You'll love Prince Oscar and Athena's enemies to lovers romance. She's forbidden since she's a commoner but he's been in love with her since forever. He's sexy and gorgeous but she has no interest in him after he broke her heart when they were fourteen. She didn't know that the King had ordered him to break up with her and his own heart was also broken that day. He's under pressure to marry a suitable woman and have heirs to the throne. He comes to Athena's assistance when she's stalked by a guy from her college. He comes us with a plan to protect her. Does being together make old feelings surface? Do they stand up to the King? Do they get their happy forever? What a great book with well developed characters. I read a free copy via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! Oscar sexy as all get out prince, under pressure to marry, have babies (heirs) to take over, in love with a commoner, and isn’t sure who he will find to live up to the women of his dreams. Athena intelligent, home from college, the daughter of the king’s secretary and can’t stand the prince. These two grew up together from the time they were kids, as they grew into teenage years, they started noticing one another and neither of their parents were happy about it. He father was none to nice about telling him when he was teenager to walk away from Athena, she wasn’t in his class nor was she fit to be with him so walk away and put a stop to whatever they were feeling for each other including being friends because he needed to do what was right for his country. He did as his father said hurting her in a way he couldn’t come back from, he told her she was bet, and he wanted to beat his brother by kissing her first and he doesn’t like her, informed her that her father was nothing more than a servant and she would be one as well soon, he could never like a girl with no rank. He broke his heart at the same time he broke her heart leaving them both in pain but her with an impression of who/what kind of king he would be. Athena never forgot what he told her when they were just fourteen, growing up going off to college and home on a break but she is having an issue with a stalker who seems to think she belongs tot him. Yep, Prince Oscar steps in to protect her and may have a solution to her issue by them pretending to be together but what happens when emotions resurface and the feelings they have for one another but will Oscar be strong enough to stand up for her, stand up to his father the king, will she forgive him for hurting her so many years ago, and is it possible they can be together a commoner and the prince?

This is book one in The Protective Prince's Series and it is Oscar and Anthena's story. Oscar and Anthena have history as they grew up together but his father who is the king was not happy with there situation so he put a stop to it breaking both of there heart's. Anthena has never forgiven Oscar for the way he treated her but now she is back from college but has a stalker and that is when Oscar steps up to protect her but things start to get complicated when feelings come in to play but how.Will it all end for them. I really enjoyed reading this book and the characters and storyline was so engaging and I couldn't put it down as it kept your attention and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. This is a new author to me and I look forward to reading more book's in the future and this book was so well written and definitely worth reading.

Athena and Prince Oscar had deep feelings for each other until the King ordered Oscar to end it all for the good of the country. He broke both their hearts that day. She went off to college and now is coming back with a stalker following her. Oscar can think of only one thing to do.... have her act like they are a couple again to thwart the stalker so he leaves her alone. The bond they had before starts to grow stronger but do they have the maturity to disobey the King?
The characters are growing up throughout this book, with great backstories and intense feelings. The storyline follows their roller coaster ride of romance with drama, danger, surprises, twists, misconceptions, lies and steamy romance. Loved that he cared enough to get them together again. Great ending.

Athen and Prince Oscar have a history and it ended badly because of his father the King. Now she back in town because she has a stalker and is trying to deal with it. However, Oscar hasn't forgotten her and his feelings come rushing back when he sees her again. When he learns of the stalker he steps in to offer her some help. Will they deal with her stalker? Is this a second chance for them?

This is an great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

loved it !!! love Athena... Oscar ? tool... he broke his own heart when he broke hers... he did this because his father the king told him to... he did it for his country... he did it because he had no choice... he was cruel... she's back on holiday from college... she's running scared...the only way to protect her.. is a fake relationship... what happens when it feels real ? what about his duties and his father ? will she ever forgive him ?

This is the 1st book I've read written by Kindra Woods; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

She has written a good short story. The story is about Athena & Prince Oscar; he’s been interested in her for awhile now but she doesn’t want anything to do with him, which makes his family happy. When she returns from college everything changes; she's followed home by a stalker so he comes up with a plan to pretend they are dating for her protection.

Oscar knew his mind from the start, but he was taught Country over heart. When he was forced to break a young girls heart at the age of 15, he didn't look back. That was until she was grown and needed protection from a stalker. Athena gave her heart once she isn't foolish enough to do it again, but the Prince made an offer she couldn't refuse, hopefully she can keep her heart protected this time around. Really great characters, danger just a step behind and a growing love that was never extinguished.

Really different

I am not used to read this type of stories but I loved it... I panicked when the cat got hurt... Epic wicked story....
