Mr. Fireworks
No matter his reputation, that man melted my heart. Plain and simple. I mean, Christian included cuddling as a lesson! *sigh* So incredibly sweet! 😍💖🎉 And while we're on the subject of his lessons, those make-out sessions were amazing and incredibly arousing.
Let me back up a bit. Hannah is ready for some adult experience during her summer break and she's chosen Christian to teach her all about it. It's a task that he takes seriously and goes about with great care - which I LOVE. 💘 She's been hurt by others and he's laid witness to the devastation that comes from failed relationships. Thus leaving them both hesitant to pursue anything permanent. But...
It's a really good book with plenty of heat 🔥 but even more heart 💙. Christian and Hannah are terrific together with realistic expectations and experiences.
You can read this as a standalone but you might enjoy it better reading the series in order. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

He’d been with a lot of women over the past ten years, but none of them had ever made him feel like this, like just being around them was the key to happiness. Only Hannah, his best friend’s little sister, made him feel that way. The one woman who was supposed to be off limits. Who could cost him his closest friend.
It's a really good book with plenty of heat 🔥 but even more heart 💙. Christian and Hannah are terrific together with realistic expectations and experiences.

4 - "Just... for the summer." Stars!
Another great addition to the Dallas Longhorns series, I know Christian and Hannah's novella initially started life in an anthology, but I enjoyed their story so much I wish the author had added more content to it, before releasing it as a book in its own right.
It had only been a year, and he'd somehow gotten even sexier during that time...
Best friends little sister, is one of my favourite tropes, add in the fact Christian agrees to give Hannah some sexual experience before she goes away to university and its all done in secret and I was hooked from the start.
It was starting to mean something... To the both of them.
There's plenty of scope for this series to continue, and I hope Hannah's brother Jordan is on the line-up at some point, and I cannot wait for more Longhorns shenanigans in the future.

Slow climb towards the torrid

It's a very well-written story, and although I generally don't like slow-evolving stories, here I appreciated the rise in feelings and relationships between Christian, a baseball player in the midst of doubts, and Hannah.
I really liked the fact that the story starts in Christian's head, during a match, and that you can hear his thoughts and everything that prevents him from succeeding.
The romantic part is more predictable: Christian and Hannah, the sister of his best friend Jordan, are staying with Jordan temporarily. They have always had a secret crush and the story with the sister of the best friend when one has a plummeting reputation can only get complicated, especially when the two strike an unorthodox agreement.

All the Dallas Longhorns! This is book 6 in the series and I think I’ve missed a couple but they are well worth the read. The characters are usually robust, the storyline’s are good, and there’s usually plenty of chemistry and steam.
In book 6 we see Christian (the Manwhore) Hale, recently sacked by Toronto for off-field discretions and dalliances and traded to Dallas, where he’s staying with his college room-mate Jordan, now a fixture at Dallas. Christian is unable to get his head in the game and is failing to impress at his new club. When Jordan’s younger sister Hannah comes to stay, there is an instant attraction, the pair having known each other for some time. Hannah’s got a proposition for Christian that he can’t refuse, as it’s going to help him with his pre-game (ummm) ritual as well as helping her out with an issue she’s having as well. But Jordan can’t find out.
This is a best friends’ sister, friends to lovers, jock and the nerd romance. Christian is a largely likeable rogue who finds a more sensitive side when he’s with Hannah and he talks about being motivated to be the man she needs him to be. Hannah’s a quiet girl and very naive, my only wish for her was to be fleshed out with some friendships and a bit more of a life so she is not so reliant on Christian for everything.
Another great instalment in the Longhorns. I always devour these books.

Just looking at that cover I knew I was in for a treat and this hot sports romance did not disappoint. Christian and Hanna were absolutely magic together. It was the combination of the forbidden secret romance element, as Hannah is Christian's best friend's little sister. Although at twenty two, Hannah may be inexperienced, but having had a crush on Christian growing up, she knows he would make the perfect teacher for her first time so she can feel more experienced before she heads off to grad school.
Christian was definitely the perfect example of what Hannah had been waiting for, their intimacy was off the charts hot and their chemistry was undeniable. I really enjoyed this and finished it in one sitting, a great read from start to finish.

