreaking losses and a second chance for happiness. I loved this book. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Ok, I didn’t think I needed a good cry but boy was I wrong. You will instantly fall in love with Kayden and Amelie. Insta love in high school when they first met.

After a secret is revealed, Kayden is devastated but Amelie stays by his side. After plans of them leaving together are made, another devastating incident leaves Kayden running away, for years. After his father dies, he reluctantly returns home.

Can Kayden and Amelie rekindle what they had before or is it too late? Is Amelie in love with someone else? Will their chemistry be as strong as it once was?

This book was so heart wrenching. It will leave you in tears. You will feel every emotion they do throughout this book. A true page turner. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

I received this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

I enjoy a good romance that starts from high school and into adult years. I love reading the growth from the characters and how their relationships develop during the years.
This book brought back so much nostalgia in regards to the high school setting. I was bullied in high school but I do have some good memories, and reading All My Nevers almost made me want to go back to my school days. 😅
Diana gave me all of the feels with her book. I laughed and I cried. Something bad happens to one of the characters, and it didn’t help that that character shared the same name as my child. So it impacted more than I thought it would. But I’m not complaining. If a book can make me cry, then it’s a well written book.
I’m gutted to have finished Kayden and Amelie’s story, so I hope I get to read a mention of them in the rest of the series.

Most of the first half was their backstory what events happened before the catalyst that divided these young loves apart. The 2nd half in present day, 3 years later, and what their lives are now. Kayden ‘Kay’ and Amelie ‘Unicorn aka Licorne’ (French for unicorn) have off the charts chemistry and when one is upset the other feels it or their passion. The only thing is wasn’t prepared for and he failed to tell her was about a certain part of his life In London until she sees it a few chapters before the ending. Doesn’t end in a cliffhanger, more like a HFN. I do hope that Amelie’s brother Andre will get his HEA after the devastating loss he suffered in this story, his might be full of pain and more.

This is Kayden and Amelie's emotional story full of trauma, regrets, heartbreak and loss. Their journey will break your heart have the tissues handy. Kayden and Amelie met in HS and they fell for each other almost instantly knowing that they're meant to be together forever. Until tragedy strikes changing everything and destroying lives in the process. We get both POV'S which really makes the story better IMO as well as the mystery that added another element to their story. The chemistry between the two of them was insane. You really need to read this emotional story to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

I absolutely loved this book. Kade and Amelie met in high school and had an instant connection. A family secret is revealed and that totally destroys Kade. Through it all Amelie is by his side. When suddenly family tragedy strikes. Kade can't get over it and leaves town without a word leaving Amelie behind.

After 3 years Kade comes back home but things aren't the same. Can he make amends for the past?
Has Amelie already moved on? Can they get back the time the lost?

This book had it all love, lost, intrigue and betrayal. Just when you think you've figured the story out, it's taking an unexpected turn.

Great characters and the writing was excellent. The angst is real.. I can't wait for the next book.

So this book made me feel all kind of emotions! Happiness, sadness, excitement and so much more! I really loved the story of Kade and Amelie yet I was extremely sad with the death of an important person to whom I'd been connected a bit. Nevertheless the story was amazing and I loved the fact that the characters were written as real people with problems and emotions to deal with. The only reason I'm putting four stars is because for my "taste" the story was kind of slow but even so it was very good! I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good young adult romance and also a little bit of crying!!!

Kaden traumatized by his sisters death leaves everything and everyone behind, including the lovely of his life Amelie . Now hes back because of his fathers funeral and he has to come face to face with everyone he left and deal with he consequences.

Amelie and Kaydens story is fast paced, unable to resist each other.
As much as I like a slow burn romance more , this book had me intrigued. I needed to know what happened, how their relationship would progress and how the book ended, every page was a surprise and I really enjoyed it!

Looking forward to get my Arc copy of All Our Flaws

A great read filled with regret, loss, past trauma, a broken family and broken hearts, that all gets mended and faced in a journey of forgiveness and acceptance.
Kay left home years ago after a great loss, but after a sudden family death - one he ain't that upset about - he's in for a few major surprises. Now, there's a challenge to face, and he is the only one to save the family.
A story that takes you to past a present, takes you on a thrilling ride and gets your heart pumping.

This love story that has so many emotions in it is revolved around Kayden and Amelie. High school sweet heart that have a tragic history. But unknowingly Kayden has more going on than any one knows. After running away Kayden comes back to town, but not on his own free will, but the death of his father. This is where things get real crazy. This was a wonderful read with so much detail and character building. I love it when you get that from an author. Great read, thank you Diana Nixon.

A love worth fighting for

Kayden and Amelie - what a love story. It wasn't easy and when most people would have given up, these 2 were fighters.

My heart broke so many times for Kaden throughout the book. Don't get me wrong. There were other times I wanted to help knock some sense into him.

Amelie was such a beautiful character. I loved watching her grow, my heart breaking for her and then cheering her on.

The dramatic twist right there at the end...whew, I didn't see that one coming.

I absolutely loved this book and couldn't put it down!
