Everything changed when Ally was pronounced dead for exactly 3 minutes.
Forty-one, widowed, and an empty nester. That was Ally’s life before the accident.
In those brief moments on the other side she saw vast blue waters, endless coastline, and the familiar sound of her best friends laugh.
Spurred on by these images, she contacts an estranged friend about her family home in Maine which needs to be sold.
Arriving on the island to find the house in much worse shape than she ever imagined, Ally becomes the talk of the village – and the object of a handsome local man’s affection. Trying to juggle the house renovations, her old friend, and dating – it’s a whole new world.
Through impulsive romances, rekindled relationships and discovering a family past she never knew about, Ally finds out that her life is only just beginning.
This feel-good beachside read is the perfect escape from everyday life. If women's fiction and clean romance are your thing, this series is a must-read for you!

This is a review of the six books in the series. There are many things to like about this series. Each book is a quick read. Everything dovetails nicely. The characters are all likeable and all has a happy ending. There are a few irritating things. Why must we write our older women characters acting like teenagers. Butterflies in the stomach, constant blushing, tongue tied etc. My god, you have adult children and in one case a grandchild!
Beginnings can be hard when you're alone. Finding joy in your adventures and the people you meet are what life is about. Learning to live and just be can be a challenge, but when you yield... it's what living is all about. Growth is an everyday thing. We all need to allow newness and just live.
I have read several of your romantic series and I've loved all of them! I also appreciate that your novels have multiple love stories in each series and that they are suitable for Christians to read. Keep writing and sharing your talents with we, the readers! ☺
This series was a good clean midlife story of a widow who was hit by a car, but she also has an empty nest. ALLY Inherts a house from her grandparents. I found this story to be good with a great storyline it was a page turner. I would recommend for all to read
A wonderful set of stories about families. They get to travel also. Second chance at love is a theme too. I am sure that you will enjoy reading these books. Have fun !!!
A lighthearted, fun, and fast- paced read. An inheritance that leads to new ideas and trips to faraway places and finding oneself along the way. A family brought together through love.
I literally had just returned from an island off of Maine so I could picture everything in this book. It was a great family and community story that kept me reading. I can't wait to read another series.
I enjoyed this series very much! The characters were well formed, the story lines fun, the book was well written involving no sex/violence which I appreciated. Easy to just keep on reading!
Each and every page! Loved the series, was hard to wait for each continuagion! Now I feel sad because I want more. More about the retreat, the artists and the daily living of all the friends.
This little island in Maine produced quite a group of family and friends that eventually converged at this Russo House and produced hope, happiness and plenty of grief. I'm they all wound up with a happily ever after.
This is one of the best novels of Sage Parker's that I have read...while all of them have been good, I loved all of the different places and adventures that this book takes you on...a hostel for a grownup! ? Who would have thought!
These books are really a lovely ride through life, it’s changes and how it can grow. Two friends in the beginning reconnecting and many more meetings and then families made all together.
This set of stories was ok. I had hoped it would would have been more focused on the Maine house, instead of Ally traveling to Italy, Scotland and Greece.
I loved this series it was fun exciting and made me rekindle my love for my husband. I loved all the characters an d the writing made me want to visit each place.
This was such a wonderful story of unexpected events causing life changes. A return to the past and discovery of the new creates a life full of all that makes Ally discover a loving & happy place that feels like “home”.
Purchased this book for my mom and after she read it she shared it with me. It was great to read on the flight home. Quick read. Very clean starting over widowed & single mom- Ally meets Jason.
Fun series of short, easy reads. A little drawn out in the major love story plot, which, combined with quite a few spelling and grammatical errors, keeps this from being a five star read for me.