I love this series!!! Christian and Hannah are terrific. Both hurt by others in the past and afraid to trust again, they come to a mutually beneficial arrangement. Christian is so well-written - kind, supportive with plenty of heat and Hannah really struck a chord with me as she dealt with the long term effects of teenage bullying. One of the best things about Tara Wyatt is that she writes her characters with intelligence and maturity. The characters communicate with each other - granted, not always well as that leads to the conflict in the book to be resolved for the HEA - but they are human in their reactions and that makes her books so enjoyable to read. Another great book in the Longhorns series!

This is a fun, quick read that I loved!
A sports romance with best friends little sister trope that ticks all the boxes.
It’s fast paced and with enough steam to make you blush. Everything you want in a romance book.
Well written, and although short, I enjoyed the characters and their stories.
Highly recommend this series!

This is the 1st book I read by Tara Wyatt. I loved ❤ this book's storyline. I loved ❤ the baseball ⚾ scenes in this story. I loved ❤ the hot 🔥 & steamy scenes. I loved ❤ Hannah's character. I loved ❤ Christian's character. I loved ❤ the ending. Awesome job Ms. Wyatt.

"Shut. Up. You're going to be a librarian?"
Another fun and flirty addition to this series! I liked both Hannah and Christian and thought they were a cute little couple. I'm glad this didn't feel like the usual brother's best friend trope either. Alhtough Hannah does mention she had a crush on Christian when they were younger, it wasn't the stereotypical 'I was enamoured with him and did everything I could to get his attenion, but he ignored me' situation.
Hannah's past had me wanting to give her a big cuddle and given I'm a big reader myself, I can definitely get why she prefers to just be alone reading somewhere, because same girl. I love the light flirtiness between her and Christian though when she gets to the house and the way it develops into more sexual tension between them as they agree to go ahead with Hannah's plan.
"Hannah, you just caught me jerking off. I think we're past shyness."
Christian's maturity and the way he pushes Hannah to become more confident was so sweet to see too. Although he's definitely benefitting from the situation, he still actually tries to make it about her and achieving her goals. And although it contributed to his hurt, I'm actually glad the reason he was traded to the Longhorns played out as it did because it felt like a bit of a role reversal. Usually it's the girl who ends up in that siuation both in real life and in the books, and whilst what happened definitely wasn't on him, it was nice to see a regular siituation changed up a little.
I do wish Hannah had given Christian more of a chance to explain when everything starts to go wrong for them though, and I hated that Jordan turned into the shitty friend at the point. But I can also see why it needed to happen that way for the rest of the storyline to play out as it did.
Overall, another enjoyable story in this series with some good chemistry and steamy sexting between the couple which I've come to expect from this author. I've really liked the baseball element to this too, even though I have no knowledge of the game. There's obviously a lot of mention and relation to the game, but I never felt tired of seeing it or wishing that there were less related scenes. I do wish the story maybe had a bit more depth/length though as I've found that each of these books have been quite quick and in the grand scheme, quite surface level. However, I've still really liked reading them and hope there will be more to this series. Definitely hoping that Jordan gets a book as I imagine it will be a real treat to see him fall in love. The scene where he's trying to make up with Christian in this book had me laughing so much, given the way he was behaving like a little teenage boy, working out near Christian and constantly glancing over, but not quite ready to admit that he wants to be friends again. *So sweet!*

This is book six in The Dallas Longhorns Series and it is Hannah and Christian's story and it is definitely a must read. Christian has been traded to The Dallas Longhorns after a scandal in Toronto and he was also staying with his best friend Jordan who is also a Dallas Longhorns but Christian is struggling at the moment and needed desperately to get his grove back before he looses everything that he has worked for. Hannah is staying with her brother Jordan for the summer before heading to grad school in California only when she got to her brother's house it wasn't him that answered the door that would have been to easy instead it was her brother's best friend and her crush Christian and now they were going to be living in the same house this could only ever happen to her but what Hannah doesn't realise is that Christian has had a crush on her for a few years. Hannah is quiet, shy, doesn't trust easily and lacks confidence but she has a bucket list and the main thing on it is to loose her v card and to learn what to do in the bedroom to give herself more confidence and she knows just the perfect man to ask to help her and hopefully he will agree as she isn't looking for a relationship. Christian can't believe what Hannah is asking him but he has decided to help her gain experience as neither are looking for a relationship so hopefully this will be good and work for them both as long as no feelings get involved and Jordan doesn't find out about it as it could ruin everything. Omg Hannah and Christian have intense chemistry and it gets stronger the more time that they spend together but what will happen if the secret that they are keeping gets discovered only time will tell what the outcome will be. This book was absolutely amazing and I couldn't put it down as it was so addictive and a real page turner. Tara Wyatt is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and on the edge of their seats and I can't wait to read more of her books in the future as they are definitely worth reading.

This is a short novella, 10 chapters + an epilogue 3 months later. It’s a trope that has been done many times before. I like a sports romance, I like a brothers best friend love interest, I love a nerdy heroine. So quite a win. Because of the novella it doesn’t get too deep into the feelings department. The couple start a friends with benefits relationship and of course it’s pretty clear how it will resolve. They make a cute couple and I liked both characters. Although I’m a fan for all the above, I start to dislike the virgin heroine / manwhore hero couple. Especially one where the hero has a crush in the heroine for years but instead of pursuing her, he whores around. It would be so much interesting to have a heroine who knows what she wants and likes sexually AND have an active sex life. And please let there be more heroes who can keep it in their pants. But that’s just personal preference.
Safety: this is a safe read. Hero was a manwhore, needing to have sex with women before each game to “perform”. When you do the counting in the last 10 years, you know his number. 🙈 Heroine was a virgin. No OW/OM drama, cheating or sex with OP.

Since this book was short and sweet (more of a novella than a full-fledged book, really), that's how my review shall be, too.
It was fine. The writing was good, the characters quite generic. It was really hot, but also extremely predictable. In all honesty, I've read better guy-in-love-with-BFFs-little-sister.
My least favorite part was the last conflict in the end. The book was doing well until that came about (I couldn't help but roll my eyes and sigh with disappointment). Hannah already knew about Christian's previous womanizing ways and pre-game ritual. So her reaction seemed way out of proportion about the whole slumpbuster thing.
But I enjoyed how the intimacy and sex aspects were tackled.
All in all, if you have a few hours to kill and feel like adding a little steam and spice to your day, this book is a good choice.

This story is amazing.
I am in love with Christian and Hannah. What starts as a summer fling turns into so much more, and it was just so satisfying to read.
Christian doesn’t do relationships. His father left his mother when Christian was young and he saw what happens when people hurt each other. Hannah has trouble trusting people. She was bullied all through childhood and had a horrible prank played on her in high school by a guy she thought liked her. What is so great about this story is that together they help each other work through those traumas from their pasts and come to realize they want more. It was a real joy to see Christian and Hannah grow and mature throughout the story.
This story was so hot and sexy. Whew!! The chemistry between these two was combustible, and I just freaking loved every bit of it.

A short but quite entertaining book, sweet and with a lot of steam. Christian and Hannah are goals! They have both dealt with difficult situations that have changed their outlook on life. Hannah seeks to live new experiences and Christian a more peaceful life and away from emotional problems. She manages to convince him to be her master in the lovemaking arts, of course, without involving feelings. However, she has a crush on him and Christian can't help but notice his best friend's "little sister". I enjoyed reading this book, I loved their personalities and the strong connection they developed.

Wow this is a 🔥 read. Hannah is a sly book smart 22 year old woman who come to stay with her brother, Jordan. Christian is Jordan's best friend who is staying with him till he gets settled with his new team the longhorns. Great read😀😀

Hugely enjoyable story

I am fairly new to Tara Wyatt and her books but I have really fallen in love with her writing style and her short, hot and engaging romances. This is the 6th in Wyatt's Dallas Longhorn’s series focussing on the players and staff of Dallas’s hottest baseball team. While there is some crossover and character cameos, each book stands completely alone and follows a different couple with their own HEA.
This book is full of some of my favourite tropes. We’ve got best friend’s little sister, a virgin heroine, temporary relationship and, of course, it’s a sports romance.
In this book we have a new trade, Christian, going through a hard time professionally and personally. He’s always had a bit of a crush on nerdy little Hannah and I loved the way he was completely honest about how cute he found her - it was sweet and endearing. He was a likeable character and despite having a reputation, I felt he was all in with Hannah from the first.
I adored Hannah as a character. She was cute - just like Christian said - and a bit nerdy. She was completely herself and while she wanted to make changes to her circumstances, she was always herself. The way she asked for what she wanted - even though she was nervous about doing so - was really lovely. I felt a kinship with her and I admired her - all the things you want in a heroine.
As a couple, I really loved Christian and Hannah. They were a great match and holy hell were they hot. There’s a lot of learning as Christian teaches Hannah which means there’s a lot of talking and finding out what each other likes. Goodness, I feel a hot flush coming on just thinking of all the chemistry and the heat! *Happy swoons*
This is a fairly short book and although we have the tension over when and where and how Jordan will inevitably find out about our pair, there is minimal angst. This is the perfect read when you’re looking for a quick sporty romance with a great, believable couple set in a world I love living in and coming back to time and again. There’s heat, chemistry and an all-round likeability. I practically devoured this story and cements Ms Wyatt as my newest auto-buy author. 5 stars.

And this is a very cute couple. Hannah is the nerdy, shy sister of Jordan, the baseman of the Dallas Longhorns. Jordan promised her she could stay with him during the summer, but accidentally forgot that he offered a place to stay to his new team member (and old high school friend) Christian. Hannah has had a crush on Christian for forever. But now way that her older brother’s hot friend would be interested in her.
Christian has had a scandal follow him and he needs to lay low. But when his friends baby sister propositions him to teach her some bed activities, he can’t say no. But of course, it needs to be kept a secret, because of the brothercode. But what he didn’t expect, was to fall for Hannah. But when Jordan finds out, all hell will break loose.

Christian, 26, is an MLB player who has been in a hitting slump after being traded to Texas after a sex scandal with his former team and his teammates think he needs a slumpbuster because he is letting his thoughts interfere with his game. Hannah, 22, has just finished college and is going to start grad school in library science but is spending the summer in Texas with her brother. When she arrives at her brother’s, his teammate Christian is also living there until he can find a new place. Christian and Hannah had met 4 years ago and he had been attracted to her but her over protective brother had warned him that she was off-limits to him. Hannah had been a shy, smart, nerdy child who had been protected from bullies by her brother. However, Hannah wants to lose her virginity before she moves to California and she trusts Christian, so she asks him to teach her about sex with a no-strings relationship. Christian doesn’t do relationships so he agrees to give her lessons. What will happen when her brother discovers them together? Do they Hannah and Christian have a relationship or is it just sex?
I loved this story with the shy, nerdy girl and the baseball star. The author did a great job developing the characters so you could see how Hannah’s childhood was affecting her life. I've read quite a few books that follow the theme of older brother's best friend teaches them the way of luuurve (or rather sex) and in the process, the couple falls for one another. Even though this is a plot that comes up time and time again when it's done well, it is really enjoyable and that is certainly the case with Scoring Position.
Hannah want's to get some experience before moving to California to do some further studies. She's in her early 20's and wants to experience that side of things. She's had a rough time in her teen years, being bullied and then humiliated by someone she thought was a friend and interested in her, so she struggles to trust. She finds someone that she can rely on in Christian.
Christian and Hannah make a great couple and despite his reputation, he is really sweet and they work well together. This was a quick read, but one that I really enjoyed.

Scoring Position
It's just casual... until it's not.
Delicious, that's what Christian & Hannah's story is. Pure, v-card vs. playboy, brother's best friend/best friend's little sister & long-time crush, nerdy vs. jock, keepin' it casual to catching feels deliciousness. With a sprinkling of a few other tropes in the mix.
Christian was sweet, sexy and has a fine filthy mouth and Hannah is sweet, cute and innocent without being annoyingly so.
I loved the sneaking around, and the scene where Jordan (the brother/best-friend) finds out is fantastic. I loved everything about it.
I'm totally hooked on the Dallas Longhorns series, and can't wait to read the next one! Christian's story overlaps the Hit and Run timeline (Beau & Piper's story) but it's completely standalone so while you don't have to read the first 5 books, you really, really should.

This is the first book I have read in the Dallas Longhorns series and it was very easy to follow along since this book was about a new couple with just cameos by those from previous books. I really enjoy Tara Wyatt's reading style because she has great story lines, lots of chemistry and always brings the heat.
Christian Hale just got traded to the Longhorns after a scandal and is trying to put the past behind him. His friend, Jacob, decides to help him out by letting Christian stay at his house until he gets his life in order. But Jacob forgot to mention that his little sister Hannah is also staying with them for the summer. Hannah Miller just finished college in Boston and is moving to California for grad school in the fall so he decides to meet in the middle and stay with her brother in Dallas for 3 months until school starts in the fall.
Hannah has big plans this summer and the main thing she wants to do is lose her virginity. When she learns that Christian will be staying with her and her brother for the summer she sees this as the perfect opportunity since Hannah has been crushing on Christian for years. She definitely wants Christian to be her first and to teach her everything about being good in bed. As these practice sessions progress, so do their feelings for one another.

If you've read Hit and Run , you got a hint of how Jordan was going to take the news that his best friend was sneaking around, sleeping with his little sister (maybe knowing about the cuddling would have helped? But probably not ;)) if you're new to the series, though, not a problem--this would be a great introduction to it.
Scoring Position was originally published in the anthology Sultry Summer Nights , but if you missed that collection, it's now available on its own!

I have a soft spot for brothers best friend trope.
Christian and Hannah are temporary living with her brother , respectively his best friend .Both are harboring hurt caused by other people , so a relationship is not something their looking for. After an awkward situation ,and taking in consideration the attraction simmering between them , they come up with a no strings fling arrangement , which is mutually beneficial. What I love about Tara's Dallas Longhorns series ,is that each story is a steamy , but with mature characters . There's not much drama going on , expect they accepting the love growing between them and trying to navigate the future as best as they can ,while taking in consideration the other ones need. This story thought really made my heart hurt when everything came to light . Hannah's hurt was so real I felt it like my own , I really connected with her character. I won't say much about the plot , only that the book has a little bit of everything. It's steamy , has funny moment and heartfelt too . Loved it ❤💔💋

And yet people give it five stars like it's the newest trope ever...🙄 I guess those free books make you say anything. These types of books are mediocre and barely deserve 3 stars, let's be honest here.

Hannah has come to live with her brother before she’s off to school again and it just so happens that her brother’s best friend, Christian, is living there as well. As always its “hands off the little sister” but Hannah has crushed on Christian for some time.
Both had childhoods that shaped them with Christian not doing relationships because when he was young his dad left his mom and he saw what hurt does to people. Hannah had been bullied her whole childhood but the big one was when she was in high school and a very damaging prank was pulled on her.
If you want steam this is the book for you. It was a great story with an HEA and now leaves me wanting for more from this author.

Hannah Miller will be starting grad school soon and over summer break she's gonna stay with her brother Jordan who plays first baseman for the Dallas Longhorns. She also wants to lose her virginity. When she arrives at her brother's house the door is answered by his best friend Christian who was just traded to the Longhorns. She is really shy, sweet and nerdy and has had a crush on him for ages and decides to proposition him. Christian has had a crush on Hannah for some time as well and neither has told the other. Now Jordan has told him to stay away from Hannah so what's he supposed to do?

This is a really sweet story with heat and enjoyable to read.
